The Reason Why Those Of Us Who Don’t Read Gawker Don’t Read Gawker Posted: 17 Jan 2011 09:11 AM PST If you are one of those people who spends all day on the internet, there’s a good chance you are a regular visitor to Gawker.com. I happen to be one of the rare all day internet people who does not visit Gawker. I’ve always had this vague feeling that if I went to their site I would be made uncomfortable. Celebrity news is creepy to begin with, and their brand of it seems, at times, especially mean spirited. To be honest, though, I could not adequately defend that claim… until today. If somebody would have asked me yesterday what is more objectionable about Gawker than any other site, I would have been able to give you nothing but a halting, fact-free avalanche of defensive nonsense, much like a person explaining why Crash deserved an Academy Award. But, today? Today I have screen capture evidence of why everyone who doesn’t read Gawker doesn’t read Gawker. JESUS CHRIST! That is the most not our business of anything that has ever happened. If you like Gawker, that’s FINE! It’s fine. A lot of people for whom I have nothing but affection and respect have both worked for and read Gawker. I’m just saying the site isn’t for me — especially in the context of the nightmare celebrity news coctail that is tween abortion. That is all. Have a great day, everyone! |
ULTIMATE EARTH SHATTERING TWILIGHT PICTURE: Bella And Edward On Their Honeymoon Posted: 17 Jan 2011 07:47 AM PST Whoa! Did you feel that? That was the whole world being jolted into a synchronized menstrual cycle. Yes, the whole world, all genders alike. DON’T WORRY! None of us are on the the “gross” part. We’re all at the “good” part. Except for us guys to whom this whole thing is new. Frankly, the whole thing seems gross to us, but, honestly, who can even concentrate on that with all of these NEW FEELINGS. Let’s all try to get through the last chapter of The “What’s Happening To My Body?” Book For Girls so we can fully understand the implications of looking at the first official photo of the honeymoon scene from Breaking Dawn in this issue of Entertainment Weekly. It’s an exclusive photo so we can’t show it on this site, but here is a screen capture of part of the photo that you can click on to see the whole thing. WHOOPS! WE ALL JUST GOT VAMPIRE PREGNANT!!!! |
