Jake Gyllenhaal Chills With Carey Mulligan In Nashville, TN

Posted: 06 Feb 2011 02:17 PM PST

When last Jake Gyllenhaal was seen in Nashville, TN, he was in the company of Taylor Swift … this weekend, Jakey poo returned to Nashville last night to chill out with actress Carey Mulligan at a basement gig performed by Mumford & Sons at City House. Jake and Carey‘s hang out session made it’s way to Twitter … along with some short, blurry video.

Tweet #1: standing next to Jake Gyllenhaal, Marcus Mumford & Carey Mulligan in a basement -sounds like a weird dream, but I assure you, it’s happening Tweet #2: best sighting ever: mumford and sons, jake gyllenhaal and carey mulligan at city house

Now, I don’t know if these two are actually hooking up or whatever … but if they did, I’d be ALL for it. I like the idea of Carey Mulligan with Jake Gyllenhaal. I think they’d made a nice pair. We shall see if they start hanging out together (especially since Carey already has a new dude) but this is a hook-up that I’d fully endorse … wouldn’t you?

Not A Super Bowl Party

Posted: 06 Feb 2011 01:44 PM PST

David and I kinda decided to throw a party at our home last night NOT as a Super Bowl party but as a party to revel with all of our friends on Super Bowl weekend. This afternoon, we will be going to Ollie and Caleb’s for the official Super Bowl party but last night was our time to just eat, drink and be merry for no reason at all.

Despite the fact that it really wasn’t a Super Bowl party, we did have signature drinks for the fete … one was named the Pittsburgh Boyfriend Steeler and the other was the Green Bay Fudgepacker. The names were totally arbitrarily named but I can let you know that more people preferred the Boyfriend Steeler drink. As host, I was very lax in taking photos … but I put out a couple of Polaroid cameras and many photos were taken of our beautiful and very fun friends. Because David wanted it to be a classy affair, he hired a bartender from HotBartendersLA.com It turns out that the guy we got, Keith, was the hot hunky guy that appeared in that parody video for Britney Spears‘s Hold It Against Me that we saw last week:

Honestly, I didn’t even realize it was him until this morning. Keith was a great bartender, he took care of everyone all night long … he even knew how to throw bottles and stuff in the air while making drinks. He didn’t break a single thing so, yeah, we liked him. All of the food we ordered was eaten (thankfully) and lots of the booze we bought was left over (thankfully). All my love goes out to David for organizing the the whole night. He deserves all the credit for all the fun we had last night.

So yeah, as I said … we will be heading downtown to Super Bowl party with Ollie and Caleb in a couple of hours:

Good luck to both the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers! May the best team win!!

Watch: ‘Wayne’s World’ Returns To ‘Saturday Night Live’

Posted: 06 Feb 2011 12:56 PM PST

Former Saturday Night Live star and current … um, I don’t know what he does these days, to be honest … Dana Carvey returned as host of SNL last night and brought along many of is classic SNL skits with him. The show opened with a pretty funny Wanye’s World skit (complete with fellow SNL alum Mike Meyers) that, IMHO, is a must see.

Even tho some of the jokes felt a bit dated, it was really very cool to see Wanye’s World again. I realized that I kinda miss the Wanye’s World Oscar Picks ;) Additionally, Carvey donned his classic Church Lady outfit for a fun new Church Chat skit lampooning the Kardashian sisters, Nicole Snooki Polizzi from Jersey Shore and featuring a guest appearance by the real Justin Bieber:

LOL!! Now this skit I thought felt fresh, funny and very timely. Honestly, the whole ep was pretty entertaining … mainly because it reminded me of the years gone by when SNL used to be consistently funny. For those of you here in the US, you can watch the entire episode of Saturday Night Live below:

Mebbe Lorne Michaels should see about bringing Dana Carvey back to the show … just an idea. Do YOU watch last night? What did you think?

Sean Avery Of The New York Rangers Fully Supports All Gay Hockey Players

Posted: 06 Feb 2011 12:29 PM PST

New York Rangers hockey player Sean Avery has spoken out publicly in a show of support for any and all gay hockey players. In new comments made to the Toronto Sun and reported by The Advocate magazine, Avery wants it known that if any gay hockey players face bullying or abuse from anyone at all, he will be happy to back them up and lend his support to them … in person!

New York Rangers forward Sean Avery has a message for gay hockey players who are scared to come out: Pick up the phone and call him. Avery, who is known to be one of the sporting world's more liberal athletes, says he'd be more than happy to serve as a support system for a gay player. “If there’s a kid in Canada or wherever, who is playing and really loves the game and wants to keep playing but he’s worried about coming out, I’d tell him to pick up the phone and call [NHLPA executive director] Donald Fehr and tell him to book me a [plane] ticket," he told the Toronto Sun. “I’ll stand beside him in the dressing room while he tells his teammates he is gay. Maybe if Sean Avery is there, they would have less of a problem with it.” Avery, who lived in West Hollywood when he played for the Los Angeles Kings and now lives in Chelsea, says he doesn't see the big deal about having an openly gay athlete in professional sports. He says there are “probably a few gay players in the NHL, but I don’t know if somebody has the courage [to come out].”

How effing cool is Sean Avery. I mean … really. These comments of support will likely mean very much to young gay athletes who feel alone and unsupported. Avery sounds like the protective big brother who will be there to have your back should a-hole bullies get in your face. I just love him. As you may recall, Avery made headlines back in 2008 when he interned at Vogue magazine. It’s clear that Sean Avery is the kind of man who is unafraid to do and stand up for what he believes. My hero :D

Britney Spears Releases A Third Teaser For Her ‘Hold It Against Me’ Music Video

Posted: 06 Feb 2011 11:54 AM PST

Another day, another short teaser clip for Britney Spears‘s upcoming new music video for Hold It Against Me has been unleashed upon the world. This clip, IMHO, isn’t all that thrilling … all we get to see is TV sets with old Britney videos playing on them … but with 11 more teaser clips to come, I guess they have to stretch out the teasers as much as they can.

It’s clear that this scene in the music video will be pretty integral to the whole thing. Check out today’s teaser clip below:

While it’s nice to see tiny glimpses of Britney‘s already iconic music videos, I’d much rather seen more new stuff. Check back again tomorrow, there’ll be another (hopefully more exciting) HIAM teaser clip. As for this clip, what do y’all think … do you like?

Newly Single Eva Longoria Coupling Up With Penélope Cruz’s Brother?

Posted: 06 Feb 2011 11:20 AM PST

Just last week we learned that Eva Longoria‘s divorce from husband Tony Parker was officially a done deal … today we learn that Eva may have already found the loving comfort of a new man. Eva was spotted yachting with Eduardo Cruz in Miami, FL. Eduardo is Penélope Cruz‘s brother … and a very hot replacement for Tony, um, Whatshisname.

Eva Longoria was spotted on a yacht in Miami yesterday with her rumored new beau, Eduardo Cruz, who just happens to be the younger brother of Penelope Cruz. She doesn’t look desperate in the slightest.

Dang … get it, gurl. I mean, Tony Parker seems like a nice guy but … Mr. Eduardo Cruz here looks like a niiiiiice upgrade. These two make a cute couple, don’t they? Let’s see if anything significant develops between these two.

Always Innocent Lindsay Lohan Believes She Is A Victim, An Easy Target

Posted: 06 Feb 2011 10:59 AM PST

The always innocent Lindsay Lohan is reportedly complaining to friends that she constantly feels victimized as a big target for others to try and take advantage of her celebrity. As you may recall, we learned yesterday that L. Lo is being charged with Felony Grand Theft for allegedly stealing a $2,500. necklace and will face up to 3 years in State prison if convicted. Lindsay was informed of this news on Friday night, right before she went out and partied at the Giuseppe Zanotti Design Beverly Hills store opening dinner that same night. Her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, vows to fight the charges … but Lindsay is worried, y’all … as she should be.

Lindsay Lohan’s lawyer swears LiLo is innocent — and is ready to do battle in court if it comes to that. TMZ obtained a statement from Shawn Chapman Holley that reads, “We vehemently deny these allegations and, if charges are filed, we will fight them in court, not in the press.” As we first reported, Lindsay will be charged with felony grand theft as early as Monday for allegedly stealing a $2,500 necklace from a Venice, CA jewelry store. She faces a maximum of three years in prison if convicted.

As for poor Lindsay, well, nothing is ever her fault … and the only reason she ever gets into trouble is because others can target her as an easy victim … at least, that is reportedly what she is lamenting to friends:

Lindsay Lohan believes the felony grand theft charge she will face is yet another example of how she has simply become an easy target for people looking to hurt her. Sources connected with Lindsay tell TMZ … LiLo thinks, “People just don’t believe me and know I’m in a vulnerable position.” She thinks the jewelry store owner is seizing the moment by concocting a story that Lindsay stole the jewelry. Lindsay insists it was loaned to her. And we’re told … Lindsay is “extremely nervous” about the prospect of going back to jail. Although she refers to the possible penalty as jail, it’s actually a lot worse … State prison. Lindsay is telling people, “Nothing is worth going back.”

It’s hard not to feel bad for this poor lost soul … but it’s also easy to see that she easily continues to put herself in situations that she thinks she can worm her way out of by just pouting her lips and blaming others. Whether or not she is guilty of committing felony grand theft will be up for the court to decide (that is, if she doesn’t manage to have her lawyers weasel her way out of trouble) but it is increasingly impossible not to lay blame on Lindsay for her own actions. Who knows, maybe she really didn’t steal this necklace … but how many times can she get into this kind of crazy trouble before people stop caring and stop listening to her excuses. Lindsay is the girl who cried wolf … and, eventually, she will have to pay for everything.

Shia LaBeouf Handcuffed After A ‘Fan’ Hurls A Homophobic Slur At Him

Posted: 06 Feb 2011 10:14 AM PST

Late yesterday word got out that Shia LaBeouf was taken into police custody after he allegedly got into a barroom brawl late Friday night. Today we learn what went down with Shia late Friday night/early Saturday morning from the grade-A a-hole who was involved in the fracas. This p.o.s. person very proudly tells RadarOnline that Shia was taken into custody after he harassed and verbally assaulted LaBeof with a homophobic slur.

Shia LeBeouf was detained by cops and put into a police squad car for questioning in L.A. Saturday morning, and only RadarOnline.com has the exclusive video. And only RadarOnline.com has the exclusive details of what really happened from the man on the other side of the fight, Mark Mastro. Mastro tells us he was a fan of the Transformers actor and when he saw him inside Mad Bull’s Tavern, wanted to meet him. “My girlfriend saw Shia, and told me. I wanted to get a picture with him so I went over to his table, sat down next to him, and told him I was a fan of his. I called him Mr. LeBeouf. “He didn’t want anything to do with me,” says the college student. ” He said he just wanted to chill and refused to do a photos. I walked away.” Some time later, Mastro and a friend were out on the tavern’s front patio — basically just a fenced off area off the sidewalk — and Shia walked out. “My friend said, ‘what’s up Shia’?” Mastro says. “Shia told him to ‘get the f**k out of my way.’ He was slurring his words. “That’s when I said to my buddy, ‘don’t worry, he’s just a fuccking faggot anyway’,” Mastro says. “He turned around, cursed me out, and I started laughing.” Mastro explains that the actor then jumped in his black truck which was parked directly in front of Mad Bull’s. “All of a sudden, he jumped out, and ran back towards the bar. He charged at me! I jumped over the patio fence onto the sidewalk to get away from him. But he kept coming after me. “He was getting in my face. He was talking sh*t. He was chest-bumping me.” That’s when the bouncer jumped in, Mastro says. “A bouncer put Shia in a head lock. A cop just happened to be driving by and saw the commotion. He pulled up the bouncer literally handed LeBeouf over to him. “Apparently the cop called for for back-up because there were at least seven other squad cars there in minutes.” Mastro saw the cops have LeBeouf put his hands up and behind his head. “That’s how they led him to the squad car.” Mastro was not interviewed by the police and left the bar with his friends a few minutes later.

Without question, Shia was wrong to get physical with this asshole … but it’s pretty deplorable that this jerk would be so proud of the fact that he called Shia a “fucking faggot” and then ran away and jumped over a fence to find safety. The big man with the big mouth sounds like a complete loser. What is really unfortunate about all of this is how easy it is for people to be proud of this kind of behavior. I am never supportive of Shia LaBeof‘s blow-ups like this … but I’m even more disgusted by this Mastro jerk.
