First Look: ‘Pretty Little Liars’ Season 2 Releases A First Promo Trailer

Last Summer I fell in love with the new ABC Family series Pretty Little Liars and altho I didn’t talk about it every week, I watched the entire first season religiously. As you PLL fans may know, the first season ended with a pretty cool cliffhanger … and season 2 is just around the corner. ABC Family has just released the first promo video for the upcoming second season which will premiere this Summer. Check out the clip in full below.


I can’t help it … Pretty Little Liars is SUCH a guilty pleasure. Despite the fact that the show isn’t really all that salacious, I do find that I am constantly sucked into the drama on a weekly basis. The first season was really entertaining … and the second season looks just as good. Altho I’m a bit worried that the novelty of not knowing who A is might get old, I am superexicted for the upcoming second season. Any Liars fans in the hiz? Are you excited for season 2?

Lindsay Lohan & Her Extensions Continue To Do Community Service

Troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan — who will most likely never play Stevie Nicks in any film but may be a new convert of the Church of Scientology — made another visit to the Downtown Women's Center to fulfill some of the 320 hours she has to serve there as part of her probation violation punishment. As you can see, Lindsay and her flowing hair extensions were happy to be of service to teh community.


While I fear this community service sentence may not have the effect on helping her change her life as I would hope, I think it’s a positive sign that Lindsay at least seems committed to the task. Sure, she’s only doing this work because she has been ordered to by the court but … it is possible that she may learn a thing or two and might actually clean up her act. Let’s just keep a positive thought that this community service will not only help the women in need who she is serving but will also help her fix her mess of a life as well.

Watch: Kellan Lutz Gets Half-Nekkid In His New Movie Trailer

Mandy Moore stars in a new romantic comedy titled Love Wedding Marriage and despite the fact that the film also features real-life couple Alyson Hannigan and Alexis Denisof (who I LOVE), there’s another more important reason to see the film. In the movie, Kellan Lutz plays Mandy‘s love interest and wouldn’t you know it … Lutz appears mostly nekkid in the film. In a stroke of advertising genius, Kellan‘s half-nekkid body is also featured in the film’s movie trailer … which you can check out below.


Ok … let’s be real … this movie TOTALLY looks like one of those romcoms that shows up in theaters for a few weeks and then disappears never to be heard or thought of again. To be honest, it barely caught my attending … er, that is until that shirtless Kellan Lutz scene popped up. That being said, I kinda love the idea of Alyson and Alexis playing a feuding couple so … Love Wedding Marriage has actually become a must see movie for me. I’m counting on the chance that there will be more than just one shirtless Kellan Lutz scene so … yeah, I’ll take the chance and check this movie out. Will you?

First Look: A New Promo Photo From ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’ Shows Bella Swans Wedding Bling

In early April we got our first look at Bella Swan‘s wedding dress from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 and today we get to check out the FAT ring that Edward Cullen gives his new bride Bella in the film. If I remember correctly, the ring was given a pretty detailed description in the book … but now we get to see it in the film. Check out the promo photo below.

Just in the past week alone, there have been a host of new images from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn released thanks to Entertainment Weekly … But that couldn’t possibly be all because with summer approaching the November release date drawing ever closer; media material is going to come out in droves … Twi-hards will surely rejoice at this one as they just love seeing the happy couple together on screen. Believe me, this is another legal image and not one leaked so Summit Entertainment can be happy knowing that the leaks are seemingly contained for the time.

I know it’s kinda hard to get a good look at the ring in this photo but you can deffo tell that it’s got loads of diamonds. Because vampires always managed to have unlimited access to wealth, they can afford to splurge on nice jewelry … much to their human lovers’ benefit. I expect replicas of this ring will be made available for sale and I have no doubt that some Twilight fan bride will inside on having her wedding ring modeled on this one. HMMM.

Madonna Is Reportedly Recording Music With Her Daughter Lourdes Maria

Back in February we learned that Madonna was in the very early stages of planning her next album (woot!) and today we are hearing that she is reportedly planning to record a song (possibly for her next album) with her daughter Lourdes Maria. Apparently, Maddy has plans to turn Lola into a huge superstar … to take up the mantle of her superstardom, as it were. Read on to find out the deets of this new rumor and see what YOU think about Madonna‘s reported plans to make music with her daughter.

MADONNA is preparing daughter LOURDES to inherit her pop crown when she finally hangs up her conical bras. The singer has collaborated with the teen on a recording and hopes it will set her on the way to a successful career. The track is called It’s So Cool and Madge is in two minds over whether to feature it on her next album or the soundtrack to her new movie about US socialite Wallis Simpson and her relationship with Edward VIII. A source said: “Madonna hopes Lourdes will step into her shoes and become one of the biggest female artists in the world. She’s the perfect mentor for her daughter and is keen to assist her first steps into the industry. Lourdes has a great voice and plenty of character – like her mum.” The pair first recorded the track together eight years ago but it was reworked in a New York studio in February. The original 2003 song had an acoustic feel but it was turned into a Europop version and released through iTunes to promote Madge’s 2009 Celebration compilation. But Lourdes’ voice was not on that version and their recording has never been released. Record companies and film bosses are already interested in signing the teen. Warner Brothers were sniffing around hoping to persuade her to take on a part in the Harry Potter films a few years back. Madge blocked the move to make her daughter concentrate on her education, which is typical of her strict upbringing. There was one point in her life when she wasn’t even allowed to watch the televison. There’s bound to be a heavy expectation placed on Lourdes’ young shoulders. Her mum has set some lofty standards and it must be a daunting prospect following in her footsteps. But Madge’s recent work hasn’t exactly set the world alight so it could be the perfect time for Lourdes to start making a name for herself. It will be interesting to see if Em allows her daughter to dress up in the type of stage clobber she’s worn down the years. If she does, it might be best to wait until she turns 18.

HMMM … I dunno. This doesn’t at all sound like the strict mom Madonna that we’ve been hearing about for the past decade or so. That being said, it is telling that Maddy is letting Lola work with her on the Material Girl clothing line and Madonna DID put Lourdes in her music video for Celebration. It’s not entirely out of the realm of possibility that Madonna would record music with her daughter … but I don’t know that I believe Madge is grooming her for pop superstardom. Lourdes is still so young, there is plenty of time for her to figure out how she wants to live her life. What do y’all think? An Evening With Prince, Chaka Khan . . . And Whitney Houston

Last night I was able to attend my 4th show of Prince‘s current 21 Night Stand residency here in LA, CA and the night was full of really fun surprises. Soul legend Chaka Khan opened up for Prince which was special in and of itself … but there were other surprise guests in attendance that really made the night fun. During Chaka‘s opening set, Whitney Houston got pulled up on stage to sing for a little bit. During Prince‘s set, Whitney came on stage again, as did comedian Cedric the Entertainer. All in all, it was a really fun night of music with Prince and the New Power Generation.


This show started our real smooth, real funky … but shortly after it began, it got kicked into party mode. It’s always so hard to compare Prince concerts because they are always all so different. I did get to hear a few new songs and naturally, the surprise guests were a nice treat. Here is the setlist of songs from last night’s concert.

Guitar is one of my fave of the newer Prince songs so I was very happy to hear it performed live. Sometimes it Snows in April and Little Red Corvette were great gems of the set. As I mentioned, Whitney Houston ended up being a special guest … but only on accident. She wasn’t meant to perform, she just got pulled up on stage to do a little singing but mostly to take her bows. Here are 2 video clips of Whitney on stage. To be honest, I thought she sounded better in person but her voice does sound kinda wrecked in the videos below:



The show was really fun … I can’t wait to see the show tonight and tomorrow. Yes, I’ll be attending my 5th and 6th shows this weekend. I understand Esperanza Spalding, the Best New Artist this year at the Grammy Awards, will open for Prince tonight and tomorrow so I’m very excited.

Last weekend, Kate Middleton married Prince William of Wales and immediately became a member of the British Royal Family as the Duchess of Cambridge. This week, the Duchess ventured out in Anglesey to do a bit of grocery shopping. That’s right, grocery shopping … with a run of the mill shopping cart and everything. While most other people would prolly be spending their first week as a new member of royalty doing pretty much anything else more substantive, it would seem that Kate is NOT letting her new status in life change her everyday lifestyle.

A week ago she was walking up the aisle in front of a global audience of billions. Now, a dressed-down Duchess of Cambridge is strolling down aisles of a more mundane kind as she does the weekly shop like any other housewife. In a loose-fitting green poncho and white V-neck sweatshirt worn with skinny jeans and ballet pumps, Kate pushed a trolley among dozens of shoppers at Waitrose on the island of Anglesey … Onlookers said she had a spring in her step as she filled several carrier bags and loaded them into the boot of her Audi A3. Kate smiled at locals as well as the photographer as she 'skipped' across the car park to return her empty trolley before driving back to the remote farmhouse that she shares with her new husband. For anyone who has remained oblivious to months of build-up to their wedding, the only clues to Kate's royal status were three police bodyguards, a back-up car and the jewelery on her wedding finger. Tucked behind her sapphire engagement ring was the plain Welsh gold band that marked her transformation from a commoner into Her Royal Highness on Friday – and will eventually guarantee her a seat on the throne. Around the wrist of her other hand, she appeared to be wearing an elastic hair band, though yesterday afternoon she let her blow-dried locks hang loose. Kate, 29, is likely to have been preparing a special dinner for her new husband, who returned yesterday morning from a busy 24-hour shift as a search and rescue pilot. One onlooker said: 'It looked like she was stocking up on the basics, but she also bought a few special items, so perhaps she was preparing their first romantic meal as a married couple. She loaded all the shopping into her car on her own, then skipped as she ran the trolley back to the park. She looked very happy and was smiling at people. Most people didn't even spot who it was, despite her being probably the most famous person in the world at the moment.' It is the first time Kate has been out and about in public since she and William departed for a weekend break on Saturday, the day after marrying at Westminster Abbey.

I don’t even know what to say about this. Kate is clearly the TRUE people’s princess. I don’t think even Princess Diana went grocery shopping the week after her royal wedding to Prince Charles … to be honest, I doubt she ever stepped foot in a store like this all by herself the whole time she was married to the prince. It’s very evident that Kate wants to keep her life as normal as possible … whether she is a royal or not. It looks like the Duchess of Cambridge likes to keep it real, yo. That is something I can totally respect.

Shania Twain Does ‘Redbook’ Magazine

Newlywed Shania Twain, who will feature in her own reality TV show titled Why Not? for the OWN network, is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Redbook magazine. As you may recall, Shania opened up about her personal life on The Oprah Winfrey Show earlier this week but she saved some of that personal info for this new interview with Redbook. Three years ago, Shania Twain’s marriage and one of her best friendships ended in a single scandalous blow when she learned that her husband of 14 years, music producer Robert “Mutt” Lange, was having an affair with her close friend Marie-Anne Thiébaud. Now Shania’s got a new book (her autobiography, From This Moment On), a new TV show (Why Not? With Shania Twain for the OWN network), and a new love in her life (she’s married to her friend’s ex-husband, businessman Frédéric Thiébaud). No wonder she’s glowing!

On being a private person, and whether or not she will let her 9-year-old son, Eja, read her memoir: “I wanted to be honest. But now I feel like there needs to be a warning sign on the book that nobody under 16 should read it. My life is just loaded with extremes, and I think what I’ll do with Eja is slowly, over time, start explaining my life to him and preparing him. I’ll just judge it as the time comes. I’ve led such a private life that even he doesn’t know what I’m about — my own child. The first time he ever saw me cry was when I found out about the affair. I’m not a crier, but I thought, Gee, that’s not right. That was a wake-up call.”

On betrayal: “Being betrayed is one of the most valuable lessons life can teach. Now that you are wise to the game, you have the tools to choose your friends more carefully and protect your inner circle from these predators. Wear your scars like a badge. Someone hurt you, you lived through it, and now you can talk about it without rage and revenge in your heart.”


I am SO happy that Shania is back from her self-imposed exile from showbusiness and I can appreciate her willingness and need to share the difficulties of her personal life in any way she can (ie. her new book, her new TV show and these new interviews) but I am really, REALLY looking forward to her return to music more than anything else. I’m hoping that this reemergence is a precursor to her return to music. Altho all of her musical success was had with her ex-husband/producer Robert Mutt Lange, I think Shania can make a huge musical comeback without him. It’s very nice to see Shania looking happy again … so I hope she is really enjoying her life right now. BUT … we need new music, y’all. Hopefully she won’t keep us waiting for too long.

Robert Pattinson, Reese Witherspoon & An Elephant Promote ‘Water For Elephants’ In Australia

Water for Elephants, which stars Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson, opened here in the US a few weeks ago but it has yet to open in other parts of the world. Since the film hit theaters here in the US, R. Pattz and Reese have been promoting the film’s release in Europe and this week made their way down under to Australia to promote the film’s release there. Rob and Reese were joined by an actual elephant in Sydney Harbor yesterday for an official launch event … proving that you can lead an elephant to water AND you can make it promote your movie.


I’m not sure how I feel about trotting out an elephant to a press event just to promote the release of a movie but I would assume that the animal was treated very well and its comfort was assured. I am usually bothered by the use of live animals for promotion events but considering how important it is for Rob and Reese to ensure the safety of animals they work with, I hope this particular elephant was treated well. While I don’t think an actual elephant is necessary to promote the release of a movie, I suppose you gotta hand it to the PR folks in Oz for going the extra mile to make sure this promo event for Water for Elephants was a HUGE success.

Watch: Nicki Minaj Releases A Music Video For ‘Super Bass’

Rap star Nicki Minaj, who will be touring with Britney Spears this Summer on The Femme Fatale Tour, has just released a new music video for her song Super Bass for our viewing pleasure today. Unlike some of her other videos, this one is fairly straightforward and simple. The song is kind of a rap ballad of sorts and in the video Nicki sings about the man who makes her heart go “boom, badoom, boom, boom, badoom, boom”. Check out the video below.


Hands down, Nicki Minaj is one of my fave newer artists and I am totally digging her fun album Pink Friday. I am really, REALLY looking forward to seeing her perform live when she tours with Britney this Summer … it’s gonna be a hot show. Here is her newest video … check out Super Bass:

Spice Girl Emma Bunton Gives Birth To Her Second Baby Spice

Emma Bunton, who is more famously known around the world as Baby Spice of the pop group Spice Girls, is celebrating the birth of her second child today! After becoming a mom 3 years ago to Beau, she and babydaddy fiancée Jade Jones have announced that they are the proud parents of another baby boy! The couple have named their second son Tate and announced his birth on Emma‘s official Twitter profile earlier today.

Emma Bunton gave birth to her second child, son Tate, on Friday, who weighed in at 7 lbs. “Both mother and baby are doing well,” her rep says in a statement, “and the family are over the moon and would like to thank everyone for their kind wishes and support.” Bunton also expressed her joy – via Twitter:

Bunton and her fiancé, British singer-turned-chef Jade Jones, are already parents to 3-year-old son Beau. And 2011 is turning out to be quite the family-focused year for the 35-year-old pop singer – as longtime boyfriend Jones also popped the question in January.

Aww … and the Spice Girls continue to mature and grow into Spice Mothers. As you should be well aware by now, fellow Spice Girls members Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice) is also pregs (with her 4th child) and so is Melanie Brown (Scary Spice … with her 3rd child). Lots of Spice babies coming into the world … but today is all about Tate Bunton-Jones. Let’s send all of our love and congrats to the happy family!

Is Lindsay Lohan Becoming A Scientologist?

Last month Lindsay Lohan crashed a press conference in NYC for the upcoming biopic Gotti: Three Generations, which will star John Travolta in the lead role of John Gotti, Jr., in an effort to convince producers to cast her as Victoria Gotti in the film. Unfortch for Lindsay, she did not get the Victoria Gotti role but she did manage to secure a smaller part in the film. There is a new report out this week that claims that Travolta has reached out to Lindsay in an effort to get her to clean up her life (and career) by joining the Church of Scientology. If true, L. Lo could become the newest Scientologist in Hollywood.

Lindsay Lohan is reportedly being introduced to Scientology by John Travolta. The two have both been signed up to work on new mobster movie, Gotti: Three Generations, and the actor has reportedly suggested that Lilo give the controversial religion a shot in the hope it may help get her career back on track. Reports claim producers of Gotti were initially hesitant in hiring Lindsay because of her troubled past. However, 57-year-old John assured them he had taken her under his wing and felt confident he could keep her on the straight and narrow. Lilo, who is due to begin court-ordered community service next week following her necklace theft charge, has apparently promised Grease star John she will attend a Church of Scientology induction course. Meanwhile, John’s wife Kelly Preston has just signed on to star opposite her husband in Gotti. He will play John Gotti Sr with Kelly playing his wife, Victoria Gotti. Their 11-year-old daughter, Ella Bleu, has also been cast in the movie as the Gottis’ daughter, Angel.

HMMM … I’m always suspicious of these sorts of stories but there are man things about this report that sound like they could ring true. We all know that John Travolta is one of Scientology’s biggest cheerleaders (second only to Tom Cruise) so it makes sense that he would reach out to Lindsay and offer the Church’s support. Lindsay‘s life has been a complete shambles in recent years and it’s very clear that she needs some kind of stability to help her get her life in order. Rehab doesn’t seem to work, maybe religion will? Scientologists tend to find a lot of support in Hollywood, maybe this will be the best thing to happen to L. Lo‘s film career? At this point, this report is merely speculation … but, to be honest, I would not be surprised in the least if this turns out to be true and Lindsay does convert to Scientology. What do y’all think about this? Does this sound like a good idea for poor troubled Lindsay Lohan?

Watch: Jennifer Lopez & Pitbull Perform ‘On The Floor’ On ‘American Idol’

New American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez, who just released her new album Love? this past Tuesday, got the party started on the competitive reality TV show American Idol last night with a surprisingly vigorous performance of her single On the Floor. J. Lo was joined by rapper Pitbull (who guests on the track) for last night’s performance and she truly exhibited a return to form on the stage. In recent years, Lopez‘s performance style has been very lackluster (you may recall J. Lo fell on her ass during a sad performance at the 2009 American Music Awards) but with her new album (buoyed by her new job on Idol), it looks like Jenny from the Block is back as a serious pop star. Jennifer Lopez smashed two dancers out of glass cases, performed on a platform as it rose from the stage and dropped to the floor in a complex choreographed dance routine while performing her RedOne-produced single “On the Floor.” She was joined by Miami rapper Pitbull, who first emerged from the crowd and later appeared onstage and via the mobile staircase at the back of the “Idol” set … Wearing a glimmering ensemble that included a revealing top and what looked like modified Hammer pants (they were tight on the legs and baggy in the middle), J.Lo worked the stage while lasers shot around the studio and bursts of pyro erupted around her. The performance was timed to coincide with her new album Love?, which hit stores this week and as of Thursday night was #6 on the iTunes albums chart. Earlier this week, Lopez teased the performance to MTV News. “You can expect some fun; I don’t want to give away too much. But you know we’re gonna go out there, we’re gonna do our thing,” she told us on Tuesday. “It’s going to be a lot of fun. I don’t even want to tell you what song we’re doing, I just want you to watch.” Although every effort was made to present the performance as if it were live — following the song, Lopez was absent from the judges’ table, and host Ryan Seacrest explained she was backstage changing her clothes — some sloppy editing (namely a safety bar on the riser that continuously appeared and disappeared throughout the performance) made it apparent the routine was taped in advance of the episode.

Pre-taped or not, the performance was hot! Last night’s performance by Jennifer Lopez really reminded me of her glory days when she ruled the popcharts with her first 3 albums. These days, there is a whole new crop of female performers that are really working it out in order to define the landscape of pop music right now … but last night, J. Lo officially threw her hat into the ring to remind everyone that she not only still has it but she’s going to use it as well. It remains to be seen if Jennifer Lopez is going to continue to giving us performances like this and make a serious go of her pop music career again but I really enjoyed watching this performance last night. I miss the old J. Lo, it was nice to see her back in action if only for one night. So … what did y’all think of J. Lo‘s performance? Did she kill it? Did you enjoy seeing her back in action again?
