Glitch In The System? Was Pia Really Voted Off American Idol Last Night? Posted: 08 Apr 2011 12:27 PM PDT Those of you who have vowed to never watch American Idol again after last night's elimination, listen up. Supposedly, the whole thing could have been avoided. If you haven't been watching AI this season, you're unfazed by the fact that Pia Toscano was eliminated last night, when many people had her pegged to win the whole thing. The fans were shocked. The judges were floored. Ryan Seacrest almost cried! Okay, that didn't happen, but it was a pretty emotional evening, one that could have possibly been avoid. Sources are reporting that there might have been a glitch in the online voting system that actually cost Pia votes. Viewers have complained that when trying to vote for the singer via the show's website, their votes wouldn't register. One couple admits to having to reload the page five times before being able to process a vote. And honestly, who is that invested in the show that they'd stick around that long to get a vote in. So, could Pia have been saved? Possibly…but then again, remember, America voted off Jennifer Hudson and Chris Daughtry. It happens! [Image via WENN.]

Would Madonna Accept A Role In Sunset Boulevard? Posted: 08 Apr 2011 12:20 PM PDT Hold up! Since when are you thinking about making Sunset Boulevard into a new movie-musical, Andrew Lloyd Webber! That's the most FABOOSH news we've heard all day! Apparently, Andrew has been trying to get the project up and running, but his first step is to find the best Norma Desmond for the film version. He's top pick? MADONNA! Can you just IMAGINE?! If we close our eyes and dream real hard, we can actually hear her sing a few bars of As If We Never Said Goodbye!!! However, there is a small problem - Madge isn't taking his calls!!! According to reports, Andrew has tried and tried, but Madonna supposedly isn't interested! But, but, but…WHY?! Oh please! Just hear the man out! Just think - the last time you did a musical, you won a Golden Globe! Maybe that award deserves a friend!!!! Think about it! Hugh Jackman Offered Snow White! Posted: 08 Apr 2011 12:10 PM PDT Sounds like a great fit to us! The always charming and super seksi Hugh Jackman has been offered the role of the Huntsman in Snow White and the Hunstman! We're willing to bet that with the news of possible delays on Wolverine 2, due to Aronofsky bouncin' from it like a boss and possible tsunami relief difficulties from it being shot in Japan, that producers think they can lure the mutant to grace their flick first! Nobody is really sure as to whether or not he'll be taking to role, vacated by Viggo Mortensen, but if he has the time we say go for it! He'd look just so dashing as the Hunstman! Speaking of Wolverine 2, we hope they find an amazing director soon, because we can't wait for that either! Hugh, give us a call and let us know what's up with the role! You gonna take it?? Creator Of Skins Quits! What Will Happen To The Series? Posted: 08 Apr 2011 11:50 AM PDT Aw man! It will be a shame to see him go! The future of the smash UK series Skins has gone into jeapordy now that it's been announced that series creator Jamie Brittain has called it quits, with a spokesman for the network Channel 4 revealing: "Jamie has decided after five hit series to move on to write new projects and we wish him well. Skins is written by a team of young writers who are hard at work on the new series which is currently in pre-production." And Brittain himself elaborates: "I've just said everything I wanted to say. It's time for new writers to come forward and portray their truth about teenagers. I'm really sad to leave, but I'm confident that the writing and production team I've left behind will do an awesome job." With him gone, as well as his co-cretor Bryan Elsley having left to work on the American remake, current assistant producer Toby Welch and script producer Neil Ducan have taken over running the next season, but if ratings don't improve, that could be the last! We certainly hope not! Here's hoping that the new writers can breathe some fresh air into the series, and it will leave to see another generation of disillusioned teens! What do U think?? Has Skins passed its prime?

Another Hansel & Gretel Movie…Starring Shannen Doherty Posted: 08 Apr 2011 11:20 AM PDT Last we heard about Hansel & Gretel, the fairy tale characters were being reimagined for Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, with X-Men's Famke Janssen playing "the leader of the witches." Now, ANOTHER Hansel & Gretel adaptation, Gretl, is in the works, but this time at SyFy with Shannen Doherty set to star in the title role. Here's the synopsis for the project: "As an adult, a witch hunter (Hansel) returns to the village where he lived as a child to find and kill the witch who killed his sister, Gretl (Doherty), only to find that Gretl is not dead and danger lurks around every corner." This instant classic doesn't air until November, but in the meanwhile, we've got Piranhaconda to tide us over! LOLs! Will U tune in to see Shannen Doherty in Gretl? New Blink182 Is STILL On Its Way! Posted: 08 Apr 2011 11:10 AM PDT It's coming, guys! Just be patient! We announced a few months ago that Blink182 was planning on reuniting this summer, to not only go on tour, but to release a brand new album of material, and now lead singer Mark Hoppus wants you to know that this is still the plan, but because of drummer Travis Barker's solo gig taking up some time, the new material may not come together in the timeline they originally anticipated! He explains: "We are still planning for an early-to-midsummer release, we're working very hard at it. Right now Travis is back on the road, so I'm back in L.A. working on the record, [guitarist Tom DeLonge's] working on the record, we're sending stuff to Travis; as soon as [he] gets back, hopefully Tom and I will have the album in a shape where Travis can come in and we can spend, you know, a month, month-and-a-half working really hard on pounding out the album and get it done. It's definitely a very different process … before, at least we were all in the same room at the same time. With this, with Travis having his solo record, me being in L.A., and Tom doing his stuff and also being in San Diego, at first it felt like maybe it was a bit piecemeal, but now it feels like we're getting into a good rhythm. Between sending songs back and forth to each other, we'll all meet up in the studio every few weeks and go over everything, listen down to everything and I'll say, 'OK, I love what you did with this idea. Let me take this song for a week and try some ideas on it.' And I'll take a song for a week, try a bunch of stuff on it, present it back to everybody else, they'll make their comments and then move on from there. There's songs that I think are finished that we go back and work on some more, there's songs that I think are going to take a long time and they end up progressing pretty quickly. I feel like we've worked on about 16 tracks, of which 12 of those are making the cut. When songs don't seem to be working, we let them fall by the wayside, and I think we're pretty good about putting the better songs forward. So, we're working on 12, five or six of those are in states that are near completion, and the other ones are formed ideas with structures and parts — they just need filling in. The skeletons are all there, we just need to fill in the pieces." Hey! Life gets in the way, and we can be patient! We just want to make sure that this actually happens! We have heard some new Blink in quite some time, and we're looking forward to hearing how your sound has evolved! Take your time, guys, and we can't imagine that you'll disappoint! What do U think??
