Video: Watch Jennifer Lopez Get Super Indignant And Outraged At A Reality Show Outcome

Last night on the American Idol results show, Gleeified singer Pia Toscano was booted. It was a pretty shocking result as Pia was one of the favorites to win the whole thing, but watching judges Jennifer Lopez, Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler get outright indignant and disappointed in the citizens of America is hilarious. We’ve been blamed for our lack of passion! Oh well, maybe if the government shuts down next week Pia Toscano can take over?

Poll: Would You Watch Bethenny Frankel's Talk Show?

Posted: 08 Apr 2011 09:50 AM PDT

We saw this coming a mile away. Bethenny Frankel has previously said that she used Real Housewives of New York City to launch her career. She told Hollywood Life that she had a career plan when she decided to do Real Housewives of New York City, saying, “I separated in a sense that Season One — everybody was being frivolous… I was just trying to build a career and I was already working on all the projects.” She has also said that she plans to do a few more seasons of Bethenny Ever After, but won’t be doing reality TV for the rest of her life. Bethenny told PopEater, “I would like a daytime talk show because my conversation with my fans right now is through social networking, and my TV show communicates what I’m doing, but it isn’t really a dialogue or a conversation.”

According to Rumor Fix, Bethenny is now, in fact, getting her own daytime talk show. Various report have picked up this story, but Bethenny has neither confirmed nor denied rumors. Whether or not she is getting one now, I am positive she will get her own talk show sooner or later. Would I watch it? Duh. I would watch Bethenny do anything. She has natural charisma, and  has won over fans with her brutally honest personality and witty wisecracks. A mix of talk about dieting, healthy living, her personal life, and her career seems like it would be the perfect talk show for fans to really get to interact with her. A talk show seems like the next natural step for her. What do you think?

Video Gallery: 'Trust' and How Hollywood Thinks We Interact on the Internet

Posted: 08 Apr 2011 09:35 AM PDT

David Schwimmer‘s second directorial feature Trust is a riveting cautionary tale about what happens when an innocuous Internet friendship translates to real emotional danger in real life. It’s also probably the best portrayal of the Internet and social media that has come from film and television. In the almost twenty years since the Internet became mainstream enough that Hollywood incorporated it into storytelling, we’ve seen digital communication portrayed as deadly, oversimplified, schlocky, and cringeworthy. And then a few filmmakers/TV writers completely get it.

Degrassi: The Next Generation

Determined to make its new iteration the most outlandish of the Degrassi franchise by saddling its high schoolers with every possible dramatic situation under the sun, the writers kicked things off with an Internet predator. In “Mother and Child Reunion,” 14-year-old Emma has a special online friend named Jordan, who claims to be her age and who wants to meet her. The whole episode is so cheesy (partly because it aired in 2001): from Emma sending her e-mail and saying, “Sometimes you just have to say, go for it” to her best friend Manny finding Emma’s mom at the school dance to tell her what had happened after Emma goes to meet Jordan. Oh, and the fact that the predator — actually a grown man — pretends to be Jordan’s teacher and invites Emma upstairs to his hotel room.

Bless TeenNick, they’ve uploaded all of the old Degrassi episodes to their site; you can check out Part 2 here.

The Social Network

By the end of David Fincher and Aaron Sorkin‘s film, we’ve witnessed Mark Zuckerberg‘s rise and learned of the truly despicable decisions he made to stay on the top. Yet even he is subject to the whims of his creation, Facebook. Slumped in his seat constantly refreshing the page til Erica Albright accepts his friend request? Genius.

Crushable Quotable: Jeremy Irons Thinks We Should Ban Boring People, Not Smoking

Posted: 08 Apr 2011 09:32 AM PDT

Jeremy Irons thinks smoking bans are bullshit. The actor, who is starring in the new Showtime series The Borgias, ranted to Parade magazine about how he thinks public smoking bans are tantamount to bullying.

I think they're appalling. It's what I call bullying a minority. Because if you say, 'I really think I should have the right to smoke in the street or in the park or at the beach,' people will say, 'You shouldn’t be smoking at all. It's bad for you.' Well, I think we can choose what's bad for us. I mean, there are many other things in life that are bad for us. Being surrounded by boring people is very bad for us—it attacks the heart.

Speaking of this topic, can we discuss how young Jeremy Irons (pictured) was smokin’? I mean, that’s a pun, but it’s a sexy pun.

Video: Watch Lady Hero Kelly Oxford On 'Last Call With Carson Daly'

Posted: 08 Apr 2011 09:13 AM PDT

Untitled from kelly oxford on Vimeo.

If you aren’t up on the story of Kelly Oxford, Patron Saint of Twitter, here’s a rundown: Kelly’s a Canadian blogger and mother of three who’s become super Internet famous for her pitch-perfect, utterly hilarious tweets. She’s currently developing a sitcom for CBS with Jessica Alba and writing a memoir (lady also happens to be an ex-model. Genetic lottery, eh*?). In her interview with Carson Daly, Kelly talks motherhood and blogging while tossing off some pretty great little insights.

Bonus: Kelly’s impossibly adorable seven-year-old son Henry tweets as well, and he might be even funnier than his mom.

*Canada joke
