Um … I get that this is meant to be a joke but … yeah, I can absolutely believe it’s kinda this miserable carpooling with any of the stars of Glee. Can you imagine what it must be like to drive in Lea Michele‘s car? OY!

Watch: ‘True Blood’ Releases A Season 4 Preview Video Featuring Pam De Beaufort

In January we learned that witches will be introduced in the upcoming 4th season of True Blood on HBO this Summer and today we get to see a Waiting Sucks promo video that gives us our first look at one of those witches. In this clip, Pam de Beaufort (the saucy red headed vampire sired by Eric Northman) goes head to head with a witch … and it would seem she is actually outmatched. Check out the clip below.


I think I was expecting sexy, Charmed-like witches when I learned that the characters would be introduced on the show … clearly, I was wrong. Check out the clip and see what I mean:


OOOOH. It looks like this witch, Marni, did something to Eric … and Pam wants her to undo it. Clearly the witches in Bon Temps have got some serious powers. This is the best tease thus far. I can’t wait to see more.

Angelina Jolie Makes Her Way To Tunisia

Angelina Jolie, in her role as United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, has made her way to Tunisia (which borders Libya) to lend support for the refugees fleeing Libya who are seeking comfort and aid. Because of the serious nature of the situation there, she was accompanied by heavy guard … but, undaunted, Santa Angelina made sure to make her presence known in order to offer whatever aid she can on behalf of the United Nations.

Actress and goodwill ambassador Angelina Jolie appealed on Tuesday for international support for people fleeing the conflict in Libya and for increased aid for those inside the country. Jolie, a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations’ refugee agency UNHCR who visited the Libyan-Tunisian border, said recent arrivals from Libya had told her about heavy fighting, harassment and assaults. More than 400,000 people have fled Libya to Tunisia, Egypt, Niger, Algeria, Chad and Sudan since February when rebels rose up against Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi. More than half have arrived in Tunisia. “The international community has done well to reinforce Tunisia’s remarkable relief effort,” Jolie said in a UNHCR statement. “But with 2,000 people still crossing each day, we cannot let the funding dry up and need to sustain the momentum.” She also appealed for measures that would allow the U.N. and non-governmental organizations to access Libya and distribute urgent assistance, including food and medical supplies. At the end of February, transit facilities were erected 7 km (4 miles) inside Tunisia to provide temporary shelter for those arriving from Libya and UNHCR and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) organized humanitarian air evacuations. More than 70,000 people have returned home with the help of UNHCR and IOM but more continue to arrive. Some 11,000 third country nationals are still in transit. UNHCR said Jolie’s family Jolie-Pitt foundation had covered the costs for a flight of 177 people and bought an ambulance to help support Tunisian efforts to assist the wounded. There are some 2,500 people who are originally from war-torn countries and are unable to return home, UNHCR said. “They’re waiting here with little hope, unable to return home and unsure of what’s to come. This constant cycle of displacement must finally come to an end,” Jolie said.

The plight of the refugee is one that is all too easily overlooked in times like these. It’s really amazing that Angelina continues to work so tirelessly for those who have no advocate. I cannot imagine what it must be like to endure the horrors of war but I would like to think there would be someone out there who cared enough to offer aid and assistance to me under these sorts of conditions. Angelina is an amazing woman and a wonderful ambassador for the United Nations.

Kirstie Alley Shows Off Her New Tattoo

Earlier today we got to see video from last night’s episode of Dancing with the Stars that showed Kirstie Alley and her professional dance partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy suffering a unfortunate fall during their routine. Undaunted by the fall, Kirstie made a beeline to a local tattoo parlor later last night to get her first tattoo. Clearly, Kirstie was not going to let a little thing like a fall on national television break her … and she got the tattoo to prove it.


I know it’s not very clear from the photo but Kirstie got the word Unbroken tattooed on her wrist. Kirstie‘s DWTS co-star Cheryl Burke went with her to the Wilcox Tattoo parlor for moral support. I’m not sure if she was planning on getting this tattoo all along or if her tumble last night inspired her new ink but … good for her! Let’s hope her unbroken spirit is able to keep her in the DWTS competition to make it to the finals.

Watch: Keanu Reeves Dishes New Deets On ‘Bill & Ted 3′

In September of last year we learned from Keanu Reeves himself that plans were in the works for a new sequel film from the 90′s classic film Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure. In October, Keanu was spotted with his Bill & Ted‘s co-star Alex Winter sparking excitement in fans (like me) that the sequel might actually happen. Today we get an update from Keanu on the status of the film … and apparently, we are just 6 weeks away from the completion of the script! Bill & Ted’s 3 is really happening, y’all!

“I believe the writers are six weeks away from a draft,” he told MTV News Monday, adding with a laugh, “No pressure, guys!” Reeves, who was vague when asked about the project last year, said he now knows "a little bit” about the plot. “But I don’t know — the fellas went off and cooked it up. I don’t know what happened when they put the elements together.” The first Bill and Ted flick hit screens in 1989 and centered on two teen slackers who travel through time in a phone booth to ace their high school history project. It was followed in 1991 by a sequel, Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey. Reeves says the third installment's story arc might fit into the overall franchise. “When we last got together, part of it was that Bill and Ted were supposed to have written the song that saved the world, and it hasn’t happened,” he said. “So they’ve now become kind of possessed by trying to do that. Then there’s an element of time and they have to go back.” Last year, Reeves' costar in the movies, Alex Winter, confirmed another movie was in the works. "We kicked around the idea over the years and had always thought if we could make something that was kind of genuine in spirit as the originals and without falling prey to kind of retro cynicism or something that was unnecessary, it would be worth doing,” he told the Associated Press. “Now that the cat’s out of the bag, and the truth is that, yeah, we have finally hit upon an idea that we think is pretty great.” Added Winters, “We don’t want to make a cynical ‘here’s Bill and Ted — you guys are our kids, now YOU guys go be Bill and Ted and the franchise can live for another 25 years! It’s not that. It’s a straight up, what’s the funniest and most surprising take on where Bill and Ted would be right now if we stopped back in on them?”


Yay!! This is so exciting … er, for me. Now I know there are a host of you youngn’s out there who have never even heard of Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure but it’s a film that I hold dear in my heart. Bill & Ted’s was one of the first films that I was able to see in theaters without having an adult present. My friends and I were new drivers and Excellent Adventure is one of the films that we got to see on our own. When I think back to the films of the early 90′s, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure really encapsulates the comedy of that time. I would absolutely be interested in seeing a new, updated sequel … but I wonder how many people who are not fans of the original films would be interested. I am really excited for this film … are you?

Kevin Federline & Victoria Prince Show Off Their Baby Bump

A week ago today we learned that unemployed baby-maker Kevin Federline and his former professional volleyball playing girlfriend Victoria Prince are expecting the birth of their first child together (tho the baby will be K-Fed‘s 5th child overall). Today we not only get to see the couple happily posing with their baby bump but we learn that The Federline and Vicky P. are having a baby girl. So, yeah, pink cigars all around!

“We’re having a girl!” her ex-husband Federline, 33, tells the new Us Weekly, out Wednesday. Federline confirms to Us that his girlfriend of two years, volleyball pro turned special-education teacher Victoria Prince, 28, is five months pregnant with their first child. The baby will be named Jordan. Explains Federline to Us of the name choice: “[Victoria] said that if we were going to have a little girl, she wanted to name her Jordan. And then, we actually thought that it was a boy, but we stuck with the name Jordan because, you know, it fits both ways.” He adds: “We just found out the other day that we’re having a girl. So it worked out!” She’ll be Federline’s fifth: He and Spears share sons Preston, 5, and Jayden, 4, who are “superexcited” about becoming big brothers, Federline tells Us; he and ex-girlfriend Shar Jackson have a daughter Kori, 8, and son Kaleb, 6. As for Spears, 30, who is cordial with Federline for the sake of their sons: “Britney is happy for him. She knows he's a good dad,” says a source.

Whoa there, buddy … moving a little fast, ain’t we? I suppose I can understand how excited K-Fed must be to have another child because, invariably, that means he will get more child support from … someone … but I don’t really get the need to start naming your baby so early. Clearly, Victoria is really excited for her first baby … and I really, really wish I could be happy for her but if it’s one thing I’ve learned from K-Fed‘s previous babymamas … having a child with Kevin Federline isn’t always the best idea. Still, I truly do wish Vicky P. and her baby the best … come what may. I mean … yeah.

Drinks For 2

Yesterday was a nice and very quiet day for David and me. I spent most of my late afternoon/evening reading and David spent his running around taking care of errands. We did leave the house for a bit last night to get a couple drinks and just hang out and ended up at one of our fave spots, The Hudson. Unfortunately, we were hoping for a quiet Monday night out … but we ended up being smack dab in the middle of a raucous crowd watching the NCAA Men’s Basketball Final.


The only seating open in the bar was underneath the big screen TV … so all the screaming bros were pointed at us. Their cheering and jeering was a bit disconcerting but it really didn’t take away from our hang out session. We managed to sneak off and find privacy in the photobooth for a bit, which was a nice way to end our night out. Oh and congrats to The University of Connecticut for their win last night … even if the game was kinda terrible.

No plans for tonight. I’m certain David and I will get out of the house eventually for food or something but as it stands, we don’t have anything on the books. Ah, it’s nice to have nothing to do … let me tell you ;)

Buffyverse alum and current How I Met Your Mother star Alyson Hannigan packed up her beautiful daughter Satyana and fellow Buffyverse alum hubby Alexis Denisof for a fun family trip to the beach this week. Because the weather has been so gloriously beautiful here in SoCal, Aly and fam decided to enjoy some of the warmth with a fun day at the beach. Check out their cute photos below.


Aww … little Sati looks so cute in her beachwear. Altho she doesn’t look all that happy to be hear the ocean, I’m sure she had a blast playing with her mommy, daddy and pet pooch. Satyana seems to grow tons every time we see her … she is becoming such a big girl already! These fun family photos are just too cute. With the amazing weather yet to come, I’m guessing we’ll get to see lots of fun beach photos as Spring turns into Summer here in SoCal :D

Amanda Seyfried & Ryan Phillippe Light Up In Paris

Over the weekend, lovebirds Amanda Seyfried and Ryan Phillippe made their way to Paris, France so that the couple could enjoy a romantic getaway (that is, when Ryan isn’t bizzy promoting his new film The Lincoln Lawyer). Yesterday we saw photos of the couple enjoying a fun, touristy date night in Paris and today we get to see photos of the couple hanging out together near the famed Eiffel Tower. Perhaps in an effort to get into the spirit of the city (or mebbe because they hate their lungs), Amanda and Ryan smoked a couple of cigarettes together near the tower … which, IMHO, doesn’t look very cute.


Blech. I am no fan of smoking so it’s a bit disconcerting to see the happy couple puffin’ away on these cigarettes but … well … at least we know they have much in common. Clearly, the couple are very compatible and the fact that they are both smokers prolly helps chances of their staying together. Hopefully, the couple will choose to quit smoking together so that they can live a very long and very healthy and happy life together ;)

Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart Are Reportedly ‘On A Break’

Rumor has it that Twilight co-stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have decided to end the romantic relationship that they don’t like to talk about very much publicly. According to a new report, the couple have decided to go on “a break” and temporarily end their romance. Because the couple do not like to talk about their private life (at all), I wouldn’t expect any sort of official confirmation but … do you think it’s possible that R. Pattz and K. Stew are really dunzo?

THEY play vampire lovers on screen – but it looks like the sun may have set on their real-life affair. Yep, the odd couple – Robert Pattinson and girlfriend Kristen Stewart – are believed to have split. Or, in showbiz speak, they're "on a break". Right. Apparently all the life's been sucked out of the Twilight stars' relationship, and they've been on the rocks since February at least. At the weekend, K-Stew had been expected to attend the Country Music Awards in Las Vegas with her lover. They both had time off but, as with January's Golden Globe Awards, R-Patz turned up on his own. The pair are currently filming the final installment of the Twilight saga, Breaking Dawn, in Vancouver. But Robert has been away from the set on a busy promotional tour for his flick with Reese Witherspoon, Water for Elephants. Last night a studio source said: "Things have been a bit rocky for a while. They both have hectic work schedules, Rob in particular at the moment, and their phone calls were getting fewer and further between. They started to only see each other on set and began to drift apart until a general apathy developed. The excuses why they couldn't meet up basically got weaker and weaker, and Rob figured they should officially cool things off and have some time to figure out what they each want. There have been a few tears but the pair remain friendly. Kristen is hopeful of a reconciliation once Rob has finished promotion for his latest movie. But as things stand, they're on a break and just mates." Last night, a spokesperson for teen heartthrob actor Robert declined to comment on the split.

HMMM. Considering how long it took for this couple to talk about their relationship, particularly because they hid it so well, I don’t know that I necessarily believe that they are really broken up … or, at least, that they broke up over bizzy schedules. The pair have been separated by work before, I don’t see how that could be the reason for the split this time around. Still … things happen and couples just … fizzle. I honestly never really believed that their relationship would extend beyond the life of The Twilight Saga film franchise. I always thought they’d break up after they finished work on the final movie. What do y’all think … do you think Rob and Kristen are really dunzo or are they just going thru a rough patch right now?

Are E-Book Versions Of The ‘Harry Potter’ Books On The Way?

After selling about 450 million books in the past decade or so, J.K. Rowling is finally entertaining the idea of publishing her series of Harry Potter books in e-book format. Rowling‘s book agent has revealed that they are seriously considering bringing the world of Harry Potter to Amazon Kindles, Apple iPads and other e-book readers soon.

J.K. Rowling could bring Harry Potter back to life (again) in the form of an e-book. Perhaps that Avada Kedavra killing spell is losing its potency. The British author noted for her tales of the boy wizard — and also her doorstop-weighing 800-page books — is thinking about finally making them available on iPads and Kindles. “We are currently actively looking at all the various options for Harry Potter in this space, that is e-books,” Neil Blair, Rowling’s London-based agent at Christopher Little Literary Agency, told the Associated Press in an email. Blair said Rowling had been watching the developing market and waiting for the right moment to release her books in that format. Um, because the author worth $1 billion needed to make more money? About 450 million copies of the Harry Potter books have been sold worldwide. That’s a lot of pages that required costly printing, which would be much, much cheaper if produced in the e-format. It would also be a dream come true for those of us who sometimes pretend our iPad is a real-life version of Harry Potter’s Daily Prophet newspaper.

As much as I love my dogeared physical copies of the Harry Potter books (in both hardback and paperback versions, actually) I know I would jump at the chance to own the books in e-book format. Carrying around my favorite books on my tiny Amazon Kindle 3 is such a luxury … one that affords me the chance to do more reading. I recently started rereading the Harry Potter books but stopped after book 2 because I got tired of lugging around the books. I immediately started reading and fell in LOVE with The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins … because I have all of the books conveniently on my Kindle. I hope this plan to bring Harry Potter to e-books happens soon … I’m anxious to reread all of the books again … which I surely will do if I am able to have them all stored on my Amazon Kindle 3. Doesn’t this sound like a fantastic idea? Would YOU buy the Harry Potter books (again?) in e-book format?

Kylie Minogue Confesses A Love For American Junk Food

On Sunday I revealed that I would be participating in a teleconference interview with the AMAZING Kylie Minogue today and, as expected, I was only able to ask one question … but I did get to listen in on the whole 30-minute convo that Kylie shared with all of us interviewers and learned a bit of exciting news from the goddess herself. The full transcript has not yet been made available but read below some of the tidbits that I am dying to share with all y’all.


I was able to ask Kylie what her favorite thing to do in the US that she cannot do anywhere else in the world … and she immediately revealed that she loves our “greasy diner food” and “bad coffee”. I have to say, our fast food/junk food is unmatched in the rest of the world and I LOVE that Kylie can appreciate and love our delicious offerings ;) I know I, for one, would LOVE to treat her to an amazingly delicious and thoroughly greasy meal at Outback Steakhouse when she comes to the US this month. She also revealed that she loves the anonymity she enjoys when she is here in the states. Here is some other info gleaned from Kylie in today’s interview:

* When asked about a new album, Kylie confessed that she honestly isn’t really thinking about a new album just yet … but she is entertaining new song collaborations with other artists AND is seriously considering an “anti-tour” that would be a stripped down, bare bones concert that would feature diehard fan favorite songs. She mentioned specifically b-sides, unreleased/leaked tracks, cover songs … songs that would NEVER be featured in a major tour production. She revealed that a tour like this would be fairly easy to put together and make a reality … the only difficulty would be in song selection.

* She is currently LOVING Britney Spears‘s new song He About to Lose Me (a bonus track on the deluxe version of her just-released new album Femme Fatale) and ALL of the songs on Adele‘s new album 21.

* She is “very excited” about the notion of doing a residency in Las Vegas. Because she cannot bring her massive stage (complete with waterworks and Splash Zone) to the US, she is very interested in the idea of settling the show in Sin City for a while so US fans can see the massive production up close.

* When asked about her pre-show rituals on tour, Kylie revealed that she likes to do a “shot of Scotch” to calm her nerves.

The interview was only 30 minutes long and everyone on the line did get to ask a question … when the full transcript is made available, I will post it for sharing here on the blog. Sarah Michelle Gellar & Charlotte Grace Return Home To SoCal

Last month we saw photos of mama/actress Sarah Michelle Gellar and her beautiful daughter Charlotte Grace on the NYC set of SMG‘s new TV pilot Ringer but today we get to see new photos of mother and daughter as they made their arrival back home in SoCal yesterday. SMG has been in NYC for the past few weeks working on her new show but now that the filming portion of production is completed (at least, for now), she is back home in LA.


Ringer has not yet been picked up by CBS officially for the Fall season so while we wait to find out if the show is a go, SMG apparently decided to come home for a while to enjoy the beautiful SoCal weather while she can. I’m telling you, SMG and Charlotte Grace have become my fave new twosome lately. I’m really hoping Ringer gets picked up, yes, but it’s nice to have SMG back home here in SoCal, too ;)

Watch: Kirstie Alley & Maksim Chmerkovskiy Suffer An Embarrassing Fall On ‘Dancing With The Stars’

Dancing with the Stars contestants Kirstie Alley and professional dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy didn’t give the best performance on last night’s show. The pair unfortunately suffered a fairly embarrassing fall that didn’t look too painful at first but apparently ended up hurting Maksim very much. Fortunately, the fall wasn’t at all severe for Kirstie who was lifted (partway) and then dropped … seemingly in slow motion. Check out screencaps and video of the fall below.

Kirstie Alley became the first on air-fall victim on Dancing With The Stars last night, when she and her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy came crashing down. Performing a tribute to her late parents, the 60-year-old actress got dropped by Maksim after his thigh gave out to her weight in a muscle spasm. The couple stayed on the floor for about five seconds at the start of the routine before picking themselves up and continuing their dance. ‘My thigh just gave out – I’m so sorry,’ Maksim said after the dance was over. He insisted the fault had nothing to do with Alley: ‘Any dancer knows, it has to do with muscle strain,’ he said. ‘It had nothing to do with her.’ Despite the tumble, Kirstie danced on for the performance which was inspired by the struggle she faced when she was about to get her first big movie role in Star Trek 2, and was told that her mother had been killed by a drunk driver and her dad was in critical condition. The theme for the week was ‘story week’ – where the celebrities each had to chose emotionally-charged songs with a connection to their past. ‘This song depicts the most turning point in my life,’ Kirstie said during rehearsals. ‘The song depicts the hopefulness after the despair.’ To the tune of Somewhere Over The Rainbow, it was clear she had the crowd from the word go who following the performance gave the actress a rousing applause. And despite the fall technicality, all three judges gave her a generous seven points, seemingly touched by her story and the emotion she connected to the dance. ‘Sometimes tragedy leads to amazingly beautiful moments. I think despite the fact you had a mess up at the beginning something magical happened after that and you were so connected to the music. I think you did a wonderful job,’ said Carrie Ann Inaba, struggling to fight back tears. ‘Dancing is a bit like life – it’s about overcoming adversities and you did that,’ exclaimed Len Goodman. And big Kirstie fan, Bruno Tonioli got off his chair and exclaimed: ‘Once you got up it was better than ever!’.


Yeah, it sounds like “Story Week” is what saved Kirstie‘s performance. She and Maksim were scored on her heartfelt tale, notsomuch on their dancing. Still, as far as falls go, this could’ve been a lot worse. I’m just glad that no one was severely injured. It takes a lot of heart to get back up and continue dancing after taking a spill like this. Kirstie may not end up the big winner this season but she deffo has the right stuff to give it her all.
