Ashton Kutcher whines about George W. Bush: “He just was not very nice to me”

These are some newish photos of Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore on their Valentine's holiday in St. Barts this weekend, plus some photos of Ashton solo in London and Paris last week. In the St. Barts pics, they both look kind of homely, in my opinion, but they're on vacation and they're still celebrating their love, so God bless. I think Ashton has been promoting No Strings Attached internationally while Natalie Portman's bitchface stays stateside, which explains why there are so many Ashton-only interviews floating around. Apparently, while Ashton was in London, he did a radio interview with the BBC, and he got questions about his attendance at the SuperBowl, where he sat in the luxury VIP suite right behind President Bush and Laura Bush. You can see video of it here (and I've screen capped it below) - Ashton was spotted in the same video with Cameron Diaz hand-feeding Alex Rodriguez. When Ashton got a question about his proximity to Bush, Ashton whined about how Bush was rude to him:

Punk’d? Ashton Kutcher was spotted sitting right behind former President George W. Bush in a luxury suite at last week’s Super Bowl, but it turns out the two weren’t exactly sharing a bowl of dip and a bucket of hot wings.

Talking to BBC Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills on Thursday, Kutcher said he got a rude reaction from the former President.

“I don’t think he’s very happy with me,” he said. “He just was not very nice to me. He just kind of snubbed me a little bit.”

But why the cold shoulder?

“I think I said some mean things [about Bush] during the election. I feel like he probably doesn’t like me very much.”

In fact, Kutcher campaigned for the Democratic Kerry/Edwards ticket in 2004 in what he called an effort to make up for his vote for Bush in the 2000 election.

“I voted for him because I thought he was like me,” Kutcher told a late October crowd in Iowa. “I thought he was a good old boy like me… [he's] not going to fool me again. I’m here to take responsibility for my mistakes.”

Kutcher and wife Demi Moore endorsed then-candidate Barack Obama for President in 2008, and in 2009 Kutcher helped The White House spread the word about National HIV Testing Day over Twitter. Kutcher and Moore have also involved themselves with former President Bill Clinton’s Global Initiative, battling modern slavery.

Wow, Ashton voted for Bush in 2000? That's surprising. That's the most interesting part of this story. As for whether or not Bush "snubbed" Ashton - while I'm not one to give Bush credit for anything, I think it's more likely than not that Bush simply didn't know who Ashton was. It's not like Dubya is some noted That 70s Show fanatic. It's not like Bush is at all interested in pop culture. Dubya probably just thought Ashton was some random dude. That being said, I love that Ashton thinks he's so important that a former president would know all of these details about his political involvements.

Hot Guy Weekend: Paul Bettany, Pierce Brosnan, James McAvoy & more

I was going to do a post exclusively dedicated to these new photos of Paul Bettany, but it turns out that several hot guys were out and about this weekend, so this has turned into a "Hot Guy Weekend, Candids" post. Enjoy! First up: Paul Bettany at the Berlin Film Festival, promoting a film called Margin Call. I don't know anything about the film, except that Kevin Spacey, Jeremy Irons and Eli Roth also walked the red carpet, so maybe they're in it too. Sure. Okay, I just looked it up… they're all in it, plus Simon Baker and… Demi Moore…? Ugh. Just look at pretty pictures of Paul! I love his hair now.

LeAnn Rimes in white Tony Ward: beautiful or emaciated bridal?

These are new photos of LeAnn Rimes at last night's MusiCares' tribute event for Barbra Streisand. Babs looked like hell, and lots of Glee people were there, but LeAnn was the one who caught me eye, mostly because A) we haven't seen LeAnn in a little while and it looks like she was laying low after even more plastic surgery, beyond the boob job and B) it looked like she was wearing a wedding dress. Eddie Cibrian was around too, but he didn't walk the red carpet with LeAnn - you can see a photo of them together here, at Us Weekly. The dress is Tony Ward Couture. I don't know the name of the surgeon, but I'm sure he doesn't want this work publicized. Am I wrong? Didn't she get something else done to her face? Or is this just makeup and tweezing?

Anyway, LeAnn spoke to Us Weekly at the event. She talked about her wedding plans, of course:

LeAnn Rimes is one step closer to walking down the aisle. Speaking to UsMagazine.com at Friday’s MusiCares Person of the Year Tribute to Barbra Streisand in L.A., the 28-year-old “Swingin’” singer revealed she’s already “found a [dress] designer.”

Though Eddie Cibrian’s bride-to-be kept mum on the gown’s specifics — she wore Vera Wang for her 2002 wedding to backup dancer Dean Sheremet — Rimes assured Us “the planning is going well.”

“I feel like I have a lot going on, but it’s kind of chill. We’re taking it as it comes and planning as it comes,” she said. “It’s an exciting year and a lot to handle, but I’ve got a good man by my side, so he’s helping.”

Cibrian, 37, popped the question in December with a 5-carat oval diamond engagement ring; the two first began dating in 2009 while shooting in the Lifetime movie Northern Lights (both were married at the time).

As Rimes continues to check more items off her wedding to-do list, the singer tells Us she’s looking forward to growing old with the actor.

“I’m looking to settle into our life. It will be really great,” she told Us. “Eddie really is the most supportive, sweetest man.”

Do you believe the wedding plans are "chill"? I don't. I think LeAnn is getting all of this work done so that she will look her absolute best for her wedding day. Where some women go on a diet or change up their hair, becoming a fiancée has turned LeAnn into one of those Bridalplesty women.

Fresh from her denial on Twitter that she "would never steal… I was not raised to lie, cheat or steal," Lindsay Lohan decided to get all kinds of jacked and watch CNN, then tweet about it. While I will give Lindsay a slow clap for not doing lines of blow while watching a marathon of Snapped, perhaps CNN wasn't the best idea. Because now Lindsay fancies herself a cracked-out diplomat:

Also- “its” is possessive. “It’s” is “it is”. It’s a common mistake that even non-crackheads make, but if Lindsay really wants to stick with this whole “crackhead scholar” thing, she should proof her tweets.

Jennifer Aniston celebrated her birthday by humping Jake Gyllenhaal

Last month, I wrote a post called "Taylor Swift is the new Jennifer Aniston". There was a report floating around that Aniston sauntered over to Taylor Swift at the People's Choice Awards and told Taylor to "hang in there" after Jake Gyllenhaal had dumped Swift over the phone. This struck me as funny/interesting because if you really give the personal lives/publicity campaigns around Swifty and Aniston a cursory look, they are strikingly similar these days. You might even say Swifty is the younger, twangier Aniston. Aniston Lite, if you will. Anyway, Life & Style reports that Jake is all over Aniston Classic - the two apparently spent Jennifer's birthday (yesterday) by having an "intimate dinner". In my mind, "intimate dinner" equals "Aniston getting hammered on 42 tequila shots and trying to make out with Jake while he gives the waiter the sexy side-eye."

Life & Style’s Scene Queens can exclusively reveal that Jennifer Aniston celebrated her 42nd birthday on Feb. 11 by having an intimate dinner with Jake Gyllenhaal in NYC.

The startlet took a break from her whirlwind promotional tour for her new film Just Go With It and made her way to The Spotted Pig restaurant where she dined in a private room with a group of friends and her former hunky co-star.

“Jake and Jen looked really happy and really seemed to be enjoying themselves,” an eyewitness tells the Scene Queens. “They looked like they were strategizing a way to exit the restaurant probably because they didn’t want to be photographed together.”

Shortly after their discussion Jen exited the restaurant with her friends in tow. Though Jake was not in the group, it is possible he could have snuck out the back door while no one was looking.

This romantic birthday dinner only adds fuel to the fire that Jen and Jake’s longtime friendship could be something more. The duo was spotted just weeks ago at a pre Golden Globes party in L.A where they were flirty. Despite their 11-year age difference, Jen and Jake have had a strong bond since they filmed The Good Girl in 2002.

“We took care of each other,” Jen has said about Jake. While the timing may have been off in the past, both Jake and Jen are currently single.

“Jen and Jake looked very comfortable with each other,” the eyewitness tells us. “They were glowing.”

My only problem with this is the identification of Aniston as a "starlet". Forty-two is too old to be a "starlet". Just call her an actress or a star. But yes, Jake and Jennifer, making sweet, sweet love. This isn't the first time there have been rumors about the two of them. I remember an incident, I believe in 2007, back when Jake was dating Reese Witherspoon. Jake presented an award to Jennifer at some event for… GLAAD, I want to say. And Jennifer basically dry humped him on the stage and people were all "Jennifer is trying to steal Jake from Reese!" Honestly, though, Jake and Jennifer aren't the worst idea. His image took a hit with the Swifty stuff, so now he's trying to butch it up with Madame Cougar/Miss People Magazine. Aniston's fan base will embrace him once again and next week we'll have stories about how Jake is "hotter" than Brad Pitt and how Brad is texting Jennifer because he's so worried that Jake will break her heart. Good stuff.
