Green Lantern Rocks The Milk’Stache For The British ‘Make Mine Milk’ Campaign

Here in the US we have the Got Milk? campaign … in the UK, they call it the Make Mine Milk campaign. The campaigns to get kids to drink milk may have different names but they have the same goal and the same milk’stache gimmick. In new poster artwork released in the UK this month, Green Lantern (played by Ryan Reynolds) is rockin’ the milk’stache … which you can see below.

Hal Jordan is a gifted and cocky test pilot, but the Green Lanterns have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite powers of the ring before. But Hal is clearly the missing piece to the puzzle, and along with his determination and willpower, he has one thing no member of the Corps has ever had: humanity. With the encouragement of fellow pilot and childhood sweetheart Carol Ferris, if Hal can quickly master his new powers and find the courage to overcome his fears, he may prove to be not only the key to defeating Parallax…he will become the greatest Green Lantern of all.

Hee hee … I kinda love the silliness of this campaign poster. Yes, the milk’stache looks funny on most people’s lips … but on Green Lantern, it’s just too much. I’m not sure if this kind of stuff actually gets kids to drink milk but … more power to them. What do y’all think of Green Lantern‘s love of cow juice? Are you a fan?

Watch: Rihanna, ‘California King Bed’

Last week we got a quick first peek at a photo from Rihanna‘s music video for her new single California King Bed. Today, Ri Ri unleashes the video for our collective viewing pleasure. Altho I’m not a huge fan of the song itself, I have to say … I really do love the video. IMHO, the video greatly helps the song’s appeal. Check out the video in full below and see for yourselves.


See, I think Rihanna is at her best when she keeps things simple … sexy and simple. For the most part, there aren’t any bells and whistles in this vid … just Rihanna, her man and a big ol’ bed. Sometimes understatement works best. This is a great video, don’t you think?

Colin Hanks Will Guest Star On ‘Dexter’ Season 6

Last Monday we learned of a report that claims that there will be at least 3 new characters introduced in the upcoming 6th season of the hit Showtime series Dexter … and today, courtesy of TVLine, we are learn who will play one of the new characters. It is being reported today that Colin Hanks has been cast in the upcoming season of Dexter … and it is believed he will play the season’s villain. Read on for all the known deets about Hanks‘s casting.

Colin Hanks has landed a role most actors would kill for. Sources confirm to TVLine exclusively that [Hanks] is joining the cast of Dexter for a major Season 6 arc. Like with most of the Showtime's drama's past guest stars (e.g. John Lithgow, Jimmy Smits), the specifics of Hanks' role are being kept under insanely tight wraps. (His character description is not believed to be among the trio of new recurring roles producers released breakdowns for earlier this month.) If Hanks turns out to be an adversary of Dex's, it's unlikely he'll fit the mold of past baddies such as Trinity and the Ice Truck Killer, given what Showtime president David Nevins recently told TVLine about the show's coming season. "It is not [about] one big bad," he told us. "There's one interesting story that will move through the season, and it will be cast very interestingly, but it's not exactly that one person."

Ohhh … I like this. Colin Hanks has that really creepy, guy next door look. He looks like he could be a trusted neighbor … or a psycho killer. He deffo has the look down … I am very intrigued by his casting. I’m also intrigued by the notion that there won’t be on singular bad guy. Mebbe Dexter will take on a few different, much younger serial killers? We’ll have to keep our ears to the ground to find out more about Hanks‘s new character on Dexter. I approve tho, this sounds like great news to me … what do YOU think?

Stanley Tucci Has Been Cast As Caesar Flickerman In ‘The Hunger Games’

Last month we learned that Stanley Tucci was being considered for a role in the big screen adaptation of The Hunger Games and today we learn, officially, that he has been cast in the film. Rumors were flying that Tucci was going to play anything from Cinna to President Snow … but today we are hearing that Stanley Tucci has been cast in the role of Caesar Flickerman! In addition, two newcomer actors have been cast as the tributes from District 9 … according to the official Facebook profile for the film. Stanley Tucci will play Caesar Flickerman in The Hunger Games for Lionsgate. Flickerman is the TV host of the deadly Hunger Games, who interviews all of the 24 tributes from the 12 districts and creates drama and sympathy for them among the TV viewing public. Gary Ross is directing the adaptation of the Suzanne Collins novel.

Brilliant, brilliant casting! In my imagination, I saw Caeser as a larger man … but I can totally see Tucci in the role. He will make an excellent Flickerman. I wholeheartedly approve of his casting. Here is our first look at the young actors who will play the nameless tributes from District 9 — Imanol Yepez-Frias and Annie Thurman:


There are still the tributes from District 1 and 10 to be cast … plus quite a few fairly big adult roles. But, I gotta say, I’m very happy with the way casting is turning out. What do y’all think? Is Stanley Tucci the image of Caesar Flickerman you had in mind?

First Listen: Lady Gaga, ‘The Edge Of Glory’

Lady Gaga has released the single artwork AND audio of her new song The Edge of Glory. Altho her album, Born This Way, has yet to be released, Glory is now the third single released after the singles Born This Way and Judas. Click below to check out the official single artwork and take a listen to Gaga‘s newest track Edge of Glory.


As far as cover artwork goes, I think this photo beats the Hell out of the photo that was chosen for the BTW album cover … no question. As for the single, it’s actually a not bad pop anthem:


This song is much better, IMHO, than Judas and is a more anthem-like power pop song than Born this Way. While I’m still not a fan of Lady Gaga‘s very produced sound, I can appreciate that this is a pop track that others might really enjoy. What do y’all think of Gaga‘s latest offering? Are you impressed? Do you like this track?

‘Thor’s Day

After spending much of the day yesterday indoors, I met up with Darion, Sebastian and their friend Angelique for an evening showing of Thor. Even tho I saw the film last Tuesday, I was anxious to see it again … and going with Darion and Seb was an offer I just couldn’t pass up. I have to say, Thor was just as good the second time around … I enjoyed it just as much as I did the first time I saw it :D


Because Darion, Sebastian and I can’t NOT have fun together, I decided to bring some fun toy props to the theater so we could take fun photos:


I don’t know about you but I think I wear plastic armor very well :) We had so much fun last night.

I’m not sure what’s on the agenda tonight but … I may be keeping things light. I’ve had a bizzy string of nights … I’d be nice to have a night off :)

Reese Witherspoon Spends Mother’s Day In A Cast

Reese Witherspoon, who was all smiles with her new husband Jim Toth and her children Ava Elizabeth and Deacon Reese at Mother’s Day service at church yesterday, appears to be nursing an injured foot. Reese was rockin’ a seriously serious brace/cast on her right foot yesterday, which makes it look like she broke or seriously injured her foot. Ouch!

Reese Witherspoon isn’t a woman to be daunted, so it was going to take more than a minor injury to stop her enjoying Mother’s Day with her brood. The 35-year-old actress was spotted at church today sporting a soft cast on her left foot, but it was offset by a beaming wide smile. And the petite blonde had still managed to dress smartly around the cumbersome boot, which was supporting an unknown injury. Soft casts are more often than not used to treat an ankle injury, the theory being that you can ‘walk off’ the issue with their added support. Whatever, the Water for Elephants star looked lovely in a pencil skirt with an on-trend voluminous blouse, and was helped tenderly by new husband Jim Toth. Her children, from her first marriage to actor Ryan Phillippe, 36 , were of course also right by her side on this special day. Ava, 11 , hid behind her movie star mother while eight-year-old Deacon, who looked adorable in his made-to-measure suit, led Witherspoon proudly – yet carefully – by the hand. It was a rare chance for Witherspoon to enjoy some downtime after the hefty promotional tour for the Depression era film in which she stars with Robert Pattinson, and of course, Tai the elephant. She barely had time to enjoy the afterglow of her March 16 wedding to CAA agent Toth, a brief honeymoon in Belize, before she was back at work … There’s no official line on how Witherspoon injured her foot, though to play circus performer Marlena in the film, she learnt out to do some dangerous activities.

Poor Reese … I wonder what happened? I know she’s been bizzy gallivanting all over the globe to promote Water for Elephants but I don’t think she was forced to participate in any dangerous activity … surely not as dangerous as the stuff she had to do for the film. You may recall that we just saw photos of Reese and Robert Pattinson in Sydney, Australia doing promo for their film … and she was not wearing this brace then. Whatever the case may be, let’s hope that Reese gets well soon. It’s clear that nothing was going to mar her special day yesterday ;) Injured foot or not, it looks like Reese had a great Mother’s Day yesterday.

Prince Harry Chills With Charlize Theron

Now that things are getting back to normal in the British Royal Family in the wake of Prince William‘s wedding to Kate Middleton last weekend, Prince Harry is getting back into the swing of his everyday life. Over the weekend, Harry participated in a charity polo match to raise funds for his Sentebele charity and was spotted chatting up actress Charlize Theron at the event. His usual blonde companion is on-off girlfriend Chelsy Davy. Yesterday Prince Harry appeared to have found a stand-in at the polo field, in the form of Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron. The 26-year-old prince seemed at his ease with the South African Miss Theron, 35. The pair laughed and joked together at the Audi Challenge Polo Cup at Coworth Park in Ascot, Berkshire. Perhaps they were talking about charity work – something they have in common. Harry helped establish Sentebale, in Lesotho, in southern Africa to help orphans and the forgotten victims of poverty and AIDS. Miss Theron has established her own outreach project to help prevent the spread of HIV among teenagers. An onlooker said: 'They appeared to be getting on very well.'

HMMM … I guess I never noticed how much Charlize looks like Harry‘s on-again-off-again girlfriend Chelsy Davy. I’m not sure if Harry is in the market for a new lady but I can see him gettin’ with an older chick. I have to say, Harry cuts a nice figure in his polo whites, don’t he? Now that Prince William is safely married off, the focus can now turn to Harry … will he marry or will he keep on playing the field as a raging bachelor playboy? Time will tell … but, to be honest, I could see him settling down … some day.

Whitney Houston Is In Rehab

I’ve got a bit of sad news to pass along today … it turns out that Whitney Houston has checked herself into an outpatient rehab program for drug and alcohol addiction. As you may recall, I reported that Whitney surprised the audience at the Prince concert last Thursday night by jumping on stage to perform with both Chaka Khan and Prince himself. It turns out that Whitney attended the show while she was rehabbing herself. Click below to read the statement issued by Whitney‘s publicist about this new stint in rehab.

“Whitney Houston is currently in an out-patient rehab program for drug and alcohol treatment. Whitney voluntarily entered the program to support her long-standing recovery process.”

TMZ first reported that Whitney was in rehab but they erroneously reported that she was NOT seeking treatment for drugs and alcohol. But Whitney‘s publicist has confirmed that she is, in fact, seeking treatment for drug and alcohol abuse. As as as this sounds, it’s a very positive step for her to seek the treatment that she apparently needs. I was very surprised and happy to see Whitney at the Prince concert last Thursday … I just hope she is really taking her outpatient rehab seriously. Alicia Silverstone Has Reportedly Given Birth [UPDATE]

Congratulations are in order for Clueless actress Alicia Silverstone because a new report out today from X17 claims that Alicia gave birth to her firstborn child this weekend. According to the report, Alicia gave birth via natural waterbirth here in SoCal on Friday …. meaning she got to enjoy her first Mother’s Day with her 2 day old baby!

Alicia Silverstone had the best Mother’s Day weekend ever … thanks to the birth of her new baby! X17online can report exclusively that Silverstone had a water birth at an LA-area birthing center on Friday. We’ve learned the new mommy is already at home with her little bundle! Throughout her entire pregnancy, the 34-year-old actress has been promoting her new diet book “The Kind Diet” … which follows vegan principle. Silverstone and hubby Christopher Jarecki, 40, confirmed they were expecting their first baby together back in January.

Aww … what a great weekend for new moms! Earlier today we got to see an adorable photo of Alanis Morissette celebrating her first Mother’s Day and we know that Mariah Carey celebrated her first Mother’s Day this weekend with her twin babies Monroe and Moroccan Scott, who were born last weekend … and now we learn that Alicia joined the new moms club just in time for Mother’s Day as well :D I guess it was time for all those pregnant bellies that we’ve been watching for the past few months to pop. Let’s send all of our love and congrats to Alicia and her hubby Christopher Jarecki on the birth of their new baby!!

Update: People magazine is confirming the news that Alicia Silverstone gave birth but they update by reporting she actually gave birth on Thursday … and she has already named her son!

Alicia Silverstone is a mom! The actress and author, 34, welcomed her first child with husband Christopher Jarecki on Thursday, May 5, her rep tells PEOPLE exclusively. Son Bear Blu Jarecki weighed in at 7 lbs., 15 oz. "Mom and Dad are completely in love" with their "beautiful baby boy," Silverstone's rep said in a statement.

Marg Helgenberger Calls Justin Bieber A ‘Brat’

Back in February we learned that popstar turned “actor” Justin Bieber was SHOT and KILLED on an episode of CSI: and today we are hearing from one of the CSI: actors what it was like to have Bieber on the set of the show. Marg Helgenberger, one of the original stars of CSI:, gave an interview on French radio last week commenting on Bieber‘s appearance on her show … and she confessed that he was “kind of a brat” on the set. Say what? The Biebs a brat? Say it ain’t so! Bieber heard about Helgenberger‘s comments and took to his official Twitter profile this morning to give a response. Read all the juicy deets of this budding new feud below.

Justin Bieber has won plaudits for his remarkably grown-up attitude to super stardom. But while the teenager has so far avoided any scandals, he has been revealed as a ‘bit of a brat’ by one of the lead star’s of CSI. ‘I shouldn't be saying this but he was kind of a brat,’ Marg Helgenberger said. ‘He was very nice to me. But he locked one of the producers in a closet and he put his fist through a cake that was on the cast's table.’ Helgenberger, 52, plays CSI investigator Catherine Willows and has received Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for her role. In the interview, with a French reporter from Europe1, she is seen rolling her eyes when asked if Bieber’s role was just to boost ratings or if he was a talented actor. Helgenberger visibly rolled her eyes when asked if his role was written to raise ratings, or because the singer is ‘truly a good actor.’ ‘Justin Bieber wasn't bad bad,’ Helgenberger said. ‘But he'd never acted before… He's better than you'd think.’ Helgenberger’s criticism is very different to the official line on Bieber. 'He did a really good job,' CSI’s executive producer Carol Mendelsohn told USA Today earlier this year.

The Biebs posted a series of tweets just moments ago addressing Helgenberger‘s criticism, here is what he has to say on the matter:

Aww … it must be tough for a kid to hear this kind of criticism from a 52 year old woman. On the one hand, I can seen how Bieber‘s behavior on the set may have been perceived as “bratty” but, then again, he is just a kid … kids do bratty things. All I know is Marg Helgenberger better beware … Justin Bieber fans — or Beliebers, if you will — are an unruly bunch when they feel their idol has been attacked. I mean, just look at poor Selena Gomez … she has received some pretty harsh treatment from Bieber fans just because the two are dating. Watch your back, Marg … you in danger, girl.

Paula Abdul Joins Simon Cowell At ‘The X Factor’ Auditions In SoCal

Yesterday we learned the “official” news that Paula Abdul signed on to be the 4th judge on the US version of the music competition show The X Factor and today we not only get to read the official official press release announcement about Paula‘s casting but we also get to see the first photos of the X Factor judges — all of them — showing up for the first round of auditions for the show here in SoCal yesterday afternoon. As you can see from the photos below, ti was a happy reunion for Simon and Paula … she was so happy to be working with Simon again that she couldn’t even keep her hands, lips and legs off of him.

America's sweetheart, world-renowned choreographer and pop icon Paula Abdul will join Cheryl Cole, Antonio "L.A." Reid and Simon Cowell as a judge on THE X FACTOR, the highly anticipated singing competition series debuting this fall on FOX. I’m an old skool fan of LA Reid‘s work with his ex-wife and former popstar Pebbles so I think I’m really looking forward to seeing this judging panel in action. Alanis Morissette Celebrates Her First Mother’s Day

Singer/songwriter Alanis Morissette, who gave birth to her first born child in late December, celebrated her first Mother’s Day as a mom yesterday and shared an adorable new photo of her son Ever Imre on her official Facebook profile. When last we saw photos of Alanis and Ever out and about in public, it was March and the little guy was still a wee one. In this new photo, we see that Ever Imre is still wee … and still absolutely beautiful.

Look at those beautiful eyes, that beautiful face! It’s no secret that Alanis Morissette is a very spiritual person, I can only imagine what kind of euphoric bliss she has been reveling in since the birth of her son. I know that the first Mother’s Day is a very special one for all women … but it’s not very often that we get this kind of insight as to how first time celeb moms celebrate their first Mother’s Days. Let’s send out all of our love to all the moms out there … just one more time ;D
