Nicki Minaj Gets Bootylicious In Orlando, FL

While we wait to hear if Nicki Minaj will be going on tour with Britney Spears this Summer, let’s check in on her current tour with Lil’ Wayne which made a stop in Orlando, FL last night. Nicki was at her bootylicious-best last night on stage … and happily decided to give her on stage lap dance to a lucky woman rather than a man. It would seem that Nicki is a happy, equal opportunity lap dance giver … but to her fans’ delight.


As far as I know, Nicki didn’t bust out any sex toys on stage (like she did at THIS concert stop last month) but she did bust out her ample booty … oh yes, and of course, her same-sex lap dance:


Nicki is a hoot! I would LOVE to see her life in concert for myself … and if she does team up with Britney for her Summer tour, I’ll get to see her on more than one occasion :) Come on, Powers that Be … let this Nicki/Britney Tour happen!!

Anne Hathaway Opens Up About ‘Tough’ Oscar Hosting Criticism

After hosting what has been called the “worst Academy Awards” of all time, Anne Hathaway appeared on The Today Show earlier today to open up about the tough criticism she faced as the youngest Oscar host in history. Anne was on the show to promote her new animated film Rio and when the topic turned to the skewering she and co-host James Franco received for their Oscars hosting duties, she was very frank about how difficult the harsh criticism has been for her.

Anne Hathaway defending her Oscar hosting performance – which was dubbed the ‘worst ever’ by critics. The 28-year-old headed up the ceremony in February with 127 Hours star James Franco. ‘The critics were tough,’ said Hathaway on US morning programme, The Today Show. ‘They called it the worst show ever. I think that qualifies as tough,’ she laughed. The actress went on to say that she took comfort in the fans who liked her performance. ‘I try to think about the Oscars in several ways now,’ she said ‘There was the critical reaction, which was awful, and then there is the people who have been coming up to me afterwards who stop and say “I thought it was fantastic. I watched it with my family and we loved it”. ‘I am very grateful to those people,’ she added. Hathaway says that she still greatly enjoyed being the youngest ever host of the Academy Awards. ‘I got to walk out and see all those people and I will always have that and be able to tell my grandkids about it hopefully,’ she said. ‘Would you do it again?’ asked host Matt Lauer. ‘Mmmmm, why not, I don’t know, maybe not,’ said Hathaway, grinning.

Um … no. Anne will not be hosting the Academy Awards again, it ain’t gonna happen. That being said, I don’t really think all the fault should be placed on her shoulders. James Franco was by far the worse of the two hosts … and Anne should get credit for, at least, attempting to do the best job she could. Tough criticism comes with the territory … so it sounds like Anne is handling it all like a champ. What concerns me more than her Oscar hosting gig is her upcoming role as Selina Kyle/Catwoman in the upcoming sequel film The Dark Knight Rises. If she does NOT bring that character to life in a manner that will satisfy diehard fans, then she can expect more tough criticism to come.

Demi Moore Makes Her Way To Nepal On A Charity Mission

Earlier this week we saw photos from Angelina Jolie‘s visit to Tunisia on behalf of the United Nations in her role as Goodwill Ambassador and today we get to see new photos of fellow actress Demi Moore‘s visit to Nepal for a charity mission of her own. While Angelina was doing refugee work in Tunisia, Demi was working a sex trafficking documentary for CNN. Check out deets and photos from Demi‘s trip below.

Angelina Jolie isn’t the only Hollywood actress lending her star power to a good cause. Demi Moore has just spent five days in Nepal where she is filming a documentary for CNN on the sex trafficking trade. She visited Maiti Nepal, an organisation aimed to protect women and girls from the crimes related to the sex trafficking industry and she met with Anuradha Koirala, the charity’s founder. The 62-year-old former school teacher last year won the coveted CNN Hero Of The Year Award for her work through the charity. The two women took part in a press conference raising awareness of the charity and its work. Demi, 48, and Anuradha posed for pictures together and met with dozens of the women and girls helped by the organisation which, to date, has rescued over 12,000 women from sex slavery. During her five day visit Demi was also escorted to Bhairahawa, one of the main entry points to Nepal from India for traffickers bringing women and children across the border. She also visited Lumbini, the birthplace of the Buddha. That too was recorded for the documentary by the accompanying CNN team. Demi posted a message on her Twitter about the trip saying: ‘Excited to be visiting Annuradha and Maiti Nepal today with @CNNFreedom Project! She has rescued over 12k women and girls from sex slavery!’ The sex trafficking trade is a cause close to Demi’s heart as she started her own charity supporting the issue called The Demi And Ashton Foundation, alongside her husband Ashton Kutcher. The charity aims to raise awareness about child sex slavery and help victims.

It is so inspiring to see photos from the humanitarian visits that these celebrities do because so many of us cannot just jet around the world to help others in need despite the fact that we are all well aware that the need is great. If visits to Tunisia or Nepal like these can inspire others to help out in any way they can then I hope there is much publicity possible. As always, it is very heartening to see celebs take time out of their bizzy schedules to help others in this way. Women like Angelina, Demi and most especially Anuradha Koirala are true heroes … because they not only care enough to help others but they actually extend the effort to work for change. These are the kinds of stories that we should celebrate and share. Well done, Demi.

First Look: Colin Farrell In The Remake Of ‘Fright Night’

Proving, for the umpteenth millionth time that there are no new ideas left in Hollywood, today we get our first look at promo photos from the upcoming remake of the 1985 vampire horror film Fright Night. In the original film, a teenage horror film fan discovers that he is living next door to an actual vampire and must find a way to rid the world of this evil. In the remake, Star Trek‘s Anton Yelchin plays the teenager and Colin Farrell plays the vampire. Oh, and by the way, this new version of Fright Night will be presented in 3D.

One of the most memorable horror movies of the 1980s is getting a 2011 update with the release of this summer’s ‘Fright Night.’ ‘Fright Night’ is just your average story of a typical suburban kid who meets his new next-door neighbor, quickly suspects that said neighbor is actually a blood-sucking vampire, has his fears confirmed when his life is put in danger, watches his mother get put under a hypnotic vampire’s spell, must team with a Vegas stage-show magician to slay the undead threat, and somehow save the day. You know, typical teenage angst. ‘Fright Night’ is filled with plenty of scares, lots of blood and even a few laughs. And now Moviefone has exclusive new images of ‘Fright Night”s spooky treats.

UGH! Someone PLEASE drive a stake into the heart of the vampire movie craze! I mean, damn … I love vampires, I really do … but isn’t all of this really getting out of hand? Fright Night was a film that genuinely scared the HELL out of me when I was a little kid. The thought of protecting myself from vampires was a real fear that I had as a child. Fright Night was one of the vampire films that made me believe that, yeah, vamps could be your neighbors and they could strike whenever they like. I have mixed feelings about this remake. It’s not a film that I feel I have to see but it’s a film that I might see … if the conditions were right. I don’t know how I feel about Colin Farrell as a vampire … but I do like Anton Yelchin. The 3D isn’t a real draw for me … but I am glad that I didn’t see the original film in 3D. I prolly would’ve died of sheer fear. This new version of Fright Night is due out in August. Is this a film that you think YOU’D like to see?

Oll’s Well That Ends Well

Last night David and I made our way to downtown LA to hang out with Ollie and Caleb on their first night back in LA after their week-long trip to London. The four of us were supposed to hang out with Tam and Rob a couple of weeks ago but because of their trip, we weren’t able to hang. We remedied that situation last night over pints of Guinness at Casey’s Pub.


It is absolutely impossible to have a bad time when hanging out with Ollie and Caleb. Over fish and chips and lots of Guinness, we were able to catch up and share stories from our recent adventures abroad. Of course, we had to take some fun photos before saying goodbye but I’m planning on seeing them again this weekend for a brunch hang-out session with our dear friend Irene.

Not sure what the plan is for today. We may be hanging out with a special little darling girl who is celebrating her 6 month birthday today … so, I’m looking forward to that. Have a great Thursday, y’all!!

Late last month we learned that famed actress Helen Mirren, who recently left her hand/footprints in the cement in front of Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood, will host Saturday Night Live this weekend and today we get to check out her cute SNL promo videos with Fred Armisen. The gags are silly but funny. I have high hopes for this weekend’s ep of SNL.


I was really hoping that Elton John was gonna bring the yuks when he hosted last week but … overall, I felt the show was kinda meh. It wasn’t even poor writing that was the problem … Elton was just really stiff thruout the whole show which was kinda off-putting. I know Helen is a pro so her acting will not be the problem, if there is one. Helen Mirren rules! I can’t wait to watch her host SNL this weekend.

David Burtka Does Solo Daddy Duty

New daddy David Burtka, who is father to twin babies with his partner Neil Patrick Harris, was spotted out with his gorgeous baby daughter Harper Grace here in SoCal yesterday doing solo daddy duty. David and Harper paid a visit to a pediatric medical center but it is not known if little Harper is sick or if she just went in for a check-up. What is certain is that David and Harper make an absolutely adorable twosome. Check out the photos below.


Will you PLEASE look at those adorable chubby cheeks? Harper Grace is just a doll … an absolute doll. I am LOVING that David, a Michigan native, is rockin’ the sweet Detroit Tigers baseball cap. Yeah, I pretty much LOVE everything about these photos. Let’s hope Harper just went for a check-up cuz I would hate for a sweet darling girl like this to be sick. So cute!!

‘Hanna’ Premieres In NYC

Last night actors Saoirse Ronan and Eric Bana were joined by fellow celebs at the premiere of their new film Hanna at the Regal Union Square in NYC, NY. I am really excited for a host of new films this year and ever since I saw the trailer for Hanna a couple of months ago, the film went straight to the top of my must see list. Check out some photos from the red carpet arrivals last night.


Saoirse, who was EXCELLENT in The Lovely Bones (actually, she was the only good thing about the film), stars as Hanna … a young girl trained to be an assassin who sets her sights on Cate Blanchett‘s character in an act of revenge on behalf of her father, played by Eric Bana. There is something about the way the film is presented in the trailer that makes it look amazingly kickass to me:


I’ve been so wrapped up in The Hunger Games book series lately that I have transferred some of that love to this film. Hanna opens here in the US tomorrow and I am deffo planning to be there opening day. If you’re looking for a great film to see this weekend, I’m thinking Hanna is going to be that film.

First Look: ‘Twilight’s Bella Swan In Her Wedding Dress

Entertainment Weekly brings us our first look at two new illustrations from the forthcoming book The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide (due out on Tuesday April 12) that feature protagonist Bella Swan as an undead vampire and as a blushing bride. The illustrations were created by Young Kim who also illustrated the Twilight graphic novel and they give us a nice feel for how actress Kristen Stewart will look as a vampire and bride.

EW has not one but two exclusive images from Stephenie Meyer's new book, The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide, which goes on sale April 12: Bella as a vampire and Bella in her wedding dress. A nice walk-up to the first Breaking Dawn film, no? I didn't expect to like the first Twilight graphic novel as much as I did, and these illustrations are by that book's illustrator, Young Kim, who did such a great job bringing Meyer's characters to life.

Stylistically, these are great illustrations. I know there has been much debate over how Bella‘s wedding dress will look in the upcoming sequel film The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn … so now we know what to expect. The Vampire Bella is pretty sweet-lookin’ too. I’m quite certain that Twilight fans will be clamoring for this new Illustrated Guide book for The Twilight Saga. The book hits stores on Tuesday and can be ordered from Amazon HERE. What do y’all think? Is this the image of Bella that you envisioned in your mind?

Has Taylor Swift Found New Love With Garrett Hedlund?

Taylor Swift, who previously (and very famously) dated Jake Gyllenhaal for about 5 minutes, has reportedly found new love with a new man. According to new reports out this week, Taylor was spotted on a “romantic dinner date” with Country Strong actor Garrett Hedlund in her beloved hometown of Nashville, TN. The couple has not yet been photographed together BUT if this coupling is true, it’s one that I would happily support.

Taylor Swift had a low-key dinner wtih Garrett Hedlund in Nashville April 1. “It was their first time going out,” a source tells Us Weekly of Swift’s evening with the Tron: Legacy and Country Strong star, 26, who has been in Nashville recording a CD. “They’ve been emailing for a while, and she hinted they should get together.” Hedlund joined his date at 8 p.m. and was back at his hotel by 12:30 a.m. Swift, 21 — who won Entertainer of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards April 3 and will continue her Speak Now tour May 27 — is taking things slowly after her fast-track romance and breakup with Jake Gyllenhaal last fall. “”She has actually spent time getting to know Garrett,” says the insider. “He’s cute — and he’s into country music! [She] likes that he’s a normal guy.”

Let’s not forget that Taylor went on a pretty public date with Glee star Chord Overstreet back in February … but nothing seems to have come from that pairing. As for this reported date with Garrett, I dunno … it kinda makes sense. Garrett is Country enough, I think, to be compatible with Taylor and yet different enough to offer her something new. I like the notion of these two together. To be honest, I like Taylor with anyone who is not Jake Gyllenhaal. As I’ve said all along, their pairing never made sense to me. It sounds like Taylor is now focusing on guys who seem much more compatible for her. Let’s see if these two end up going on date #2. What do y’all think … are Taylor and Garrett a good match?

In February, the new parents emerged in public together for the first time since their baby was born … but there was no sign of little Leo. Today, Us Weekly magazine brings us our first look at the darling little dude as he makes his public debut with mommy and daddy here in SoCal.

Hola, Leo! Late last week, Penelope Cruz and husband Javier Bardem took a sun-lit stroll in Will Rogers Park in Pacific Palisades, Calif. with a very precious package: Their brand-new baby boy! Only UsMagazine.com has the first exclusive photos of the Oscar-winning Spanish couple doting over their adorable (and drowsy!) son, reportedly named Leo Encinas. Surrounded by family members, Cruz, 36, gave birth to little Leo in late January at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. Dating since 2007, she and her Vicky Cristina Barcelona costar Bardem, 42, secretly wed in July 2010 in a small ceremony at a pal’s house in the Bahamas. Tina Fey Announces Her 2nd Pregnancy On ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’

Congratulations are in order for funny lady Tina Fey and her hubby Jeff Richmond because they are pregs with their second child! Tina broke the good news yesterday during a taping for The Oprah Winfrey Show and altho her interview won’t air on TV until next Tuesday April 12 (she’ll be on the show to promote her new book Bossypants), the good news managed to get out!

Tina Fey is pregnant with her second child, People reports. The 30 Rock star and executive producer revealed the big news during a taping of The Oprah Winfrey Show on Wednesday. Fey, 40, is five months along. Fey and her husband, composer Jeff Richmond, already have a 5-year-old daughter, Alice. The couple has been married since 2001. It’s not certain if Fey’s pregnancy will be written into 30 Rock even though her character, Liz Lemon, has talked about wanting to be a mother for years. Producers opted not to write in co-star Jane Krakowski’s pregnancy earlier this season. Plus, it might not be necessary since the comedy will soon go on summer hiatus. Fey’s appearance on Oprah Winfrey is set to air on April 12. Her new book, Bossypants, hits stores on Tuesday.

There’s been talk that 30 Rock may end soon (perhaps as early as after next season) but wouldn’t it be nice if Tina‘s 30 Rock character Liz Lemon became a mom on the show before the series comes to an end? No matter what happens in Tina‘s fictional world, I’m sure she is ecstatic that she is going to be a new mom again! Let’s send all of our love and congrats to Tina, Jeff and daughter Alice on the expansion of their happy family!!
