Michael Jackson’s Doctor Is Finally Paying For His Shady A** Tactics Posted: 12 Jan 2011 05:58 AM PST A year and a half after MJ’s not-so-accidental-looking death, Dr. Conrad Murray is finally feeling some real consequences. According to TMZ, a Cali judge has ruled that there is enough evidence to take the case against Murray to trial. Judge Michael Pastor ruled there is sufficient evidence to warrant a manslaughter trial. In his closing statement, Deputy District Attorney David Walgren told the judge, “It was not Michael Jackson’s time to go. Michael Jackson is not here today because of the negligence and reckless acts of Dr. Murray.” Walgren said Murray cared more about covering up evidence than helping MJ. Judge Pastor’s ruling follows a 6-day preliminary hearing in which more than 20 witnesses were called. If convicted Murray faces a maximum of 4 years in prison. Murray’s lawyer, Ed Chernoff, tells TMZ, “We are disappointed but not surprised. We knew we would be in trial and that’s where we’re going to end up.” TMZ also reports that Judge Pastor finally did what the California Medical Board has been asking him to do about Murray’s license. Dr. Conrad Murray’s medical license has just been suspended. Judge Michael Pastor just ordered the suspension, as a condition to Dr. Murray’s bail in the Michael Jackson manslaughter case. The Medical Board of California has asked the court twice before to yank Murray’s license, to no avail. But minutes after ordering Murray to stand trial, Judge Pastor granted the request. Dr. Murray has 24 hours to notify the medical boards in Texas and Nevada of Judge Pastor’s decision. It’s a devastating blow to Murray, because he needs to practice to make enough money to pay his legal team. Murray’s team believes the move is designed to take away his right to defend himself in the manslaughter trial. We can only imagine what info is going to come out of this trial.

Despite more than $1.4 billion in relief aid donated, little progress can be seen in the country and people are asking: Where’d the money go? PORT-AU-PRINCE—Last January, hundreds of thousands of Haitians lost their lives and millions lost their homes in an earthquake that flattened much of the capital. A year later, Haitians appear to have lost something else: hope. The impoverished Caribbean nation marks the anniversary of the Jan. 12, 2010, quake on Wednesday with little to cheer. Haiti’s government, which itself was hit hard by the quake, has been incapable of responding to the crisis. Foreign aid has trickled in, and a rush of well-meaning charities have led to chaos. Piles of rubble still clog the streets; at the current rate, it will take 20 years simply to clean up the mess. Nearly a million people still live in about 1,300 makeshift refugee camps that occupy every available parking lot and open space in the capital. With each passing day, the camps take on a more permanent look. “We are just completely discouraged now,” said Fai-na Bernadette, a 24-year-old nurse who has been living in a soccer field in Petionville, a suburb of the capital, alongside 3,000 other refugees. Carleene Dei, director of the United States Agency for International Development told reporters in a January 7 conference call that there was a “lack of understanding” about the pace at which pledges from March’s donors conference could be met, referring to the UN conference where nations pledged more than $10 billion to help Haiti rebuild itself. “A pledge is not a check,” she said. “A pledge has to be turned into legislation. Legislation has to be turned into plans. Plans have to be vetted and approved. And money has to be made available.” Tragic. Source

According to Forbes, Jay-Z insulted Baby, CEO of the Cash Money Gang, with this line: Ni**az fantasize about the sh*t that I do daily, Like these rappers rap about all the sh*t that I do really? I’m like… “Really Half a Billi Ni**a, Really You Got BABY Money” Keep it real with Ni**az, Ni**az ain’t got my lady money! Now… we are not exactly sure what made Forbes think that they are experts on Jay-Z lyrics but they went for it. Take a look at what they had to say: On the track, released on Kanye's Facebook page early Tuesday morning, Jay-Z complains that his competitors merely fantasize about what he does on a daily basis — including, but not limited to, schmoozing with Warren Buffet and Steve Forbes. He also cites this writer's $450 million valuation of his personal net worth, rounding up slightly to "half a billie," before taking a shot at a fellow Hip-Hop Cash King or two: "Really, you got baby money." The line is a double entendre meant both as a general reference to the small amount of money that other rappers have in comparison to Jay-Z, and as a specific reference to the wealth of rapper Dwayne "Lil Wayne" Carter, also known as "Weezy Baby," and fellow New Orleans rapper and record executive Brian "Birdman" Williams, also known as "Baby." The latter recently claimed the former had more money than Jay-Z, which is, well, simply not true. Jay-Z earned $63 million dollars last year, tops on our list of hip-hop's top earners, while Lil Wayne banked $20 million. Birdman did not make the list. Perhaps the best line on Jay-Z's new track is a verifiable and, one might say progressive, boast: "(You) ain't got my lady's money!" In a recent interview with Good Housekeeping, he speaks on the best and worst thing about being married and what it’s being a father… The best thing about being married is… having your best friend by your side constantly. Knowing that someone has your back. The toughest part about being married is… being so close to someone that they get on your nerves more than you thought anyone ever could [laughs]. I’m talking about my getting on her nerves. I never thought I’d be caught… doing the grunt work — stroller in one hand and diaper bag in the other. I always thought I’d have everything worked out, but when you’re in it, you’re not thinking about looking cool. The most challenging part of being a dad is… the lack of sleep. The most rewarding part of being a dad is… when he smiles, it’s as if he’s blessing us. We’re the parents and should be the ones in control, but he’s the little prince, and we feel like we’re waiting on him. My definition of romance is… after you’ve been together for so long and had kids, you’ve done all the stereotypical romantic stuff — chocolate and flowers. It becomes what’s valuable to the other person in that moment, which for my wife is giving her a break — like, by handling bath time. The most used appliance in our house is… the blender. My wife is always making these crazy shakes that smell awful. But they have helped her lose weight. The least used appliance in our house is… the iPad. I never have time. I have to force myself to have fun and use it. On a house project, one of the most important things is… knowing your limits. My wife never throws anything at me that I can’t handle. I’m very proud of putting together a simple plastic slide for Walker. I felt like the king of the world. My favorite family ritual is… singing. We sing to Walker; we’re always making up songs — about poop, snot, the car seat. We’re both musical people, and my mother raised [my siblings and me] with songs about brushing our teeth, so that’s definitely something that’s being handed down. Source
