Yesterday we got to see the AMAZING previously unseen footage of actor Eric Stoltz in the role of Marty McFly in Back to the Future (before he got canned and was replaced by Michael J. Fox) and today we get to see a fun new promo video of Michael J. today back in character as Marty McFly to promote the upcoming 2010 Spike Scream Awards:


To coincide with the 25th anniversary of Back to the Future, the 5th annual Spike Scream Awards are paying tribute to the film during their awards show which will air on Spike TV next Tuesday October 19. This new promo vid is full of Back to the Future awesomeness — check it out, after the jump …

First Look: Tim Gunn On ‘Gossip Girl’

At the close of last season on Gossip Girl, Jenny Humphrey (played by Taylor Momsen) was exiled from NYC, NY by Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) after her sexual liaison with Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) was uncovered. It would appear that all of that is just water under the bridge because Little J is coming back to NYC, coming back to Gossip Girl … and she’s bringing the amazing Tim Gunn with her:

Although Blair (Leighton Meester) made it perfectly clear that Little J was no longer welcome in Manhattan after what happened with Chuck (Ed Westwick), Jenny (Taylor Momsen) is tempted by a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet Tim Gunn ("Project Runway"), which could be a game changer for her future. Meanwhile, Serena (Blake Likely) discovers something about her new boyfriend, Colin (guest star Sam Page), that may put an end to their relationship just as it was getting good. Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford, Jessica Szohr, Kelly Rutherford and Matthew Settle also star.

As you may recall, back in August we got to see Tim Gunn on the GG set and now we know when he’ll debut on the show … Monday October 25. I guess Jenny will be coming back to NYC to attend classes at Parsons New School for Design and that is why Tim is appearing on the show. I understand that Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner and Isaac Mizrahi will also be appearing on the 10/25 ep. Set those DVRs, it’s an ep you Gossip Girl fans do not want to miss. I’m still loving the show, really loving Tim Gunn … Taylor‘s miserable smirk, notsomuch. Eh, I guess you can’t love everything ;)

Watch: Rihanna, ‘Only Girl (In The World)’

Last Saturday we got to see a few screencaps from Rihanna‘s new music video Only Girl (In The World), the lead track off her new album Loud (due out in November). Today we get to see the music video in full:


I don’t believe the video has been released yet officially but, well, as you know Rihanna‘s music videos tend to find their way to the Internets before they’re really supposed to. The vid is pretty straightforward … Ri Ri in the middle of a giant field, belting out her song. The video doesn’t really fit the song IMHO but … I guess it’s a’ight. I honestly cannot take her seriously with that wig on … I really don’t like it at all. The song is growing on me tho … the vid, meh. What do y’all think? Is this a hot vid worthy of leading the release of a new album?

Tom Hardy Has Reportedly Been Cast In The New Batman Film

Deadline New York is breaking some new Batman news today with their report that Inception star Tom Hardy has been cast in the upcoming new Batman sequel film. Altho the studio is keeping mum on what role he’ll play, Deadline reports that it will be a “lead role”:

While Tom Hardy’s plan to play Mad Max in the George Miller-directed Mad Max: Fury Road has hit another delay, the fast-rising Hardy’s in the mix for another big film at Warner Bros. I’m told that Hardy has been set by his Inception director Chris Nolan for a lead role in the next Batman film at Warner Bros. Insiders are keeping the role secret and won’t even say if he’s up for a villain role, but that seems a reasonable assumption.

OMG … this is fantastic news. It’s pretty common knowledge that Christopher Nolan, who is in charge of directing the Batman films, loves to reuse his actors … so Hardy, who was in Inception, in the new Batman makes sense. I’m just DYING to know just how “lead” his role will be. Will he play the main villain? Will he play the much-rumored Riddler role? Will he play a good guy … mebbe Robin? I will be watching this guy like a hawk … he’s gonna be a big star, I just know it. Any guesses on who YOU think Tom Hardy will play in the new Batman film?

Lindsay Lohan Reportedly Escapes Rehab

According to a new report from RadarOnline, Lindsay Lohan — currently rehabbing herself at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, CA — tried to escape the grounds of the rehab center to score some Coke … as in the carbonated soft drink beverage. I guess L. Lo was really dying for some soda pop and just had to try and get some off the rehab grounds:

Lindsay Lohan was caught trying to escape the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, California, earlier this week, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting. But all Lohan, 24, desperately wanted to score was a coke fix — of the cola variety! In a tale so bizarre it is almost unbelievable, RadarOnline.com has confirmed the Hollywood wild child attempted to flee the Betty Ford grounds to sneak into the nearby Eisenhower Medical Center, in a bid to buy a soda from a vending machine. Lohan’s rouse was almost pulled off it wasn’t for her accomplice, another patient, whose clothing got caught on the fence. “Lindsay and her co-conspirator were forced to give it up and flag down a volunteer, who was crossing the center’s grounds on a golf cart,” a source, with knowlegde of the situation, told RadarOnline.com. “The pair was safely returned, decaffeinated, to their hall, were they were the center of a process meeting over what they had done.”

You know, as long as she was only lookin’ for soda pop and not anything else, I’d say this is a hopeful story. While I’m certain there are rules in rehab prohibiting luxuries like caffeine, this story could’ve been a lot more tragic. I just hope that Lindsay is really learning to control her demons … this is her chance to save her own life. Here’s hoping she makes good use of the opportunity she has been given to sober up.

Sax Appeal

Last night I had the extreme pleasure of attending a Q&A and concert performance by saxophonist Dave Koz (one of my idols) at the Clive Davis Theater inside the Grammy Museum in downtown Los Angeles. I’ve been a big fan of Dave since his debut album came out in 1989 and really looked up to him when I played sax in high school. Tho I stopped playing after graduation, I remained a loyal fan of Dave Koz over the years and was thrilled to hear of the intimate show he was performing here in LA:


In his pre-concert interview, Dave mentioned that he filmed a video for the It Gets Better Project that attempts to spread the word to the young GLBT that there is hope even when they may not believe so. Dave came out a few years ago and proudly discusses his personal story whenever he can. He truly is an inspiration. BUT … he is also an amazing musician as well. After the jump, check out a few photos from Dave Koz‘s performance at the Grammy Museum last night …


Dave Koz has been in the biz for 20 years and just yesterday released his newest album titled Hello Tomorrow. He is labeled as a jazz performer because he plays instrumental sax but I hear him more like a pop star. His talent is just amazing … forget what Kenny G may have made you believe about instrumental saxophone, Dave Koz is a real talent and I’m always blown away by hearing him perform live. For those of you here in the LA area, Dave will be performing at an in-store appearance at the Border’s at Westfield Century City tonight at 7:30pm. For the rest of you, you can see Dave in his acting debut as a sax player (can you believe) on the October 24 ep of Desperate Housewives. My boy is multi-talented, y’all.

20 years in and I’m still a big fan. I urge y’all to check out his music. He’s pretty awesome.

I’m happy to report that my David is home safe and sound from his quick trip to Atlanta, GA. No plans for tonight … but I’m sure we’ll think of something fun to occupy our time.

Brad Pitt Joins Angelina Jolie On The Set Of Her New Film

Last week we got our first look at Brad Pitt and twin children Knox Léon and Vivienne Marcheline making their grand arrival in Hungary so that they could meet up with pseudo-wife and mommy Angelina Jolie, who is in Budapest directing her first film. Today we get to see a few photos of Brangelina reunited on the set of her film lookin’ as coupley as ever:


It’s unclear if Brad is in Hungary for the rest of Angelina‘s stay because he’s been filming a movie of his own here in SoCal in the past few weeks. If production has wrapped for him on Moneyball then he will likely stay with Ange and the kids in Budapest. But, it’s likely he will have to return to the US to get back to work at some point … meaning the lovebirds will have to be apart again. I have no idea how this supercouple manages to make their very bizzy lives work but it’s inspiring, I’ll give them that. It’s nice to see Brad being all supportive of his lady on the set of her directorial debut. He makes a great pseudo-hubby, don’tcha think?

Facebook Founder Mark Zuckerberg LOVES His Mandals

In recent weeks Facebook founder and billionaire Mark Zuckerberg has shown up in animated form on The Simpsons and on the cover of his very own comic book but today we get to see a photo of the usually press shy man himself out in public … in the flesh. Mark was spotted at the Farmer’s Market in Palo Alto, CA on Sunday with the love of his life … no, not his girlfriend Priscilla Chan … with his beloved plastic Adidas mandals:


Those of you who have seen The Social Network, the film that tells the tale of Zuckerberg‘s creation of Facebook, may recall that these mandals made a few cameos in the movie … so I guess we know for sure that at least that part of the film is real and true. And, I gotta say, I kinda love that despite the fact that the man has more money that he could spend in a lifetime he still likes to wear plastic shoes and shop at Abercrombie & Fitch. Keepin’ it real, yo … he’s keepin’ it real.

Hugh Jackman Celebrates His 42nd Birthday With His Family

In celebration of his 42nd birthday yesterday, hottie Hugh Jackman decided to spend part of his special day celebrating in the company of the most important ladies in his life … his wife Deborra-Lee and his daughter Ava Eliot. There is no question that Hugh loves spending time with his family, so it should come as no surprise to see him out and about with his wife and daughter … even on days when it’s not his birthday, Hugh seems very happy to spend all of his free time with his family. I’m certain that Hugh Jackman had a very Happy 42nd Birthday because he was able to spend it with his fam … but let’s send a little extra belated Birthday Lurve to one of our fave Hollywood hunks just in case ;)

Ashlee Simpson Shows Off A New Hair’Do

When last we saw Ashlee Simpson out and about (lookin’ a bit tipsy at the US Open tournament in NYC last month), she was sportin’ some pretty long locks. Yesterday, her husband Pete Wentz posted a cute pic of Ashlee showin’ off a new shorter hair’do on his official Twitter profile … one that I think looks much better than her older look:


When he posted this photo, Pete tweeted: “Cute hair mama!” … and I would have to agree. After Ashlee‘s new ‘do made it’s debut in the Twitterverse, she took it out on the town for a public showing. Check out a couple more photos of Ashlee showin’ off her cute new shorter hair’do, after the jump …


In all honesty, my fave Ashlee look was the longer jet black hair’do she rocked when she released her debut album all those years ago … but I can dig this cute short blonde ‘do. She looks fab, don’tcha think?

Watch: Video Promos For ‘Glee’s Homage To ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show’

Back in July we first learned that Glee was planning to do a episode devoted to the music of The Rocky Horror Picture Show and yesterday we got our first look at promo images from that ep. Today we get to see a couple of preview videos from the Rocky Horror ep that will air on Fox on October 26 … just in time for Hallowe’en:


Apparently there won’t be a new Glee ep shown next week so we’ll have to wait 2 weeks for the Rocky Horror ep, which is fine by me actually … it will make for the perfect Hallowe’en episode. Don’t the screencaps above look … enticing? Check out the video promos, after the jump …



Okay … yeah … I’m kinda excited to see this ep. I mean, not so much for the Rocky Horror-ness … mostly for the promise of shirtlessness. Hello, Mr. Schuster! This looks like it will be a very fun ep, don’t you think?

Christina Aguilera & Jordan Bratman Live Separate Lives

In the wake of yesterday’s big news that married couple Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman have decided to separate, new photos of the pair have come to light … new photos of the couple living their very separate lives. Xtina spent part of her day yesterday shopping for toys for her son Max Liron (she apparently got the young lad a bake set) while Jordy spent part of his day running around town doing errands … which included a visit to his attorney:


Since the couple have been living separate lives for some time now and only yesterday confirmed their split, none of this is news … but in light of the knowledge that the couple are on the outs, well, it’s just sad to see them not together. You may recall that in Xtina‘s official statement about the break-up yesterday she made no mention of any “officialness” concerning the split … but it does seem curious that Jordan would pay a visit to his attorney on the day news of his break-up with his wife was made public. While I would love to see this couple get back together, I think it’s far more important that things work themselves out for the best … which means, if Xtina and Jordy are not happy together, then maybe the split should become permanent. It’s always sad when a couple breaks up … but it would be far sadder to see them languish in an unhappy marriage, especially when that anguish could have lasting negative effects on the couple’s young son. Ugh, so sad.

Paris Hilton Gets Another Home Intruder

Back in August we learned that Paris Hilton, no stranger to the long arm of the law herself, awoke to the sounds of an intruder trying to break into her home in the early morning hours while wielding a knife. As you may recall, that man was first confronted by Paris‘s current boyfriend Cy Waits and then was apprehended by the police. Today we learn that another intruder tried to enter Paris‘s home yesterday as well. Thankfully, he too got busted by the cops and was taken into custody:

TMZ has obtained a photo of the man cops arrested at Paris Hilton’s L.A. home yesterday — moments after he allegedly snuck past a guard gate and tried to knock on her door. As TMZ first reported, the suspect — James Rainford — allegedly got into a physical altercation with private security after he rode his bike to Paris’ front door and began to ring her doorbell. LAPD soon arrived on scene and arrested the suspect for battery. We’re told Rainford told police that he “knew” Paris … though sources close to Hilton tell us she has never met this guy in her life. Rainford was held on $20,000 bail.

As you may also recall, Paris got arrested in Las Vegas, NV on charges of cocaine possession just a few days after her last intruder incident (you may recall that Paris and Cy took off to LV to get out of LA in an attempt to forget about that scary incident). Here’s hoping that Paris doesn’t foolishly get arrested again for any infractions in the wake of this failed intrusion attempt. Whatever your personal beliefs are about Paris Hilton, you have to admit that it is very good news that neither she nor anyone else has been injured or harmed in any way by these intrusion attempts.
