Shawn Carter knows how to dote on his granny. He and his wife Beyonce threw his grandma Hattie (pictured above at the Yankees game) a lavish 85th birthday bash this week--that included a Rolls Royce, fab eats, and dancing. According to the NY Post:

Jay-z is a good grandson. For the 85th birthday of his grandmother, Hattie, the Brooklyn-born hip-hop mogul and his wife, Beyoncé, picked her up in a Rolls-Royce and took her to the Liberty Warehouse in Red Hook, a space with stunning views of the Statue of Liberty. The guests were entertained by dancers from the Boys & Girls Club when they weren't dancing themselves or devouring the Southern cooking.

Sweet!

In other news, after we posted this interview of Nelly denying ever having a "relationship" with Ashanti, it spread on the net like wildfire. Now, Ashanti herself feels the need to throw in her two cents. She decided to co-sign everything Nelly said:

Sigh. Honestly kid, we don't believe you either. You need more people. But we just don't really care enough anymore--so all this protesting makes the situation even more lame. Just sayin'.

So what does Rih Rih wear for a casual stroll around the streets of Paris?

A pair a white floral sweater with a pink ruffled mini-skirt, no accessories but did add a very nice pair of cream pumps with a black ankle strap to complete the look.

Rih's red hair matched her fingernails. And she added her black shades and a thin pastel jacket.

Chingy Speaks Out About His Alleged Transexual Romps

The internet streets have been buzzing for a while now that rapper Chingy may have had a tryst with a transexual model. It's arguably the only buzz keeping his name in the mix. But he had to come out and respond to the rumors. See what he said inside...

Folks are saying that the St. Louis rapper has had a sexual relationship with transsexual model Sidney Star (above). But now Chingy is saying the rumors are false.

“That’s some straight bull–.” I had a show like two years ago. I had a show with Ludacris [in] Chicago. There were some dancers on the stage and these dancers were on the stage through everybody’s show. The person [Star] asked me to take a picture and I took a picture. The boy, whatever it is, asked me to take a picture. I’m not up there checking to see if it’s [a boy or girl]. It looked like a woman. I’m not looking to see no neck check and all that. I’m taking a picture with a fan.”

Chingy continued:

“I’m not homophobic, I don’t know what this person is.” “If you a fan of Chingy, I’mma take a picture with you – You got this person that took pictures with not just me but with a few other celebrities. But for some reason, they want to single me out and make it out like I’m messing with this person, sleeping with this person.”

But, Star claims she had sex with Chingy two years ago after a show. Star says she was invited to a hotel room, she revealed her gender change, and Chingy said, “Nah, I still want that. I still want that.” Um, who says that??

And this isn’t the first time Chingy has been accused of having relations with transsexuals. Last year, transsexual rapper Foxxjazzel said she got it in with the rapper.

To each his own. I mean, if you love chopping down trannys, then you aint gotta lie to kick it Chingy. I say let Chingy do Chingy and let people be who they really are...you know, if this is true....

UPDATE: Sidney Star plans to call into WGCI in Chicago this afternoon to put Chingy on blast. We will keep you posted about what happens and what is said.

Elsewhere in L.A., Halle Berry brought her Parisian boo Olivier Martinez back to her L.A. home. The two have been busy toting around his home and Europe while Halle promoted her new perfume. And now that they're back, she did girlfriend duty and took Olivier to the doctor yesterday:

He went in without a bandage.

But then came out with a bandage wrapped around his arm. The two stars, who have been spotted getting cozy with one another, are also co-stars in the upcoming film "Dark Tide". Take care of your cutie Halle...

A Mature Chris Brown Talks BET Breakdown, F.A.M.E., & Why He Won't Tour With Usher

Chris Brown was in New York City yesterday making his rounds where he stopped by BET's "106 & Park" 10-year anniversary and the Swatch event. And he still found the time to do an interview with Hot 97. We have highlights from the interview and the full video inside...

Chris Brown sat down for an interview with Angie Martinez over at Hot 97 yesterday where he came across very humble and mature. Thanking the audience for making his single "Deuces" a hit record, Breezy seemed surprised by the song's success.

When the issue of Usher came up, it was briefly met with dead silence. He made the point to mention that he and Usher do not have any problems and their main reason for not touring together was that it wasn't the right time financially. Their business managers/promoters could not come to an agreement.

Though he says it was a business decision, it led to a deeper conversation about being abandoned by certain industry peers and associates, which clearly has Chris on emotional guard. He made it clear that even though he is cordial to music industry people, he stays in his own lane with his crew.

He says his new tattoo which reads "FAME" is about "forgiving all my enemies" and being built up then torn down by the music industry. You can hear the pain in his voice and tell he's been through a rough time but clearly seems to have learned from it.

He also talks about his BET "moment" saying as he stood on stage and thought about the words of "Man In The Mirror" he could not hold back the tears during his Michael Jackson tribute.

We also hear he broke things off with Miss Dade County because she was more worried about getting pub for her rap career at Chris' expense than she was about him.

Forbes magazine just put out their rankings for the most powerful women in the world. YBF women received much deserved recognition and ranked high on the list. Find out who was #1, and who was amongst the rest of the top 10 rich and powerful, when you read on...

Forbes stated that they decided to look less into traditional titles and focus more on creative influence and entrepreneurship. First Lady Michelle Obama holds the #1 position on Forbes' Most Powerful Women In The World list. No surprises there. The mag describes her as a new age Jackie Kennedy, as she is a fashion icon, an athletic mother of two, and holds a law degree.

Other YBF chicks on the list--the real Queen of all media Lady O (#3) and the Queen of shutting down the pop star lane, Beyonce (#9).
