Yeah, the clip is short … but it’s a good tease, no? It’s unknown how long the full clip will be when it airs Sunday night but I hope it’s at least a minute-long. Oh man, the Twihards are going to go apeshizz when this new footage is released this weekend. As for this tiny sneak peek, what do you think? Do you love it?

‘Captain America: The First Avenger’ Releases 3 New Character Posters

Posted: 01 Jun 2011 05:30 PM PDT

It’s been quite a while since we got to see any promo stuff from Captain America: The First Avenger but right now we get to see 3 new character promo posters from the film. The First Avenger won’t hit theaters until the end of July but if you click below you can get a fresh look at Captain America, his ladylove Peggy Carter and his evil nemesis Red Skull.

Awesome posters … love the Red Skull one. As I understand it, The First Avenger will have a bit of a Raiders of the Lost Ark feel about it … in terms of action superhero films, it is likely to stand apart from the crowd. It remains to be seen if the film will be as big a hit as Thor was and Green Lantern is likely to be but … I love Capt. America so I’d like to see the film do well. These posters are fun, I can’t wait to see more promo stuff from the film.

Blake Lively Does ‘Glamour’ Magazine

Posted: 01 Jun 2011 04:30 PM PDT

Now that the matter of those fake nudie pics has been settled, how about we check out beautiful real photos of Gossip Girl/Green Lantern star Blake Lively on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Glamour magazine. In her coverstory interview conducted by Florence Welch, Blake talks about her new job with Chanel, her decision not to tweet, her style choices and more. Click below to see and hear from the lovely Miss Lively.

On Twitter: "People ask me why I don't tweet. Honestly, I'm so sick of myself."

On becoming the new face of Chanel's Mademoiselle handbag: "It's such an honor. When I found out I got [the job], you and I went to dinner and concocted this plan, like two little girls at a tea party, saying, "Oh, it would be the best if we had a party. And you'll perform, and we'll do it in Paris." Like you and I were in charge of Chanel!"

On being her own stylist: "I think I became my own stylist by not knowing any better. And once I was told it was time to get one, I thought: This is one of my favorite hobbies! And I'm going to pay someone to steal my hobby from me? That's a terrible idea!"

On getting ready for an event: "I like it to be easy. I don't feel like I have to do so much with hair and makeup, because I'm the mannequin for these beautiful clothes, so I never want to do anything too distracting. Most of the time, I put my hair in a ballerina bun, and I take it down and it's wavy, and then I leave. I feel shy when people are fussing on me. And my diet of choice before events is a chicken potpie from Tea & Sympathy, because they never have enough food at these things."

On breakups: "Every relationship you have, you're learning and growing and taking something from that. So for me, it's never been too dramatic of a thing when something ends."

I have to admit, I was fooled by those fake nudie pics but I am glad to know that Blake isn’t one of those dumb people moronic enough to share nekkid photos of themselves. She strikes me as such an intelligent and private person, I can’t imagine that she would be dumb enough to share nekkid photos. These Glamour shots are really beautiful. I, personally, would much rather enjoy photos of her all dressed up rather than all nekkid ;)

Watch: Possible New Viral Videos From ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Hit The Internets

Posted: 01 Jun 2011 03:30 PM PDT

A couple weeks ago we got our first look at the first official photo of Tom Hardy as Bane in the upcoming sequel film Batman: The Dark Knight Rises from a new viral campaign game from the film. This new viral campaign has been tagged #TheFireRises … and seems tied to a You Tube account by the same name that has been releasing short videos seemingly to promote the film. Click below to check out 2 videos that seem Bane-related from this new The Fire Rises viral campaign for The Dark Knight Rises.

The first clip looks to be a grainy news report from GCN (Gotham City News) about a breakout from Arkham Asylum:

The second clip seems to be surveillance footage from that breakout … you can hear the chant Bane mátalo, which is Spanish for Kill him, Bane:

It’s unknown if these videos are officially part of the Dark Knight Rises viral campaign or if they are just clever fan videos but one thing’s for sure … the next year is going to be chock full of these kinds of mysterious offerings. The Dark Knight Rises won’t hit theaters for over a year … let the games begin.

As for these videos … what do y’all think? Impressed?

First Look: Guillermo Del Toro Unleashes His Vision Of ‘Pinocchio’

Posted: 01 Jun 2011 02:30 PM PDT

Visionary film director Guillermo del Toro has teamed up with The Jim Henson Company to begin work on a new live action film adaptation of the classic story of Pinocchio. Based on the picture book authored by Carlo Collodi and illustrated by Gris Grimly, del Toro‘s vision of Pinocchio looks to put a dark spin on the classic tale … which, if you’re a fan of del Toro‘s amazing films, should come as no surprise at all. Click below to check out a photo of what Guillermo del Toro‘s Pinocchio will look like in this new film.

Produced by The Jim Henson Company and Guillermo Del Toro, the next movie version of Pinocchio has some serious geek credentials right out of the gate. I also expect that it will make something of a fan hero out of its director, Gris Grimly, building on the love already earnt with his wonderful books. One of those books, published in 2002, was an illustrated version of Carlo Collodi's Pinocchio. Some years later, and Grimly's film is getting ready to speed into full-on production. There's no casting news, yet, but we do at least know that the puppets are going to be splendidly well built. Grimly has tweeted that MacKinnon and Saunders, the world's premiere stop-motion doll fabricators, are doing the builds of his characters. He also went on to provide our first image of his Pinocchio in the flesh wood. While this isn't an actual puppet that will be animated in the film, it is built to the same model but as a non-articulated maquette, providing something the producers can show potential distributors.

Wow! This is going to RULE ALL!! I am a HUGE del Toro fan (my fave film being Pan’s Labyrinth) and I know he will do an excellent job bringing Pinocchio to life in this new film. I understand that Nick Cave is overseeing the music that will accompany this film … which only makes this news all the more kickass. I love this first look at Pinocchio … this is one film that I will deffo be on the look-out for.

Watch: Rihanna, ‘Man Down’

Posted: 01 Jun 2011 01:30 PM PDT

Rihanna has unleashed a new music video for her song Man Down — the latest single released from her album Loud — and in the vid, Ri Ri is seen shooting a man dead after he physically assaults her. To be honest, the song itself has a lighthearted feel to it … one that doesn’t seem to match the violence featured in the clip. Check it out below.

You know, I’ve heard the song many times and yes, she does talk about exerting revenge on a man in the song but, again, the upbeat, sing/songiness of the track makes Man Down sound … happy? I dunno how to describe it. The video is interesting, it starts out with the shooting and then tells the story of what led up to the shooting. The alternating of pretty scenes with the violence is obviously intentional. I honestly don’t know if I like the video or not. After watching this video, I can’t help but think about the physical attack that Chris Brown unleashed on her a couple of years ago … that incident can’t not have been on her mind when she made this video. HMMM. What do you think of this video for Man Down?

The Boy With The ‘Dragon Tattoo’ Book

Posted: 01 Jun 2011 12:55 PM PDT

As I hoped, last night turned out to be a very quiet night for me. David and I ordered in food, I played some records and overall just chilled the eff out. Lykke Li performed a concert at The Wiltern last night and I *almost* went … but since I have tix to see her later in the Summer, I decided to take a night off from concerts and just relax. Inspired by the amazing new trailer for the US version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, I decided to read the original books by Stieg Larrson … finally.

Now, I just started reading so I haven’t gotten to any part of the book that is unrecognizable to be just yet (ie. different from the Swedish film version) but I understand that the Swedish films that have been made on the books are different from the original source material. I’m really curious to read the original stories … which I’ve been meaning to do for over a year now. I LOVE the Swedish films and I am really looking forward to the US films … but it is generally the case that no film can ever truly do any book justice. So … I will be spending the next few weeks with Larsson‘s words as I get hyped up for the release of the US version of Dragon Tattoo this Summer.

Tonight, I think David and I will be hanging out with our friend Emma … but I’m hoping for another quiet night. It’s June, Summer is nearly here … life is so good right now :) Happy Wednesday!

Justin Bieber Gives Selena Gomez A Foot Rub

Posted: 01 Jun 2011 11:06 AM PDT

When last we saw Justin Bieber in the close company of Selena Gomez, he was groping her butt for all the world to see. Today, we get to see another personal photo of Justena that has been shared on Twitter. In this new photo, Bieber is giving Selena a foot rub as the couple lounges together on the couch. I’m not sure but my guess is that rabid Bieber fangirls will literally lose their shizz at the sight of such loving Justena bliss.

She coped the wrath of Justin Bieber’s devoted fans last week by receiving a slew of death threats after she was seen kissing and cavorting with him in Hawaii. But it seems that Selena Gomez is not fazed by the jealous hate campaign launched against her by her boyfriend’s fans. The 18-year-old Disney star once again got up close and personal with the 17-year-old teen sensation. This time Selena, dressed in a very short mini-dress, was snapped with her bare legs draped over Justin, whilst he lovingly gave her a foot message. In the picture … posted on Twitter, Justin bares his chest wearing just a pair of trousers and a baseball camera. Smirking into the camera lens, the teenager poses as Selena lies back enjoying the foot rub.

LOL! I love these two together. I mean, not really but I am really entertained by the notion that these sorts of photos are driving young girls wild with jealous rage. Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are the new Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears … let’s just hope that this relationship will end on better terms than the JT and Britney‘s relationship did. Kissing one day, butt grabbing the next … now foot rubbing. I wonder what other kind of fun these two will be getting into next.

Justin Timberlake Talks Britney Spears To ‘Vanity Fair’ Magazine

Posted: 01 Jun 2011 10:23 AM PDT

Justin Timberlake sat down for an interview with Vanity Fair magazine and among the topics discussed, JT opened up about his ex-girlfriend Britney Spears. Back in the day, Britney and Justin were THE young celebrity couple that ruled the pop music scene and now, all these years after their time together, Justin is opening up a wee bit about that time of his life. Read on to hear what JT has to say about our dear Britney Spears.

Of his arguably most famous ex-girlfriend, Britney Spears, Timberlake tells Grigoriadis, "I wish her the best—that goes without saying. We haven't spoken in 9 or 10 years." The former child star says that most of his and Spears's relationship was based on circumstance, but had no chance for the long term. "We were two birds of the same feather—small-town kids, doing the same thing. But then you become adults, and the way you were as kids doesn't make any sense. I won't speak on her, but at least for me, I was a totally different person," he says. "I just don't think we were normal; there was nothing normal about our existence. We spent way too much time being the biggest thing for teenyboppers." "It was exciting that we were having so much success and we could do whatever we wanted. And I mean that about everybody: Backstreet Boys, 'NSync, Britney, Christina," Timberlake says of his early years as a pop idol. "At that time, we could literally go, 'Oh, man, let's go to Bali,' and we'd be on a plane to Bali. We were little kids with big toys. You do the math—that's not going to last." Some very big toys, indeed, as Timberlake recalls that on the set of The All-New Mickey Mouse Club, "Ryan [Gosling] and I used to steal golf carts and go driving in the middle of the park to get milk shakes, and we never got in trouble for it. We thought we were big shit."

Man … those were the days. I used to think it was so odd that these pop celebrities of the late 90s/early 00s didn’t’ keep in touch over the years but I imagine it’s very much like a high school thing for them. I surely don’t keep in touch with many of the people I went to high school with even tho we spent all those years together and were very much friends back then. It is a bit sad to think that JT and Britney haven’t spoken in about 10 years. They were the perfect couple but, alas, it wasn’t meant to be. I do love Justin for staying classy and for finally having Britney‘s back. That group of young celebs really went thru a lot. It’s nice to see them all grown up as fairly reasonable adults.

Kylie Minogue Is Releasing 2 EPs For Her Single ‘Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel Love)’

Posted: 01 Jun 2011 09:58 AM PDT

Kylie Minogue is celebrating the successful completion of her Aphrodite Live 2011 North American Tour with the release of two new EPs for her new unofficial single Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel Love). The EPs will include live versions of the track, remix versions of the track and a previously unheard b-side song titled Silence. Click below to see the album artwork and read all the deets about the new Kylie EPs.

International Pop superstar Kylie Minogue celebrates her enormously successful North American ‘Aphrodite Live’ tour with the June 7th release of two brand new EPs, "Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel Love)" and "Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel Love)" – The Remixes. One of the most energetic, dancefloor-ready songs from Kylie’s globally acclaimed album Aphrodite, "Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel Love)" is a massive fan favorite and another summer club anthem in the making. EP1 features the album version, a vibrant live version recorded at the O2 Arena in London, veteran studio maven Pete Hammond’s Remix, Basto's Major Mayhem Edit and a huge treat for the Kylie faithful, a brand new unreleased track, "Silence," which was co-written with Aphrodite producer Stuart Price. EP2 consists of five different remixes including the NERVO Hands Up Extended Club Mix, remixed by Australian twin sisters NERVO, the DJ/producer duo who co-wrote the song for Kylie. The genesis for these EP’s was a lyric video that Kylie placed on her YouTube channel as a thank you to fans for the support of the song during the live shows on the European leg of the tour. The music bed contains a special retro-flavored remix done by Pete Hammond, an engineer who worked on some of Kylie’s earliest hits, and has become highly sought after by her international fanbase. Kylie wrapped the U.S. leg of the tour on May 22nd at the legendary Colosseum at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. The North American leg, her most extensive outing in the region to date, began on April 28th in Montreal and featured shows in 11 U.S. cities including a 3-night stint at New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom. Kylie then played to a 10,000 person crowd at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles and visited three cities in Mexico. Aphrodite Live’s spectacular production wowed fans and critics at each stop along the way.

EP1Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel Love)

1. Album Version
2. Pete Hammond Remix
3. Basto’s Major Mayhem Edit
4. Live From Aphrodite/Les Folies
5. Silence

EP2Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel Love) The Remixes

1. NERVO Hands Up Extended Club Mix
2. Basto’s Major Mayhem Mix
3. Basto’s Major Mayhem Dub
4. Bimbo Jones Remix
5. Pete Hammond Remix Edit

I love this Pete Hammond remix of the track … it’s such an old skool throw back to that early Kylie sound that we all fell in love with in the late 80′s. I would buy these EPs for that remix alone … the fact that we get an entirely new song written and produced by Stuart Price is just the ICING on the cake:

I have loved this Aphrodite era of Kylie music … so I’m really bummed that it is coming to an end. Kylie has said in recent interviews that she is not planning to record a new album anytime soon so … we have to enjoy the new Kylie music we are getting right now. These EPs will be released next week! Can’t wait!!

Rihanna Talks Twitter With ‘Cosmopolitan’ Magazine

Posted: 01 Jun 2011 09:33 AM PDT

Popstar Rihanna — who is just everywhere these days — is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Cosmopolitan magazine. In her coverstory interview, not yet available online, Ri Ri talks about her initial hatred and then eventual love of Twitter. Click below to see Rihanna‘s new Cosmo cover and read what she has to say about her hate/love relationship with Twitter.

“I was so against Twitter. I couldn’t understand how people were supposed to care what I was doing at any given moment. Then I started to figure out you can treat it like a giant chat room: I can respond directly to people’s questions. It makes it easier to deal with the flak around you because now people have a sense of who you are.”

Wise words from her Rihannaness. I’ve always been a fan of Twitter, primarily because once you have a good group of friends sharing tweets back and forth you don’t need to follow anyone else. Now that Twitter is such a phenomenon and almost everyone is using it, it is now a resource for breaking news. BUT … I’m digressing. Rihanna looks lovely on this magazine cover. I’m still not totally crazy about the red hair but it does look much lovelier now that it’s longer. She looks good, don’t she?

Listen: Beyoncé, ‘Best Thing I Never Had’

Posted: 01 Jun 2011 08:31 AM PDT

Last week we got our first listen of the new Beyoncé song 1 + 1 and it was believed that the track would be the second official single release from her new album 4, due out at the end of June. Today we learn that 1 + 1 will NOT be the next official single (despite the fact that the song has been released for sale on iTunes already). Instead, the song Best Thing I Never Had has been chosen as the official second single from the album … and you can listen to it in full below.

The song is ok … I guess. Beyoncé‘s vocals sound fantastic but … there is nothing special about the track at all. To be honest, it sounds like an album track from one of Bey‘s older albums … you know, the ones you hear once and then skip over every other time you listen to the album? Thematically, Best Thing I Never Had sounds like it wants to be like the song Irreplaceable but without the same catchy hook. I don’t hate the song but it just doesn’t grab me. IMHO, the first singles from new albums should be high energy club-bangers. Upbeat songs are great on the radio. I dunno … what do y’all think? Do you like this song as a second single?

First Look: Josh Hutcherson Surfaces On The Set Of ‘The Hunger Games’

Posted: 01 Jun 2011 08:02 AM PDT

Last week we got our first look at Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss Everdeen) and Liam Hemsworth (Gale Hawthorne) on the North Carolina set of The Hunger Games and today we get our first look at the third person of the Hunger Games love triangle on set as well. Josh Hutcherson, who has been cast to play Peeta Mellark, popped up on set yesterday alongside Paula Malcomson (who plays Katniss‘s mother) and Elizabeth Banks (who plays Effie Trinket). Check out the photos below.

There has been huge demand for our first look of Josh as Peeta and … well … here it is. I have been very excited by all of the casting that has been done for The Hunger Games, including the fantastic news that Donald Sutherland has been cast to play President Snow, but I’m still not wowed at all by Hutcherson‘s casting. I know I am not alone in the belief that Hunter Parrish looks like he would be the perfect Peeta Mellark. BUT … I am willing to give Hutcherson a chance to wow me … eventually. These photos also give us our first look at Paula Malcomson on set as Katniss and Prim‘s mother and Elizabeth Banks in costume as Effie Trinket. I wonder who else we will see popping up on set soon.

Watch: The Green Band Trailer For The US Version Of ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’ Is Released

Posted: 01 Jun 2011 07:34 AM PDT

Last Saturday we got our very first look at the David Fincher-directed US version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo when the red band trailer for the movie leaked its way to the Internets. Today, we get to see the green band (ie. no nudity) trailer for Dragon Tattoo in all its glory. This trailer is much clearer and the sound is more perfected … which is good because the Nine Inch Nails version of the Led Zeppelin song Immigrant Song (with Karen O. on vocals) sounds even better in this version of the trailer. Check it out below.

Honestly, you’d be hard pressed to find the differences between the red band trailer and this green band trailer … to my knowledge, there is only one scene that is different and that, of course, is the scene where Lisbeth Salander (played by Rooney Mara) takes off her top and bares her breasts. I’m not even kidding you … I’ve been watching the red band, leaked trailer over and over and over again ever since it made its way online. The movie looks amazing, yes, but I am OBSESSED with the NIN/Karen O. cover of Immigrant Song. That song used to scare me when I was a little kid … something about the screaming really freaked me out. But this version, oh man, LOVE IT! I am really excited for this film … but I am DYING for the Trent Reznor composed soundtrack. Enjoy the trailer … nothing like a little Girl with the Dragon Tattoo to get the day started off right.
