Mike Tyson’s Tattooist Threatens To Stop Release Of The Hangover 2

Mike Tyson’s Tattooist Threatens To Stop Release Of The Hangover 2

Mike Tyson’s tattooist has sued Warner Bros over the tattoo on Ed Helms’ character in the upcoming The Hangover: Part II.

Award-winning tattoo artist, S. Victor Whitmill, calls the Tyson design “one of the most distinctive tattoos in the nation,” is asking for an injunction to stop the release of The Hangover 2 sequel, set U.S. release over Memorial Day weekend.

“When Mr. Whitmill created the Original Tattoo, Mr Tyson agreed that Mr. Whitmill would own the artwork and thus, the copyright in the Original Tattoo,” argues the complaint, filed Thursday in federal court in Missouri and obtained by THR. “Warner Bros. Entertainment, Inc. — without attempting to contact Mr. Whitmill, obtain his permission, or credit his creation — has copied Mr. Whitmill’s Original Tattoo and placed it on the face of another actor … This unauthorized exploitation of the Original Tattoo constitutes copyright infringement.”

Naturally, Warner Bros declined to comment on the suit.

I originally thought, that the claim had no ground, but Iron Mike signing rights to Whitmill puts a different light on the matter. Conversely, the fact that the tattoo is used in a comedy would indicate that Warner Bros could argue that it is nothing more then a parody, which would appear to be the real intent.

Of course, whatever the outcome, Whitmill’s name has now gained exposure to a much wider audience, which should do wonders for his business.

Lip Reader Tells Us What Was Really Said At The Royal Wedding

Posted: 30 Apr 2011 11:40 AM PDT

royal-wedding-lip-reader.jpg

This is cool!

Professional lip reader, Tina Lannin, who was born deaf, was able to catch all the private whispers that were exchanged between Prince William, Catherine, Harry, and Queen Elizabeth II during the royal wedding.

Wanna know what they really said to each other??

Here's a transcript of what was said:

10:20 a.m. – Prince William: "Looking forward to it." To Harry, "shall we go in then?

Prince Harry: "Sure, everyone has arrived."

William (to Bishop): "Make sure everything's alright. It's beautiful the way it is."

10:25 a.m. – William to lady in congregation: "You look very pretty, very pretty."

10:55 a.m. – Michael Middleton to Kate Middleton as they left hotel: "You okay?"

11:00 a.m. – Pippa Middleton to sister Kate: "You look amazing."

And there's more!

Michael Middleton to Kate Middleton as they entered Westminster Abbey: "You okay?"

Kate Middleton to her father: "Yeah."

11:05 a.m. – Kate to Bishop before walking down the aisle: "Yes I suppose so … I expect I'll be worn out today. Thank you."

Harry to William: "Right, here she is now."

William to Middleton at the altar: "You look lovely …(unclear)… You look beautiful."

William joking to Michael Middleton: "We're supposed to have just a small family affair."

12:00 a.m. – Queen Elizabeth II to Prince Philip: "It was excellent."

Prince Philip: "Yes?"

12:15 a.m. – William to Kate Middleton: "Alright?"

Kate Middleton: "Yes."

William: "Wish I was out."

Kate Middleton: "I'm beginning to find (unclear)."

William: "Yeah, alright." Hands bouquet to Kate after they climb aboard their carriage, "here you are."

Kate Middleton: "Thank you."

Kate Middleton: "Now, are you happy?"

William: "Yes … (unclear conversation) … wave to everybody."

Outside abbey – queen: "I wanted them to take the smaller carriage."

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall: "It all went very well."

Queen: "Very well."

In wedding carriage – William: "I don't think you should bow quite yet. I think you should just bow your head, okay?"

Kate Middleton: "Okay."

William: "I hope I remember … It's mad, it's mad! Oh my goodness it … really loudly here (unclear) these people are clapping."

Kate Middleton: "Did they?"

William: "I think so. I went out here the first (unclear)."

In separate carriage – Prince Charles: "Yeah it looked nice."

Camilla: "Yes, but you have to know how to do it."

In wedding carriage – Kate Middleton to William: "You look happy."

1:30 p.m – On Buckingham Palace balcony, Kate Middleton: "Oh wow."

William: "Alright? You'll be okay?"

Kate Middleton: "Oh I'm fine, thank you."

William: "Yeah! Yeah! There's a lot of people down here." To pageboys, "I know but look up there as well." To his bride: "Okay? Look at me, let's kiss, okay."

William, shouting balcony: "Harry! Your go!"

Kate Middleton: "What's next?"

William: "They want more time I think."

William shouting across balcony, possibly to Camilla: "You could have brought up (unclear) as well."

Camilla: "Oh, very heavy."

William: "Just do a bit of everything. Do you like the balloons (unclear) they go up in the air."

Kate Middleton: "Look at these people."

William: "I want to see the plane, I think I'm (unclear)."

William to Harry: "Okay."

William to pageboys: "…to stop them coming in here, to stop them coming in this side, I mean it's hard."

William to Kate Middleton: "One more." The couple kiss for a second time. "That's it, come on!"

LOLz!

Tisk tisk!

Bruce Willis and Demi Moore's daughter Tallulah Belle Willis, 17, was busted for alcohol possession Friday night.

Tallulah and two of her fellow underaged friends were caught holding two bottles of alcohol while getting out of a car in Hollywood around 11 p.m.

Because of Tallulah's age, the cops had to call her 'rents. Bruce got the call, but Demi was the lucky one to pick up her daughter.

Awk-ward! That's a call that no kid wants their parents to get.

This is the first time we've heard about Tallulah getting in trouble. Let's hope this was just a one-time mistake!

In her attempt to "accept responsiblity" and "move on," LiLo will be pleading no contest next week in the stolen necklace case.

She's already been sentenced to 120 days in jail and 480 hours of community service for her probation violation, however, her lawyer, Shawn Holley, wants to make sure that Lindsay will not receive any additional time.

A spokesperson for the L.A. County says that Lindsay will most likely serve about three weeks of her sentenced jail time.

Let's just hope that no matter how much time Lindsay spends in jail, she's FINALLY learned her lesson this time.

billions-watch-the-royal-wedding.jpg

We knew the royal wedding was going to be huge, but this is incredible!!

Over 3 billion people watched William and Catherine, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, wed on Friday.

Viewers all over the world held parties and special events in honor of the festivities, with some fans staying up all night to celebrate in local bars.

In London, a million people lined the route of the royal procession. An additional 500,000 gathered in front of Buckingham Palace to watch the bride and groom kiss on the balcony.

Thankfully, Wills and Kate gave them quite a show with a double kiss!

Their big day became one of the most-watched TV broadcasts in the UK, with more than 24 million viewers tuning in.

As hoped, the royal wedding quite possibly brought in a "renewed era of optimism" for the country.

Spending the day celebrating, Natalie Hawkins of West Sussex remarked, "…Today has turned me into a total royalist."

That speaks for all of us!

With such an exciting and momentous occasion, it seems the world was absolutely smitten with the royal family on Friday.

So…did U watch the royal wedding??

Vampire Diaries Season 3 Spoilers!

Posted: 30 Apr 2011 09:00 AM PDT

Season 3 spoilers

You've been warned. Spoilers ahead!

Executive producer of The Vampire Diaries, Julie Plec, is referring to season 3 as the "Season of Originals".

Sounds like Klaus and Elijah will be playing a bigger role in the series starting this September.

As for the rest of the cast THIS SEASON, Plec revealed:

"All I've ever said is that there will be some severe and tragic consequences, and that the loss of life will be extreme over the last couple of episodes."

No word on who or how many characters may be saying bye-bye, but she continued:

"We set this ritual in motion early on, and it needs several sacrificial elements, so if that happens - and when it happens, and if it goes off without a hitch - there will be a lot of loss of life."

Michael Trevino, who returned to last night's episode as Tyler, offered some insight into his character's fate, saying:

"I don't know where they're going to go with Tyler in Season 3, but there have to be some [more] changes. Hopefully we can get into explaining what he was doing when he was gone, and who was he involved with."

Sounds like Tyler made the cut, but only time will tell as Plec ominously added:

"We do have ways of letting our audience see their fan favorites again, over time."

Okay, so pretty much anybody is game to go bye-bye.

What characters do U think will be killed off by the end of the season?

FOX Pulls Family Guy, American Dad, and Cleveland Show Hurricane Themed Episodes

Posted: 30 Apr 2011 08:20 AM PDT

Family Guy Offensive

Smart move, FOX!

Due to the tragic storms that swept through six southern states, killing almost 300 people, FOX has pulled Sunday night's planned cross-over episodes of Family Guy, American Dad, and The Cleveland Show which see a hurricane come to town.

Replacing the new episodes with repeats, the crossover event will instead air next spring with the remainder of the season's episodes for each respective series continuing to air as planned.

The epic hurricane episodes were written 18 months ago and were called an "enormous challenge" by Seth MacFarlane.

That's a bummer fans will have to wait another year to see these episodes, but given the horrible circumstances, we think the network made a good choice.

Are U glad that the stormy episodes won't air this week?

5 Things to Know About Pippa Middleton

Posted: 30 Apr 2011 10:35 AM PDT

Although most of yesterday’s royal wedding coverage focused – as it should have – on the bride and groom, many people couldn’t help but notice the young woman in the white dress who was carrying Princess Catherine‘s train. That young woman was Catherine’s younger sister, Pippa Middleton, who will be a lady-in-waiting in the royal court. So, what do you need to know about her?

1. Pippa is a nickname.

Her actual first name is Philippa, but she goes by Pippa with her friends. (Still, for all of you who think that she and Prince Harry would make a cute couple, Princess Philippa does have a nice ring to it.)

2. She and her sister have always been close.

Just two years apart, Kate and Pippa have always gotten along well and done things together. In order to be closer to Kate, who was attending the University of St. Andrews, Pippa went to college at the University of Edinburgh. In addition to being the maid of honor at Kate’s wedding, Pippa was reportedly involved in the planning and details.

3. She might be in a relationship.

Since last year, Pippa has been in a relationship with Alex Loudon, a former cricket star who is now studying for a graduate degree in business. Neither of them have confirmed the relationship on the record, though.

4. She works for her family’s company.

Carole and Michael Middleton made their fortune with a company they founded called Party Pieces. It’s a mail-order company where people can order supplies and decorations for events. Although Pippa didn’t start out working for Party Pieces, when the company kept growing she left her job to come work with her parents.

5. She loves designer clothes.

Pippa is often photographed by British society papers. Like her sister, her dress for the wedding was designed by Alexander McQueen creative director Sarah Burton, and she switched into a seafoam-green gown by Alice Temperley for the reception.

Which Royal Wedding Brother Is Hotter: Prince Harry or James Middleton?

Posted: 30 Apr 2011 11:15 AM PDT

If yesterday’s selection of royal wedding eye candy showed us anything, it’s that such world occasions really bring out the eligible bachelors. But two clear favorites have emerged – Prince Harry (pictured, on the left) and Kate’s brother James Middleton (right). So who would you rather date? Let’s examine the stats:

HARRY (age 26)

  • Probably won’t be King, but if you marry him you’ll get to be a Princess.
  • Has been criticized in the past for wearing a Nazi outfit to a costume party.
  • Is a captain in the British army. Translation: wears a uniform.
  • He chose to go to a military academy instead of college.
  • Is a London native.
  • May or  may not have a girlfriend, Chelsy Davy, but the two break up as much as they’re together.

JAMES (age 23)

  • Definitely won’t be king, and since he doesn’t have a title marrying him will just make you a Mrs.
  • Has been known to wear dresses for fun.
  • Works for his parents’ party-planning company, as sister Kate did and sister Pippa still does. He is also reportedly launching several companies of his own.
  • He attended college for awhile but dropped out, preferring to work.
  • Grew up in Bucklebury, Berkshire.
  • Is unattached. Rather than bring a date, he accompanied his mom Carole, since dad Michael was busy giving the bride away.

'Wilfred' Is a Dog, So Why Does Elijah Wood See Him as a Man?

Posted: 30 Apr 2011 11:23 AM PDT

Wilfred is a new television show. It is airing on FX in June. It features a suicidal Elijah Wood. Next door to Suicidal Elijah Wood is a woman with a dog. The world, by and large, sees the dog as a dog. Suicidal Elijah Wood, however, sees it as a man in a dog suit. The dog, by the way, is called Wilfred.

Does this baffle anyone else as much as it baffles me?

In the words of Eddie Izzard, I just want to have been in the room when they were working that one through.

I’ve actually just discovered that Wilfred was originally an Australian show that’s getting an American remake. I’ll be interested to see if it’ll work; American remakes of foreign television shows have a history of not going so well. Consider, for example, the extremely short-lived Viva Laughlin. Classified as a “musical-dramady,” Viva Laughlin featured an inexplicable jukebox musical format wherein characters would often burst out into song. But the weirdest part wasn’t the singing; it was that these musical sequences were done simply by having the actors sing over the original recordings of the songs in question. Weird, right? I know. That’s probably why it tanked. Here’s the thing, though: Viva Laughlin was based off of the British show Blackpool. I’ve seen Blackpool. It’s surprisingly enjoyable. And also, if I’d seen it before the creation of Viva Laughlin and someone had told me they were going to adapt it for American television, you know what I would have said? “That’s NEVER going to work.”

I understand the impulse to take these sorts of shows and remake them for American television. I do. They’re popular in their home countries and they’re remarkably unique ideas, so why not try to bring something like that to the States? Here’s the thing, though: I’m not surprised that the Brits came up with Blackpool. I’m not surprised that the Australians came up with Wilfred. American audiences are willing to watch these incredibly strange concepts in their original form because they have the veil of “Oh, how quirkily British!” (or whatever) to add to their mystique. They’re quaint. They’re a little wacky. And they’re from somewhere else. So of course we love them. They become much less interesting when they’re shoved through the American television system and just become weird instead.

Of course, this is by no means a rule, and even if it were, there are most certainly exceptions, The Office being the most notable; but it’s also worth noting that The Office only hit its stride after it stopped trying to be the British version and allowed itself to evolve into something of its own. So maybe the American Wilfred will surprise me. I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt until I see it for myself. But it could go either way. Who knows?

Video: Kate Hudson and Ginnifer Goodwin Dance to Salt-n-Pepa in 'Something Borrowed'

Posted: 29 Apr 2011 03:00 PM PDT

Somehow, this cliche of casually brekaing into a perfectly-choreographed dance scene has found its way into a dozen romantic comedies. And yet, there’s something endearing about Ginnifer Goodwin and Kate Hudson‘s characters in Something Borrowed reenacting their sixth-grade talent show rendition of Salt-n-Pepa‘s “Push It.” My only question: Would you really have a dance party with your best friend after you’ve slept with her fiance? That said, Goodwin can  get down like the best of them.
