Kanye West Cancels On Oprah Via Email?!

Posted: 06 Oct 2010 09:10 AM PDT

In case you missed it...

While other celebs would give their first born and reveal their deepest darkest secrets for a shot at sitting on Oprah's couch, Kanye West has so much going on that supposedly he can afford to cancel on the talk show mogul....via email!  Find out the deets inside.....

<!--break-->

According to In Touch magazine, HARPO producers made arrangements for Kanye West to perform at a rooftop location while Oprah Winfrey herself “was going to ask Kanye everything” in the interview segment. Then, with no explanation, Kanye allegedly cancelled via email.  An insider says that “Oprah is not happy” over the cancellation because “all the arrangements had been made.”

Now...since he joined twitter (@KanyeWest), Kanye has overshared about every facet of his life. Yet...no mention of the Oprah cancellation. Interesting.

It's not confirmed to be 100% true yet, but all I know is, you DO NOT cancel on O.  Ever.

FOOLYWANG: Drake Openly Chats It Up With Mary Jane In Miami?!

Posted: 06 Oct 2010 08:30 AM PDT

Hip-hop star Drake may have been caught chatting with Mary Jane while at a club last month, as seen on pictures that have found their way online.  See more when you go inside...

<!--break-->

The Canadian rapper kicked off his “Lights, Dreams and Nightmares” tour in Miami on September 20th, and apparently got the party cracking Rick James style when he later hit Miami Beach hotspot Liv Nightclub in the Fontainebleau Hotel.  Sources say the rapper openly lit up a joint...and folks just happened to snap photos of it going down.

“I was sitting in the VIP section right next to Drake and he lit up a joint and began to smoke it freely,” a source told RadarOnline.com.  “The whole area smelled like weed!”

When contacted, Drake's reps had no response as to whether Drake violated a Florida State law banning smoking in restaurants, bars and nightclubs.  But seeing that the "green" isn't legal in Florida, we know what law he did violate.  Sadly...with all these rappers busting out loads of weapons and cocaine...we're thankful a joint is all it was.

But let's not so blatantly break the law next time.  You know they're watching you and your crew.  Hope Drake isn't trying to end in Miami's version of Rikers Island with an old-school Rick Ross as his corrections officer.

Boris Kodjoe: I'm OVER The Whole Sex Symbol Thing!

Posted: 06 Oct 2010 07:42 AM PDT

Sexy actor Boris Kodjoe is tired of you lusting after his face and body and not appreciating him for the acting skills he has. *eyebrow raised*  In a recent interview, he says exactly how he feels about being treated like a pretty piece of meat.  Oh the drama when you go inside....

<!--break-->

Taking a break from promoting his new show "Undercovers" airing on NBC, Mr. Kodjoe told AOL's Blackvoices that it is time people start talking more about his acting skills and less about his pecs.  He says this, even though he is shirtless at least every 20 mins on his hour long show....not that we mind.

"Over the past few years, it's been more of a hindrance in that I had to really work ten times as hard to establish myself and prove to people that I'm more than that.  Sometimes, I think the sex symbol thing is overshadowing the fact that I've worked my butt off. I can't worry about how people perceive me."

But Boris hopes his new role as Steven Bloom, a former spy who comes out of retirement to solve a case, will be the role to show fans how far he can stretch as an actor.  He does all of his own stunts, and tries to play up the elements of action, comedy, drama and romance written into the scripts.

"Steven Bloom is probably closer to me as a person than a lot of the other characters I've played. He's a very worldly person, an athlete, he wasn't as far-fetched as other characters I played."

Many critics have focused on the novelty of the show's two leading characters being a black couple, yet Boris says it was colorblind casting on part of creator J.J. Abrams, "...it just happened to work out that way."

"J.J. just told me I was the guy for the part and that was really refreshing and traditionally that's not the case in TV and film.  The world is multicultural and diverse but it hasn't been [shown that way on TV and film] in the past but it definitely is an important show because it shows that's what the world looks like."

And if you didn't know, Boris is also into the fashion game promoting his custom-made, yet reasonably priced clothing line, Alfa. And, of course he's very into being a father and husband to Nicole Kodjoe and their kids.

"My wife and my kids are the most important thing for me in life.  As long as I'm true to my family that is where my happiness and joy lies in life. Everything else will fall into place automatically," he said.

Some flicks from the latest episode of his show for the road:

Oh Boris.  Alright then y'all.  Keep your eyes about his neckline and get into the Denzel-esque flavor he believes he's giving us.  Nothing to see here...nothing to see.

CHEETAH FACE-OFF: Rocsi VS. Jeanette Jenkins

Posted: 05 Oct 2010 04:22 PM PDT

BET's Rocsi Diaz and Queen Latifah's "lady friend" Jeanette Jenkins rocked the exact same dress the exact same weekend.  Decide who ran it best when you read on...

<!--break-->

Rocsi wore this hot and fitted cheetah print dress by Torn (and designed by Robbie Kobo) to the Belvedere Vodka Party at the Gold Room in Atlanta Friday night.  She paired her dress with a pop of color--purple suede ankle strapped pumps.  A black and silver studded clutch, minimal jewelry and long tresses completed her look.

And celebrity trainer Jeanette Jenkins rocked the dress just one day after Rocsi at the 2010 BET Hip Hop Awards.  She paired her curve hugging Torn dress with silvery white Casadei stilleto pumps and a black and silver studded clutch that also looked like exactly like Rocsi's.  So...

Lawyer Wants Dwyane Wade's Ex-Wife Sent To Psychiatrist?!

Posted: 05 Oct 2010 10:00 AM PDT

While Dwyane Wade was kicking it in Miami with his new boo Gabrielle Union, the lawyer appointed to his kids has asked the courts to force ex-wife, Siohvaughn Wade, to get a psychiatric evaluation.   Find out the deets when you go inside...

<!--break-->

In documents filed in Chicago, Lester L. Barclay, the attorney representing Wade's children in his custody battle with Siohvaughn, says "there is a question as to the mental condition and violent tendencies" of Siohvaughn Wade.

TMZ reports that Lester claims Siohvaughn's testimony revealed a history of extreme violence and he believes she has "homicidal" and "suicidal" tendencies.  SMH.

So Lester has asked to courts to place the Wade's two children with Dwyane and force Siohvaughn to undergo a psychiatric evaluation with a court-approved psychiatrist while their custody battle continues.

Wow...that's pretty intense.  Of course we want the best for the children.  But if this -ish does go down, think about how Siohvaughn is going to pop-off knowing Gabrielle Union is tucking her babies in at night...
