DIDDY AND ME: Sean Combs Takes His Sons And A Few Friends Out On A Yacht

Sean "P-Diddy" Combs celebrated Memorial Day by spending the day on the water with his sons, Justin Dior Combs and Christian Casey Combs and a few of their friends.  See the pics inside..... 

Diddy and his sons were spotted on a yacht with some friends over the holiday weekend.  They were riding around Miami Beach--where Diddy has a home on Star Island.

The boys enjoyed a ride on a jet-ski while Diddy played the role of a watchful dad from the driver's seat of the boat.

I'm sure the boys had some fun in the sun.  Wonder if Cassie was in tow....

SPOTTED: Kelly Rowland Arrives At The X-Factor Auditions In Birmingham

Kelly Rowland is making headlines both here and across the pond with a hit single and hit tv-show on the way.  See Kelly on her way to work in the UK inside....

Kelly Rowland has a lot going on these days.  She was spotted over in the UK this morning, arriving for the first day of the Birmingham X-Factor auditions held at the LG Arena.

 

While greeting the crowd, Kelly had a windy "Marilyn Monroe" moment and had to pull her skirt down.

 

This chick is flawless.  In addition to the great look "X-Factor" UK will be, Kelly is riding high on the US R&B charts with her Lil' Wayne assisted hit "Motivation."

Amber Rose & Wiz Khalifa ROLL UP To Katsuya

Amber Rose took a break from popping off about her VIBE magazine interview (she recently said they lied about her quotes and made her look bad---ok Amber) to go to dinner with her man Wiz Khalifa, whose "roll Up" single just went platinum.  Pics of the two rolling to Katsuya in L.A., and Amber dishing on how the two met, when you read on...

Amber and her--headpiece--hit up Katsuya last night in a white mini dress on a double date with her booski Wiz Khalifa and their friends, Virgin Mobile spokespeople Spencer Falls and Sarah Carroll. 

Meanwhile, Jermaine Hall, EIC of VIBE, has put out a statement in regards to Amber's "displeasure" of her VIBE interview:

The two met while Amber was working out at Runyon Canyon in L.A.  She told KING magazine in the June 2011 issue she's covering:

"He calls and tells me he's in L.A. and can he come and get the shades?," she recalls. "I told him I'm about to go to Runyon and work out... so I told him he could come with me. It would be cool to have some company.

"We hung out, we were friends... I chilled with him for two weeks. We didn't kiss or nothing. Then he left for Pittsburgh, and when he left I was so lost without him," Amber told King magazine.

"We talked on the phone constantly, and that's when we realized we were falling for each other. And I was like, 'When this young boy gets back from Pittsburgh, he is definitely getting some.'"

"He's just so positive. He's just one of those people who, in any situation, he can always see the brighter side to something. And he always has a smile on his face, he's never in a bad mood."

Alrighty.

The two are constantly gushing on Twitter about how much they love each other.  Sigh.

We guess Amber found a way to extend her 15 minutes....

 

Sean Kingston Expected To Make A Full Recovery In Six Weeks

Fans of "Beautiful Girls" singer Sean Kingston will be pleased to hear that the singer is expected to make a full recovery in six weeks. Deets inside....

After suffering severe injuries cause by a jet skiing accident over the weekend, sources told CNN that Sean Kingston is expected to make a full recovery in six weeks. 

Sean suffered a broken jaw, fractured wrist and water in his lungs as a result of the accident but is now in "critical but stable condition" in the intensive care unit of a Miami hospital, according to a publicist for Epic Records. 

Sean also got some good news, in the form of his jet ski passenger Cassandra Sanchez, who announced that she will not press charges against Sean saying, "I know he didn't mean to get either of us hurt."

MIAMI GAME TIME: Ludacris, Eudoxie, Gabby Union, Lil Wayne, Serena, Queen Latifah, & More Hit Courtside Of NBA Finals Game 1

Celebs were out last night as the Miami Heat took on the Dallas Mavericks in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.  Ludacris brought his girlfriend Eudoxie along, Jennifer Williams, Queen Latifah, Serena Williams, Weezy, and more all hit up the AA Arena in the MIA.  We've got the pics inside....

Miami won 92-84 last night in the NBA Finals opener.  And lots of celebs were in the place to watch:

It looks like "Best Thing I Never Had" is indeed Beyonce's next single afterall. We reported last week that rumors were swirling her label was releasing the track to radio today. And the song appeared on her official website today. And it's all over radio airwaves today.  We've got the track under the cut. Peep it inside....

This is Beyonce's official second single off her upcoming album, 4, which drops June 28th.  And the official single cover is above.  Fab look.  Bey's bodysuit is by lingerie designer and Parsons School of Design grad Lleah Rae.  We feelin' the track?

Beanie Sigel Apologies To Jay-Z Saying, "He Gave Me An Opportunity"

Though he had been making diss records and talking smack about Jay-Z for over a year and a half, Beanie Sigel has had a change of heart and tries to make amends by talking to XXLMag.com and apologizing to Jay-Z.  Read it inside....

According to XXLMag.com, it all started in 2009 with the diss record “What You Talkin About (I Ain’t Your Average Cat)” where Beanie Sigel aired out Hov and Memphis Bleek.  Then, he proceeded to insult the two during nearly every show appearance and interview thereafter.  Jay-Z responded saying he gave that man an opportunity, and if things didn't work out, essentially it's his own fault.

Explaining himself now, Beanie aka Dwight Grant says:

“I was explaining the whole Roc-A-Fella shit and a lot of feelings were going to get hurt.  I was airing shit out. Just the homies could listen to that when they come into the studio. I couldn’t put that out. It wouldn’t sit right with me.”

So now.....what's making Beanie stretch out the olive branch?  Well it seems like he is reflecting on his life and mistakes and realizes that Hov actually did have his back.  He exclusively told XXLMag.com,

“What Mike Epps say? ‘Gangstas fuck up too.'  Whatever I felt this dude Jay did wrong to me, it can’t outweigh the one thing he did do for me – he gave me an opportunity. Dude gave me an opportunity. A lot of people don’t get opportunities. He gave me that. That outweighs everything. I need that in black and white. I got caught in the moment and put my feelings out there. I should have never done that.”

That seems like a deep moment of reflection.  You can't hate on the very people who gave you a chance.  I guess Beans is doing that whole "maturity" thing now. 

SIDENOTE: Remember when Charlemagne da God supposedly got fired from his gig at 100.3 in Philly because of his interview with Beans where Beans aired Jigga out?  Wonder what he has to say now....

VIDEO FAB: Rihanna Premieres "Man Down" Video

Rihanna's brand new video for "Man Down" just premiered on "106 & Park."  It's a reggae track, which Rihanna says has much significance to her life, that she co-wrote with R&B artist Shontelle.

Rih traveled to Jamaica to shoot this "Man Down" vid.  It's a heavy reggae track that lots of folks will likely be grooving to this summer.  And she made sure to slip in shots of her sipping on her new endorsement--Vita Coco coconut water.  Peep the vid.  We feelin' it?

Late last year, Rihanna explained at a listening session the meaning behind the song:

“The song is about breaking a man’s heart,” Rihanna explains. “It’s a very cleverly written song and what I love about it is that it’s not a lyric you’d normally hear a female singing.” As for the reggae vibe of the record, Rihanna says the music is an echo of her roots. “The vibe is Jamaican and West Indian,” she says. “That’s something that’s close to me.”

“I wanted to exude the energy and space I’m in right now that’s what I always try and do with my music. Right now in my life I feel very loud and in charge of my life and I can’t wait for everyone to hear the new album. It has such a variety of sounds but it all makes sense for this album. ‘Man Down‘ is a straight up Jamaican record and I love it, I even do a little chat on it at the end haha.”

And co-writer Shontelle commented during an interview with Rap-Up:

“When I was writing my part, we were in the studio together.  She really works hard. We were at one of her concerts and she literally got straight off the stage, walked right onto the studio bus, and went straight to work.”

The “Impossible” songstress revealed that “Man Down,” which she describes as “very dramatic,” was easy to write based on the duo’s comfort level that came with growing up together. “It was good because it was like, ‘I know you, I know what you need, I know what you want.’”

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar CHECKS Scottie Pippen About Saying Lebron James & Michael Jordan Are Best Ballers Of All Time

Former Chicago Bulls Champion and Hall of Famer, Scottie Pippen, stepped on more than a few toes recently when he compared Miami Heat baller LeBron James to Michael Jordan, claiming LeBron might be the greatest of all-time.

Now the legendary Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has put Scottie in check and name checked a few other great ballers who he thinks come before LeBron and Michael. Sports heads are gonna love this one.  Shots fired?  Read the letter inside....

In an open letter to Scottie Pippen published in the LA Times, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar said,

Dear Scottie,

I have nothing but respect for you my friend as an athlete and knowledgeable basketball mind. But you are way off in your assessment of who is the greatest player of all time and the greatest scorer of all time. Your comments are off because of your limited perspective. You obviously never saw Wilt Chamberlain play who undoubtedly was the greatest scorer this game has ever known. When did MJ ever average 50.4 points per game plus 25.7 rebounds? (Wilt in the 1962 season when blocked shot statistics were not kept). We will never accurately know how many shots Wilt blocked. Oh, by the way in 1967 and 68, Wilt was a league leader in assists. Did MJ ever score 100 points in a game? How many times did MJ score more than 60 points in a game? MJ led the league in scoring in consecutive seasons for 10 years but he did this in an NBA that eventually expanded into 30 teams vs. when Wilt played and there were only 8 teams….

In terms of winning, Michael excelled as both an emotional and scoring leader but Bill Russell’s Celtics won eight consecutive NBA Championships. Bill’s rebounding average per game is over 22.5 lifetime, MJs best rebounding years was eight per game (1989).… Bill played on a total of 11 championship teams and as you very well know, Scottie, the ring is the thing, and everything else is just statistics. So I would advise you to do a little homework before crowning Michael or LeBron with the title of best ever. As dominant as he is, LeBron has yet to win a championship. I must say that it looks like Miami has finally put the team together that will change that circumstance. Its my hope that today’s players get a better perspective on exactly what has been done in this league in the days of yore.

P.S.  LeBron did respond to Scottie Pippen's statement saying,

“Michael’s an unbelievable player.  I’ve got a long way—long way—to be mentioned as far as one of the all-time greats. Not even just Jordan. There’s a lot of great players who have played in this league. Larry Bird, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, all these guys who are floating around with multiple rings, Bill Russell, all these guys who have pioneered this game.

“I’m gracious. Humbled by Scottie’s comments, especially with him being a teammate of his and seeing Michael on a day-to-day basis. But as far as me, I’m not going to sit here and say I’m better than Jordan. I’m not better than Jordan.”

Zoe Kravitz covers the July 2011 issue of ASOS Magazine's Festival Issue.  See pics inside and find out what she thinks about being an "IT" girl....  

Zoe Kravitz has been in the spotlight for years.  Having a rockstar father, Lenny Kravitz, and a famously beautiful actress mother, Lisa Bonet, it's only natural that Zoe would attract the attention of designers and photographers.

In the July issue of ASOS magazine, she talked about being an "IT" girl:

 "All that 'it girl' shit makes me kind of uncomfortable. I'm only at
the beginning of my career, but I feel successful in that I haven't
sold out in any way, shape or form. I feel good about the choices
I've made, and I don't feel like I've let go of any of my values.
Fame has become this obsession for people, which kind of creeps me
out."

She also talked about her parents' boho-chic style of dress:

"I used to be a little embarrassed by how she (mom Lisa Bonet) and my
dad (Lenny Kravitz) would dress...but now I steal their clothes all
the time."

Zoe is starring in X-Men: The First Class which is set for release on Friday. About filming the flick in London, she talked about how her and the cast--including her boyfriend--kicked it around town:

"We (Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, and boyfriend Michael Fassbender) were living in London for four months and it was like X-Men summer camp, so we all hung out at each other's houses after filming, went out to pubs...I lived in Notting Hill, right by Portobello...I'm spending all my money on flea-market shopping!"

Serena Williams Visits Sean Kingston + Sean's Rescuer Revealed + Sean's Passenger Discusses Accident

Yesterday, Serena Williams visited Sean Kingston, who was injured during a jet ski accident over the weekend and we have the pics inside. Also, both Jonathan Rivera, the man who saved Sean, and Cassandra Sanchez, who was with Sean during the accident, are speaking out.  Deets inside.....

Serena Williams was spotted visiting her friend Sean Kingston in the hospital yesterday. After leaving the hospital she tweeted:

I am thankful that I have today. Tomorrow is not promised to any of us. I'm gonna make every day the best I can. #loveuSeankingston


And the man who helped save Sean's life has been speaking out too...

Sean Kingston was rescued by an off-duty member of the Coast Guard, Jonathan Rivera, who told TMZ that Sean was "puking up blood out of his mouth."

Jonathan said he was driving his boat around Star Island when he noticed an empty jet ski and then saw Sean and Cassandra Sanchez in the water floating.  He said Sean's friends were trying to help Sean keep his head above water but his size was a problem for them and his life vest had come off.

Jonathan made his way to the accident and wrapped his arms around Sean to help keep his head above water. He says, Sean was "convulsing and throwing up blood all over me."  He held onto Sean for about 15 minutes, until a police boat finally arrived.

Jimmy Vega, who was with Jonathan at the time, told a local reporter, 

"We were about to turn back around [and go home] when we noticed him. I truly believe if we did turn around, he would not be with us today."



TMZ also spoke to Sean's passenger/girlfriend Cassandra Sanchez who said they were going "really fast" when they crashed into the bridge over the weekend.

Cassandra told TMZ, 

"Both jet skis pulled out of the dock at the same time and we were going so fast we just blasted past them. When we turned a corner and crashed ... they were so far behind us they didn't even see us crash." 

 She continued by saying that as Sean was racing towards the bridge, she screamed out,

 "We can't fit under there! Are we going to try and go under there? Sean stop!"

After the crash she said,

"[Sean] was coughing up blood, foam and pink stuff" ... and when he finally opened his eyes, he kept repeating the words, "I'm hurting. I'm hurting"

 

Asked about Sean's progress she said, 

"They have a tube down his throat so he can't really talk, but he is lucid and understands what's going on." 

She added he will remain in the hospital a few weeks.

Lauren London: Lil Wayne & I Were ENGAGED, It Wasn't A 1-Night Stand!

Lauren London dropped a little nugget of info...and cleared up some misconceptions...during a recent interview with Skin Deep author Kathleen Cross.

 

Read on for what Lauren had to say about her son's father, Lil Wayne, and their secret engagement....

 

Ms. London had a chit chat with the author of the book, Skin Deep, Kathleen Cross.  Kathleen is known for examining how skin color has an effect on races in society.  But while interviewing Big Happy Family actress Lauren London, it was revealed that Lauren was once engaged to her son's father and ex, Lil Wayne.  And obviously they kept that little tidbit a secret. 

We first posted pics of the couple chillin' in New Orleans together back in 2007 before anyone really believed the two were an item. Then Lauren became pregnant with their son less than 2 years later.  And now, she's clearing up misconceptions about her and Weezy's relationship (and her relationship with his other baby mamas) as everybody has had an opinion the last few years.  She's been labeled everything from "sadly just another baby mama" to "desperate".  So now, here's Lauren's POV:

KC: What is the biggest misperception people have of you? What misperception bothers you most?

LL: That my son is the result of some kind of one night stand or groupie encounter with his father. I struggle with deciding when to answer or ignore the constant speculation about my private life, because I feel like that doesn’t belong to anybody but me.

KC: Do you want to go on to the next question, or clear up the speculation now?

LL: I met Dwayne when I was 15 years old. I’ve known him a very long time, and we were in a relationship that didn’t make it. We tried more than once to revive it, and we were engaged briefly years ago, but we eventually parted ways. People see the “Lil’ Wayne” persona and think they know who he really is. My son’s father is an intelligent, loving and lovable person who will always be a dear friend. That is all.

KC: If you don’t mind another personal question, there is a lot of talk about how well the mothers of his children get along. What’s the real deal?

LL: We are all good-hearted women who love our children and we want them to know each other. Real friendships have grown from that foundation and the result has been more love, less drama and less trauma for our kids.
