Michael Lohan Commissions A Love Song For Daughter Lindsay Lohan

Posted: 01 Jan 2011 02:32 PM PST

Back in July we learned that Michael Lohan penned a song called A Father’s Love for his daughter Lindsay Lohan the very week she was incarcerated at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, CA. Today we learn that he is at it again … this time, Daddy Lohan commissioned someone else to write a new song for Lindsay in celebration of her release from the Betty Ford Center rehab facility. Michael is planning to honor his daughter this time around with a song called My Rose.

Sometimes a heartfelt phone call or letter just won’t do — sometimes you need to hire an R&B singer to write a dance song for your estranged daughter while she’s in rehab. That’s how things work in the Lohan family. Michael Lohan tells TMZ he has commissioned Delious Kennedy, one of the members of the Grammy winning group All-4-One, to write and perform a track dedicated to Lindsay. Michael says the song — a companion piece of sorts to Lindsay’s 2005 track “Confessions of a Broken Heart (Daughter to Father)” — is about a “talented and beautiful young lady who has grown in our hearts, she is badgered by paparazzi, cut down by the media … She will wilt, but when she falls, I will always be there to pick her up and put her pedals back on.” Kennedy tells TMZ the song — entitled “My Rose” — is a club track with a dance vibe like Usher or Lady Gaga. Kennedy says he recorded the song last week, played it for MiLo last night and he “loved it.” Kennedy gave us a sneak peak at the chorus, which goes something like this:

“The girl is like a rose garden. She falls back, springs forth and grows stronger with thorns.”

Bwahahahahaha! I’m sorry but … Michael Lohan is a complete joke. I do not believe for a second that he commissioned this song as a sign of love for his daughter. If so, he would’ve given it to her without having to share the world that it even exists. Despite his promise to stop talking to the press about his daughter, Lohan continues to find gross new ways to exploit his daughter’s troubled life for his personal gain. It’s a shame that something that should be a sweet gesture turns out to be such an exploitative pile of bullshizz.

Watch: Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi’s New Year’s Eve Ball Drop

Posted: 01 Jan 2011 01:01 PM PST

Yesterday we got to see photos from Jersey Shore star Nicole Snooki Polizzi‘s New Year’s Eve Ball Drop in Seaside Heights, NJ and right now — in case you missed it — we get to watch video of Snooki going down in her ball in celebration of the arrival of 2011.

Snooki. Going down. Balls. The jokes kinda write themselves. But, I digress … for all the hype and hoopla that MTV tried to whip up for this Snooki Ball Drop, not only was the whole event extremely lackluster but it was kinda unimpressive. I mean … I’m not sure how much more one can make a guidette-filled plastic ball doing down look more interesting but … MTV didn’t do it. Even still, check out the video and marvel at the wonder for yourselves:

Of all the balls I saw go down last night, this was the least exciting … but at least you gotta give MTV props for trying out something fun and new. My advice for MTV would be to fill their balls with something more interesting than Snooki … and mebbe drop it faster? Ah well, better luck next year!

Jennifer Lopez & Marc Anthony ‘LOVE’ The Beatles & Cirque Du Soleil

Posted: 01 Jan 2011 12:34 PM PST

Jennifer Lopez spend a few days in Las Vegas, NV earlier this month taping new episodes of American Idol and fell so in love with the Cirque du Soleil show The Beatles LOVE that she went back to see the show again with family and friends last night on New Year’s Eve. J. Lo flew in their closest family and friends for the 7pm show last night and said goodbye to 2010 with the music of The Beatles.

I understand that J. Lo and Marc were joined at the show by Jen's mother Guadalupe, her BFF Leah Remini and Marc's sons Cristian and Ryan. The group was spied sippin’ on bottles of Veuve Clicquot champagne and generally had a fun time together. After the show, J. Lo and Marc sneaked for for NYE dinner with Lance Bass … which sounds like a perfectly fun way to enjoy the last hours of the year. 2011 has the potential to be a big year for Jennifer … as a new judge on American Idol, she will be thrust back into the limelight once again. Will she sink or will she swim. It won’t be long before we find out. At least she got to enjoy a heaping dose of LOVE as she bid farewell to 2010 and hello to 2011.

Mr. & Mrs. Chris Hemsworth Surface Down Under

Posted: 01 Jan 2011 11:55 AM PST

Earlier this week, waaaaay back in 2010, we learned the happy news that Aussie actor Chris Hemsworth and Spanish model/actress Elsa Pataky got themselves hitched! Today, we get our first look at the happy newlyweds out and about in public for the first time since we learned of their secret nuptials.

Chris Hemsworth and wife Elsa Pataky have stepped out for the first time together since their whirlwind wedding. The couple were spotted walking hand in hand in Cowes, the commercial hub of Phillip Island, south of Melbourne. Chris, the brother of Miley Cyrus’s ex Liam, married Spanish actress Elsa over the Christmas holiday season in his native Australia. They looked relaxed and happy together during their stroll on Wednesday, with Elsa playing it casual in jeans and a jacket and Chris wearing shorts and a T-shirt. The Thor star had only gone public with his Pataky three months ago before they married over the Christmas weekend … According to sources, it was love at first sight. ‘They are in love, and have been talking about it for awhile,’ a source told UsMagazine.com ‘They’ve only been dating since the spring but he’s been convinced that she is the one since they met.’

Yeah, these two make an extremely hot couple. It’s always nice to see young love in bloom. I think Elsa was very smart to get Chris on love-lockdown … because he is set to become a huge star with the release of the Marvel Comics big screen adaptation of Thor (due out this Spring). Here’s to a happy, prosperous and loving 2011 for these newlyweds!!

Taylor Swift Suffers A Lonely Day Without Jake Gyllenhaal

Posted: 01 Jan 2011 11:29 AM PST

Taylor Swift, who reportedly enjoyed celebrating Xmas with her mother and brother holidaying in Turks and Caicos, made her way back to Nashville, TN this week to prepare for the new year … sans Jake Gyllenhaal. Now, it’s not yet known if Taylor was able to ring in 2011 with Jakey poo last night but on New Year’s Eve eve she was rollin’ all by her lonesome with one of her BFFs. Look how sad she looks.

Taylor and her female friend grabbed a bite to eat together … but Taylor looked so bummed. Trust me, if I had been hanging out with Jake Gyllenhaal a lot and then suddenly I wasn’t, I’d be inconsolable. I guess we’ll have to see what 2011 has in store for Taylor and Jake. Do you think they’ll be together for much longer? Were they ever really together in the first place?

Enfianced Reese Witherspoon & Jim Toth Go For A New Year’s Eve Jog

Posted: 01 Jan 2011 10:47 AM PST

Earlier this week (back in 2010) we learned that Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth got themselves engaged to be married (they even got a ringing endorsement from Reese‘s ex-hubby Ryan Phillippe) and today we get to see the couple out and about for the first time together since their happy news broke on Tuesday. Reese and Jim went for a New Year’s Even jog together in Santa Monica, CA … behold.

Unfortch, Reese was not wearing her engagement ring on the run so we don’t yet know what her rock looks like … but I hear it’s a stunning and expensive piece of ice. At least Reese was wearing her trademark beautiful smile … it’s clear that she is very happy with Jim and that she is very much looking forward to becoming Mrs. Toth. They look good together, I think, and I cannot wait to see what 2011 has in store for the happy couple.
