Nia Long Talks Vintage Vagina, No Love Scenes With Singers & Rappers, Interracial Relationships & Reality Stars On "The Breakfast Club" Posted: 14 Nov 2013 08:45 AM PST Best Man Holiday star Nia Long braved the drools and fieriness of "The Breakfast Club" this morning.  After explaining why she, as a Brooklyn girl, has to cheer for the San Antonio Spurs (because her fiance Ime Udoka is one of the coaches), she answered some pressing questions from The Breakfast Club on Power 105 this AM. On her beauty secrets "It's mostly rest, and not going out and spending time with family.  You just have to take care of yourself." On why she won't do love scenes with superstar singers/rappers "There was a guy that they wanted him in a film I was going to do.  And I was like, absolutely not.  I said, I'm Nia Long bioootch.  It was his music and I didn't feel he was worthy of being in a love scene with me.  I was like, No.  It was full on, full on love scene.  And I was like, "No thank you." On being called "vintage vagina" "Did you say VINTAGE VAGINA?  I don't want anybody labeling my vagina.  Do women call you "vintage penis"?  I don't want anything to do with vintage penis." [Hilar.] On interracial dating "You gotta mix it up.  My man is mixed and it's great.  It's like the best of both worlds." On the status of black actors in Hollywood "It's cyclical.  I feel like there's times when the black romantic comedy is the thing.  And Kerry Washington's doing an amazing job with Scandal so now you'll see a lot more black women on television.  It is difficult, but it's difficult for everyone because it's a business and it's run and motivated by money.  So whatever is selling is what they're going to make.  So hopefully everyone comes out and supports the film because then we'll be able to make more romantic comedies." On reality tv stars trying to take actual acting jobs "They're not actors.  They're trying to make them into actors.  And they're making money and they don't have to pay them a lot.  Which makes it hard for the actors that do get paid to ACT.  Yeah, I'm not a fan.  I think we're portrayed in a negative way on most of these shows.  I know me and my friends, we want to see stuff that's smarter and more intelligent. I don't take it personal because I've been in the game long enough to understand it is driven by money and I know stunt casting is there because  Maybe they're not secure with the story or secure with the director..." On her son seeing her in movies "My son has never seen me in a movie.  He doesn't like to see any man kissing mommy.  He's really protective.  I have plan to start showing him my films.  He actually plays my son in my next film called The Single Moms Club.  It's a passion project and Tyler Perry directs it.  I made him audition.  He was so cute." TLC Responds To Pebbles' "Wendy" Interview, Says Chilli Never Slept With L.A. Reid + The Girls NEVER Kicked Chilli Out The Group Posted: 14 Nov 2013 07:30 AM PST Chilli and T-Boz are popping back at those interesting claims Pebbles made yesterday on "The Wendy Williams Show".  Check out their denials inside... After Perri "Pebbles" Reid blasted Chilli for having an affair with Pebbles' then-husband L.A. Reid, TLC had something to say about it, of course.  The two ladies of the group sent out a statement saying: "No member of TLC ever slept with or had sexual contact with LA Reid as Perri falsely accused Chilli of on "The Wendy Williams Show."  In fact, Perri had falsely allege the same thing happened with Tionne." They also deny that T-Boz & Left Eye were the ones to kick Chilli out of the group (like Pebbles said on the show yesterday), saying: "I would like to confirm that Perri Reid was the only person who ever suggested that Chilli leave TLC.  Neither Lisa nor I ever wanted or suggested that." T-Boz & Chilli also took to Twitter to shade Pastor Pebbles (y'all know she is a "woman of the word" now) both saying: Yall need 2 watch what church y'all walk into cuz I'll tell ya some of these so-called MINISTERS might get struck by lightning at any moment Goodness. Sigh.  Pebbles seemed to have a lot she wanted to say during her mini-press tour on Wednesday, but was prevented by "confidentiality clauses".  And we're told--by a source close to Pebbles--that the confidentiality clause actually stems from Pebbles & L.A. Reid's divorce documents as they were both wrapped up in TLC dealings. It may lead folks--like us--to ask why she spoke out at all.  Someone is CLEARLY lying in the situation as both sides are saying two totally different things. Solange Knowles Talks Handing Out Spankings & Beyonce Helping Her With Bullies On HOT 97 Posted: 14 Nov 2013 06:24 AM PST Solange Knowles chopped it up with Angie Martinez over at Hot 97 yesterday.  Find out what she had to say about believing in spanking to discipline her 10-year-old, her part-time move to New Orleans, and how her big sis shut down bullies....   Solo is now living part time in New Orleans (hence her southern fried music and artistry style these days).  And she's loving it. The Saint Heron Records leader laughed about being able to fit in saying,  "I live in New Orleans part time. I actually blend very well. There's some characters in New Orleans who walk around in a tin man outfit." And if her big sister Beyonce and her brother in law Jay-Z can ever come and visit, she said of course!  "Even when they were there for Superbowl, we went out to eat a lot and we stayed under the radar. People from New Orleans are extremely prideful. Even if they are kinda curious, they won't let you know." Here are the rest of the highlights: On if she's ever used her "Knowles last name" card "When I was in 7th or 8th grade, I used the card because there was this one kid who was so obnoxious and was constantly kinda bullying and doing the most . My mom came on a trip as a chaperone and called her the B-word. This kid was out of control. I wrote petitions to get this kid named Brandon out of school. So one day, and "No No No Part 2" had just come out, I did say my sister is gonna come here and you're going to be really surprised who she is. I kept telling my sister and Kelly [Rowland], 'You gotta come check this kid." Of course he wasn't paying any attention to what I had to say. They pulled up and I would never forget the face Brandon made. They were coming to beat him up, he was sick. It was DESTINY'S CHILD coming to beat him up. I loved it so much."   She said she never had to pull the card again, but did have to pull up her Wikipedia page to prove her age in order to get into a bar when she forgot her ID.  She said, "I didn't feel good about it at all."   On parenting 9-year-old Julez and not being afraid to hand out a spanking "I really limit what he can have access to.  He just got an iPad for Christmas.  That was Grandma's gift.  Hell no, he doesn't have a phone.  I feel like moving to New Orleans and putting him in school there was a good move in keeping in humble.  He's around a lot of sweet, nice normal kids.  And also around kids who get disciplined.  If he gets completely out of line, I do the 3 steps.  1 is the look and talk.  2 is taking away something of value to him.  3, you need your butt popped.  You don't have to do it often, like twice or three times a year.  And he remembers it." On Julez's musical abilities He is [into music], but it's terrifying.  He writes raps like crazy.  Hov said he had some potential. He doesn't freestyle, he's a writer.  And he takes the Eminem approach--as many words as he can put in a bar, however many syllables.  It's interesting because he writes melodies first.  And Jay said all the great rappers do that.   On the meaning of her record label Saint Heron is a double meaning.  I named by label Saint Records.  And I started googling black saints.  Saint Heron was actually an Egyptian martyr and simultaneously I was reading Gil Scott Heron. One of our fave shows of the Holiday season, the sexy & glam Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, taped today at the Lexington Avenue Armory in new york City.  And the celebs made sure to glam it up for the pink carpet. Ciara looked amazing in this black Prabal Gurung wrapped waist high waist gown topped off with Giuseppe Zanotti heels. She flashed her ring, as usual, as she hit sat front row to take in the hot runway show.  CiCi spent yesterday at her cover shoot for an upcoming issue of GenLuxe magazine.     LaLa Anthony kept it fabulous in this jewel-toned blue Balmain mini dress. She showed off her toned bod and messy, yet polished, hair that we're loving for the occasion.   Estelle flaunted an all leather look, her own line of turban wraps and a cute statement necklace. SPOTTED: Kanye West & Scott Disick RIDE OUT In Cali Posted: 13 Nov 2013 06:45 PM PST Kanye West was spotted out with his future sister in law's babies' daddy Scott Disick today.  Check out the twosome riding around in the Rolls Royce & in semi-matching tees... Now that Kanye has officially replaced Lamar Odom as the latest Kardashian household obsession, the rapper spent some QT with Scott Disick, Kourtney Kardashian's boyfriend and babies' father, today. The two were spotted hopping in Scott's RR:   The two reportedly went to go check out Kanye and Kim K.'s Bel-Air estate. Sadly, Scott's 63-year-old mother died recently.  So it's also very possible Kanye was bonding with him over the now unfortunate event they have in common. The ridiculous gorgeous cast of Best Man Holiday continued their extensive promo tour today.  Their episode of "106 & Park" aired tonight.  And the cast kept it fabulous as they mixed it up with host Bow Wow about their most vivid Holiday memories. Joined by her longtime fiance David Otunga and son David Jr., Jen tearfully accepted her honor and paid homage to her late mother saying: "I'm sure my mom is in heaven like, 'Jenny stop crying!' But now's the time to cry mama." Aww. The newly coifed Weight Watchers spokeswoman, who went through a major physical transformation before our eyes, also thanked the men and women who captured her every move.  She said during her speech: "I even want to thank the paparazzi...even though y'all get on my nerves. I always sit and talk to y'all because we're all one."   Ana Martinez, Producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies said, "We are so happy to honor Jennifer Hudson with a star on the Walk of Fame. Eva Marcille, who's expecting her first child with Kevin McCall, posted a Sonogram/Instagram from their visit to the doctor.  On the adorable clip, Kevin does a "beat box" to the rhythm of the baby's heartbeat.  The happy couple celebrated the revelation that the baby has Kevin's sense of rhythm!  Eva tweeted "2 months to go! News Online about her plans to throw the one-year-old a big birthday party.  "...I haven't been in a really long time, so I can't wait. He loves music and lights, like he lives for that, so there's lots of that at Disneyland. I knew we would be covered. Also, he likes Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, so we're good. That's like easy and fun." Tamera also talked about Aden's birthday gifts, "I'm going to get him things that he needs. I love clothes, I love dressing him up. So definitely clothes. Anything with music...I don't want to give him too much, because we're not all about that. It's definitely about Disneyland. That's the main thing." The proud mom also gave an update about what Aden's doing around the house. "He is now doing this funky crawl-walk thing," You know, when they crawl and like one knee is on the ground and the other foot is on the ground? So he's almost walking. Pebbles Breaks Silence! Talks Rav 4s, Chilli's Affair With L.A. Reid & The REAL DEAL With TLC's Contracts On "Wendy" & "Huff Post Live" Posted: 13 Nov 2013 02:37 PM PST Pebbles has finally had an official "speaking-out" about all the TLC drama.  She hit up "The Wendy Show" today to spill the green tea, black tea, and Earl's Grey tea about the entire situation.  Catch it all inside... Pebbles says she's fed up with the false stories about her life and the way she handled TLC's career as a group.  She says the only thing that wa true about VH1's "CrazySexyCool: TLC Story" biopic...was that she wears Chanel bags. Pebbles is indeed keeping her lawsuit options open she says, despite the fact VH1 tried to make nice yesterday by sending her a notice saying the movie was NOT based on a true story.  She says they marketed it as a true story, so this needs to be cleared up and handled. Now, for what we really want to know from Pebbles. After Wendy told her she had red lipstick on her teeth, they got down to business.  Chilli's alleged affair with Pebbles' then-husband L.A. Reid Pebbles says the rumor of her walking in on Chilli & L.A. sexing is not true....because she would have caught a case.  BUT, she does "absolutely" believe they were having an affair because she "saw things". The damned Rav 4's Pebbles says that if that's what you asked for, then that's what you got.  She basically says the girls of the group had simple tastes.  And they weren't making Ferrari money anyway. The wack contracts Pebbles claims the girls DID in fact, read their contracts and signed them knowing what was in them.  "If the contract was so bad, why'd you sign it?"  She said Crystal--the former member who never really became a member--was never actually given a contract despite her saying she was.  Pebbles says she never even made it that far, but she was a nice girl. Pebbles said she would never give $25 per diem because she's "so generous" (and she referenced her Giuseppe Zanotti boots she bought to rock on Wendy's show...for Wendy).   She alluded to people higher up in the food chain (namely Clive Davis and L.A. Reid) who were the ones really making all the money.  As for if she ever "stole" money from the girls, she said "Hell no!"  She said a few times she thought of the girls like her daughters. She also says it was a total lie that her lawyers were the girls' lawyers as well.  She said she didn't know those lawyers (but later in a Huff Post interview says they were L.A. Reid's lawyers) and simply found an esteemed law office to refer TLC to because lawyers at that time would only take clients based off reputation.  Pebbles maintains that the girls had their own lawyers. Who really kicked Chilli out the group Pebbles dropped a bombshell and said it was T-Boz & Left Eye who kicked Chilli out the group....not her!  They were allegedly bothered by Chili's relationship with their producer Dallas Austin.  And she crossed the line of "group rules" Pebbles told them to make. Porsha Pops Back At Kenya Moore, Accuses Her Of Being SURGICALLY ENHANCED + Mariah Equates "Idol" With Working In HELL With SATAN! Posted: 13 Nov 2013 01:27 PM PST Porsha Stewart is really pissed at Kenya.  After Kenya Moore tried to read Porsha in her Bravo blog about Porsha insinuating her estranged husband Kordell Stewart is gay, Porsha popped back with some more accusations.    Deets inside, plus Mariah going in about "Idol"....and working with "Satan"... Earlier this week, Kenya had some words about her "RHOA" co-star Porsha causing drama with all this talk about Kordell being gay and the reasons for the end of their marriage.  In her Bravo blog, she wrote: I find it quite disturbing that Porsha and her family go on and on about the fact that Kordell may be gay. After all, she told the world she had a “picture perfect life” and married the “man of her dreams.” Cut to Porsha sitting with the attorney agreeing to take him back if he abided by a “list.” Well, a thinking person with a brain would ask the question that if the main problem was that he is possibly gay, why would you want him back? I don’t think Porsha is telling the whole truth. That’s always been my opinion of her and it remains the same after listening to her recall the “facts” about their marriage. Fast forward to today when Porsha was apparently up to her short coiffed wig tip about the matter.  And she responded with this little nugget:   She shaded Kenya about her allegedly surgically enhanced body.  BLOOP.  Her "Pastor Porsha" conscious must have taken over because she removed the photo....after 1925 comments were made on the pic.  She later posted another pic saying she was "unbothered" by it all...but deleted that too.   In other shady news, MiMi made her way to Hot 97 studios to do some promo for her upcoming album Art of Letting Go yesterday.  She chatted up Angie Martinez about many things, but it's what she said about working on "Idol" last season that is classic Mariah. She confirmed what we all thought--that she never signed on (for lots of cash) thinking she would be the only female on the panel.  And working on the show was HELL for her with all the Nicki Minaj feuding.. “Honestly, I hated it.  I thought it was gonna be a three-person panel. They gave me a nice dangling monetary moment.” “It was like going to work everyday in hell with Satan.  Nah, I’m just playing. It didn’t affect me that much. I was disappointed. But I loved the contestants.  It was disappointing when for political reasons they wouldn't put people through.” We're sure her version of "Satan" rocked a pink wig and was named Nicki Minaj.  Shhhhhhhade. EXCLUSIVE: 'Best Man Holiday' Star Terrence Howard On Why Men Lose Their Manliness After Marriage + Sanaa Lathan & Melissa De Sousa Chat It Up Posted: 13 Nov 2013 12:46 PM PST TheYBF.com hit the red carpet for the New York City premiere of The Best Man Holiday where Terrence Howard, Sanna Lathan and Melissa De Sousa spilled juicy deets about the film.  Get the scoop inside.... With November 15th fast approaching, we have some exclusive red carpet chit chat from Monday's NYC premiere of The Best Man Holiday. While at The Bow Tie Chelsea Cinema, we mixed it up with castmembers Sanaa Lathan, Melissa de Sousa and Terrence Howard and music legend R. Kelly. The fabulous Melissa De Sousa, who looked gorgeous in a Herve Leger dress, Brian Atwood shoes and Jacob & Co jewels, hinted that fans of TBM will see a big change in Shelby. Since the first film, she says her character has evolved and become a business woman who can fend for herself and not rely on her ex-husband Julian (played by Harold Perrineau).  And you'll see what she means by "business woman" aka "Real Housewife".... Sanaa Lathan talked about her "Robyn" character's evolution which included a new career at "Red Rooster" in Harlem. She also said she was not happy to find out that her character would be 9-months pregnant for the entire movie. She added that she was not a fan of the "pregnancy" costume and it didn't make her anticipate having kids in the future! Terrence Howard renamed us The Young Black Folks (thanks Terrence!) and joked that the male characters in the movie are all LESS-manly. In Terrence's opinion, men lose 25% of their estrogen once they get married and it strips them of their manliness. He said that the only manly character in the film is "Quentin"....because he's still single! Shaniece Hairston, the 20-year-old daughter of "BBW" star Evelyn Lozada follows up her recent BCBG Campaign with a new shoot captured by noted photographer DeWayne Rogers.   Titled “Pop Princess”, the new pics show Shaniece posing amidst an assortment of balloons and bubbles while showing off the curves and good looks that her mom passed onto her. Trey Songz Gets Cozy With "Friend" Tanaya Henry At GQ Event & AfterParty + A Bra-less Meagan Good, Lupita Nyong'o, Serge Ibaka And More Party With GQ Posted: 13 Nov 2013 10:47 AM PST Trey Songz looks to have gotten his ex-boo Tanaya Henry back on his arm for last night's GQ Men Of The Year Party in L.A.  And they brought their lovey-doveyness to the club afterwards too.  Check out the pics inside, plus the OKC Thunder ballers, Meagan Good and more also partying with GQ.... Well looky here.  Trigga had jewelry designer and re-gnited flame Tanaya Henry as his date last night for the GQ party at The Ebell Club of Los Angeles.  They previously denied being anything more than "best friends".  But...yeah. She posted a few pics saying, "Found this guy on the street & we went to the GQ man of the year event."  Mmhmm... By the way, they were also caught at Supperclub Tuesdays with Supreme Team LA after the GQ party last night.  Cue up "Can't be friends...." Back at the GQ party, Trey chopped it up with Pharrell and Kid Cudi. And also actor Michael B. Jordan and Raphael Saadiq. P had his wife Helen by his side all night.   Hottie Meagan Good must not have known the top of her dress was pretty sheer.  Or did she...   The fabulous Lupita N'yongo was there looking pretty in pink with her 12 Years A Slave co-star Chiwetel Ejiofor and director Steve McQueen. It's the RZA! The OKC ballers were in the mix partying with Trey.  Serge Ibaka (sans his girlfriend Keri Hilson), Russell Westbrook, and an extra snug Kevin Durant were there to party it up. Former NBAer Jason Collins were also there. And so was WNBA star Skylar Diggins.    Actor Nate Parker hit the carpet. And Columbus Short finally came out of hiding (y'all know we rarely see him doing any promo whatsoever) to spend some time with his "Scandal" co-stars and celeb friends.   Fun times. Kerry Washington Reveals How She Keeps Her Husband & Wedding Ring Close By On "Scandal" Set + More "LUCKY" Pics Posted: 13 Nov 2013 09:23 AM PST In the December 2013/January 2014 issue of LUCKY, Kerry Washington reveals how she keeps hubby Nnamdi Asomugha close to her heart on the "Scandal" set and how she "throws down" on the holidays.  Get more deets on Kerry and see additional LUCKY pics... Folks are still in an uproar about Kerry Washington's cover of LUCKY (even the Christian Dior Resort 2014 dress didn't save the look for some folks).  But the mag's dish with Kerry sheds new light on the very private superstar and how she created her red carpet persona, her homemaking skills and an adorable way she keeps her marriage close to her heart. Ms. Washington (or Mrs. Asomugha) told that mag that she's the type of girl who wants to wear her wedding ring on the subway without feeling uncomfortable (she is understated) and she revealed that she wears her wedding band and engagement ring on the set of "Scandal" by pinning them to Olivia Pope's clothes.  All to keep her husband close.  Sweet!   Here are the other highlights: On working in Hollywood: “It’s a miracle to even work in this industry. I didn’t become an actress to be on the cover of magazines. That was always a little scary to me. What I love about acting is the craft of becoming different people and telling a story.” On the dangers of the media: “Even for me, I think it’s a real danger to compare yourself to someone on a television show. I know that I am not going to look like [Scandal character] Olivia when I wake up and go to the bathroom at 4 o’clock in the morning. On the set, it’s somebody’s job to follow me around all day with spackle.” On Olivia's Sense Of Fashion: “People always come up to me and say, ‘Oh, I want Olivia’s closet,’ and I’m like, ‘Me too!’  Even for me, I think it’s a real danger to compare yourself to someone on a television show. There are shows where every time you see the character she’s in a different piece, and it’s like a fashion event,” she says. “I didn’t want that. I wanted Olivia to be a real person. We will always buy new pieces, but on every episode we try to use at least one piece that you’ve seen before, whether it’s a suit jacket or pants or a pair of shoes.” On her Own Style: “In my mid-20s, fashion intimidated me. But when I went to the shows, it suddenly occurred to me that it was the same as going to a gallery opening or to the theater…It is a moment to take in the work of a particular artist and decide how you feel about it.” On Tracee Ellis Ross and E! critic George Kotsiopoulos “They really taught me a great deal. They would give me the names of designers to watch or magazines to buy. And I started to develop a language around fashion.” On living low-key: "I can run into Madewell and J.Crew and be good for a few months. I’m not a formal person. I have a lot of jeans. And I have tons of sneakers, whether they’re the custom Nikes that you can make online or the Isabel Marant wedges. That’s the Bronx in me, for sure.” On perfecting her style for her ever-changing duties: “I always strive to be appropriate, I know that how people dress says a lot about what they believe and how they walk in the world. So I’m very aware when I make choices that those choices say things. I know whether a gown is the correct gown for the Met Ball or at the MTV Movie Awards or at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.” On wearing her wedding ring from hubby Nnamdi Asomugha: “I never wanted to have a ring that I would feel uncomfortable riding the subway with. My wedding band and engagement ring are the only things I can say that I wear every day, I pin them to my clothing on set. That way, I always have them with me.” Throwing Down In The Kitchen For the Holidays: “My mother’s birthday is close to Christmas, and I like to cook around the holidays. It’s really a special time. I’m usually in charge of the veggies—I have a brussels sprouts dish that I make. And my mom and I bake this Jamaican rum cake together."   “There’s something cosmopolitan about this look.
