YBF Celebs Take Over "Best Man Holiday" Hollywood Premiere Posted: 06 Nov 2013 07:44 AM PST The cast of Best Man Holiday and more put on their red carpet best for last night's big Hollywood premiere.  We've got all the fabulous pics inside... Sanaa Lathan & Taye Diggs took their chemistry off camera to pose it up together at the premiere of Universal Pictures' The Best Man Holiday at the Chinese Theatre in L.A. In a hot wine & black strapless asymmetrical peplum dress, Sanaa looked stunning as usual. And it was so effortless.  Flawless look. And speaking of flawless...   Even while fixing her Michael Costello dress on the carpet, Nia Long looked gorge in the color of the season and black peep toe pumps.  Perfect statement jewelry, hair and makeup completed her look. And she posed it up with director Malcolm Lee. Hottie Morris Chestnut had his wife of almost 18 years, Pam, on his arm for his big night. Pretty lady Regina Hall rocked a red lace jumpsuit.  Loves it.    Monica Calhoun posed it up with her co-star Nia in this sparkly silver number. And we're wondering if she's hiding a baby bump under this frock... The fabulous Melissa de Sousa hit the carpet in this dramatic strapless blue sparkling gown complete with a sheer black train.   Actress Rochelle Aytes donned a holiday red look for the occasion.   Terrence Howard put on his pinstripes for his big night. And his co-star Taye Diggs posed it up with one of the child stars from the movie, Linden Liles McCurdy. And rounding out the male cast members, Harold Perrineau was there with his wife Brittany. Singer Michelle Williams was on the carpet supporting her celeb friends. The carpet was all about the sparkles and Holiday inspirations apparently.  "The TLC Story" actress Lil Mama rocked this silver gown with her green short bob.  And, somehow, it worked for her.  She chopped it up with our YBF correspondent Kourtney Richard on the carpet.  And by the way, the rapper/actress said that her mother, who passed years ago, was actually an extra in the first Best Man movie. Reality star Shaunie O'Neal and soon-to-be reality star Torrei Hart of "Atlanta Exes" hit the carpet together.   And so did former "BBW: LA" star Laura Govan.  Are we feeling her look?     Daphne Wayans was on hand to support the big Holiday movie. Even Mario, who appears on the movie's soundtrack, came out to support. And so did crooner Ne-Yo who also appears on the soundtrack. Over at the afterparty at the Roosevelt Hotel: The cast partied it up and rightfully so as they have much to celebrate.  We got to see a screening of the film, and it's totally worth your time and money to catch it yourself.  It's an emotional rollercoaster and a MUST SEE.  Trust us. Oprah Stuns In Vera Wang For December 2013 O Magazine Cover...Reveals Her Favorite Things (And Jimmy Kimmel) Posted: 06 Nov 2013 06:09 AM PST Oprah Winfrey knows how to rock a dramatic dress!  Check out her fabulous look for the cover of her December 2013 issue of O Magazine inside, plus how she let Jimmy Kimmel share the cover... It's Oprah's Favorite Things!  And while this Holiday red WHITE by Vera Wang gown is indeed one of OUR favorite things, the media mogul has put out her annual list of her 60 most favorite things.  All while looking amazing on her cover. She did something rare (which she's only done a few times) and allowed someone to share the cover with her.  And this time, it's talk show host Jimmy Kimmel--her elf. Beyonce Rocks New Short Wavy Bob On Tour + Khandi Alexander SIGNS ON As Olivia Pope's Mom On "Scandal" Posted: 05 Nov 2013 05:22 PM PST Beyonce has switched out her extensions for a shorter bob on The Mrs. Carter Show.  See her pics inside and find out which actress has joined the cast of "Scandal." Fans at upcoming Mrs. Carter Show World Tour dates will see Beyonce rocking much shorter locks from now on.  Well, until she decides to switch it up randomly again. On her Tumblr page, the diva switched up her look and is now rocking a shorter bob (which she showed off at her concert in Adelaide on Tuesday).  In other Bey news, her single "XO" will be dropping in a few weeks. On television.....   The part we've all been waiting for is now booked!  "Treme" star and former "CSI: Miami" star Khandi Alexander has signed on with ABC's "Scandal" to play the mother of Kerry Washington's Olivia Pope character. According to THR, Khandi will play Maya Lewis, Olivia's mother, in several flashbacks.  Actor Tony Goldwyn, who plays President Grant, told THR: "You can only imagine what that would be like to find out that your mother did not die in the way that you thought she died, in terms of it being a willful act. It's surreal for Olivia.The audience can imagine what that must be like to find out that your mother was murdered along with hundreds of other people. So the fact that her father was behind it is incomprehensible. It's going to really complicate [Olivia and Rowan's relationship] because Rowan remains a very dangerous person. It's not like everyone can just expose him or take him out. It becomes a very volatile and dangerous situation. You can imagine how devastating it is for Olivia." SPOTTED: Ciara Goes ALL BLACK For 2014 People's Choice Award Nominations Ceremony Posted: 05 Nov 2013 04:06 PM PST Ciara was spotted flashing her 15 carat engagement ring once again today.  She hit the 2014 People's Choice Award nomination ceremony as an announcer of the nominees.  Check out her fab look inside.... Last night, TV GUIDE Magazine TV Guide Magazine's Hot List Party was held at the Emerson Theater in Hollywood, California with Tia & Tamera Mowry in attendance.  Vegan Tia, who's starring on "Instant Mom", opened up to PEOPLE Magazine about the prospects of having a second child and the competition it's sparked with her sister. “There’s always this inner competition with my sister and I: who’s going to have the second child first. It would be interesting if we end up getting pregnant together — that would be crazy cool in a way." She add, "I do want another child — and sooner rather than later — but just not now.” While at the party, "The Real" host Tamera, who wore a Ted Baker tuxedo and Tacori jewels, posed with her brother, former "Smart Guy" star Tahj Mowry and former "Full House" star Candace Cameron Bure. Candace has been in talks with ABC Studios to star in a spinoff of "Full House. with the adult Tanner girls"  Can't decide if we're happy about this or not.  Ha! New "Atlanta Exes" star Torrie Hart posed alongside Niecy Nash.    The ladies of "The Talk", Sheryl Underwood, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler and Julie Chen posed together. "Glee" star Naya Rivera covers the November 2013 issue of ROLLING STONE Magazine.  She tweeted her excitement saying, "Mamì was a rolling stone…!!! A big thanks to @RollingStone for showing me so much love! Such an honor to be featured! My @RollingStone feature hits newsstands November 8th! SPEAK ON IT: Don Lemon Co-Signs Controversial Stop & Frisk Law...For A Reason Posted: 05 Nov 2013 02:41 PM PST Don Lemon stirred up controversy once again during his commentary spot on the Tom Joyner morning show today.  Check out his take on Stop & Frisk inside....and speak on it.... With controversial policies like Stop & Frisk being called legal racial profiling and legal racism, it's not everyday we hear a black man endorsing such policies.  But was Mr. Lemon actually endorsing it?  Or was he offering a different perspective on it for the greater good? He said in part today: If they could truly believe that the officers would stop someone and say, “Sir I’m sorry but I need to check your bag and your person but they know that that’s not the reality of things on the street. They know that officers will most likely not be that polite, if you can call that polite. They know that in reality they will probably be ordered to put their hands up, spread their legs, or lay on the ground and be handcuffed while an officer or officers have their ways with them; touching them wherever they’d like or handling them however they’d like. So for those of us who’d like to believe in theory that we’d rather be inconvenienced by being stopped by police than shot by gun wielding criminals on the street, we deeply know that while that is true, it is highly unlikely that the police, the people holding the authority, and our fates in their own hands will treat us as citizens who deserve the same respect as any other citizen who happens not to be of color in the United States. And ended with: So the question is: would you rather be politically correct or safe and alive? That’s the real issue facing the citizens of New York and pretty soon, ultimately YOU.   Some say the police commissioner incorrectly credits Stop & Frisk with the decrease in crime in NYC, as crime has been on the decline for the last decade across the entire nation as a whole.  But others say the policy still heavily affects the prevention of crime in NYC. Needless to say, Twitter was in a slight uproar. So, you decide.  Is Don just trying to be controversial and co-signing a policy that allows cops to stop whoever they feel is "a threat" in the streets...or is he offering up a valid perspective on how to prevent crime? HIS SIDE: Kordell Reveals Why He Divorced Porsha, Says Porsha Couldn't AFFORD To Divorce HIM, & Says He's NOT Gay Posted: 05 Nov 2013 11:42 AM PST Kordell Stewart told his side of the story on the "Ryan Cameron Morning Show" this morning in Atlanta.  After his estranged wife Porsha alluded to the thought that Kordell informed her he was gay, folks were all a-Twitter.  But now, he finally answers all the questions we have been waiting to know.  What's the REAL reason he slapped Porsha with divorce papers, if he's gay or nah, and much more...   Kordell revealed their divorce isn't final so Porsha's still his "wife" on paper.  And he says even though he did attempt to do counseling to possibly reconcile with Porsha, he's not there anymore. Kordell on Porsha not parenting his son properly [Kordell's son calls Porsha "Mommy"]  "Everybody's trying to hustle and get their "NeNe" on.  Everybody wants to be "Nene".   I would get home [after being at work] and Porsha's not there.  My son would ask me, "Is mommy coming home, did she make it home yet?"  I would say she's doing her thing.  He would wake up in the morning and ask "Did mommy make it home?" And I would say yes, she's sleeping.  After a couple times of that happening and me not knowing... When my son asked me this few times, I had to figure out how do I make him understand what's going on.  He doesn't deserve to have to deal with that when there's two parents in the home.  If anything, we should be eating dinner together, finding a way to get it done, or making sure that when the kid goes to bed you go in there to check on the kid.  Even if it's 3 in the morning, you kiss him goodnight.  So he can feel your presence!  I had to deal with that as a kid.  My mom passed away at 11 and my dad did it the right way. I have custody of my kid.  It's my obligation as a dad to make sure my baby is good.  And I say MY because you see where it is today.  If I say our, the OUR of the other half isn't even doing her part.  She hasn't even called to check on the kid. When I ask her where you been and why are you coming home at this time, she says, "What do you mean?  I'm grown.  I do what I want to do."  That's a quote from Porsha, my wife.  When that happened, I'm kind of messed up a bit because I never had this gangsta-talk to me from my woman before.  It's supposed to be about the household."   On the REAL reason Kordell filed for divorce When I was done playing football I wanted to make sure the monies I made, I wanted to inject that in my family-to-be.  My son was already here.  Then, Porsha came on the scene.  She married into the STEWART family.  I didn't marry into the Williams family.  That's her people.  I went out my way to make sure we were situated.  As if I was still playing the game because I was capable of purchasing in cash my house for my family.  So when you come out your mouth and show that type of disrespect, you have no idea how much that BURNT me up inside.  I've been about team concepts all my life. I'm all about everybody pulling their weight, doing their part.  The person that suffers if people don't pull their weight is the child. When I allowed Bravo in the house, I went against the grain of what I represent.  I'm private.  I had to compromise everything about my manhood from the standpoint of--I'm going to let my wife do what she do....and that's it.   On rumors he was arrested for lewd acts with a transvestite while he was playing QB for the Steelers I never got arrested in that state or that city.  I was a black QB in the city of Pittsburgh.  Making millions.   I wasn't going to let any false rumors mess up my money, and I didn't indulge in the rumors at that time.  I couldn't have gotten arrested that Monday they said.  We had to watch film, we went to Dave & Busters with the boys.  That was just a rumor that started because I wasn't playing good football at that time. On whether Porsha ever asked him about the rumors (like she said she did on last week's premiere) No, she never asked me about it.  When we were dating, maybe 2-3 weeks into our relationship, we were at her condo and I asked to talk to her about something since we're about to move forward in this relationship.  I said I just want you to know there were rumors way back then.  I brought it up.  She said she had heard something about it.  And she said no big deal, I know a lot of guys that are gay.  I said no, that has nothing to do with me.  I'm just telling you about a rumor that's floating around about me before you get caught up into this relationship and find this out from the backside. On if he's gay No, I'm not.  I'm not on the down low.  And I'm not bisexual.  I'm a 100% man.   I don't do no "homophobic". There's nothing about no dude that I see... I promise you...on my life...and everything I'm a part of including my son, and on my father who's no longer here, that nothing will ever come up with no dude and me and nothing.  People can say what they want to say. On mistreating him and the kid When your wife looks you in your face and tells you to file for divorce, and the only reason she's not filing is because she doesn't have the money and she has nothing to lose....are you kidding me? The $3+ million I done put into this wedding and this house, and got her mama and everybody in it?  [Her] brother coming to the house with all his kids [every week] and my son wants to have a birthday party and you say he can't have a birthday party because you're uncomfortable?  Are you kidding me? And when you tell me you're uncomfortable, but you got all these Bravo people walking through my house, people I don't know, makeup artists, all these different type of people.  But my baby, the kid that lives here in this house....and you say to me and his mom-- "This is not his house, it's my house.  He just lives here."  I went to New Orleans to work at the Superbowl and I told my son's mother to handle the birthday plans with Porsha. And I come back to find out that the party is the indoor sky jumping castle place. Porsha told her that she doesn't want the child's mother, her friends and all my son's friends at the house because she's "uncomfortable".  You got all these people coming to this house--your mama, Bravo, ministers--but my baby can't have a birthday party in his own house? On if he still loves Porsha I have love in my heart about what I remembered about Porsha.  I love her so much, but where she is, she's going to stay.  Not coming back over here.   There's nothing over here she can get or that I want, at all.  On the final straw The final straw was 3-4 months before I filed.  When my son couldn't have his birthday party at his own house. Kordell does have (semi-understandable) control issues.  But Porsha did agree to his terms before marrying him.  So when she flipped that script...he flipped those papers.

OH: Kenya Moore DEFENDS Texting Phaedra Parks' Husband Apollo Nida! Posted: 05 Nov 2013 10:03 AM PST "RHOA" star Kenya Moore has defended texting Apollo Nida, the husband of her co-star Phaedra Parks, and it may not be what you think.  Find out why Kenya thinks it's okay to text a married man inside.... While promoting season six of "RHOA", Kenya Moore and Cynthia Bailey spoke to ABC radio about whether it's appropriate for a woman to text a married man.  The scenario will appear as a storyline on an upcoming episode of the Bravo show when Kenya is confronted about texting Apollo, the husband of her nemisis Phaedra Parks.  Here's what the ladies told ABC: Why Kenya Doesn't Feel Bad About Texting Apollo: "I am like an open book. I don't try to hide things so if I was texting in response to [him] texting me first I don't see how that's a problem, especially when they were not inappropriate texts." Cynthia Bailey Chimed In and Doesn't Think the Situation is Right: "If you don't have that kind of relationship with the wife, I think it's completely inappropriate to have a text relationship with someone's husband. I don't think that Kenya would text [my husband] Peter [Bailey] inappropriately for any reason. I think that she respects me and I think she respects him and I don't think that she would do that." Does Kenya have a point?  Or should she have never responded--whether the texts were inappropriate or not? Viewers will get the see the whole scenario play out this season on RHOA, Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo. Kerry Washington Hits "SNL" Afterparty With Hubby Nnamdi Asomugha...After RATINGS GOLD! Posted: 05 Nov 2013 09:15 AM PST Kerry Washington's hosting gig on "SNL" spelled ratings success for the show this weekend.  Find out how well the show did inside and watch Kerry and her husband Nnamdi Asomugha arrive to the after party.  Also, get the deets on Nnamdi getting dropped from the San Francisco 49ers.   In case you missed it, Kerry Washington hosted SNL over the weekend and it was a super success in the ratings.  Kerry's show (with musical guest Eminem) hit a season high and earned SNL their best ratings since Justin Timberlake hosted on March 9th. "SNL" was also the #1 non-sports telecast of the night on the Big 4 networks. Following the broadcast, Kerry attended the "SNL" after party at Asellina Ristorante with her husband Nnamdi.  Before the after party, photographers captured Nnamdi walking into the venue after Kerry, making it one of the first times we seen the couple together (since they wed and announced their pregnancy). A source told US Weekly, "She was adorable, as you can imagine. She was with her husband, parents and family and friends. When she arrived to the table, they gave her a standing [ovation]!" Another source told the mag that Kerry and her family stayed at the Ritz Carlton during her rehearsals and that she and Nnamdi didn't leave the hotel Friday night.  Meow. In other Washington/Asomugha news, Nnamdi will have more time to devote to his philanthropic works as he's been cut from the San Francisco 49ers.
