EXCLUSIVE: Harold Perrineau & Regina Hall Dish On Their Cooking Skills....And Harold's Wife Throwing Down On Greens! Posted: 16 Nov 2013 08:54 AM PST In part 2 of TheYBF.com's Opening Weekend interview series with the entire cast of Best Man Holiday, we're chopping it up with on-screen couple Regina Hall & Harold Perrineau.  And we're talking about their cooking skills, they're dopest meals, and the surprising food Harold's wife can throw down on....    Who would have thought big screen actors Regina Hall & Harold Perrineau could throw down in the kitchen?  The two co-stars dished to our LA Correspondent Kalia Silva about their dope ass cooking skills...and who cooks the best greens. Here's our brief chit-chat: YBF: Tell us about the plot for the sequel to The Best Man. HAROLD: The plot of this one is a lot different than the first one, which is mostly centered around this book and what will happen if Lance finds out about the book. This one is focused on all the NEW things they have in their lives, the new women, the new children and many other new situations they all have to deal with a very adult, grown up way. YBF: Can you describe each character in one word? YBF: Harper? HAROLD: “Tricky” YBF: Lance? REGINA: “Bruiting”, he had a lot going on. YBF: Mia? REGINA: “Kind” YBF: Shelby? HAROLD: “Child” REGINA: [Laughter] That was my word, ha-ha! REGINA: [Sucks her teeth & rolls her eyes, Laughter.] That’s my word…spell that one! YBF: Robin? REGINA: Awe…Robin “Ethereal” Harold: “Lovely” YBF: Quentin? HAROLD: “Crazy” REGINA: “Amazing” that’s U…H…”UH-Mazing” YBF: Eddie Cibrian and his new character? REGINA: “Handsome” and “Delightful” HARLOLD: “Charming” YBF: Harold? REGINA: “Phenomenal” I love him! YBF: Candice? HAROLD: Uh, there are so many “Unstoppable”, “Amazing”... YBF: What are you most looking forward to this holiday season? HAROLD: Other than The Best Man Holiday? Because I’m really looking forward to The Best Man Holiday! REGINA: Me too! [Laughter] HAROLD: We just had a couple of conversations about a meal we might be able to hook up together. REGINA: Because I make a really good game hen and wild rice. HAROLD: I make a really good mac and cheese. REGINA: And his wife [Brittany Perrineau, pictured above] makes amazing greens. YBF: Oh wow! REGINA: Right, so that’s a meal! HAROLD: I’m looking forward to when we are actually going to get together and have this meal. YBF: Well that’s so crazy because all of those things are my three favorite things. Daniel "Booby" Gibson's New Stripper Friend, Keyshia Cole's New Black Bob + Iggy Azalea Gets CUTESY With Nick Young Posted: 16 Nov 2013 08:19 AM PST While Keyshia Cole debuted a new hairdo, her hubby debuted a new "friend".  Find out what the Gibson-Coles are up to inside and see Iggy Azalea and Nick Young playing around.   Keyshia Cole kicked off her weekend with a new black bob and working in the studio.  She tweeted, "Changed it up a lil! Shout our to my girl #Fam! @devapink once again #Fam Holla at her she in LA! Headed to the the studio"  Keyshia'S been hitting the studio pretty heavy for the past few weeks working on a new album and mixtape.  She tweeted, "Been in the studio waaaay to long it's really time to go". But while Keyshia is in the studio.......... Keyshia's husband Daniel is in the strip club.  Last ight, he posted this pic from inside a strip cub in Houston and shouted out this stripper.    While the couple have played down rumors that they've split, we find it very suspect that Daniel is posting pics from inside the strip club....posing with and shouting out strippers.  Oh, and check out the stacks in the back.  Ha! We're thinking Keyshia and her producers should turn this into a song.  It could be a new joint about your man tricking off his money at the strip club when he should be at home loving you - featuing Nicki Minaj (of course).     Moving to a seemingly happy new couple....................   Iggy Azealea and her new boo thang Nick Young of the Lakers seem to be enjoyign each other's company.  We told you about the duo hooking up due to some serious Twitter flirting online and now things seem to moving nicely OFFLINE.   The Randomness: 1. Kerry Washington Chops It Up On "Chelsea Lately" + Kendrick Lamar BOYCOTTS "GQ" Over OFFENSIVE Mag Profile, GQ Editor RESPONDS (UPDATE) Posted: 15 Nov 2013 05:20 PM PST Kerry Washington dished to Chelsea Handler about her time on "SNL" and her "hot box" moment in Django Unchained.  Watch the clip inside and find out why Kendrick Lamar boycotted the GQ Men Of The Year party. On "Chelsea Lately" last night, "Scandal" star Kerry Washington joked about her "Lady Gaga" moment on "SNL" when she went through numerous costume changes.   "That was so fun! That was one of the best weeks of my life being able to go and play with those really smart, funny people. They have people moving stages and, like, people literally pick you up and toss you to the other side of the room and change your clothes while you stand there like a puppet/ At one point, I was hovering above ground because this woman held me while this other woman was changing my shoes and changing my wig. And fixing my makeup. And then your back on stage. It's extraordinary." She also revealed that Jamie Foxx helped her keep her sanity on the set of Django Unchained by reminding her that after she completed intense scenes dealing with the horrors of slavery, she would soon return to the set of "Scandal" where she played a powerful woman. Despite being named the "GQ Rapper Of The Year" Kendrick Lamar boycotted the mag's "Men Of The Year" gala over an unflattering profile it printed.  Kendrick was offended that the magazine article detailed the writer's "surprise" at his discipline and work ethic while romanticizing a dark time in hip hop and the excessive lifestyle of other rappers. The CEO of Kendrick's label Top Dawg Entertainment Anthony Tiffith told TMZ, "To say he was 'surprised at our discipline' is completely disrespectful ... Kendrick deserved to be accurately documented. The racial overtones immediately reminded everyone of a time in hip-hop that was destroyed by violence, resulting in the loss of two of our biggest stars [Tupac and B.I.G.] ... As a result of this misrepresentation, I pulled Kendrick from his performance at GQ's annual Man Of The Year party. While we think it's a tremendous honor to be named as one of the Men Of The Year, these lazy comparisons and offensive suggestions are something we won't tolerate."   Stand up for yourself Kendrick! UPDATE: In response to our coverage, GQ editor-in-chief Jim Nelson issued this statement on GQ.com, "Kendrick Lamar is one of the most talented new musicians to arrive on the scene in years. That's the reason we chose to celebrate him, wrote an incredibly positive article declaring him the next King of Rap, and gave him our highest honor: putting him on the cover of our Men of the Year issue. I'm not sure how you can spin that into a bad thing, and I encourage anyone interested to read the story and see for themselves. We were mystified and sorely disappointed by Top Dawg's decision to pull him at the last minute from the performance he had promised to give. Blige on the cover of SHAPE magazine's December 2013 issue.... 42 and fabulous!  MJB, who recently dropped her first Holiday album, A Mary Christmas, is showing off her fit bod for SHAPE. She often shows off her hardcore workout sessions with trainer Mark Jenkins on her Instagram account.  And it's clearly paying off! The Hip Hop Soul diva has been working non stop on the big and small screens as well.  She taped her performance for the CMA Christmas Special this week (airing December 2nd on ABC), she rocked the stage at a  concert for HSN in St. Petersburg this week, and she's gearing up for her big movie, Black Nativity.   In other magazine news, LUCKY magazine editor Eva Chan spoke to Women's Wear Daily about all the bruhaha surrounding Kerry Washington's not-so-fab December/January cover. “I realize that when you put something on social media, it’s meant to be a conversation,” she told WWD. “I’m still pretty new to this [being an editor in chief]. It’s only been four months, but I’ve been active in social media for a while now. Anything on social media is up for debate. Conversation is a good thing.” And yes, Anna Wintour--who overseas LUCKY mag as well, approved the cover art. “Anna as the artistic director was definitely aware of our cover selection and was very supportive,” Chen said, returning to the subject of Washington. “Anna always provides me with guidance. Tyler, The Creator was was spotted on the beach in Maui (wearing a pair of snug donut covered swimtrunks) as he and the rest of Odd Future went swimming ahead of tonight's performance on the island.  The show will include Frank Ocean, Left brain, Earl Sweatshirt and others. It was a busy week for Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson who received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this week.   Jennifer has also been doing press for a slew of films including the film The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Peete and her next major release, Black Nativity (in theaters November 27th).     Also bound for flight, and rocking new hair: Jada Pinkett Smith was also spotted on her way out of Los Angeles.... EXCLUSIVE: Sanaa Lathan, Taye Diggs & Nia Long On Taking Their Love Triangle OFF The Set While Filming "Best Man Holiday" Posted: 15 Nov 2013 11:47 AM PST TheYBF.com had the fabulous opportunity to sit down and dish it all with EVERY cast member of Best Man Holiday.  Throughout opening weekend, we'll be sharing our sit downs with the couples--and the love triangle--from the flick.    First up, Taye Diggs and his two gorgeous flames (both present & past--or is it past?? ) Sanaa Lathan and Nia Long.  Taye, Nia & Sanaa carry their love triangle woes from Best Man, into the sequel, Best Man Holiday.  But you may be surprised to see how they do so exactly.  After our screenng of the movie (which we loved!), we caught up with the trio in L.A. to see how they created all that chemistry, what really went down behind the scenes, and what they think about the drastic difference between the 1999 classic and the soon-to-be new classic. Here is YBF L.A. Cororrespondent Kalia Silva's quick chit chat: YBF: The Best Man Holiday was amazing, it’s going to be another classic! SANAA: Thank you so much. TAYE: Thank you! You guys were good too [to Sanaa and Nia]! NIA: He is the best man so… YBF: What is The Best Man Holiday about? TAYE: Relationships, maturity, mistakes, forgiveness… NIA: …the cycle of life… SANAA: …love, sex… NIA: …babies and cars… SANAA: …jealousy TAYE: …reunion.. YBF: What did you think about the plot twist when you first heard about he new story from Malcolm Lee? TAYE: I didn’t know how people would feel about me being a homosexual. It threw me off, but as an actor I embrace that. [Laughter] [Editor's Note: This was a JOKE said by Taye Diggs, this is not a spoiler.] SANAA: He’s just kidding! He’s just kidding by the way! I actually thought [the storyline you will see] was very moving. It is something that people deal with unfortunately. It made sense that after 15 years somebody would be going through something as challenging as that. TAYE: Very accurate to life. NIA: And when you get a bunch of black people in a room together there is drama! Let’s face it. [Laughter] YBF: You all have an amazing chemistry together, what was your favorite moment on set or off set because we hear that was fun? NIA: The movie behind the scenes, what went on behind the scenes with the cast was just. SANAA:…they should have done a reality show. We were all in Toronto, we all lived within two blocks of each other. We went out, we watching the Voice together. For some reason in Toronto at that time they played the Voice like five times a day! NIA: I love The Voice! SANAA: Yeah, we love it! We had so much fun. We went to the club! TAYE: Yeah! YBF: The club? TAYE: Yeah we were there for two months! YBF: Do you think we will see a Best Man 3? TAYE: Hopefully, that’s up to you [the audience], you have the power! NIA: Yes, it is up to you viewers to go and support out film! OH REALLY? Porsha Stewart Raises Eyebrows About Kordell BEATING Her! Posted: 15 Nov 2013 11:25 AM PST Porsha Stewart is raising eyebrows once again with what she ISN'T saying about her estranged hubby Kordell Stewart.  Check out the brand new preview for Sunday's episode where we get the hint that something physically abusive may have gone down...   Now that she's already stirred up drama around his sexuality, Porsha Stewart is doing it again.  This time, it's by insinuating domestic violence!  Yes, it seems almost likely that Kordell could have put his paws on his woman. In the upcoming episode of "Real Housewives of Atlanta," Kandi Burruss asks Porsha (and we're not sure what made her ask this particular question) if Kordell ever got physical.  Check out her looooooong pause below:   We'll be watching on Sunday to see how this plays out. Mariah Carey DONS Leather Corset & Diva Fan At OUT100 GALA, Publicly BLASTS Sound Engineer For "The Art Of Letting Go" MIXUP Posted: 15 Nov 2013 10:40 AM PST Mariah Carey appeared at the OUT100 Gala last night wearing a long sexy gown with a cleavage-bearing leather corset and matching gloves. See the outfit inside and read Mimi's "diva" blowup at her sound engineer's error! Posing alongside former Blondie singer Debbie Harry, and editor-in-chief of OUT magazine Aaron Hicklin, Mariah Carey attended the 19th Annual Out100 Awards Presented at Terminal 5 in NYC last night.  And had her diva fan right there with her, of course.   She looked amazing in her leather-corset gown which she completed with lace gloves. In addition to her show-stopping outfit, Mimi has another high-profile diva moment this week when she publicly blasted her sound engineer for uploading the wrong version of her new single "The Art Of Letting Go".  With quips like "a mistake was made by a brand new sound engineer whose only task was to press the space bar", Mimi ripped her "employee" a new one right in front of her 14 million FACEBOOK fans.  She wrote,  Hey Lambs, I have to tell you this, I can't do what I always do and say nothing at all. It is 3:30am (11.14), and I'm sitting on my bathroom floor, very upset by some news I just got from a close friend and employee. Lucky her, she was "nominated" to deliver this message to me after the long awaited 11.11 moment and the Jimmy Fallon show, knowing how upset I would be. Not because the world has come to an end or something, but because this 11.11 listening party was so important to me on a core level as a musician, who cares so much about how my fans hear my music for the first time that I didn't even allow a snippet to be released until 11 on the dot. To cut to the chase, a mistake was made by a brand new sound engineer whose only task was to press the space bar and upload the song to Facebook, while my team, and an incredible group of people from Facebook, partied while listening to the properly mixed & mastered version of "The Art of Letting Go" on repeat from my iPod on my home speakers. Clearly, I was focused on answering your questions during the Q&A. There was no reason for me to wonder if the final mix we were listening to in that room together was different than what you were listening to!!!!! Like I always say, I am involved with every record I make, from the inception to the completion of the song. Every nuance of the beat or vocal matters to me. Even if the differences may seem slight to you, I had put time, effort and emotions into "The Art of Letting Go" and the real mix is how I intended for you to hear the song. Rather than remove the old version from Facebook (the iTunes version is the real one), I just figured I would put up the real mix and allow you to listen to it back-to-back, should you choose to do so and tell me what you think the differences are. I want you to hear it like you're hearing it for the first time with me, and I will answer any questions that you have, pertaining to the song. You know that I don't comment on gossip, I typically don't respond to things like this or go into so much detail to the world, but this is something I'm upset about and I wish I would have known sooner. There's no doubt in my mind that this sounds like a self absorbed diva on a "woe-is-me" tangent about a couple of ad libs or some other triviality, but the reality is this is me, focusing solely on the record, wanting you to hear it and experience it the right way. I love and appreciate you so much for taking the time to even glance at this 20-page "diva in distress" thesis. Thank you for letting me vent, this is another reason why Facebook rocks! Terrence Howard Says Robert Downey, Jr. BACKSTABBED Him Over "Iron Man" + Nia Long DISHES On Dating RHOA's Peter Thomas On "WWHL" Posted: 15 Nov 2013 09:56 AM PST Nia Long and Terrence Howard stopped by "WWHL" last night where Terrence told a shocking story of betrayal and Nia dished on dating "RHOA" husband Peter Thomas. Watch the cocktail infused clips inside.....   On last night's episode of "WWHL", Nia Long and Terrence Howard stopped in to promote The Best Man Holiday (in theaters today).  During their hilarious chat with Andy Cohen, a few very interesting tidbits emerged.   First, Nia and Terrence admitted that they "tried" to date.  Terrence said Nia shut him down for trying to come to her house to smash! Also, Nia talked about dating "RHOA" star Peter Thomas and Terrence dished on that infamous lapdance that Beyonce gave him at the BET Awards a few years ago.  FUN FACT:  Terrence said that there was chemistry between him and Beyonce at one point in time but since he didn't want to piss off Jay-Z, he tried to talk to one of her girls instead!  The most interesting story of the evening was Terrence explaining how Robert Downey Jr. backstabbed him during contract negotiations for the Iron Man sequels.  If you're wondering why T didn't return for the sequels (Don Cheadle took his role), he says it's because RDJ didn't return his phone calls for three months....and proceeded to take his money!
