A therapist in the U.K. says she can cure the ‘homosexual problem’ by sending gay men on therapy sessions with straight men who can show them how to have relations with women. A psychotherapist faces unemployment after trying to ‘convert’ a homosexual man. Lesley Pilkington, 60, a therapist for 20 years, is accused of ‘praying to God’ to ‘heal’ the patient. Mrs Pilkington, will appear at a landmark disciplinary hearing this week where she faces being stripped of her accreditation to the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. The patient, a homosexual rights campaigner, secretly recorded her controversial treatment at two sessions before reporting her to the association.
A small group of counsellors believe all men are born heterosexual, but some choose a gay lifestyle which can be changed through therapy.
Mrs Pilkington, a devout Christian, told the Sunday Telegraph that her method – Sexual Orientation Change Efforts – is legitimate and effective.
Some of the therapy, from the U.S.,involves sending patients away with straight men to ‘encourage their masculinity and ‘in time develop healthy relationships with women.’ But the counselling has been described as ‘absurd’ and the Royal College of Psychiatrists said the ‘so-called treatments of homosexuality’ allow prejudice to flourish. Mrs Pilkington’s 29-year-old son is gay, but she said he simply has a ‘homosexual problem.’
She treated journalist Patrick Strudwick at her private practice based at her home in Chorleywood, Hertfordshire, after he approached her at a Christian conference. He recorded the sessions on a tape machine strapped to his stomach. Asked if she viewed homosexuality as a ‘mental illness, an addiction or an anit-religious phenomenon’, she replied: ‘It is all of that’. In the disciplinary letter sent to her by BACP, she is accused of having an ‘agenda that homosexuality is wrong and that gay people can change and you allegedly attempted to inflict these views on him.’ Mrs Pilkington accused Strudwick of entrapment. She said: ‘He told me was looking for a treatment for being gay. ‘I told him I only work using a Christian biblical framework and he said that was exactly what he wanted.’
Her defense is being funded by the Christian Legal Center which has instructed a leading religious rights barrister to fight the case.
It’s interesting to point out that the therapist might be wrong for assuming that homosexuality is a problem, but if a gay man seeks a therapists advice to ‘heal’ him, wouldn’t that mean he views it as one as well. #justsayin Source

Lauren Hill is back to being a diva. Concertgoers in Atlanta blasted her for showing up late and refusing to sing the classics that made people love her in the first place. The 35-year-old narcissist left Atlanta concertgoers infuriated and unimpressed with her sold-out show at Atlanta's Center Stage last night. After the show, one fan, a well-connected industry insider, called me to say Hill's Atlanta show was "very disappointing." The source said local DJ Cash played old school music and kept the audience so crunk that when Hill finally rushed out onstage just after midnight, the expectations for a great show were high. It was all love when the mother of 5 first hit the stage 3 hours late for her advertised 9 p.m. show. Lauryn promptly confused her fans by announcing that she was tired of "playing the same music night after night." Hill told the shocked audience that she wanted to play something different. She then instructed her band to speed up the music, which rendered her classic hits unrecognizable. The insider said Hill urged the audience to sing along, saying, "I want crowd participation." "But nobody could participate because NOBODY knew the music!," said the fan. "Everybody was looking around like 'WHAT SONG IS THIS???'"
"It was new music completely," the frustrated fan continued. "The lyrics were the same, but you had to be on ecstasy to follow the music!" To complicate the situation further, the fan said the band was way too loud. "We kept asking her to tell the band to turn the music down," said the fan. "We couldn't hear her." The source said other concertgoers booed the singer and then took their bags and purses and "stomped out" of the theater. "They didn't walk out — they stomped out!" she emphasized. The insider eventually gave up and walked out as well. Lauryn's next stop on her tour is St. Louis tomorrow (Jan. 16). If you're planning on attending her show at The Pageant Theater, just remember: you were warned.
Wow. People don’t pay to sing songs, they pay to hear songs sung ON TIME. Who waits 3 hours for anybody to get anywhere? Source

His mother, Andraya M. Howard, 25, would leave the apartment door unlocked and microwave dinners in the freezer for him, they said. Police arrested Howard at the apartment Thursday night on a charge of endangering the welfare of a child. She remained free on $25,000 bail after arraignment before District Judge Ann L. Young in Reading Central Court. A policeman found the boy alone in a disheveled apartment Dec. 16 about 2 a.m. after the boy called 9-1-1 and told dispatchers he was home alone. He told Patrolman Kevin M. Quinter that he called his mother’s cell phone about 20 times to find out where she was. He last spoke to her when he called her after getting off the bus. She said she was at a tanning salon and would be home soon. The apartment looked like it had been ransacked, with women’s undergarments scattered throughout the living room. A small dog was in a cage, and dog feces and dog urine were in several places in the apartment.

SMH: An assistant manager at McDonald’s was fired after allowing Minnesota Vikings star Adrian Peterson to use the bathroom while the restaurant was closed. While working the late-night drive-thru shift at 3 a.m., a female employee encountered a man standing outside the window who asked to come inside and use the restroom. After a little while, she realized it was the popular Minnesota Vikings star and opened the door for him to come inside and use the facilities. (The seating area at the restaurant is normally closed during the late-night hours.) One week later, the mother of three was fired for the offense. “He’s a public figure… I know him better than some of the maintenance people that come in and out,” she told The Consumerist. “I never thought in a million years that that decision was going to cost me my career.” Jeez, McDonald’s. It’s not like she was letting in Brett Favre(notes) or Bryant McKinnie(notes). He’s Adrian Peterson, the most famous Vikings player of all! If you can’t do a solid for AD, who can you? There’s a silver lining at the end of these golden arches, though: After the local media reported on the woman’s termination, McDonald’s gave her back her old job. Let this be a lesson to all you fast-food employees keen on handing out favors to famous athletes. It doesn’t matter if Tom Brady(notes) walks through those doors; he has to pay $0.39 for supersizing just like everyone else.
