Raz B's Brother Ricky Romance Issues Smartass Apology For Twitter Feud

Posted: 13 Jan 2011 06:55 AM PST

Ricky Romance, Raz B's brother, has finally spoken out about his role in the Chris Brown Twitter feud.  Get the deets inside...

Seems as Ricky, has been playing with his Webster's dictionary dropping all king of fancy words like fallaciloquences, nanocephalous, macrotus and humgruffin in his new "message" about Chris.  This was supposed to be an apology:

"I would like to extend my most sincere apologies to the elderly and youth of our nation for my sudden acrasial message of violence towards other individuals of unimportance."

I must eclaircise any misunderstandings that I am a Man of irrational aggression and behavior.

In no way am I attempting to justify my actions towards persons of high immaturity levels and hypocritical methods of “becoming a better person,” I was wrong.

My unexpected reaction to fallaciloquences embellished with deceitful humgruffin cover-ups and unnecessary remarks towards my younger brother enraged me.

Ok...so i guess we can see he is a smart-ass.  That's no way to apologize for a murder threat.  Let's do something more productive in 2011 people.

Carmelo Anthony Says Leave His Wife Alone+Swizz Beatz Teams Up With Aston Martin Rapide

Posted: 13 Jan 2011 04:44 AM PST

Carmelo is putting the smack down on those rumors that his wife, LaLa Vazquez Anthony, has anything to do with him wanting to be traded out of Denver.  His harsh words for the haters and doubters, plus Swizz Beatz's first look at his fab collabo with Aston Martin...

After Melo turned down a $64 mill 3-year extension deal for the Denver Nuggets, folks were up in arms saying he may be going bacck home to NYC to the NY Knicks or Nets because LaLa is pushing him to leave Denver.

Melo told reporters to leave his wife out of it because "La La has nothing to do with anything!"  Yahoo Sports reports:

Anthony was in good spirits while answering media questions following his 28-point performance in a 132-98 blowout of the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday. But once he was asked about the perception that his wife was calling the shots on his NBA career, his mood instantly changed.

“Y’all put this in bold words, La La has nothing to do with anything,” Anthony said. “Whatever is my decision, she is going to support me. She has nothing to do with me staying or leaving. Nothing. So please keep her out of it. Thank you.

“People have to write about something and [they] come up with, ‘She don’t want to be here.’ She has nothing to do with that. This is my career. This is my decision. Of course, I got to consult her with everything. It wasn’t one conversation I had with her where she said, ‘Let’s get out of Denver.’ ”

“It’s normal, you got to consult with your family about decisions like that,” Anthony said. “That’s all she has been doing. She hasn’t had any say-so what I should do or where I should go.”

Rep for your wife Melo!

Swizz Beatz has joined forces with the uber luxe British vehicle company Aston Martin to create a unique film trilogy showcasing the iconic company's stunning new sportscar, the Rapide. Aston Martin and Swizz Beatz just released Part I of the series:

In music news:

Aretha Franklin called Wendy Williams live yesterday to update her many fans on her health and Halle Berry playing her in a biopic. Here are the highlights:

ON HEALTH:

Wendy: I’ve never made it a secret that I love Aretha Franklin and recently it’s been being reported that Aretha Franklin was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Well naturally we’ve all been concerned about our ‘Queen of Soul’ so we wanted to know how she is doing and she’s joining us now on the telephone from her home in Detroit [Michigan.] Ladies and gentlemen the one and only Aretha Franklin.  Hi Aretha!

Aretha: Hi Wendy, how you doin’?

WW: How you doin’?AF: And how you doin’?

WW: Miss Franklin you know that you are my dream guest on the show and I’ll take you any way I can get you so here you are on the phone. How is your health?

AF: Thank you my health is superb. It is superb.

WW: Now Miss Franklin I want you to know in case you aren’t watching your screen right now in Detroit but the picture we are showing is the exact one that you requested that you sent to us to show.

AF: That’s my most recent PR picture.

WW: It’s beautiful in the red. You look beautiful the red and everything.

AF: Now thank you, I love your hair.

WW: Thank you! You know I love my wigs Miss Franklin.

AF: Alright girl.

ON RECOVERY

WW: Now because of your recent health and now your recovery- by the way Miss Franklin, where are you recovering, are you up in your bedroom right now?

AF: No I came down to the hotel for a few days because I wanted to change the scenery so I just came down to the hotel, one of the casino hotels in downtown Detroit.

WW: Luxurious.

AF: I’m looking for a fabulous beach. I think the closest place would probably be Hilton Head.

WW: Aren’t we all but once you do that speedy recovery, that’s exactly where you will be going first…
AF: I do still have two more weeks of down time before I can get out.

WW: Oh and then when you get out- Miss Franklin do you actually drive? Do you get behind a wheel and drive?

AF: No I don’t drive. I don’t drive.

ON TOURING:

WW: Now are you planning on…rescheduling your tours anytime soon?

AF: Absolutely, all of the dates I had to cancel- Radio City, Kansas City, Washington and Virginia will be rescheduled right off the top.

ON MUSIC:

AF: Now tell me this. Who are you listening to?

WW: Well I listen to you. That’s why I’m glad you’re calling. You know I read all the magazines cause I know you’re a fan of the show I heard it through the pipeline…you know we love hot topics.

AR: I mean musical artists

WW: Oh musical artists, oh let me see. Gee I like a lot, everybody from Ke$ha and Lady GaGa to Rick Ross. You know I still like my hip hop, but I love the classics- I love you [Aretha Franklin] and Sylvester…remember Sylvester?

AR: Oh absolutely. Do you love the song that R. Kelly just recorded?

WW: Yeah, you know…

AF: ‘When A Woman Loves’ [name of song]

WW: Yes.

AR: I think any woman that’s ever been in love will readily relate to that song. He is singing that song. I mean he is singing his heart and his soul out. You know if he isn’t careful I might become a cougar.

ON BIOPIC:

WW: Ohhh so see, that’s why I’m glad you’re on the phone. Hey by the way, they [production] is telling me we have to wrap up but before we do that. I heard there is a biopic in the process for your life and who’s going to be playing you.

AF: Yes, for the last four years we’ve been talking about that and I have had a number of offers but unfortunately they were not good offers. Now we have something on the table. They have all of the financing on one project and the second project, he is in the process of writing things for me to approve.

WW: And who’s you?

AF: Halle Berry is my pick…[inaudible]…and there’s a young Aretha that is yet to be named.

WW: Miss Franklin…Miss Franklin are you there?

AF: I’m here Miss Wendy.

WW: So miss Franklin I know when you go on tour you are going to pass through New York and I just love and respect and revere you so much. I would like to do two things with you.
AF: Ok.

WW: And you just mull this over. I want you to come to New York and I would like to share a meal with you at a restaurant, just us- do that girl talk. We’ll have the cameras but not all up in our face- just discreetly in the corner. And then I would like for us to continue our conversation here [The Wendy Williams Show] on the couch and if you’re feeling up to it you can perform but if we do nothing more than have girl talk. I would love that.

AF: Ok. That sounds good, I’ll put it at the top of my list.

WW: Now you don’t have to answer me now, if you don’t want to but just think about that and speedy recovery and thank you so much for calling.

AF: Thank you Wendy…I would like to thank the audience at home [slightly inaudible]

Glad to hear she is in good spirits and doing well.

SO ICEY!  Gucci Mane hopped up out of rehab/mental facility a couple days ago.  And he may need to demand a refund.  Dude visited Tenth Street Tattoo in Atlanta today.  And got this brand new little nugget of classiness--a big ass ice cream cone complete with color, 3 scoops and the word "Brrr"--covering his whole right facial cheek.

Read on for more pics of the foolery....

Wow.  Tattoo artist and owner of the shop, Shane Willoughby, is the artist behind Gucci's newest tattoo addition.  And the master piercer in the shop--Jason Murray--tweeted the pics:

Not sure if Gucci was high or not when he did this, but by the looks of his eyes we're going with YES.  Like his ridiculous ice cream chain wasn't enough.  I get you want to rep for your "So Icey" record label and all....but tattooing an entire ice cream cone with red lightening bolts flying out of it on your face is NOT gangsta.  And it's going too damn far.  Jesus help the chil'ren...

Two-and-a-half year old Nahla Aubrey and her many faces were spotted running errands around L.A. with her mama Halle.  We've got pics of her cuteness when you read on...

These faces crack me up.  Such a cute outfit for Nahla though.  The twosome were spotted hitting up a luggage store before heading to a bakery so that Halle could pick up a pre-ordered cake.

Fun mommy-and-me times.  Even though HB looks less than enthused by the flashing lights...

Beyonce's Ex-Assistant Drops Details About INSIDE Jay-Z & Beyonce's Relationship

Posted: 12 Jan 2011 10:19 AM PST

Ever wondered what being in the room with Jay-Z and Beyonce was like toward the beginning of their relationship pre-nuptials?  Well a woman named Jessica LaShawn says she witnessed the crazy love between the two back in 2003 while she served as one of Beyonce's personal assistants.  And she's dishing how the two really got down.

Read on for the deets, plus a twitpic of Bey working in the studio recently...

Jessica Lashawn wrote this article for Chicago Now's website.  And the purpose was to discuss whether people can really find a soul mate meant for them in life, and how important sharing your life with that one special person really is.  So she used her former boss Beyonce as an example.

Here's an excerpt from her article where she discusses Jay and Bey's first time working together on a live performance, and how their love for each other was so obvious and powerful that everyone around them could see.  Bey turned into a girl with a school crush and Jay couldn't hide his feelings either, despite trying to maintain that rapper facade:

During the BET Awards in 2003 I witnessed the makings of a real relationship between two overly focused individuals willing to sacrifice and make time for each other in the midst of accomplishing their personalized greatness. I was the personal assistant to Beyonce while she prepared for the debut of her new single Deja Vu. I can recall having the song on repeat throughout the duration of my flight from Chicago to LA and feeling captivated by the 808's and horns. There was something about the song that made me feel as if I were being transported to another place all in the name of love. Like most people, I soon realized that the passion hidden behind Beyonce's vocals was fueled by her devotion and love for none other than Jay Z.

I sat there in amazement as I watched Beyonce go over every step as if her life depended on it. I'd heard all the stories and rumors that she was evil and possibly the daughter of Satan but none of that surfaced. A prime example of her down-to-earth-ness was displayed when she happened to be thirsty and it was my job to get her some water but she chose to go with me in order to ease her mind. She was sweet and reminded me of that home girl we all have that no matter what she just wants to laugh at the end of the day.

Everything was going well until Beyonce was informed that Jay Z missed his flight and wouldn't be able to make it to the show and perform. Her face went sour as she took a moment to squat on the floor and pout. She wasn't sad about him not doing his verse but the fact that she wouldn't see him as soon as she'd planned. She couldn't help but mumble to her mother that she missed him. She forced herself not to cry. Stood up and yelled from the top of her lungs.... "let's take it from the top." The passion and determination in her voice echoed throughout the empty theater as she stood on top of a short ladder that served as her entrance wagon.

Then a voice rang out saying "Hey You."

Beyonce's face lit up as she buckled her knees and covered her face to hide a child like smile followed by adorable cheeks red and wet with embarrassing tears. It was HIM. He walked in calm and cool but as he got closer he couldn't help but smile and reach out to her and hold her while placing his head gently on top of hers and shaking it. He said hi to her mom and mentioned that he wanted to fake her (Beyonce) out and say he wasn't coming just to surprise her and it worked. The two clicked instantly and started rehearsing but not before a hint of comfort was relaxed on their faces as they found solace within each others arms. After Beyonce let go and slowly removed her head from the chest of the man that inspired the lyrics to the song- she ran to her place- ready to start it all over again.

Every beat flowed effortlessly like water between the two. They stopped to acknowledge that this was their first time performing the song and even arranging choreography. The chemistry was amazing and I felt honored to have a front row seat for it all.

Loves it.

BONUS: Beyonce was recently in the studio for a 6-day stint with Kanye West's "Power" producer, Symbolyc 1 (who is also from Houston).  Here's what S1 he had to say about their session:

Me, Beyonce, and Caleb was in the studio last night killing it! Excited about session part 2 today! 2011 Let’s Go! Got session part 2 with Beyonce today! Excited to see what were gonna create today after last nights session. God is Great! S1 2011. Day 3: A couple meetings then back in the lab with Beyonce today. Yesterdays session was CRAZY! Stay Tuned…… Not going to bed anytime soon. Beyonce got us in here working and I’m luvin every bit of it. Me and Caleb on some other right now. Lol. My last day in the lab with Beyonce today. Finishing up some Monsters! Well it was supposed to be my last day in here with Bey but she wants me stay longer. 3 words. Rescheduling My Flight! Lol. Day 5 in with Beyonce again. Trying to finish these other production/song task up. Everything is sounding really GREAT and BIG!!!! Praise the Lord I made it back home safely! Had a great 6 days in the lab with Beyonce. INCREDIBLE music we made. Great start for #2011

Can't wait....

Nicki Minaj Rocks Her Scary Ego For "V" Magazine's Discovery Issue

Posted: 12 Jan 2011 07:52 AM PST

Nicki Minaj covers this month's V Magazine and gets painted in some animal and tribal inspired prints.  See her photo spread and read the full article inside...

Nicki rocks this patterned Versace number as a part of the Discovery Issue that was photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinood Matadin

“Everything I do has been approved by me personally. My team is mostly made up of guys, but none of them would ever think about telling me what to wear or what to do with my hair. They know that ultimately I’m gonna do what I’m gonna do.” –Nicki Minaj

She did her usual multi colored looks and faces for the shoot.

Nicki recently talked about the shoot on Twitter saying "Its safe to say my cover shoot in V Magazine is dedicated to my gays and fashionistas. My most bad ass shoot to date. On stands in 3 days ;)"

Here's the article from "V" Magazine:

The Rise and Rise of NICKI MINAJ – The tough-talking, one-upping, bodacious, curvaceous Nicki Minaj is taking music to places cooler and more colorful than ever. And in the boys’ club of the 21st-century hip hop, she’s stolen every scene to become the genre’s Barbie-pink princess. Secretly, though, she’s gunning for queen.

“Everything I do has been approved by me personally. My team is mostly made up of guys, but none of them would ever think about telling me what to wear or what to do with my hair. They know that ultimately I’m gonna do what I’m gonna do.” –Nicki Minaj

During a radio interview last summer in support of Kanye West’s new single, “Monster” – a psych-rap posse track featuring Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, and indie-folk singer Bon Iver – West declared Minaj to be “the scariest artist in the game right now – she has the most potential to be the number two rapper of all time.” (Number one, in Kanye’s mind, being Eminem.) It was the kind of outré pronouncement we’ve come to expect from West, but nevertheless the sound bite set off serious reverberations in the rap community. Nicki Minaj…the funny face with the Day-Glo wigs, bounteous curves, and multiple personalities? Number two rapper of all time? In-old school hip hop circles the idea could be considered profane.

Now, just in the wake of her debut album, Minaj is deadly serious about not taking it all too seriously. “I’m an entertainer - I like to make people laugh,” she says. “Some will hate it and some will love it, but all will remember it. And that’s what I want: to be remembered. Even if I’m saying something hard-core or controversial, there’s always a touch of humor, and if you don’t like it, it means I’m stirring things up inside of you.” At the same time, there’s a lot going on inside the artist’s own head. “I just always want to do ‘me,’ but ‘me’ changes every day. I would crumble up and die if I had to wake up and be the same person every day. I don’t silence those voices anymore. I just let them speak.” -V
