Jim Carrey is OFFICIALLY back as Lloyd Christmas for Dumb & Dumber To, the sequel to the 1994 hit comedy flick!

The actor might be taking a method approach with his character this time around though, as he was spotted out at dinner last night with his famous chipped tooth!

Thought that was just a makeup trick? Think again!

We hear that Jim is LEGIT missing a chunk of his front tooth from an accident he suffered as a child! He chose to take the cap off for the first film and it would appear he's doing the same for the sequel!

Jim recently got on Twitter to flash his fans with his broken smile, tweeting:

We're grinning like idiots too over how excited we are to see Jim and Jeff Daniels back on the big screen together!

The more we learn about Zefron's horrible addiction, the more we just want to nuzzle our face into his perfectly chiseled chest and weep!!!

The superstar actor/sultry seXXX symbol apparently went to great lengths to hide his drug abuse and subsequent rehab; the public finding out about his addiction troubles has turned into his "worst nightmare"!

Folks close to the situation say Zac Efron kept his substance abuse secret for so long because the Neighbors' star's controlling nature allowed him to somehow always keep his cool!

One source revealed:

"Zac is really good at keeping it together. He's a huge control freak and has always been obsessed with keeping his partying on the down low, this getting out is his worst nightmare. He cares so much about keeping his private life private."

We can definitely imagine how his adoring public finding out all these dirty secrets could feel severely traumatizing, but some are defending his behavior as typical Hollywood shenanigans!

The source continued:

"Zac's young and he likes to party. But it's pretty standard in this town, everyone dabbles in drugs, it's just a part of young Hollywood. Most of them just hide it well and Zac is a perfect example of that."

Ugh!!! Many people may "dabble" in drugs, but abusing them is NEVER safe!

Thankfully, Zac's rep earlier confirmed that he is "happy and not drinking."

Hopefully this extra public scrutiny won't jeopardize his sobriety!
