SPOTTED: Kanye West ATTENDS LA Dodgers GAME With Rob Kardashian + FIRST Post-Delivery Pics Of Kanye With Kim...And Baby North West Posted: 15 Aug 2013 07:55 AM PDT Kanye West was spotted out at the LA Dodgers game last night.  See the pic inside and check out the first pics of Kanye and Kim Kardashian with their daughter North West.     Kanye West was spotted at the LA Dodgers vs. NY Mets game yesterday in LA.  The "New Slaves" rapper attended the game with Rob Kardashian and according to sources, was boo'ed when his face appeared on the JUMBOtron. But we're sure Kanye's ego wasn't ruffled by a few negative boos as he's used to being on the receiving end of criticism.  Meanwhile, Yeezus is set to make MTV history when he walks onstage to perform "BLKKK SKKKN HEAD" at the 2013 VMAS on August 25 at 9pmET.   And in other Kanye pics....... Kanye and Kim Kardashian were spotted out with their daughter North West for the first time yesterday since little Nori was born.  Of course, there's no face pics of the baby since Kanye really thinks Anna Wintour is going to cave on giving that baby a "debut" cover...or something. Regardless, we can't post the family outing pics here, but you can check 'em out here. In the photoset that has emerged, we see KimYe and North West on their way to an LA Medical facility.  The baby girl is covered by a blanket and being carried by a nurse.  Meanwhile, Kim is wearing a baggy denim shirt (to conceal her post-baby bod) and has a second shirt tied around her waist.  It looks like she's makeup free....but we're sure she knew at least one camera would spot her.  And for a change....Kanye is smiling!  He even playfully tugs as the shirt she has on her waist.  He looks...dare we say it.....HAPPY!

NOT SO FUNNY: Russell Simmons RESPONDS To Def Jam "Harriet Tubman Sex Tape" Parody, But Was That Enough? Posted: 15 Aug 2013 06:33 AM PDT In case you missed it, a controversial "Harriet Tubman" sex tape parody was uploaded to the All Def Digital Digital YOUTUBE Channel--which is headed up by Russell Simmons--and now Mr. Simmons is responding to the controversy.  See what he said and watch the clip inside. "Black" social media set off a storm in popping off on Russell Simmons via Twitter and other means this week after a controversial parody of a Harriet Tubman sex tape appeared on a YOUTUBE channel headed up by Russ' Def Digital group.  Amid the controversy, the video was yanked by Russ from the site and he responded with an unapologetic statement: "In the whole history of Def Comedy Jam, I've never taken down a controversial comedian.  When my buddies from the NAACP called and asked me to take down the Harriet Tubman video from the All Def Digital YouTube channel and apologize, I agreed. "I'm a very liberal person with thick skin. My first impression of the Harriet Tubman piece was that it was about what one of actors said in the video, that 162 years later, there's still tremendous injustice. And with Harriet Tubman outwitting the slave master? I thought it was politically correct. Silly me. I can now understand why so many people are upset. I have taken down the video. Lastly, I would never condone violence against women in any form, and for all of those I offended, I am sincerely sorry."   Ummmm.....was this an apology?  It almost seems like Russell thought the video was funny....but he understands why you might be mad.  So therefore, he did folks a favor by removing it.  One has to wonder why anyone--especially pro-anything that belittles women or any race Russell Simmons like he portrays himself--thought this was funny. We're still seeing top editors and prominent writers in the black community going off about Russell's handling of the situation.   EBONY mag's Digital News+Life Editor, Jamilah Lemieux, tweeted: Video is down but this isn't over.... There is actually a Colored fella on here talking about how critiquing Russell for that video is an "assault" on his legacy. Going to bed.... It's taking everything in me not to call this essay "Harriet Tubman Should Have Left Your Great Great Great Grandfather on the Plantation" And author Dream Hampton said, before breaking down what the anatomy of an apology actually is: It's important that apologies really mean something. It is an opportunity for the offender to be transformed. Uncle Rush also tweeted, And this morning, Russell's brother Danny said via hs FB page that the "apology" should be enough, because human beings make mistakes: My last word on the Harriet Tubmam video that was on Russ new all def digital. My brother has pulled the video and made an apology. With that said Russell has made many many positive contributions to culture and the struggle of poor and black people worldwide. This video was a mistake but what also bothers me is how many people were quickly eager to denigrate and ridicule him. Instead of pointing out the error many rushed to belittle him. He is a human and humans do make mistakes. If they are big enough to admit them they make corrections. ..he did. We are close and I love him so please dont expect me to have negative things to say about my brother...I for one know how many people he helps daily both privately and publicly. I know how he gives of himself and his wealth. Thank u Russ for taking this down and continuing to fight for the betterment of poor and oppressed people everywhere. Love u dude. WIG SNATCHERY: Tamar Gets The Last Word In WIG BEEF With K.Michelle?! + Danity Kane Prepping A Possible VMAs Day Comeback? Posted: 14 Aug 2013 07:17 PM PDT K.Michelle and Tamar Braxton have re-ignited their beef.  But Tamar seems to have gotten the last word today after the wig snatchery took place.  Get the deets inside, plus an update on Danity Kane getting the band back together just in time for the 2013 MTV VMAs.... Another day, another wig beef.  Apparently, Tamar Braxton felt like her enemy K.Michelle had jacked her blonde wig style this week.  Two weeks ago, the "Love & War" singer showed of her post baby bod at a live show in L.A.  And just a couple days ago, K.Michelle was spotted wearing a similar wig as she was on her promo runs for her new album Rebellious Soul. RESPONSES TO KENDRICK: Rappers Who WEREN'T Name Checked Clap Back At Kendrick Lamar's "Control" Verse + Wale Gives His Take Posted: 14 Aug 2013 02:57 PM PDT With there being so many responses via rap songs to Kendrick Lamar's epic verse on Big Sean's new "Control" track, we decided to compile a list for ya.  Interestingly, almost none of the folks responding were even name checked by Kendrick on the track.  But Wale was, and we've got his take on what Kendrick was trying to do.... In case you're wondering what Mr. Folarin has to say about getting name checked in Kendrick's latest verse that some interpret as a diss -- but we label it a call to action to make the genre of hip hop better -- he's not the least bit insulted. He's actually taking it as a compliment: He told Rolling Out today: Kendrick is a phenomenal rapper. It was a great verse from Kendrick. But I think people are taking it the wrong way. He said my name and a few other names and also said he was the best rapper. I say that I’m the best rapper in every song I’m on, I just don’t call out names. He just did it a different way. It just hasn’t happened that way in a long time. Those type of records usually come from the bitter rapper who has had his time pass. Since it hasn’t been done by anyone in their prime, it felt shocking. Kendrick gave you a good verse and just named rappers while doing it. Every rapper brags in their own way. He took the position of, ‘whoever is standing in my way, I’m going to do something to you.’ I thank him for mentioning me in that category. I may have felt a certain way if he didn’t mention me. He mentioned the rapper [Drake] who is going to sell the most records this year, and he mentioned the rapper who has sold the most records thus far in 2013. I think I’m in good company. Wale's no stranger to putting his (usually rightful) ego on display.  So he continued: But I always feel that I’m the best rapper. There are a lot of rappers who have done it for a long time who will tell you that I’m their favorite rapper. In this day and age, the hate is 10 times louder than the love. If someone says, ‘F– you’ it’s a scream. But if they say, ‘You’re the greatest’ it’s a whisper.” Agreed.  By the way, Big Sean himself said when he was sent Kendrick's verse, he had already laid down his.  So he "cracked up" when he heard Kendrick's and decided not to go back and change his own...because that would be cheating.       Wale is covering a recent issue of RO, and they posted a sneak peek of his spread.    But some rappers took the verse a little more personal....maybe because they weren't named at all?  Especially when it seems the fellas that Kendrick DID name are new schoolers who actually have the potential to raise the bar.  Lupe Fiasco, Cassidy, Joell Ortiz of Slaughterhouse, B.o.B., Cassidy, and even little Astro got in on the responses.  Check 'em all out below.  Kendrick got folks in their feelings in all kinds of ways:   MTV has a few more, if you care. Coming to theaters on December 13, Tyler Perry will release Tyler Perry’s A Madea Christmas. Shown atop, we have the first pic of Tyler (in character as Madea) with his co-star Anna Maria Horsford. As usual, Tyler is directing, writing, producing, starring in...and probably catering, acting as the set paparazzi, acting as his own stunt double  and everything else for this film (along with Ozzie Areu and Matt Moore). The flick also stars  Chad Michael Murray, Alicia Witt, Larry the Cable Guy, Tika Sumpter, Eric Lively, Lisa Whelchel, and Kathy Najimy. According to Blackfilm.com, here's the plot: "Madea gets coaxed into helping a friend pay her daughter a surprise visit in the country for Christmas, but the biggest surprise is what they’ll find when they arrive. As the small, rural town prepares for its annual Christmas Carnival, new secrets are revealed and old relationships are tested while Madea dishes her own brand of Christmas Spirit to all." In other Tyler Perry news, his soap opeara on OWN, The Haves and The Have Nots, has reached over 2 million viewers and has helped OWN turn a profit.  That play-going crowd is nothing to play with...   And in short films.....   A few months ago, we interviewed Ava DuVernay, the fabulous film director who won at Sundance for Middle of Nowhere. Ava, who went on to direct Gabrielle Union and Alfre Woodard in The Door a short film for Prada, has now directed a new short for "SAY YES". The film explores the power of the affirmative, and the beauty that blossoms from embracing life. It was inspired by the Fashion Fair lip color, Say Yes. Ava discussed the project saying, "I was thrilled to be asked to create a film for Fashion Fair, a brand that has always embraced women of color, and that women of color have so often embraced. The film is a meditation on the power of 'yes,' illustrating what can happen when we affirm our family, our friends, ourselves. I also thought about the many ways that Fashion Fair says 'yes' to us. Big Sean, Girlfriend Naya, Kevin Hart & More Celebrate HALL OF FAME Album At Moët Rose Lounge, Plaques & Bottles Ensue Posted: 14 Aug 2013 11:47 AM PDT Big Sean has done G.O.O.D.  So he and his music fam (and his girlfriend Naya Rivera) celebrated 10 million singles sold and his upcoming Hall of Fame album with more than a few bottles of Moët Rose in L.A. last night.  We've got the pics inside.... The Moët Rosé Lounge Series hosted a private Black-Tie listening event for Big Sean's upcoming sophomore album, Hall of Fame (dropping Aug. 27th), at The London Hotel in West Hollywood Tuesday night as the Series made its LA debut .  His ever-present girlfriend, "Glee" actress Naya Rivera, was there on his arm.  And so were plenty of Sean's celeb friends. Guests including Big Sean’s girlfriend Naya Rivera, Kevin Hart, Jessica White, Lance Gross, Pooch Hall, Chadwick Boseman, and Jhene Aiko.  And they all partied the night away listening to tracks from the upcoming album and pouring up the Moët Maybe the two pulled double duty and played Naya's debut "So Sorry" track Sean's featured on.  Gorgeous gown though. Sean's fellow Detroit native Brandon T. Jackson was there celebrating it up with Pooch, Kevin & Lance Gross.  Kev brought his girlfriend Eniko along and snapped pics with fellow BET star Damien Dante Wayans.   Model Jessica Whit kept it fab in this pink lace maxi dress only she could pull off without it looking...homely. Def Jam executive, Chris Atlas, and Moet brand Manager, Keith Howard, toasted and presented Big Sean with a plaque celebrating his 10,000,000 singles sold to date.   Up-and-coming singer Jhene Aiko was there to celebrate. These dudes.... Last night, Chris Bosh of the 2013 NBA Champion Miami Heat took his very pregnant wife, Adrienne, out to dinner in West Hollywood, California. The couple dined at BOA steakhouse and left their son Jackson at home.   Maybe Adrienne was having one of those pregnancy cravings... BONUS: The new baby Bosh will soon join his very talented siblings who are already tighter piano skills than some of your faves.....   And in other relationships...... ON THE SET: Wendy Williams HOSTS The "R&B DIVAS LA" REUNION SPECIAL -- Kelly Price, Michel'le, Lil' Mo, Claudette Ortiz & Chante Moore Posted: 14 Aug 2013 09:33 AM PDT The cast of "R&B Divas LA" sat down with talk show host Wendy Williams for the reunion taping and we have the first pics from the set. See the ladies posing it up with Wendy before the drama goes down inside..... The ladies of "R&B Divas LA" -- Kelly Price, Michel'le, Lil' Mo, Claudette Ortiz and Chante Moore -- sat down with Wendy Williams in New York at Arena Event Space to discuss the catfights, custody battles, man problems and the "monolgues" that caused so much drama all season. Of course, Phil Thornton (and the rest of the R&B DIVAS LA producers) are keeping the exact deets of the reunion under wraps, but it's obvious that Dawn Robinson didn't show up for the taping.  Why?   During an interview with 4umf.com, Dawn revealed that she was very unhappy with how her friend Kelly Price was portrayed and she wasn't feeling the fighting that went on during the taping.  Apparently she had enough of those fights with her own group.  She said,  "I only have one Dawn Robinson, and I’ll be damned if somebody’s going to come in and take it all because of some reality show. That is not what I signed up for! I signed up for positivity.” So....we assume she's never watched an actual reality show before? And according to S2S, Dawn and Kelly performed a one-night-only Not Your Mama’s Monologues in LA, which would lead us to believe that the actual performance the series is bulding up to.....might not have happened!   This could have caused some tension at the reunion...but clearly it was worked out.  We see Kelly gave Lil' Mo a big hug and it didn't look like she brought any vaseline or razor blades for Chante Moore. VIDEO FAB: Luke James' "Oh God" Ft. Hit Boy + Meek Mill's "Levels" Posted: 14 Aug 2013 08:56 AM PDT Luke James has released a visual for "Oh God" while Meek Mill has (finally) released the video for "Levels".  Watch the videos inside....... Luke James' "Oh God" (produced by Danja) video from his free digital album "Whispers In The Dark" is here. Directed by Sarah McColgan, the clip depicts Luke falling for a wolf in sheep's clothing and co-stars Hit-Boy and N.A.R.S. Records label mate Kevin Cossom. Luke will make his feature film debut alongside Forest Whitaker and Angela Bassett in Fox Searchlight's "Black Nativity" (November 27).  And he's working on his highly anticipated debut studio album Made to Love ft. John Legend, Claude Kelly, The Runners, Hit-Boy and Wale.   In other new videos....... MMG's Meek Mill just released "Levels", the Hype Williams-directed clip from the Maybach Music Group’s Self Made 3 compilation (due September 17).  Feels like it's a couple months too late, but it's here.  The track was produced by Cardo and has Meek bragging about the levels of his success.  Check it. Meek is also working on a new mixtape called Dreamchasers 3.
