Kanye Wants To Show Off The Middle East's Beauty In New Film Project

Posted: 02 Feb 2012 12:40 PM PST

Always the artist, Kanye is looking to show off the Middle East in style!

Much like he did with his film/video Runaway, Ye is looking to do a project on the misunderstood region of the world and bring it's culture to a new audience. The music video/short film hybrid is expected to be 30 minutes and the rapper has explored several regions of the area and met with major players in each region while looking for a potential spot to shoot a film.

A source said the following on the project:

He conceived the story, which is set in the Gulf. It's supposed to showcase the beauty of the region, a piece that's culturally sensitive and embraces the customs and traditions of the region.

Since it's Ye's baby, everyone wants a piece of the project, so a bidding war has ensued to see where Kanye films the project.

This isn't the first time Ye has filmed a project like this either!

Check out his film/music video, Runaway, above.

Thoughts? Where do U think Kanye should film in the Middle East?

It really is!

Madonna Covers The Advocate! Talks GaGa, W.E., Mothering, And More!!

Posted: 02 Feb 2012 11:50 AM PST

Beautiful! The Advocate has written an exquisite article on Madonna, and we really enjoyed reading it!! So much so that we feel it necessary to share the HIGHlights with U!!

In it, they ask her Madgesty how she feels on Time's referral to her "as the Lady GaGa of the 80s," mothering as Madge, and her latest directorial baby -- W.E..

Ready to read some of her answers?? Here U go:

On GaGa's relationship with gay men:

It seems genuine. It seems natural, and I can see why she has a young gay following. I can see that they connect to her kind of not fitting into the conventional norm. I mean, she's not Britney Spears. She's not built like a brick shithouse. She seems to have had a challenging upbringing, and so I can see where she would also have that kind of connection, a symbiotic relationship with gay men.

On the media and its effects:

When people are writing about you in the beginning and they're saying nice things, you're like, 'Oh!' You feel this lift of energy. Then they say bad things, and of course, you're affected by that too. I don't really dwell on it anymore. I used to be kind of fixated on it and think, It's not fair, it's not fair, it's not fair, but it is what it is, and I just have to get on with my life.

On the haters:

If you are threatened by me as a female or you think I'm doing too much or saying too much or being too much of a provocateur, then no matter how great of a song I write or how amazing of a film I make, you're not going to allow yourself to enjoy it, because you're going to be too entrenched in being angry with me or putting me in my place or punishing me.

On mothering:

I'm a strict mother. My daughter doesn't know why I won't allow her to get everything pierced or a tattoo or dye her hair blond on the tips and pink at the roots. They just really want me to just be Mom and be normal, and don't show up dressed in any outlandish way. Just come to school, do the parent-teacher meetings. I can't even wear a tracksuit. That attracts attention too. You know, they don't really want to see me as a famous person or a celebrity or somebody. They don't get it right now. They think I'm a little quirky.

On W.E.:

Like Wallis Simpson, I felt like an outsider. I thought, Life is so different here, and I'm used to being a New Yorker, and I have to learn how to drive on the other side of the road. Suddenly, I found myself living out in an English country house and trying to find my way in this world, so I decided to really take it on and do research and find out about English history and learn about the royal family.

Oh!! Madonna!! So eloquent!! So perfect!!!

We love her, loveLOVElove her!!! Sigh, we wish the Super Bowl was tomorrow, LOL!!

Thoughts on the quotes??

Howard Stern WON'T Promote America's Got Talent On The Tonight Show!

Posted: 02 Feb 2012 11:40 AM PST

Howard is on Team Letterman all the way baby!

Last night, Howard Stern appeared on Late Show with David Letterman (above), and he swore that he will NOT promote America's Got Talent on Leno's show...even though he's working with NBC!

Ya gotta appreciate the loyalty! If we were talking Twilight, we're thinking Howard would be the kind of guy who'd only watch scenes with Taylor Lautner in them! (we assume he's a Team Jacob guy)

What do U think? Will Howard cave in and make an appearance on Leno???

Nicki Minaj Requires WHAT Backstage?? Find Out What She's Getting At The Super Bowl!!

Posted: 02 Feb 2012 11:20 AM PST

Welp!! After reading this, ya might think Nicki Minaj is a diva with the rest of them.

...and that's totally true, but a well-deserved diva LOL!!

Most celebrities require a little somethin' somethin' in their green room before any performance or appearance, and Minajesty is no different!!

While she's backstage at the Super Bowl, she will be needing:

12 bottles of Martinelli apple juice (half iced, half room temp)

24 bottles of Dasani water (half iced, half room temp)

Simply Lemonade, Snapple, Red Bull

Assorted Fruit Juices

12 piece bucket of spicy fried chicken (no thighs)

Snacks: three packs of gum, salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, Wishbone Light Italian dressing, green olives, fruit platter, cheese platter, a deli tray, Bumble Bee tuna in water, and wheat or low fat crackers

Okay, okay, so it's not that bad! We've seen a lot worse... like celebs who request only certain colors of M&Ms, etc..

But this kind of luxury gets us thinking, what would WE require if we were performing at the Super Bowl!?!

What would U??

The Artist's Jean Dujardin Pisses Off France With His New Movie's Controversial Ad Campaign!

Posted: 02 Feb 2012 11:10 AM PST

Oh, please! There's nothing wrong with this ad! He's clearly assisting her with some upside down vertical push-ups! Ha!

The Artist star Jean Dujardin has gotten into some trouble in France for the provocative ad campaign for his upcoming movie The Players (above).

People have been complaining about the ads for the film because they feature Dujardin and his co-writer/director/actor Gilles Lellouche in "compromising positions that many argue are degrading for women."

IN FACT, people have been complaining so much, that the ads are going to get taken down.

Here's what France's authority for the professional regulation of advertising head Stephane Martin had to say about the ads:

"We already feel that this campaign is against the rules...even if it relates to the subject of the film, a comedy about adultery. As a preventative measure, we've already counseled JC Decaux, who are in charge of the billboards, to take them down."

What do U think? Do U approve of Jean Dujardin's ad campaign???
