Singer Lauryn Hill has chosen to vacate her NJ mansion. Get the deets on her pre-prison move inside and see how Will and Jaden Smith's "After Earth" performed at the box office. Also, find out why the cops showed up at Shemar Moore's house.
After falling behind on her rent, troubled rapper Lauryn Hill reportedly informed her New Jersey landlords that she would vacate her rented-mansion on May 31 and settle up with them for $7,000 in back rent. But having to find new digs for herself and her kids is just one of the issues currently facing Lauryn. We told you previously that she's due to start her three month prison stint for tax evasion on July 8 and she's been attacked for the lyrics of her "comeback" single "Neurotic Society." Outside of a few rants on her Tumblr page, Lauryn has been pretty silent about her future and how she's dealing with the upcoming prison sentence. We just hope she can hold it together.
At the movies.....
After a whirlwind promo schedule, which even included a few high profiles stunts in Europe (DJ Jazzy Jeff and Alfonso Ribeiro were roped in), Will Smith's action film, After Earth, didn't live up to the high expectations of SONY pictures this weekend. Falling victim to bad "word of mouth" and even more critical reviews, the film took in $27 million opening weekend, landing in third place at the box office. Though that figure may seem pretty high, it's definitely NOT "Will Smith" status. Made with a $130 Million budget, SONY tried to sugar coat the weekend gross saying, "While we were expecting more domestically, we believe the film will perform strongly when we open overseas over the next few weeks." Good luck with that. Meanwhile, Tyrese and Ludacris are still holding steady at number one with Fast & Furious 6.

We all know "Criminal Minds" star Shemar Moore's party motto "What Happens At Shemar Moore's House NEVER HAPPENED", but Saturday morning, one of Shemar's guests told the LAPD "just what had happened." According to TMZ, one of Shemar's guests called the cops, claiming the actor assaulted her. And by the time cops arrived, both Shemar and the woman had accused one another of pushing and shoving. And yep, alcohol was involved. So what happened? According to a police report, the guest claimed she was pushed into the pool and prevented from entering the house to dry off. Although Shemar did arrive with towels (at the backdoor *snickers*), the "irate" guest was asked to leave the party and that led to the pushing and shoving. The cops arrived at 3:45am to file their report, but no arrests were made because neither of them had injuries. SMH....it's sad that they had to lay hands on each other but we wouldn't want someone "fresh out the pool" walking through our posh L.A. house either. Womp. EXTRAS: 1. The mother of star Bruno Mars died in Honolulu, Hawaii, on Saturday. Bernadette Hernandez, 55 years old, died of a brain aneurysm. Story. 2. Kelis hit with a $134K tax lien fro the federal government, bringing her tax debt to $740K. Story.

It's officially a girl for Kim & Kanye! We pretty much figured it out a while ago with the ballerina-style baby shower invites and rumors, but on last night's episode of "Keeping up With The Kardashians," Kanye's baby's mom found out the sex officially. Check it inside, plus pics from Sunday's baby shower celeb arrivals... At Irving Azoff's posh L.A. mansion Sunday afternoon, friends and fam of the Kardashians made their way back to the same place Khloe & Lamar Odom got married in 2009. Kanye & Kim's baby shower went down at his home as he's 'Ye's former manager and Kris Jenner's good friend Azoff.
Dad-to-be Kanye made an arrival while hiding behind his hoodie he closed around his face. The irony of him hating publicity and paparazzi so much but making the Queen of it all his baby's mother.
Kim's long time friends Nicole Richie and Khadijah Haqq made their cute arrivals.
And her twin sis Malika was there looking cute in black & white.
Mel B.--mom of 3--looked fab in all white and her flower hairpiece parting gift:

And finally, Lamar Odom showed up and was spotted leaving with his wife Khloe. Check out the clip of Kim finding out the sex of the baby (Kanye wasn't able to make it apparently) from last night's premiere on E!: When Kim's mom Kris asked the doctor "if he saw a little peepee," Kim said, "It definitely would take after his father so you would see it." Oh.

Sunday was all about fun in the city. Check out The Carters spending their day in the Big Apple and Summer Jam, plus who made surprise appearances at Hot 97's Summer Jam 20.... Beyonce & Jay-Z made a quick return home to NYC on Sunday after hitting the stage in London Saturday night. The cute couple was spotted hitting up Battery Park Theater to catch Iron Man 3: The "Grown Woman" singer rocked leather short shorts, a buttoned blazer and heels as she and Jay went frm the movies....out to the Meadowlands for Hot 97's 20th Annual Summer Jam:
They were spotted making an unannounced arrival. And on stage during Summer Jam:
Lil Kim came out during Fabolous' set and graced their stage for the first time in a few years. And she kicked it back stage with Draya--the newest Ciroc Girl.
Nicki Minaj also made a surprise appearance during 2 Chainz's set. Since she cancelled her appearance last year after the Lil Wayne/Starships debacle, she returned for a bit on Sunday.

And Miguel & Mariah performed "#Beautiful". MiMi was the surprise act, and she showed up in short cutoff shorts and a tied up shirt. Chick isn't letting go of those 20's. Ever.

As Wale's latest single "Bad" featuring Tiara Thomas climbs the charts, the Gifted rapper has prepared a "remix" that's sure to complete his chart takeover. For the upcoming remix, he's picked the "original" bad girl, Rihanna, to bless the track. She's singing the hook...and rapping. Although a recent rumor nearly derailed his working relationship with Rih Rih, we're happy he got things back on track because this snippet is interesting! He previewed a little of it on "Sway In The Morning" on Shade 45 recently. Check it out...

We're pretty sure the "Bad" (Remix) featuring Rihanna will rules the airwaves this summer, but it's worth taking note of the new "vocal" version of the track by Tiara Thomas. And even if the Rihanna "mix" overshadows Tiara's solo version, Tiara will still collect her coins because she actually co-penned the track! Check out her version here:
Tiara, a graduate from Ball State University, has revealed that she's in the studio working on her debut LP Sallie Mae. But don't expect to hear Wale on the disc. He told Hot 97 that they no longer have a working relationship and she's actually signed to someone else! He said, "She did what she felt like was to her best interest, and I guess that's what all people going to do." Oh wells..... Love her voice though. |
