| Casey Anthony Was Deposed Today! All The Deets! Posted: 08 Oct 2011 12:40 PM PDT She's not off the hook just yet! Casey Anthony may have been found not guilty of murdering her daughter, Caylee, in 2008, but she was forced this morning to give a videotaped deposition as part of the lawsuit still against her by Zenaida Fernandez Gonzalez, the woman she defamed when she claimed had taken her during the initial investigation! if you recall, no such nanny with that name actually existed, but the woman with that name did, and she asserts that because of her involvement her reputation has been ruined! According to Gonzalez's lawyer, John Morgan, Anthony wore a pair of sunglasses, a hat, and a wig during the deposition, and although composed, was angry and answered only a few questions, while her lawyer invoked the Fifth Amendment on several occasions. Ugh. What else is there to expect? God forbid she be inconvenienced for, you know, being forced to take accountability for something! [Image via AP Images.] |
| Steve Jobs Has Been Put To Rest. Posted: 08 Oct 2011 11:40 AM PDT He may be gone, but his legacy will live on forever. Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, who lost his battle with pancreatic cancer at 56 earlier in the week, was put to rest and buried yesterday after an extremely private funeral service. According to new CEO Tim Cook, there are no public memorials planned, but the company "is planning a celebration of Steve's extraordinary life" for its employees. Very fitting. Check out the will.i.am's just-released single, Hard, which also features Jennifer Lopez and Mick Jagger, off of his upcoming solo album, Black Einstein (above)! The guest vocals are an inneresting switch-up, but it still just kind of sounds like Imma Be to us! Interested to hear what else he's got coming, though! What do U think?? | FOX Renews The Simpsons For Another Two Seasons! Posted: 08 Oct 2011 09:20 AM PDT The Simpsons has been saved! After an extremely stressful day of uncertainty and contract negotiations, Fox announced last night that the long-running animated comedy will be renewed for another two years, meaning it will at least make it to 25 seasons and 559 episodes! Incredible! The show has become such a staple of television, it's bizarre to think about what would happen if it ended - and so suddenly! Well, we guess we wouldn't notice, with all the reruns constantly playing! LOLz! We kid, we kid! Congratulations on figuring out a deal that everyone could agree upon, guys! Looking forward to at least another two years! |

| The 99% Are Planning Something Big For October 15th Posted: 08 Oct 2011 08:20 AM PDT And the world will apparently be watching. The Occupy Wall Street movement has reached a pique in its demonstration, with people around the country - and around the world - rallying around those who represent the "99%" of those struggling in these hard economic times. Protests have sprung up not just in New York, but in major cities across the US and as far off as Dublin, with people reaching out to that other 1% to stop their greedy ways and help the world become a more finically stable place. So far, protests have gotten a lot of attention, but haven't gotten much done. Still, the protests are getting bigger and louder and according to the movement's leaders, something big is coming soon. In Portland, Ore., at least 4,000 protesters marched downtown to Pioneer Square to begin what is expected to be a camp-in for several days at Tom McCall Waterfront Park. Yesterday in El Lay, about 500 protesters took over the intersection of Seventh and Figueroa streets and several people were arrested when police came in riot gear. But a organizer source out of Birmingham, Ala., who have also been protests, say to expect "something big" to happen next Saturday, the 15th. So long as it is something non-violent, we wish them luck. We want them to have their voices heard and to make a difference, but we also don't want anyone to get hurt in the process. We are delighted to announce that Lady GaGa's studio album, Born This Way, has sold over 5.01 million copies since its release in May, over two million of those purchased during its first week on sale! Furthermore, it's expected that she'll be closing out 2011 with the second best-selling album of the year, preceded only by Goddess Adele's 21! AMAZING! | Dear Rose Marie Belforti And The Courage Fund…THIS SUCKS! Posted: 08 Oct 2011 07:40 AM PDT This is absolutely shameful. In light of the three New York town clerks who have refused to comply with the state's new marriage equality laws and therefore, not marry same-sex couples due to their religious beliefs, The Courage Fund, which is an initiative from evangelical Protestants disputing the law, have created a series of videos in support of these individuals, including this one, featuring Rose Marie Belforti! Watch it (above)! Again her one sole argument seems to be:
Okay, fine. But once again - when you take a job that makes you A WARD OF THE STATE, you have to adhere to separation of church and state, just like everyone else! So if your faith means that you cannot do the job that you've CHOSEN to its fullest capacity, AKA by not being able to follow the LAW, then yes, you need to either reason or face the consequences! HOW DARE you record a video that even REMOTELY suggests that you are a victim in any way, shape or form! What you're doing is an actual CRIME against our community, whether you agree with it or not! |
