SPLITSVILLE: Nicole Murphy & Michael Strahan BREAK UP...For Now! Posted: 26 Sep 2012 10:02 AM PDT "Live!" co-host Michael Strahan has allegedly split from his fiancee of three years, "VH1 Exes" star Nicole Murphy. Deets inside on the cheating allegations and break up inside... It's over for former NFLer Michael Strahan and Eddie Murphy's ex-wife, Nicole Murphy, according to our source. We're told that the two broke up over the weekend when Michael traveled back home L.A., where Nicole still lives, as Michael lives in New York during the week in order to tape "Live! With Kelly & Michael." Our source tells us Michael discovered inappropriate text messages in Nicole's phone between her and someone named "London Taylor," and Michael was anything but pleased. A screaming match allegedly went down with accusations of cheating being thrown around. Another source close to the couple tells us that Nicole believes Michael could have jumped to these conclusions simply because he possibly could be doing the same thing in New York when Nicole is not there. If you recall, Nicole was the lead video girl (screenshot above) in a very steamy video recently with a new artist of the same name. And many were wondering why she would do such a sexualized video, and with a new artist. Nicole reportedly claimed that it was a way for her to publicize her jewelry line, FLP. We're told Michael left L.A. on Sunday to return to NYC for work on Monday. He then, according to our source, informed Nicole that he needed a break, and the two have not spoken since. One source tells us that Nicole is heartbroken, but they're also hoping that when word gets out about their break up--it will force the two to communicate again. Time will tell...

OH NO! Bobbi Kristina & Boyfriend Nick In SCARY Car Accident Posted: 26 Sep 2012 07:23 AM PDT

Deets inside... The twosome were reportedly driving around Alpharetta, GA Sunday night when the accident occurred. Nick was driving and Bobbi K. was in the passenger seat. There's no word on exactly how they crashed or what they crashed into. But TMZ reports the two were allegedly arguing at the time of the wreck. The Camaro's front bumper was taken off, airbags deployed, and the front right tire was MIA. A pic of the wreckage that somehow ended up back at their place: Further reports state that cops were called the same night out to their home due to a noise complaint. NEW MUSIC: Rihanna's "Diamonds" Posted: 26 Sep 2012 06:46 AM PDT Rihanna dropped her brand new single, "Diamonds," this morning. Check out her upbeat feel-good track inside... Rih's back on her music rind with a new single and a new album. In an interview with iHeartRadio during their recent Festival weekend, she described the track as "happy and hippy" and that it's "different than what people would expect". "It's laid-back but it's hopeful," she added. "It's a record that... gives me such a great feeling when I listen to it. The lyrics are very hopeful and positive, but it's about love and... a little different to what people would expect, I think." And that it is. In the repetitive upbeat song, Rihanna talks about her and another shining bright like diamonds in the sky. By the way, Rih revelaed the single cover was shot by "one of her favorite new photographers," her bestie Melissa. And it was likely done during one of their many smokeout sessions. Check out the track below:
You can also check out the lyrics she posted over on her Rihanna7 site. Her seventh studio album is on track for a November 2012 release. You feelin' it so far?

Dawn Richard Gets Natural, Talks GOLDENHEART Album & Why Her Former Groups Ended Posted: 25 Sep 2012 06:01 PM PDT Dawn Richard is set to release her debut solo studio album, Goldenheart. And she's giving up on the goods on what it took to get here, why her past groups came to an end, and what we can expect from the YBF chick.
Her new naturally gorge black and white photoshoot and more inside... Dawn is on her own and is still gathering a big following while dropping edgy tribal tracks on mixtapes that tell a story. Now she's prepping her debut studio album. And she told INTERVIEW magazine about the journey. A few highlights: On why Danity Kane ended I think they just ran their course. I think the big difference with Danity Kane was that we were manufactured. It wasn't organic, like sisters coming together and forming a group. I mean, it was a reality show project [Making The Band] that created us—a competition. We were picked and at a time, we actually had a relationship, or rather, a bond that was tighter than sisters, but that was really just to survive and that's hard to do when there's cameras documenting your every move. So many people thought we were a joke because they watched us on the show. We had to make people believe we were great, and we were, but it was that much harder to prove ourselves because we were manufactured. We had success, but it ran its course for what it was... On why Diddy-Dirty Money ended I think we were ahead of our time. I hear a lot of groups and artists coming out now with similar sounds. I think people are just starting to love the sound now. When we came out, Puff tried his best to show the world something different, and I believe it may have been too much for people to digest and understand then. That's the sad thing about this industry. On the theme of her upcoming solo album GOLDENHEART Goldenheart is like a modern-day Joan of Arc. Think of it like medieval times-cum-2045 or Lancelot and Guinevere in 3025. It's a new version of these battles—age-old stories for the now. They're stories that have always been relatable, and I like to make people dream and think and imagine and learn and study. Nowadays, music is so literal—it's telling you, "This is how it is," and my music's the opposite. I come from an era where lyrics were full of imagery and metaphor, and that's all I know. I think people miss that. I'm telling these age-old stories, just in a different way—my way. Check out the rest of the interview plus her new single "86" over at INTERVIEW MAGAZINE. Posted: 25 Sep 2012 04:39 PM PDT Our President & First Lady made their first joint appearance on ABC's "The View" this morning during their 24 hour stint in Manhattan. Check out what America's First Couple had to say about lef at the White House after hours, plans for after the White House, and just how quickly Sasha & Malia are growing up... First Lady Michelle Obama, looking amazing in a green full skirted sleeveless dress, appeared on "The View" with her Presidential hubby. Joy, Babs Walters, Sheree, Whoopi & Elizabeth all tossed both soft and hard questions at the duo for an entertaining interview. A few of our fave highlights-- President Obama said that Michelle couldn't run for office in 2016 because her temperament wouldn't allow it. Mrs. O agreed saying her patience level isn't cut out for office like his. She also revealed she's one of the only people who can really make her husband mad. When asked how they have managed to stay this close as they approach their 20 year wedding anniversary this fall, Prez O revealed that they actually spend more time together now than ever. Tanks to having access to Air Force one and Helicopter 1 he an be at the dinner table in minutes or hours as much as possible. The First Family tried to have dinner together often and they now tuck each other in--something President O said he loved to do for his wife every night. But now, as Malia is getting older and staying up the latest doing homework, she's becoming a night owl like dad. As for whether the President will be coaching daughter Sasha's basketball team again this year--he says yes and The Vipers will be undefeated once again. As for which is harder to manage--being President or a group of young girls, Obama said Sasha's b-ball team since THEY play like a team, pass the ball and offer high 5's to each other. Ha! Malia is into tennis now, by the way. Barbara Walters asked the President if it would be disastrous if Romney won. His answer--Americans can survive anything. But we don't want to just survive, we want to thrive. It's all about whose policies will get us there, either you believe in building from the middle out, or from the top down. As for what Mr. President plans to do post-presidency, he said, "The thing that I think I would enjoy most is spending time working with kids. I love teaching. I miss teaching, and I’m not sure necessarily it will be in a classroom, but the idea to be able to go around to various cities and help to create mentorships and apprenticeships and just giving young people the sense of possibility.” Check out the full episode HERE. |

OH WEEZY: Lil Wayne Gives Humorously Unprofessional Deposition Over Infamous Documentary Case Posted: 25 Sep 2012 12:00 PM PDT The fight goes on between Lil Wayne and Quincy Jones' son, Quincy Jones III (QD3) over the now infamous film The Carter Documentary. Now, a leaked deposition tape has leaked, featuring Lil Wayne clowning Quincy's lawyer in more ways than one. Check out the hilarious unprofessionalism inside...
Ok, it's not funny to laugh at such a serious matter. But Lil Wayne is making us wonder if he's sticking by his probation rules and laying off the drugs and alcohol. In case you didn't know, Lil Wayne is pissy that QD3, who is also the producer of the Beef series you see on Viacom channels, released a documentary featuring Weezy himself. QD3 claims he had permission to follow Wayne for a year or so for footage. But when Wayne saw the finished product, he didn't like how he was made out to look--so he says. So now, he says QD3 had no right to release the doc. Here we are with a case to determine QD3's rights. And during a June 2012 deposition obtained by TMZ, Lil Wayne acted the fool when grilled by QD3's lawyer, Pete Ross. Ross asked semi-stupid questions, but likely just for procedural purposes. And Wayne let dude have it. He even kept saying he couldn't recall anything about his own past arrests. Tunechi told Ross at the end that the judge "can't save him in the real world." Was that a threat Tunechi? By the way, after hopping on Juicy J's track "Bandz A Make Her Dance" with 2 Chainz, Weezy just tied the king of Rock & Roll, Elvis Presley, for the most appearances on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. The magic number--108. The Randomness: 1. In case you care, "Bad Girls Club" alum Natalie Nunn is being blackmailed after she claims her iPad was "stolen" on an NYC subway. And, of course, someone is threatening to release sex tape style footage she kept on there of her and her new husband Jacob Payne. SIGH. |
Nia Long, Star Jones, & More Hit The 2012 CBCF Phoenix Awards Gala With First Lady Michelle Obama Posted: 25 Sep 2012 11:20 AM PDT This past weekend in D.C., celebs & politicians hit up the nation's capital for days of partying and conferencing in honor of the Congressional Black Caucus and its Foundation. Check out pics inside, plus the Phoenix Awards gala where First Lady Michelle Obama gave a rousing speech... Nia Long was on hand for the CBCF Annual Leadership Conference in DC this past weekend. While congressmen, politicians and more conferenced about government strategies, celebs were on hand to party it up during the umpteen events going down. Fab chick Nia was spotted at Roland Martin's annual Ascot Affair Saturday night after the Phoenix Awards Gala. Roland, who is the host of TVOne's "Washington Watch" said about the event:
Chris Tucker and former Atlanta Hawks baller Dominique Wilkins were all there to party. And he chilled out with Awards dinner host Robert Townsend (whose co-host was actress Sharon Leal). First Lady Michelle Obama was the keynote speaker for the Dinner Saturday night at the Convention Center. And she looked stunning in a black one-shoulder Michael Kors gown with a sparkling sequined waist. FLOTUS urged the $750/plate crowd of thousands to keep her husband, President Barack Obama, in office another 4 years. She gave insight into their own upbringing, the amazing things the President has done for the black community simply because he believed it was right, and more. And she even took time to meet and greet the audience. And was spotted chatting up Star Jones. CBCF President & CEO, Dr. Elsie Scott, looking fab in a multi-print Alberto Malaki gown, wrapped her last year as President of the Foundation by honoring Director George Lucas (who gave a heartfelt acceptance speech about the difference between victims and heroes--likely in response to Mr. Romney's gaffes) and his work on Red Tails, Congresswoman Corrine Brown and The Honorable Harvey Gantt. Other celebs in attendance--Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Sheryl Lee Ralph and actress Debbie Morgan. Fab times! Check out our First Lady's speech below:
