Following their exit from "L&HH" Chrissy and Jim Jones are returning to reality tv, as we already knew, in their own series called "Chrissy & Mr. Jones."  On the show, we see Chrissy at a crossroads with Jim as she struggles with if she wants to have kids or even still get married.  (After ALL THAT DRAMA she doesn't know if she even wants to ge married now??)

Chrissy's BFF Emily B will indeed pop up on a few episodes of her new show.  And Em recently went off about why she won't return to "L&HH."  She says she's tired of talking about her baby's daddy Fabolous (despite her relationship with him being the sole reason she got on the show in the first place). She said,

People keep asking why I’m on that show… Umm cuz that’s my friend. My role on the show is strictly about our friendship not FAB!! Don’t nobody wanna do another season of me talking about Fab.. As much as I love him that story line is tired. Sorry lol *yawns*

So are Emily B and Fab still on their road to happiness?  Perhaps.....but she's not talking about it!

Cassie is pissed.  In case you missed it earlier this week, the "King of Hearts" singer went OFF on folks via her Twitter/Instagram because she was tired of reading about "blogs" making up things about her relationship with Diddy (like their alleged fights and things of that nature).  And tired of people talking ish about her "relationship."

 

So she took to her social network to kindly tell the to shut the f*ck up....

EXCLUSIVE DETAILS: Jill Scott DEMANDED Her Natural Hair Be Shown On Magazine Cover

She's one of our favorite YBF chicks for a reason.  Fresh off her Made In America Festival performance in her hometown of Philly, singer/actress Jill Scott has just been revealed as the October 2012 cover girl for Essence Magazine.  Check out the ultimatum she offered up to the magazine inside...

We caught up with the gorgeous 40-year-old at her Festival afterparty at Union Transport in Philly Sunday night, which also served as a fundraiser for her charity, Camp Jill Scott. And she unveiled her new cover alongside EIC Constance White.

Jill exclusively told TheYBF.com that she "staged sort of a coup" to make sure she could rock her natural hair for the cover.  The confident chick gave the magazine company a choice--either she did the cover spread with her natural hair, or she wasn't doing the cover AT ALL.

When we asked who would actually protest her request, she said we would be surprised, because it indeed happens.

But it clearly it paid off.  The "Golden" singer is looking simply fabulous on the cover of the October 2012 issue.  And since she can rock her natural hair just as fabulously as her wigs/weaves, she said in the mag that she has a right to do both:

“This is the simplest form of myself. I look in the mirror and it’s like, ‘Hey, there you go. What’s up, girl?’ For me, hair is an accoutrement. Hair is jewelry. It’s an accessory. Tomorrow I may want a wig down to my butt and I’m gonna rock it, and the next day I may want a big Afro and I’m gonna rock that too…”

Loves it.  And if you've been wondering why we rarely see her 3-year old son Jett, Jill says it's because she wants to keep him out of the business.  But the little cutie does attend concerts inconspicuously watching mommy from the crowd.  Sweet! 
 

Jill is also starring in the upcoming all-black remake of Steel Magnolias on Lifetime, October 7th at 9p ET.

Kanye West BOASTS About Girlfriend Kim K.'s SEX TAPE STARDOM In "Clique" SNIPPET

Kanye West has released a snippet from a track called "Clique" where he brags about Kim Kardashian's sex tape. Listen to the clip inside.....

Giving his girlfriend's salacious past his stamp of approval, rapper Kanye West raps about Kim Kardashian's sex tape in his latest track.

In the snippet for his upcoming track "Clique" (featuring Jay Z and Big Sean) off the forthcoming Cruel Summer disc, he spits, "Eat breakfast at Gucci. My girl a superstar all from a home movie."

Sigh.....we guess 'Ye is actually proud his girl is whatever she is because of a sex tape.  The standards these days....

Kim is scheduled to be on "The View" today.  And we can pretty much bank on this coming up.

Cuteness overload!  Papa Jay-Z was spotted getting completely enamored with his baby girl Blue aboard their yacht in the Mediterranean yesterday.  While Jay & Beyonce tried to snap pics of the beautiful scenery, Blue wanted to play with the camera and grab at everything.  Just like a typical 8-month-old.  Loves it:

Precious! The family boarded a luxe yacht just a day after Hov performed and "curated" the 2-day Budweiser Made In America Festival in Philly this past weekend.  So the fam was definitely in need of a vacay.

Bey was spotted in a black and striped athletic short set and looked cute makeup-free.

It's unclear whether The Carters will be back in the States in time for the VMAs this Thursday.  But they look like they're just living it up.  Not mad.

Fabulous First Lady Michelle Obama Rocks Tracy Reese For DNC, Delivers AMAZING Speech

First Lady Michelle Obama brought her perfect A game to the Democratic National Convention tonight in Charlotte.  Check out Mrs. O's riveting speech praising her Presidential husband, plus her fabulous look inside....

 

In a knee length pink, gold and silver embroidered custom Tracy Reese dress (which showed off her killer arms) with matching pink heels from J.Crew, First Lady Michelle Obama gave her much anticipated DC speech in Charlotte tonight.

Mrs. Obama had the task of giving voters the personal side of her husband, and connecting it to how and why he will work nonstop to fulfill policies he feels are simply right.  Especially because the Obamas truly know first hand and understand the struggle of the middle class.  A few of our fave quotes:

You see, even though back then Barack was a Senator and a presidential candidate…to me, he was still the guy who’d picked me up for our dates in a car that was so rusted out, I could actually see the pavement going by through a hole in the passenger side door…he was the guy whose proudest possession was a coffee table he’d found in a dumpster, and whose only pair of decent shoes was half a size too small. But when Barack started telling me about his family – that’s when I knew I had found a kindred spirit, someone whose values and upbringing were so much like mine.

He didn’t care whether it was the easy thing to do politically – that’s not how he was raised – he cared that it was the right thing to do.

When it comes to giving our kids the education they deserve, Barack knows that like me and like so many of you, he never could’ve attended college without financial aid.

Jennifer Williams & Terrell Owens....On A Shopping Date?

Looky looky.  Former "Basketball Wives" star Jennifer Williams was spotted lunching and shopping....with ex-NFLer Terrell Owens.  It's not totally clear if this was a date of some sort...as Jen had another friend along with her as well...but T.O. surely seemed to shy away from the cameras as soon as they spotted him.

In a flirty blue and white lace summer dress and sandals, Jennifer Williams hit the streets of L.A. today for a post-meeting lunch and some shopping.  And it looks like she had a new friend along for the afternoon too--Terrell Owens.  He was spotted leaving a store with Jenn, but as the cameras started to follow, you can see T.O. carefully distancing himself. 

Jen tweeted last night saying she would definitely be having a "good dream about a certain someone."  And today she said:

My meeting went great.. Got a mani/pedi, shopping and now lunch with a friend... :)

Hmmm.  We're keeping our eye on these two...

GRANDPA TERRENCE HOWARD: 18-Year-Old Daughter Aubrey Gets Married & Pregnant

43-year-old Oscar nominated actor Terrence Howard will be a grandfather really soon.  His daughter Aubrey, who recently got married, has revealed her pregnancy. Get the deets inside.......

Aubrey Howard, daughter of actor Terrence Howard, jumped the broom with her hubby Billy Gayle on July 21.  He tweeted a pic of the ring above.

But Aubrey's wedding wasn't the only thing for Terrence to celebrate.  She's also pregnant!  The Howard University student (who's taking time off to have the baby) shared that she's in her final trimester.

Aubrey said that she favors the traditional stay-at-home mom as she tweeted,

"I can't stand when people tell me or my husband I should be working. If we decide that I'm going to stay home and raise our children then that shouldn't be up for discussion.  I grew up with my mom in the house always there for us and I wouldn't have it any other way for my children"

ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER FOOLISH ACTIVITY: Chad Johnson Tatts Evelyn's FACE & NAME On His Leg....This Past Weekend!

Is it safe to say Chad Johnson missed Evelyn Lozada's interview on "Nightline" this past weekend?  You know...the one where she says she hasn't spoken to him since that fateful "humiliating" head butting night, and that she probably won't again?  Because dude just tatted her FACE on his leg...so she knows it's real.

In case you didn't notice his new Twitter avatar today, Chad Johnson has changed it to a pic of him sitting in a chair with his right leg on full display.  And what do you see when you get to his outer calf?  A tattoo of his estranged wife & "Basketball Wives" star Evelyn Lozada.  With EVE written underneath it.

We hear he just got he tatt this weekend.  Likely around the same time Ev went on "Nightline" to "pour out her heart" about their domestic violence situation.

Obviously, Chad thought this most recent act of foolery would make her come running back.  And sadly, we wouldn't be surprised if it did.  Time will tell...

*UPDATE* Chad responded to Twitter followers who asked him why he would get that tattoo if Evelyn filed for divorce.  His response:

Divorce? Child please... that's my WIFE/I dont give a flying pretzel in skittle rainbow hell what she filed for...

Chris Lighty's Wife Veronica Speaks For The First Time Since His Death, Says He Wanted To "Relieve All That Stress"

Veronica Lighty, wife of the late hip hop executive Chris Lighty, has finally spoken out about the death of her husband.  But still, many questions about his suicide are left unanswered.

 

What she had to say inside...

The NY Daily News caught up with an understandably puffy eyed Veronica Lighty outside her Riverdale home yesterday.  She looked almost unrecognizable as she spoke about her Chris' shocking suicide.

As reports surfaced that Chris, founder of Violator Management, shot himself outside of the home they shared together right after a fight with Veronica, she maintained he was "too smart" to kill himself over an argument with his wife.  He loved his six kids too much:

“My husband was too smart of a man. He was a genius. No smart man is going to leave his children for fighting with his wife.  That makes absolutely no sense.  We had a passionate relationship. We fought all the time."

“My husband was obsessed and adored me. He was one of the most beautiful people that I have ever met in my life."
 

Veronica, who had 2 kids with Chris, then revealed the surprising fact that she retracted the divorce she filed for last year, right before Father's Day:

“I had filed for divorce last year, but retracted it” two days before Father’s Day, she said. “That was my gift to him.”

She then said, more than once, that Chris had a lot of weight and stress on his shoulders.  But she maintained they were not $5 million in debt.  They sold their multi million home in Manhattan and bought an equally expensive one in the Bronx.  She said:

“Chris had a lot of weight on his shoulders....Let him die proud, at peace because that’s what he needed and that’s what he wanted.  He just wanted peace and he wanted to relieve all that stress.”

What those stresses were exactly was not explained.  Chris' clients like 50 Cent, Diggy Simmons and more have expressed complete devastation over his death.

Ne-Yo Covers UPSCALE Magazine, Talks Not Being Thirsty For Fame

Ne-Yo is on the cover of the September/October 2012 issue of Upscale Magazine.  And he's not holding back on the not-so-quiet bitterness he previously had in the industry.  Check out the singer, actor and top-notch songwriter's cover and quotables inside...

"Lazy Love" singer Ne-Yo is out promoting his fifth studio album R.E.D. (dropping on Halloween).  And even though he's starred in four films, written countless record-breaking songs for the game's top artists, and stayed out of trouble (for the most part) while doing so, he doesn't feel like he's gotten the recognition he deserves.  But he says he will never go to extremes for attention.

So in the new issue of UPSCALE, the father of two reveals his frustrations with the industry, asks when did scandal become more important than music quality, and plenty of other questionable things about the industry.

On fame:

"I've never been the "hey everybody, look at me!" dude and I'm not gonna start...If my music doesn’t do it for you, if it doesn’t get your attention, there’s 100 dudes out there that will do anything and everything so that you’ll look at them. I’m not that dude.”

On the state of the industry:

"When did it become not about the music and about how quick you could take your shirt off or how many times you’ve been arrested in a year, or who you f-ckin? When did that become more important than the quality of the music?”

Reaction to the gay rumors:

"That sh-t ate me alive...[I was] like where did that come from? Who are these people that have gone to such heights to try to make people believe this? They went all out with that story.”

On love:

"Your body deteriorates. So why would you base your love on something that deteriorates? Your soul is eternal, that never dies; so once you’ve connected with somebody at the soul, the hell with what your body is doing, that’s not what love is about.”

On being a dad:

"People talk about how hard being a dad is, and ‘aw, your life ain’t yours any more’...My response to that is, why is that such a bad thing? When did it become a bad thing to live for something, to give purpose to your life? If nothing else, becoming a parent gives you a purpose. That’s a beautiful damn thing.”

On getting recognition:

"I’ve been in the game eight years now, I’d say the first five or six years I spent quietly very bitter...I’m looking at cats that I feel— and no disrespect— but that I’m doing better than or at least as well as, and they are getting more recognition.”
 

The quotes may come off a bit cold to some, but we 100% see exactly where he's coming from.  Dude makes a whole lot of sense.

Dwyane Wade Hits "The View", Talks Winning Child Custody BATTLE

NBA champion Dwyane Wade chatted it up with the ladies of "The View" during today's Season 16 premiere, and he discussed his nasty divorce, winning full custody of his boys, and and his new book A Father First: How My Life Became Bigger Than Basketball (in stores now). Watch the clip inside in case you missed it.....

Dwyane Wade stopped by "The View" to dish on his new book which details his role as father to one of his nephews and to his two sons, Zaire, 10, and Zion, 5 (whom he won custody of in 2011).   The book follows how important fatherhood was to his own life growing up, and its importance now.

The ladies also addressed the allegations of domestic abuse and well as infidelity that were put out by his ex-wife Siohvaughn. When asked why he never fought the allegations in public, he said he wanted to spend his time fighting for his boys and not petty gossip items in the press. 

He also revealed that the divorce he went through was nasty, but he was awarded custody because the judge felt he was the best parent to facilitate a relationship between both he and Siohvaughn, for the kids' sake.  He revealed that when the boys were in the custody of his ex-wife, she made it very hard for them to see him.

In a second segment, his sister and mother joined him on stage. They spoke about what a positive force his older sister was to him when his mother fell victim to heroin when he was young and she was in and out of jail (even escaping once and being a fugitive).  She made sure he had different options in life, brought him to live with his father and half brothers, and didn't fall prey to the brutal streets of Chicago.

And in a light-hearted moment, Joy Behar added, "You are the snappiest dressed we've ever had on this show."  He did look good though...

Alicia Keys Launches New REEBOK SHOE COLLECTION!

Alicia Keys just jumped into the shoe game with her new collection for Reebok.  And since her hubby Swizz Beatz designs several shoes for the company, it's only right Mrs. Beatz gets in on the design game too.  See the pics inside.....

 

"Girl On Fire" singer Alicia Keys has launched her own line of sneakers with retail giant Reebok.  The Reebok Freestyle Hi shoes, which will retail for $80, come in several different designs.  One pair features the New York skyline and piano keys and another pair is made of synthetic leather and features tribal patterns.  Here's a glimpse:

The deal was put together by Swizz Beatz who is also the creative director of Reebok Classics.

Garcelle Beauvais Speaks On Dating Black Men, Gives Relationship Advice

Gorgeous actress Garcelle Beauvais dished to Kreyolicious website recently about a topic many have been wondering about.  After her recent dramatic divorce from her twins' caucasian father, Christopher Nilon, due to a cheating scandal, Garcelle speaks on whether she's open to dating black men again...

 

She's 45, a single mom of 3, has a fabulous role on USA's hit show "Franklin & Bash," and she's more stunning than ever.  Garcelle Beauvais opened up about a subject we rarely if ever) hear her speak about.  The proud Haitian & soon-to-be-author is dishing on what her dating pool really looks like.  (Her oldest son's father is black and despite popular belief, she's never closed a door to black/Haitian men), and she's got some advice on love.

Here are a few highlights:

Some people are wondering…would Garcelle date a Haitian man?
Um. [Tremendous laughter] I am open to dating a good man, so whatever forms he comes in, then great. I would have to date a Haitian man who’s more Americanized. A traditional Haitian man would probably not go for the way my life is…in terms of what I do. I’m only speaking of that in terms of my sisters’ husbands. I’m open to all nationalities. It would actually be fun to date somebody Haitian. We can speak in Creole. He’d understand my background and culture. Yeah, I’m totally open.

You never had a Haitian boyfriend or anything like that?
I did, I did; I did. Back in the days when I was younger, I did.

You said you had a Haitian boyfriend before. Was it something about them that turned you off to marriage?
No, no. I never dated—I was so young then. It wasn’t about getting married. We were just dating. I haven’t yet met a Haitian man who’s asked asked me out. [Laughter]

Say for example, say a Haitian man who wants to romance Garcelle…
Have fun, I think. [Long stream of laughter]. Great dinners and nights, you know. Someone who’s honest and fun. Who loves God too.

Can it be anybody, career-wise? Like a carpenter? A blue-collar worker?
Yeah. [Laughs] Well, yeah. I’m not, you know, he has to have six figures; you have to have to have this and that. I’m looking for somebody who’s fun, loving, honest. It doesn’t matter what he does.

God, I hope this doesn’t come out wrong. Has the fact that you’ve dated two men who were outside your culture and “race”, made you more open to dating a black man?
I’ve always been open to dating black men. Oliver’s dad is black. I’m not opposed to it. It’s that the right people have to approach me. I love who loves me; I love who comes to me. I’m accessible to everybody. I’m receptive to everybody. I can’t just go out and look for only one type of man. Life is tough enough. I love who loves me; who approaches me.

And she may have gone through two divorces, but she still has some good relationship advice for young women, based off her own experiences.  She told Kreyolicious:

First of all, I would say, be true to you. I don’t think you should have to give up part of you just to be with somebody else. I think it’s important if you can start with self-love. Loving yourself, you will not allow other people to hurt you unnecessarily. Love yourself. Have boundaries for yourself [so] that you won’t let anybody hurt you. I think that it’s also finding a good person, who has the same morals, the same goals with you. Relationships are tough no matter what. If you have somebody who has a lot in common with you, that’s half the battle. Obviously, I don’t know. I have two divorces. I’m not an expert. I think self-love is where you can start off with.

Self love first.  Agreed.

NEWLY ENGAGED Reality Star Erica Dixon GETS GLAM For HOC Magazine
