Prepare For Zombie Apocalypse, that is the message coming from the Centers For Disease Control (CDC).

In a blog post on Monday titled, “Preparedness 101: Zombie Apocalypse.”

After all the recent disasters and pseudo threats to the human race, such as the swine flu, the CDC thinks it is time to warn humanity of the imminent threat posed by roaming undead.

“There are all kinds of emergencies out there that we can prepare for, take a zombie apocalypse for example”.

You may laugh, but the post was written by Assistant Surgeon General Ali Khan, who instructs readers to prepare for flesh eating zombies, just like in the movies.

Ali gave some advice on how to prepare for zombie apocalypse. such as:

“First of all, you should have an emergency kit in your house, this includes things like water, food, and other supplies to get you through the first couple of days before you can locate a zombie-free refugee camp (or in the event of a natural disaster, it will buy you some time until you are able to make your way to an evacuation shelter or utility lines are restored).”
“Once you’ve made your emergency kit, you should sit down with your family and come up with an emergency plan,” the posting continues. “This includes where you would go and who you would call if zombies started appearing outside your doorstep. You can also implement this plan if there is a flood, earthquake or other emergency.”

I have no idea what the dude was on at the time, maybe it was nothing more then a late night movie session with copious amounts of caffeine, but I think it is better to be safe then sorry….
