‘Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows – Part 2′ Releases A Ron Weasley Poster

Posted: 25 May 2011 05:30 PM PDT

Earlier today we got to check out the just-released Hermione Granger poster from the upcoming final Harry Potter film The Deathly Hallows — Part 2. Right now we get to see the Ron Weasley poster. Along with the Harry Potter poster we saw yesterday, this new Ron poster completes the trio of heroes that will help save the world from Lord Voldemort and his minions. Check out Ron‘s poster below.

Along with Hermione, Ron is Harry‘s best friend … his bro, his wingman. I love the way JK Rowling gave Harry 2 best friends to stand beside him through thick and thin from the very start. I remember fearing that one of Harry‘s BFFs might die before it was all said and done and thankfully that never happened. Ron is Harry‘s best man. He looks great in his very own poster.

‘Jem And The Holograms’ Returns To TV

Posted: 25 May 2011 04:30 PM PDT

Earlier today we learned that the 90′s music video show Pop-Up Video is returning to VH1 this Summer but right now I want to take you back a little further. The Hub is bringing back the 80′s animated TV series Jem and the Holograms this weekend with a marathon airing of the show’s first 6 eps before the entire series re-runs on The Hub starting next week. Those of you who remember the show about the animated all girl rock group should be THRILLED that the show is coming back to TV. Those of you who don’t know the show will want to take note … this cartoon is truly outrageous and is NOT to be missed.

Get ready for some truly outrageous television! A back-to-back marathon featuring the first six episodes of iconic 1980s animated series “Jem and the Holograms,” will air this Saturday, May 28, at 2 p.m. ET on The Hub Television network, a destination for kids and their families. The series features the best of ’80s fashion and music trends as Jerrica Benton discovers, Synergy, a powerful computer companion, that allows her to transform from co-owner of Starlight Music into rock star Jem. Teaming with her sister and best friends who form The Holograms, Jem sets out to make their musical dreams come true, as she battles against the ruthless Eric Raymond and his musical protégés, The Misfits. The beloved pop-culture series “Jem and the Holograms,” which originally aired in the late 1980s, will join The Hub’s schedule weekdays beginning Tuesday, May 31, at 7 p.m. ET (with encore performances throughout each day) and on Saturdays at 10 a.m. ET. To find the The Hub cable channel in your area, please visit hubworld.com and check the Channel Locator at the top of the page.

OMG … this is the BEST NEWS EVER!!! Last Xmas, The Hub started airing classic 80′s cartoons like Transformers, G.I. Joe and more but this Jem news is just too damn cool. Last May, I rewatched the entire Jem and the Holograms series on DVD but I am really excited to watch it all over again on The Hub. People … life is good … now that Jem is back on TV!!!

‘Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows – Part 2′ Releases A Hermione Granger Poster

Posted: 25 May 2011 03:30 PM PDT

Yesterday we saw an amazing poster of Harry Potter from the upcoming, absolutely FINAL HP film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part 2 and today we get to see the Hermione Granger poster for the film. Much like the Harry poster, this new poster of Hermione features a concerned and battle-weary expression. Check out the poster in full below.

Hermione rules. I have to admit … she is my favorite character of the Harry Potter bunch. Yes, Harry is the star but Hermione‘s cleverness and intelligence is really the most appealing thing for me about these characters. She may be the brains of the operation but she’s also the heart. I love this poster. I love Hermione ;D

Ronnie Magro Shows Off The Hand He Reportedly Injured On The Situation’s Face

Posted: 25 May 2011 02:30 PM PDT

Yesterday we saw photos from the Italian set of MTV‘s Jersey Shore that showed Mike The Situation Sorrentino with some pretty big bruises on his face and it was reported that those bruises were the result of a beating from fellow castmate Ronnie Magro. Today we get to see new photos of Ronnie out and about on the streets of Florence, Italy wrapping his injured hand in bandages … and we get to read the official statement from MTV about the incident.

Ronnie appeared to be making fun of The Situation when he flashed his abs at photographers … and it should be noted that all of the JS castmates were spotted with Ronnie today … and The Sitch was nowhere to be seen. Yesterday Mike was spotted trying to sneak home and hide his injuries while MTV tried to explain what happened to his face:

“Monday evening, Mike received medical attention after an accidental injury in the house. He was treated and is now at home with the rest of the cast.”

An “accidental injury in the house”, eh? Yeah right. I’m telling you … MTV will do everything they can to capitalize on this reported fight. They seem to love it when Ronnie gets violent in any capacity and they seem to love showing his rage on TV. They also have no qualms about showing the castmembers of the show beating one another. I’m sure they are having a field day figuring out how they plan to exploit this reported physical altercation. I wonder how long it’ll take for The Situation to show his face again while he’s in Italy. Hmmmm.

Watch: Oprah Winfrey Signs Off On The Final Episode Of ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’

Posted: 25 May 2011 01:00 PM PDT

Welp … that’s it. The very final episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show has aired in parts of the country, including the show’s home city of Chicago, IL. As expected, there were no guests on today’s final episode … it was just Oprah and her audience. Oprah shared her love, thanks and tentative goodbyes to her audience in the studio and watching around the world. Click below to watch video excerpts from Oprah‘s final show … including her final “until we meet again” that closed out the show.

It’s hard to believe that after 25 years, The Oprah Winfrey Show is really over … but it is over … finite … dunzo. Thanks for everything, Oprah. You are much loved and your daily talk show will be missed by many, I’m sure.

‘God Of Carnage’ / Prince Of Funk

Posted: 25 May 2011 12:41 PM PDT

David and I made it home from Las Vegas, NV last evening with enough time to unwind and relax a bit for the rest of the night. Altho our weekend was fun and relaxing, we didn’t want to go all out last night because we have a big night tonight. We are finally seeing the Broadway hit play God of Carnage here in LA and then later on tonight (well, early tomorrow morning to be exact) I am seeing Prince perform a very intimate concert for 100 people at the House of Blues. Oh yes, it’s going to be a very long night indeed.

David and I missed seeing God of Carnage when it ran on Broadway in NYC last year so we were thrilled to learn that the original cast would be doing the play here. We’ve been looking forward to this show for months so … we are very excited.

On Monday, Prince announced that he is doing 3 shows tonight here in LA at an “intimate venue”. Yesterday, the Prince symbol popped up at the Hollywood Palladium suggesting that he would be playing there:

But it was reported today that he is actually playing the House of Blues in West Hollywood, CA. I cannot attend the 7 or 10pm shows … but I’m going to the 11:59pm show (which is actually scheduled to begin at 1am). OY! I will be dead tomorrow but … the capacity for the midnight show is only 100 people so … it’s gonna be worth it.

I’ll have all the deets tomorrow :D

Watch: An Extended Trailer Of Sarah Michelle Gellar’s New Show ‘Ringer’ Is Released

Posted: 25 May 2011 10:55 AM PDT

Last week we got our first look at the first promo images and video footage from Sarah Michelle Gellar‘s new TV series Ringer which is due to premiere on The CW this Fall. Today we get to check out an extended video trailer for Ringer that gives us a VERY GOOD look at what the show will be about. Be warned, tho, the final moments of the clip could be considered very spoilery but TRUST ME … if you are at all interested in SMG‘s return to TV in Ringer then you MUST watch this clip.

I must confess … up until now, I’ve been a bit confused about the premise of the show. I mean, I understood that SMG‘s character takes on the identity of her twin sister and then suffers the consequences but I really didn’t understand the dynamics of the way things would work out. This trailer explains EVERYTHING and proves that SMG‘s return to TV is going to be AMAZING! Here’s the trailer, check it out:

Damn, this show looks so good. I love everything about this clip … now we know why SMG‘s character takes on her sister’s identity and we see some of the drama she inadvertently takes upon herself by doing so. We also get a bit of info about the mysterious twin sister as well. I can’t even tell you … I am dying for more. SMG did a great job waiting for the right TV project to make her return. Ringer just looks awesome, y’all!

VH1 Announces The Return Of ‘Pop-Up Video’

Posted: 25 May 2011 10:29 AM PDT

Woot!! Great news to pass along to fans of music videos, trivia and 90′s nostalgia … VH1 has announced that they are bringing back the superfun TV show Pop-Up Video. Those of you who remember the show may recall that VH1 would air music videos of the day (from Spice Girls, Mandy Moore, No Doubt, etc.) along with fun little trivia facts that would pop-up at appropriate times during the song. After being off the air for 10 years, the time is RIPE for Pop-Up Video to make it’s long-awaited return!

After a 10-year hiatus, VH1 is resurrecting Pop Up Videos with co-creator Woody Thompson on board as executive producer. The network has ordered 60 half-hour episodes set to bow as a strip in the fall. The reboot will remain faithful to the original concept of bubbles of true "info nuggets" strategically deployed over music videos for maximum irony. But this time Thompson and his team will also pop-up rap and hip-hop, a genre that was off limits for the original because it was the domain of sister network MTV. Of course, since the series premiered in 1996, social networking and Twitter have opened the floodgates on snarky commentary. "I have sat on the sidelines for the last decade and watched as everyone and the brother has ripped off Pop Up in some way or another with the internet coming out of nowhere and Twitter being hauntingly familiar and all of these devices that are using snarky, pithy text," said Thompson. Perhaps inevitably, VH1 will also introduce interactive elements, including polling and user-generated pop-up content. "Our audience has a particular nostalgia for Pop Up Videos, but they're also seeking more information on multiple platforms," said Jeff Olde, VH1's executive vp original programming and production. "They're [using social networking] to create their own pop-ups in a way. So we can hit the nostalgia beat but also have it feel like it's relevant and current."

For those of you who are not familiar with the show (or would just like a reminder), here is the Pop-Up Video version of the Rick Astley video for Never Gonna Give You Up:

OMG … I love this show so much. I have to tell you … I’ve known about the return of Pop-Up Video for a while now. A new friend named Nicole is working on the show … she is one of the people responsible for coming up with the fun trivia facts that will pop-up in the videos. I cannot WAIT to see this show again. There are a lot of great music videos out now (not to mention the ones that came out in the past 10 years that Pop-Up was off the air) that are will be GREAT for Pop-Up Video. Altho I’m a bit creeped out by the fact that we are now enjoying 90′s nostalgia, I am excited that fun shows like this are making a come-back. You may recall that we learned back in March that MTV is bringing back the alternative music show 120 Minutes so that coupled with the return of Pop-Up Video means … people may actually watch music videos again. Any Pop-Up Video fans out there? Which videos that you remember are your faves? Which new videos do you think will make great additions for the show now?

Jared Leto Poses For Terry Richardson On The Streets Of Paris, France

Posted: 25 May 2011 09:56 AM PDT

When last Jared Leto posed for his BFF photographer Terry Richardson, he and his band 30 Seconds to Mars were hanging out at the Museum of Sex in NYC, NY. Since then, Leto and Richardson have made their way across the pond to Paris, France. Terry shared a few new photos of and with Jared in the beautiful City of Lights … some of which you can see below.

I love NYC but I REALLY love Paris and I think these new photos of Jared in Paris are much cooler than the set of photos he posed for in NYC a couple of weeks ago. Normally, there is more time in between Leto/Richardson photoshoots but these two have been hanging out a lot in the past few weeks. I hope the fun photos keep on coming. I can’t wait to see where the guys pop up next.

Justin Bieber Shows Off His New ‘Jesus’ Tattoo

Posted: 25 May 2011 08:37 AM PDT

Yesterday new photos of a shirtless Justin Bieber, who is currently on holiday in Hawaii with his girlfriend Selena Gomez, made their way to the Internets and the fine folks at Idolator noticed that the Biebs was showing off a new tattoo. Bieber already has a tattoo of a small bird on his small body but apparently, the pint-sized popstar got himself some new ink as well. It would seem that Biebs has got big love for Jesus … because he got his name tattooed in Hebrew on his ribcage.

Bieber‘s new ink is called the Yeshua, which is the Hebrew spelling of the name Jesus. Now … I’m never a fan of getting anyone else’s name tattooed on one’s body but in this instance, I think it’s OK. I’m also not really a fan of Americans getting words in foreign languages tattooed on their bodies (mainly because they usually have no idea if the foreign spelling is correct or not) but, again, I think JB is OK here. Ribcage tattoos are pretty intense so mebbe Beiber wants the world to know his love for Jesus is hardcore. What do you think of badass Bieber and his newest tattoo?

‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1′ Releases A Teaser Poster

Posted: 25 May 2011 08:10 AM PDT

Last month, Entertainment Weekly gave us our first official look at the upcoming 2-part sequel film The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 with the first batch of promo photos released from the film … then a second batch of promos made their way to the Internets. Today we get our first look at the first official movie poster for the film. Bear in mind, the poster is only a teaser so we don’t see much … but it’s our first look so … check it out below.

Again … it’s a teaser … so we’re meant to be teased. I suspect that we will soon be seeing character posters from the film but this first look is only meant to kick off the official promo train. Breaking Dawn – Part 1 will open in theaters on November 18 … which you know will be here sooner than you think. As for the poster … do you like it?
