A Rumored Photo Of Britney Spears & Rihanna Rehearsing For The ‘Billboard Music Awards’ Hits The Internets

Posted: 22 May 2011 11:05 AM PDT

Yesterday we learned the exciting RUMOR that Britney Spears will be performing with Rihanna and Nicki Minaj in two different performances at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas, NV tonight and altho that rumor has not been officially verified, it’s pretty certain that at least part of the rumor will turn out to be true. Breathe Heavy has a photo that is said to be of Britney and Rihanna rehearsing for the awards show … check it out below and see what you think.

It’s entirely possible that this photo is fake but it looks like it could be the real deal. We will know in just a few short hours whether or not Brit and Ri Ri will, indeed, be performing together but my money says that YES they will. I also believe that Brit will perform with Nicki Minaj as well … but, again, we’ll have to wait and see. Make sure you TUNE IN to the Billboard Music Awards TONIGHT to see what happens :D

Rapture Bomb

Posted: 22 May 2011 10:55 AM PDT

As you may know, yesterday was said to be the End of the World by a few nutty folks and altho the majority of sane people did not take the Rapture seriously, many folks did use the opportunity to have some fun. As I mentioned before, our friends Tam and Rob hosted a Judgment Day BBQ and decorated their front yard with clothes that made it look like they were Raptured into Heaven. Rob posted a photo on Twitter and caught the attention of news media around the world … including the Daily Mail in the UK which featured his photo in a report on Rapture Day. Check out Rob’s world famous #RaptureBomb photo below.

It was billed as the biggest event of all time. But, after mighty earthquakes and fiery rain failed to raze the Earth, those hoping it really would be the the end of the world yesterday were left disappointed. Still, predictions that Christ’s second coming would herald the ‘Rapture’ – in which believers are delivered to Heaven, while the rest of us are condemned to Hell – certainly lit up imaginations. As the 6pm deadline passed without Armageddon being unleashed, a tidal wave of doomsday jokes and pictures flooded the internet. Around the world, web surfers posted surreal pictures of clothes looking as though their previous human occupant had miraculously vanished. Although, in fact, the only person to actually disappear was Harold Camping, the 89-year-old retired civil engineer who predicted the Rapture. Camping, who lives few miles from his radio station, was not home late morning Saturday, and an additional attempt to seek comment from him late in the evening also was unsuccessful, with no one answering his front door. He has as yet to make any comment about yet another failed doomsday prediction. He has said that his earlier apocalyptic prediction in 1994 didn’t come true because of a mathematical error. Last month he said: ‘I’m not embarrassed about it. It was just the fact that it was premature, there is … no possibility that it will not happen.’ Twitter followers revelled in mock disappointment. Gavin Middleton wrote: ‘It’s 13 minutes past the Rapture here in New Zealand. I’m still holding out hope for the trumpet call.’ One of Camping’s followers who must be truly disappointed is Michael Garcia. After spending months travelling the country to put up Judgement Day billboards and hand out Bible tracts, he planned to spend Friday evening with his family at home in Alameda, near the Christian media empire’s Oakland headquarters. ‘We know the end will begin in New Zealand and will follow the sun and roll on from there,’ said Garcia, a 39-year-old father of six. ‘That’s why God raised up all the technology and the satellites so everyone can see it happen at the same time.’ Camping has built a multi-million-dollar non-profit ministry based on his apocalyptic prediction. They believe the end of the world today will likely start as it becomes 6pm in the world’s various time zones. Unfortunately for Mr Garcia – but fortunately for New Zealanders – the world kept on turning.

Here is the caption that The Daily Mail published with Rob‘s photo:

Together for all eternity: A couple – clearly pure of heart – leave their worldly possessions behind for the hereafter, in a cute photobomb posted on the net by Rob Sheridan

LOL! I love it. The funniest thing is that for Hallowe’en last year, Rob and Tam dressed as religious fanatics and these clothes are the clothes they wore as their costumes … just brilliant. I don’t know if any of y’all had any fun Rapture Day parties or events but let me tell you, we had a blast. I’m glad that the whole world gets to see how much fun we tend to have around here … Rapture or no Rapture ;)

A Rapturous Birthday Celebration

Posted: 22 May 2011 10:42 AM PDT

Yesterday was a very fun-filled day that was supposed to be the end of the world but ended up being just a really awesome Saturday. To get things started, David and I were invited to our friends Tamar and Rob’s house for a Judgment Day BBQ and then last night we made our way to Pali House for Darion’s 30th birthday party. Today, I’m nursing a hangover so, yeah, it was a pretty sweet day.

Rob had these Jesus glasses that actually made you see the word JESUS and crosses when you looked at bright points of light. So cool. We busted open the piƱata and ate amazing BBQ … ’twas a lot of fun. Had the Rapture actually happened, it would’ve just put a stop on all the fun … and no one wanted that.

After we BBQed, we made our way to Darion’s party and got to hang out with only a MILLION of his friends … including Dexter star Michael C. Hall:

MCH is dating one of Darion’s friends so he decided to crash the party … much to everyone’s GLEE :D Honestly, I was far too inibriated to even think about anything other than not falling over so … my memories of last night’s party are hazy. I do remember getting to hang out with Jim and Derek, who I haven’t seen in ages and LOVE so dearly. I also got to hang out with Steph and Alek as well … Darion has an uncanny way of getting people together again. Last night was a blast … and I’m paying for it this morning.

This afternoon, David and I are jetting off to Las Vegas to spend a couple of days at the fabulous new Cosmopolitan Hotel and Casino. We’ll be seeing Kylie Minogue in concert at the Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace tonight so David and I are very excited for our LV adventure. Happy Sunday!

Kelly Clarkson Is Releasing A New Single In July

Posted: 22 May 2011 10:07 AM PDT

Back in March we learned from Kelly Clarkson herself that her new album, already recorded and ready to go, will be released in September of this year … but today we learn that she will be dropping the first single from that new album in July! This weekend, Kelly posed for the album artwork and she posted a photo from the shoot on her official Twitter profile … which you can see below.

Always the active Facebooker, Kelly Clarkson took to the social network again this past weekend to clear up a few rumors after another demo of hers leaked. Within her message, the original “American Idol” revealed that the first single off her next album will reach fans this July. “The recording is all done and now we’re finishing up with mixing the record and getting ready to release the single in July,” she writes. (Facebook.com/KellyClarkson)

OMG, yay … and FINALLY! It’s been far too long since we’ve been blessed with new Kelly Clarkson music so I am very happy to learn that we will be getting her new single in July and then an entire new album in September. As for this album photoshoot, she writes:

Me and my new puppy Joplin on the set of my photo shoot for my new album. He’s adorable!

He is adorable! While I pretty sure that her album cover will be a more serious photo than this, I am LOVING this relaxed photo of Kelly and Joplin. She is really one of the most down-to-Earth musicians around. I just love her. I cannot WAIT for her new music to be released. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

First Look: ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ Releases A First Teaser Poster

Posted: 22 May 2011 09:24 AM PDT

The new Spider-Man reboot film, The Amazing Spider-Man, won’t be released until July 2012 but today we are getting our first look at the first teaser poster for the film … and it’s a pretty effing boring poster. As you may recall, back in February we got out first look at a promo poster for the film that showed us the new Spider-Man in action as he modeled the new costume. This teaser poster does show us what the logo for the film will look like but it does not show us anything AT ALL more of substance.

We’ve had a couple of neat images of of Andrew Garfield as the rebooted webslinger, but this is the first official promo material that’s been released for the movie. The logo does the job well enough, but it’s not quite up there with the iconic lettering of Sam Raimi’s original trilogy. While the logo is the focal point of the teaser poster, the compelling background will no doubt be put under microscopic scrutiny by rabid fanboys. It looks like it could be Spidey’s tough new suit, but there’s the merest hint of washed out red and blue in the dark colour palette. There also could be a scaly echo of Rhys Ifans’ Lizard in the texture, although maybe that’s just overthinking things a bit. Whatever that backdrop is, it looks like it’s taken some damage…

In all fairness, we are still over a year away from the film’s release so the fact that we are getting a teaser poster at all this far in advance of the film’s release is pretty cool … but I’m so unimpressed by this poster, I can’t really get all that excited. The Spidey promo photo we saw back in February was pretty dang awesome … that photo would’ve made for an excellent poster. But, as I said, we have a long time yet to wait before the film hits theaters and this poster is the first of many to come, I’m sure. Here’s hoping the next poster, tho, offers a bit more excitement … or something.

Watch: Justin Timberlake, Andy Samberg & Lady Gaga Perform ’3-Way (The Golden Rule)’ on ‘Saturday Night Live’

Posted: 22 May 2011 08:48 AM PDT

Earlier this week we saw photos of Justin Timberlake and SNL castmember Andy Samberg on the streets of NYC filming a new Digital Short for Saturday Night Live and last night the short was aired on the show. From the look of the photos we saw this week, it appeared the guys were filming a sequel to their 2009 short Motherlover. In actuality, they filmed a new short titled 3-Way (The Golden Rule) that featured a guest performance by Lady Gaga. I gotta say, it’s a pretty funny digital short about the joys of 3-Way sex. Check it out in full below.

Click HERE to watch the Digital Short on You Tube if the embed above is not working for you. I honestly really love this clip … the song is even really catchy. I normally roll my eyes out of my head when these Digital Shorts are released but this one was not only cute and funny but it was also entertaining. This might be my fave Lady Gaga song of all time ;) It’s a very cute clip, enjoy!
