Jon Voight: “Being reunited with Angie is very precious to me”

As you may remember, Angelina Jolie and her father, Jon Voight, quietly put aside their differences several years ago. There has never been a super-happy photo op of the two embracing or anything - I personally think that one of Angelina's prerequisites for allowing her father back into her life must have been "we're doing this all on the downlow." Still, over the past few years, Jon has been spotted around Angelina and her family (he even made a trip to Venice while she was filming The Tourist), and Jon has confirmed their ongoing relationship in interview after interview. I partly think it's nice that Angelina has let her dad back into her life on her terms, but I'm also waiting for the other batsh-t crazy shoe to drop. We can debate whether or not Angelina is insane, but can we all agree that IF she is insane, she got it from her father? Anyway, Jon has given yet another interview about his daughter:

He has spent nearly a decade bitterly and publicly estranged from his daughter Angelina Jolie – but now Hollywood star Jon Voight has revealed they have reconciled after he was struck by an emotional epiphany.

The Oscar-winner has spoken for the first time of how he changed his attitude 'in a moment', and now lives for his family.

The 72-year-old fell out with Jolie in 2002 when he accused her of having 'serious mental problems', while Jolie, 37, had criticised him for having an affair behind her mother's back.

Father and daughter had their first tentative meeting in Venice last year after Jolie's husband, Brad Pitt, acted as go-between.

Now Voight says the feud is over and he feels very close to his grandchildren, three biological and three adopted.

Speaking from Los Angeles, he said his change of heart came in an instant.

He said: "I suddenly saw things differently and everything shifted. That one moment changed my whole life. It gave me back my daughter and my family. Being reunited with my Angie is very precious to me. I adore my grandchildren, they are my great love. It makes me so emotional and grateful."

"When my daughter sees me with them she says she sees another energy in me which takes over. I'm always laughing and completely happy when I'm with them. It makes Angie so happy too, as you can imagine."

Well, that's nice. I guess. Jon gets to spend some time with his grandkids (probably on Angelina's terms, once again) and he gets to talk about her and the kids in the press, because that's his favorite thing to do. Throughout the years, the tabloids have always suggested that Brad was the one pushing for Angelina to reconcile with Jon, and that Brad was the one who arranged this reunion we now have. I've always been doubtful of that though - I think Brad is really close with his family, and he probably doesn't understand how Angelina and Jon could have been so estranged for years, but I don't see him pushing the issue…? I don't know.

Linnocent is “delusional, clueless, surrounded by sycophants” says new report

So Linnocent showed up 85 minutes early for her morgue duty on Friday. That came after she was 40 minutes late on Thursday, and she got turned away for being an unreliable crackhead. Within hours of her arrival at the morgue, TMZ had already gotten hilarious "exclusives" about Linnocent dealing with the dead and their assorted body fluids, which allegedly grossed out LL. As many of us theorized, Linnocent probably hadn't even slept - she had probably been tweaking and snorting all night long (more on that in a moment), and I would imagine that she was desperate for a hit of something, anything, several hours into her morgue duty. Thus, someone ("someone") tried to smuggle some crackie "cupcakes" into the morgue:

The L.A. County Coroner… turned away a dude who was delivering 36 fancy cupcakes to Lindsay Lohan and 35 of her closest friends at the morgue.

We found out about it and called Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter to inquire, and he said, “WHAT!” — and then went to the front door and turned the delivery guy away
Winter told TMZ, “It’s unacceptable. We’re not here to accept food,” adding there are not 36 people in Lindsay’s program, so some of the cupcakes were apparently earmarked for the Coroner’s staff.

We found out the order was placed this morning at the fancy, Magnolia Bakery by someone Lindsay knows.

The bakery owner would not tell TMZ whether the order was placed at Lindsay’s behest, but Winter told TMZ he spoke with Lindsay and she said she had nothing to do with the order.

Lindsay Lohan didn’t want to be a stiff during her first day at the morgue …so she went in and washed soiled linens, scrubbed toilets and seemed to enjoy her time with the other volunteers … sources tell TMZ.

We’re told LiLo said she felt “terrible” about showing up late and being such a distraction on Thursday, so she went to bed early to avoid a repeat performance.

Lindsay, we’re told, didn’t act like a spoiled brat. Like so many of her friends, she got down on her hands and knees …. and cleaned floors. She even socialized with some of the other volunteers.

As for the whole burger and cupcake thing … Lindsay told friends she wasn’t trying to bribe anyone … but the gesture was just another way to show the staff how sorry she was for being late the day before.

So did she order the cupcakes or not? Did she lie about it to Mr. Winter? Did Mother Crackhead order the cupcakes for Linnocent, figuring that ‘who would say "no" to crack cupcakes’? Was there a little something-something "hidden" in some of the special cupcakes? I do not know the answers to any of these questions, but I can make a good guess.

Alright, now back to Linnocent tweaking and snorting and partying before her community service hours. The NY Post got this "exclusive" report about The State of The Cracken at this point. I feel like we're supposed to be sympathetic to this portrayal of a dumb crackie who always finds herself in the center of various crack dramas, but I just can't feel it. Mostly, I just think she's pathetic and she's brought this all on herself:

Slumped on the sofa at a private house party in Malibu, Lindsay Lohan reaches clumsily for her bag. Her artificially plumped lips parted company with their last cigarette several minutes ago, and she's clearly in need of a nicotine fix. Fumbling among the detritus in her designer tote, she pulls out a box of Parliament Lights and a tattered notebook, and begins scribbling pensively.

"I write absolutely everything down," she tells a partygoer after asking him for a light. "It's the only way I can make sense of everything that happens in my life."

While the ramblings of the child star-turned-absentee morgue cleaner would no doubt make for fascinating reading, many would find her thought processes harder to decipher than the Dead Sea Scrolls.

"To say she's delusional would be a major understatement," one former associate tells The Post. "She genuinely seems clueless as to why these things keep happening to her. There is always something, or someone, else to blame."

Just Wednesday, Lindsay was led from the Los Angeles County Superior Court in handcuffs and ordered to post $100,000 bail after Judge Stephanie Sautner angrily stated that Lohan had violated the terms of probation in her misdemeanor shoplifting case by failing to show up for community service at a women's shelter on no fewer than nine occasions.

The following day, Lohan showed up 40 minutes late for court-ordered morgue cleaning at the Los Angeles County coroner's office and was considered a no-show. Lindsay, 25, is due back in court on Nov. 2, when it will be decided if she should face time behind bars.

Dubbed "uninsurable" by the producers of "Inferno," who fired her from the Linda Lovelace biopic last year, Lindsay's latest venture — a $500,000 modeling gig for German designer Philipp Plein — is hanging in the balance. Reports last year claimed the actress was more than $600,000 in debt (her mom, Dina, denied the story), but "cutbacks" are not on Lindsay's agenda.

"Lindsay gets by on checks from club appearances, and from plugging firms on her Twitter account and Web site," a Lohan insider reveals. "The amounts are nothing like what she used to command, but she also gets a lot of things for free: She's not shy of clearing the shelves at a gifting suite. She doesn't really understand the value of money; she hoards hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of shoes and clothes in her apartment, but she won't sell anything to help clear her debts."

Lindsay's friend choices are questionable at best.

"If someone disagrees with her, or tells her she's out of line, she cuts them dead," the acquaintance says. "She is surrounded by sycophants who are hanging on the coattails of her notoriety; she is still very naive and trusting and she gets exploited a lot."

But how did the feted young actress plummet from A-list to "lost cause" status? One friend says it was all in her upbringing.

"She has been exploited for most of her life," the pal says, "so it's unsurprising she doesn't have much grip on reality."

I mean… is this surprising? Nope - we've all known this crap for years. She's delusional. Check. She surrounds herself with enablers. Check. She has crappy parents. Check. She's a crack hoarder. Check. She's in crazy debt. Check. She's a taker and she demands loads of "free" crap. Check. She thinks everybody else is to blame for her problems. Check. Is any of this sad? Should I get all depressed at the state of Linnocent's sad life? I'm mostly sad that one of these days, she's really going to hurt someone, and then it will no longer be a "crack shenanigan".

Kim Kardashian got a supporting part in a legit Tyler Perry movie

Kim Kardashian: Actress. How does that sound? How does that feel coming out of your mouth? It feels like vom, right? Well, Kim Kardashian is not content to simply have acting credits that include "Ray J's on-screen sex partner" and "Dancing With the Stars failure". Kim Kardashian is now accepted as an ACTRESS. Tyler Perry just hired her for a supporting role in his new movie! Oh, Tyler. Girl, we need to talk.

In what amounts to her most substantial acting role so far, Kim Kardashian has signed on to costar in The Marriage Counselor, the Lionsgate film Tyler Perry will next direct, based on his stage play. Shooting begins October 26 in Atlanta. The film tells the story of Judith, an Ivy League-educated relationship expert who makes her living dispensing marital advice, but is so bored with her own marriage that she breaks her professional code and cheats with a smooth talking client only to realize she has made a huge mistake. Jurnee Smollett plays the marriage counselor and Kardashian will play Ava, a co-worker who gives Judith a big city makeover and new confidence as she struggles with her personal issues. Kardashian previously played roles in the films Deep in the Valley and Disaster Movie.

Now, I've long defended Tyler Perry. One of the best things about Perry is that he consistently writes challenging characters for women of color, and he's committed to hiring actresses that Hollywood has often ignored. But seriously - Kim Kardashian? WTF? Was he just *that* blown away by her greasy performance in "Jam (Turn It Up)"?

By the way, Kim was still in NYC, as was Kris Humphries, even after he was seen "moving out" on Thursday. They celebrated her 31st birthday at The Darby on Friday in NYC, and then last night they were in Las Vegas together. You can read more about that BS here.

Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon debut Roc & Roe: how cute are dem babies?

I can't even start with this. Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon debuted "dem babies" on 20/20 Friday night, and now we have access to 20-million photos of these babies. Instead of being in midst of a massive eye-roll twitch, I'm fully prepared to gush about how beautiful and amazing the babies are, and how proud I am of Nick and Mariah. Seriously, y'all! Dem babies are gorgeous, and I like that Mariah and Nick waited a while for the debut, and that once Roc and Roe finally came out, we now get to see lots of adorable pics of them. You can see ABC's slideshow here, and here's a "Dem Babies" website devoted to photos of Roe and Roc.

The star couple’s 6-month-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe Cannon, made their TV debut on 20/20 Friday night during an interview their parents gave to Barbara Walters.

Along with the joy and pride of being a first-time mom, Carey, who told Walters she does not want to have more children, spoke about her difficult pregnancy.

“I don’t think I understood the enormity or the magnitude of what it really does to your body,” she explained. “It’s not just, oh you don’t look pretty and you have a bump.”

But parenthood certainly seems to suit the couple. “My family gives me everything,” Cannon gushed.

“It’s just love,” Carey said. “It’s a beautiful place to be.”

While dad expects Moroccan and Monroe “to get a PhD,” Carey suggested that she wants them to follow in her footsteps. “They really respond to music,” she said, before singing to the babies in their Manhattan nursery.

Lullabies may come easy for Carey – who brought them into the world to the tune of her song “Fantasy” – but opening herself up to marriage again was a different story.

“I never believe that anybody really likes me,” she admitted after Cannon – who showed off his huge “Mariah” tattoo on his back – told her she’s been his crush from day one. “I always think it’s some kind of joke or something.”

While Carey doesn’t specifically address her music mogul ex-husband, Tommy Mottola, she does say that her failed marriage in 1998 made her hesitant to say “I do” a second time.

“Initially I was afraid of the concept of marriage [again],” she said. “But this is a different situation and a different time in my life.”

Now, Carey insists, “No one will steal my spirit.”

Of course the babies entered the world hearing their mother sing. Of course. Of course Mariah expects them to be singers. And I continue to be impressed by Nick's insistence that his kids get an education. As for the state of Mariah and Nick's marriage… well, they've surprised me so far. I hope that they make it in the long run.

Oh, and this is maybe the BEST PHOTO EVER. Yes, Mariah is already draping Monroe in diamonds. OF COURSE.

Blake Lively & Ryan Reynolds photographed together in Boston

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively were finally photographed together. I mean, obviously, they've been photographed together before - they were love interests in The Green Lantern. But this is the first time they've been photographed together now that they are a couple. Now that Blake has dumped (???) Leonardo DiCaprio and whatever Ryan had with Scarlett Johansson and/or Sandra Bullock is over. Blake and Ryan were spotted leaving his rented apartment in Boston (where he's filming R.I.P.D. with Jeff Bridges and Kevin Bacon). Surprisingly, Blake was the one who was covered up - you can't even see her face in these pics. What good is that?

My favorite part of these photos is the big, pretty dog that is giving the whole situation the side-eye. Is that Ryan's puppy? The dog is beautiful, and I think her/his side-eye speaks for all of us.

All of the major outlets got "tips" on what's going down with Ryan and Blake too. Blake's publicist is a genius! People Magazine points out that today is Ryan's 35th birthday, and that's why Blake was in town - to help him "celebrate". Us Weekly reported that Blake and Ryan had a sushi date, and that Ryan took her to the South Station "where Reynolds was seen giving Lively an affectionate goodbye." A "Lively source" tells Us Weekly, “They’re seeing each other casually. Now they’re both single and trying it out.” But! People Mag's source claims: "They are very much a couple. They’re really happy together.” So is it casual or not?!?

Meanwhile, Page Six had this weird story about Ryan and Blake hanging out with Sandra Bullock last week in NYC:

Sandra Bullock shared a racy night out with Ryan Reynolds and his girlfriend, Blake Lively, at downtown burlesque hot spot The Box. The trio hit the Lower East Side haunt late Thursday night to celebrate Reynolds' 35th birthday and were entertained by performances, including — wait for it — a "suicidal pregnant prom queen devouring her young."

Despite far-fetched reports that Oscar winner Bullock and "Green Lantern" star Reynolds were dating this summer, a spy tells us, "He was definitely with Blake. Sandra arrived with the couple and a group, and they watched some of the burlesque performers, who were part of the club's homage to 'Deliverance' and also portrayed the 'suicidal prom queen.' The group had a great time and stayed late," our source said. "Sandra left with many of the others, leaving Blake and Ryan alone."

Another source told us, "Blake and Ryan were sitting downstairs holding hands and had bodyguards with them. They left together at around 2:15 a.m."

Earlier, both "Gossip Girl" star Lively and Bullock toasted Reynolds, who turns 35 tomorrow, at a private dinner in the Carriage House at Palma Restaurant on Cornelia Street.

A source reported, "Both Sandra and Blake were at the dinner, which was for around 12 friends. He and Blake were being really cute and affectionate together."

Bullock and Reynolds are longtime friends and starred together in 2009's "The Proposal."

Reynolds and Lively denied reports that they were involved near the end of his marriage to Scarlett Johansson. But things have been heating up between the two following Lively's split from Leonardo DiCaprio. They spent a weekend this month in Boston, where he's shooting the crime movie "R.I.P.D," and Reynolds was seen kissing Lively at a train station before she got on the Acela back to New York. His rep didn't get back to us.

So Blake did NOT steal Sandra Bullock's man. Or if Blake did steal Ryan, Sandra has no hard feelings about it. But I suspect that Sandra and Ryan were simply friends this whole time. If I'm judging Ryan from the girls we know for sure that he's been with since Alanis - Blake, ScarJo, that blonde model - I'd say that Ryan and Sandra probably never dated, that his "type" at this point is blonde model-types who are rather vapid yet ambitious. He can't handle a Sandra Bullock-type at this point.

Freida Pinto in a black Ralph Lauren jumpsuit: gorgeous or busted?

These are some new photos of Freida Pinto in London. She was premiering her new Michael Winterbottom film, Trishna, at the London Film Festival. I don't know anything about the film, so I'm really just writing about Freida because she's so beautiful, and I love her black Ralph Lauren jumpsuit. At first, I thought it was an outfit made of separates - a sparkly, shiny top and some nice slacks. But it's all-in-one, and all of it is glittery and sparkly. You can see the runway look here. The look is absolutely gorgeous on her. Plus, I love her styling. Great hair, beautiful makeup. And you know how I am about a great profile - Freida's profile is magnificent.

I'm also including Freida's photo call look earlier in the day - a paneled Louis Vuitton dress that I'm not in love with. The fit looks off, the colors don't do anything for Freida, and I'm not sure this would look on anybody, really. Meh on this one.

I'm a little surprised that Freida didn't do the London Film Festival premiere with her boyfriend, Dev Patel (her costar from Slumdog Millionaire). There are photos of Freida and Dev from last week, as they were traveling together and looking couple-y, and I thought to myself, "Wow, that's nice that they're still together." But there may be trouble in paradise - a few nights ago they went to a London event, and media outlets noted that their body language seemed "off". And then Dev didn't come to her premiere… hmm. Interesting.
