13 Films That Should Never Be Remade...

Posted: 19 Oct 2011 09:32 AM PDT

Sparkle, Juice and Steel Magnolias are among the classic films currently getting the “remake” treatment in Hollywood…and not everyone is happy about it. So before any further chaos is caused, we've got the DO NOT REMAKE list for budding Hollywood producers.

These are the movies that need to be left where they're at. Check it inside…

Some movies are good the first go round. Times may changes, people may change, but some ish just needs to be left alone.  From Breakfast at Tiffany's to Titanic to Boyz In The Hood (Nia Long & Cuba Gooding, Jr. pictured above on the set), you can’t recreate that type of magic….so why try?

Check out our DO NOT REMAKE gallery for others that should NEVER be put into new production…again....

Amber Rose, who celebrated her 30th b-day (10/21) with a party last week with Wiz, put her "body art" on display for two national magazines recently.  She covers the December 2011 issue of "Urban Ink" as well as the November 2011 issue of "Inked Magazine."

She added,

'It's been over eight years now. Once I did it, I never went back.'

She flipped up the baldie last week to show what she would look like with a 'fro:

50 Cent Pledges A Billion Meals For Hungry Kids, Hits RAZR Launch With Zoe Saldana

Posted: 19 Oct 2011 07:41 AM PDT

Last night, 50 Cent and Zoe Saldana were spotted at Motorola's DROID RAZR Launch in NYC. See their photo inside and find out how what huge pledge Fif just made to feed hungry children around the world....

Zoe Saldana (who's engaged but has been out and about with Curtis a lot these days in support of his Street King drink--doubt rumors of them getting it in are true) and rapper 50 Cent were among the celebs who came out to celebrate the launch of Motorola's new Droid Razr last night in New York City.

Both celebs donned black outfits as they posed on the carpet, and 50 represented his new Street King beverage.

Recently, 50 announced that on behalf of his energy drink, Street King, the company would donate a meal to needy children for every purchase (they estimate this would amount to a billion meals over the next 5 years).

And if that wasn't enough, 50 added that he would also donate a meal for every Facebook “like” the energy drink company gets over the next week.  And if the company meets its goal of 1 million “likes” in 1 week, he promised to double the donation, paying for another million meals for the children.

That's a lot of feeding.....I hope 50's fans go out and support his drink so he can feed the world!

Posted: 18 Oct 2011 04:14 PM PDT

Singer Teairra Mari will appear on "Love & Hip Hop 2," according to her publicist who is already shopping interviews, but VH1 is keeping her a secret for some reason.  But they have confirmed 2 other new cast members.

Check out the brand new promo for the new season and who the new chicks are, plus Royce Reed announces her return to "BBW," inside....

We already know this new season kicks off with a bang as Chrissy reportedly beat down newcomer Kimbella (Juelz Santana's baby mama twice over), shutting down production for days.  And now we also know there's another newbie named Yandy Smith who is Jim Jones' manager..

When last season left off, Emily was moving on from Fabolous (even though they're back together now), Olivia was still pushing for a new album, Somaya was still beefing with the other girls and chasing the dreams of her rap career and moving out her producer's attic, and Chrissy was still waiting on a real answer from Jim Jones to her proposal.

Here's a few pics of the ladies on the set of their promo shoot:

Yandy Smith is in the last two pics.  This ought to get interesting....

And the brand new promo:

"Love & Hip Hop 2" premieres November 14th on VH1.

By the way, Royce Reed will indeed return to "Basketball Wives: Miami" after saying previously she was leaving the show.  She tweeted her change of heart today saying:

Is That....A BALD PATCH Serena?!

Posted: 18 Oct 2011 02:32 PM PDT

Uh oh!  Not too sure how we missed this one earlier, but upon double inspection, this bald patch is like WHOA.  Pics and video of Serena Williams trying to hide what we all can see very clearly inside...

It happens to the best of em.  Wig and weave wearers who switch it up constantly are likely to cause some damage.

Tennis pro Serena Williams was spotted leaving dinner with her good friend Brittny Gastineau last night in Hollywood.  And a suspect bald patch--not sure if this this is a balding wig or balding scalp exposed by a weave--made an appearance before she did:

She tried to cover it up once paps put the camera on her, but oh wells.  I actually like the curls on her.   More mad at her so called bestie (who was first besties with Kim K.) Brittny who didn't tap her on the shoulder and point this ish out to her.  With friends like those....

Peep the video of Serena leaving dinner and trying to scurry past the paps....

T.I. Makes First Talk Show Appearance Since Jail Stint On "The View", Talks Relationship Book

Posted: 18 Oct 2011 01:04 PM PDT

T.I. hit up "The View" today to talk about his new fictional novel, "Power & Beauty," which he says he wrote much of during his last jail stint.

Check out the clip inside of Mr. Harris getting back in the good graces of the ladies, plus his latest interview about the book and his new music, inside...

Cliff hit up "The View" today to discuss his latest novel and also his 11-month sentence and how he's going to keep himself out of trouble.  He told Barbara Walters and the ladies:

In order to have a different result, you'll have to take a different approach.  Staying clean and sober.

And about people's criticms of why he keeps getting in trouble over and over again, he responded:

It should be taken into consideration how long, before becoming T.I., I was living the life I was living.  Since I was 14, 15, 16 years old, and I'm 31 now.  Now, I broke the habit.  It was a whole discipline factor.

Peep the full clip above.

T.I. also spoke with Huff Post Black Voices this week about his return to the game and his upcoming reality show.  Here's a few quotables:

On the synopsis of your novel, "Power & Beauty"
"Power & Beauty" is a fictional story that I collaboratively came up with, with David Ritz, and we set out to make a story about real characters living in the world that I'm all-too familiar with, and the conflicts and challenges that they experience as young teenagers. Or basically, going from their teenage years and being thrust into adulthood by real-life tragic circumstances and the decisions that they make which shapes the rest of their lives.

On his post-jail life
It felt wonderful just to put my feet back onto the ground on this side of things. And everything that came with that was wonderful. For me, that performance was one of the things that came with it that week. I also enjoyed going to my son's football game. I enjoyed sleeping in my own bed. I enjoyed opening my refrigerator, changing the channel on my television -- you know, just the small things in life. And hitting the stage was just one of many things that I was able to get back to and enjoy that week. Actually I hit the stage a few times. Taylor Swift hit me up and we did our thing at Phillips Arena the day after [my release], I believe.

On what fans can expect from his upcoming reality show
We are doing a television documentary, basically a peek inside our life. But the term "reality show" has such a horrible stigma to it. The term "reality show," I feel that it insults the integrity of all of the hard work, effort and energy. And just the passion that a true artist puts into what we really do. Anything that I do is going to be of a certain standard and a certain quality that I feel the term "reality show" conflicts with that. So I ain't going to call it that. It's a television show that me and my family are doing, it's called "The Family Hustle." And basically it gives you a peek inside my life and shows you that I'm responsible for shaping and molding lives, personally and professionally. Personally, everyone in my family got something that they're trying to do and it's my job to take their desires and passions and cultivate their success. And also how to balance my personal life and obligations at home as a son, as father, as a husband, as a friend. As well as how to balance those with my professional obligations. A lot of people always say, "Hey man, how do you always stay so connected with your family and keep strong family ties and still rip and run, and do stuff professionally? How do you work as hard as you do and still stay so present?" And I think this kind of answers their question visually.

On if the kids will learn about his incarceration on the show
Without question. I'm an honest, open father. I'm as transparent as I can be with them understanding. They know that I've done things in life that they are not to ever do. And they know that I've lived a lifestyle that I worked hard for them not to ever have to experience. I stress the point of accountability, of being held responsible for your actions and having to reap what you sow.

More on what the uber millionaires are doing with their dollars inside...

The dad of 3 is part of an investment group, headed by multi-billionaire Joshua Harris, who made the major purchase and was unanimously approved by the NBA Board of Governors.

“My partners and I are thrilled to have become owners of the Sixers,” Joshua Harris said in a statement. ”It is an honor to become part of this storied franchise. We have a lot of work to do, but we have a rich history, a strong foundation and a bright future.”

The Smiths join the likes of Usher (Cleveland Cavs), Nelly (Charlotte Bobcats), and Jay-Z (New Jersey Nets).  Must be real nice....

ON THE SET: Blonde Dreaded Nicki Minaj Channels Weezy At "Y.U. Mad" Video Shoot

Posted: 18 Oct 2011 10:51 AM PDT

The Young Money crew is always down for some silliness. So Nicki Minaj traded in her two-toned harajuku wigs for a blonde (with pink tips of course) wig of dreads. All so she could become "Female Weezy" on the set of their new "Y.U. Mad" video. Check it inside....

Nicki makes a cameo on Lil Wayne and Birdman's "Y.U. Mad" track.  So it's only right she dons her own dreads and handrubs-a-la-Birdman for the video.  Birdman said about making the track:

Nicki gave me that song. She called me one day like, ‘Stunna, I got a record for you I think you would like.’ I jumped on it and put my son on it. I liked it from the start. Working with Nicki is just special anyway and I felt good about it, so we rocked with it.”

Check out their mini-interview on the set above.

And here's video of Nicki doing a whole PSA Female Weezy style.  Sadly, it's spot on.

Jay's character will appear on 4 episodes kicking off this Sunday on HUB network.  Loves this!

Lil Wayne, Eminem, Erykah Badu, & More SURVIVE For GQ Mag's ROCK Issue, Reveal Details Of Drug Pasts

Posted: 18 Oct 2011 09:39 AM PDT

In a cover feature surrounding artists who have survived drug and addiction issues that all come with the rockstar life (and some reveal how they survive the life without drugs), rappers Eminem and Lil Wayne are covering GQ magazine alongside musician Keith Richards.

We've got the other artists involved in the feature, what Em said about his drug induced past (it got crazier than we all thought), behind the scenes video, and more inside...

GQ said about this issue: “The Survivors.” The ones who keep going, evolve, even flourish, long enough for us to still be listening to them ten, twenty, even fifty years later. Forty-six artists about whom you’ll never say, “I only like their early work.” The legends—or legends-in-the-making—who refuse to die, quit, back down or shut up.

He's a little hazy about that time, but Eminem revealed how years ago before entering rehab, he took somewhere between sixty and ninety pills a day, including Valium, Vicodin, Ambien, and Seroquel (used to treat schizophrenia).  His interiew goes ino crazy detail and how he overcame it:

“I’m very much a creature of habit. If I’m used to waking up in the morning and having [a Red Bull],
I could do it every morning for the next ten years straight until I find something else to move on to. So if
I’m used to taking a Vicodin when I wake up in the morning because I’m hungover from -drinking or taking pills…The bigger the crowd, the bigger my habit got.”

"Look, every addict in rehab feels like everyone's staring at them. With me? Everyone was staring at me. I could never be comfortable. There were people there that treated me normal. Then there were a bunch of fucking idiots who aren't even concentrating on their own sobriety because they're so worried about mine. They're stealing my hats, my books—it was chaos. Everything was drama in there. And at the time, I didn't really want to get clean. Everybody else wanted me to. And anyone will tell you: If you're not ready, nothing is going to change you. Love, nothing."

"I came to in the hospital and I didn't know what the fuck happened," he says. "Tubes in me and shit, fuckin' needles in my arms. I didn't realize I had [overdosed]. I wanted my drugs—get me the fuck outta there! I think I was clean for two weeks. I was trying so hard—I was trying to do it for my kids—but I just wasn't ready."

Check out his full interview over at GQ.

Wayne, Erykah, Raekwon and others' interviews go live over the next few weeks.

Check out the behind the scenes footage of the cover and feature shoot above.
