Gay Performers Hit All-Time High On Primetime TV

Posted: 30 Oct 2011 12:40 PM PDT

Bravo!

LGBT themes, characters, and performers have hit an all-time high on primetime television.

28% of all primetime TV have shows that feature LGBT themes and has even inspired a new report titled "The New Mainstream."

One in four scripted series and one in five reality shows in the 2010-2011 season included gay characters, actors and/or storylines, including Modern Family, Grey's Anatomy, The Office, 90210, Glee, House, Dancing With The Stars, and Big Brother 12.

Matt O'Grady of EVP, Audience Measurement at Nielsen says:

"The inclusion of LGBT characters on TV more accurately portrays the diverse and multicultural society we live in by encompassing all segments of the population."

What a huge important step for TV to finally catch up with modern issues. It's wonderful that television is finally creating storylines and characters that reflect EVERYONE.

Even More Proof That X Factor's Stacy Francis Has Been Working HARD The Past 12 Years

Posted: 30 Oct 2011 12:00 PM PDT

In case you're still not convinced that X Factor's Stacy Francis has CLEARLY been working as a singer and performer for the past 12 years or so, we have even MORE proof to show you.

We've already told that she's worked with the best of them: Madonna, Prince, Chaka, and Whitney. We now have pics of her with some of music's biggest stars, including JANET JACKSON!

Okay, sure, the above picture looks a little dated, but Mz. I Haven't Worked In 12 Years was NOMINATED for a 2007 Ovation Award, which awards Southern California performers for their excellence in theater.

AND, she even recorded an album in 2008, including doing a track with Brandy!

Oh guuurl...

This Is The Most Terrifying Thing You Will Ever See!

Posted: 30 Oct 2011 11:40 AM PDT

Forget ghosts, zombies and witches.

THIS is the most terrifying thing we've seen this Halloween season.

Justin Bieber was immortalized at the Madrid Wax Museum in the most horrifying wax figurine we've ever seen.

As if wax figures weren't scary enough, those hands are what nightmares are made of.

Sends shivers down our spines.

Lindsay Celebrates Halloween At The Playboy Mansion

Posted: 30 Oct 2011 11:20 AM PDT

Oh, the irony of this picture.

Lindsay Lohan partied over the weekend by going to the Playboy Mansion's annual Halloween party where La Lohan dressed up as an old maid.

Not sure if it was the greatest idea to pose with a guy in an orange jumpsuit (who is Hef's brother by the way) and a sexy cop.

At least Lindsay's hair looks good!

Yucky! Dozens Of DJs Fired From Clear Channel

Posted: 30 Oct 2011 10:40 AM PDT

EVERYONE is feeling the effects of a tough economy.

Clear Channel Communications, the largest radio station operator in the U.S., have let go dozens of local DJs from several stations across the country.

The company, which has a debt of close to $20 BILLION, says that the layoffs were part of revamping their nearly 600 regional radio stations and NOT to cut costs.

Mmm-hmm.

Company spokeswoman Wendy Goldberg says:

"We've completely rethought our regional market strategy and reinvented our operations in those markets in a way that will let us compete on a new level – and succeed using all of Clear Channel's resources, scale and talent."

Most of the DJs were unable to even say goodbye to their listeners on the air.

Part of their "revamp" is by using a new programming operation that would basically air successful shows on one station and broadcast them on other stations around the country.

Sounds like a cop out to us.

This is really sad for the DJs and other employees who have lost their jobs. It seems like radio is a tough gig to keep these days.

Taylor Swift Sings Sunny Came Home WITH Shawn Colvin!

Posted: 30 Oct 2011 10:20 AM PDT

Taylor Swift never ceases to amaze us with her surprises.

While traveling from city to city on her Speak Now tour, Swifty has been covering hit songs that were originally recorded by local artists.

And she didn't disappoint us during her show in Austin Friday night.

She performed Sunny Came Home and brought out a special guest - none other than Shawn Colvin herself who won the Record of the Year for the song back in 1998.

How cool is that?? The two sound perfect together!

David Arquette Pimps Himself Out For Halloween!

Posted: 30 Oct 2011 10:00 AM PDT

Is this a Sherlock Holmes pimp mashup Halloween costume?

LOLz! Looked a little confusing to us until we saw the pimp cup.

A very classy David Arquette dressed up as an old school pimp as he went party hopping around El Lay Saturday night.

We're really loving the new grill there, David. It suits you well. As always, you never seem to disappoint us!

Already on board is Charlie Sheen who will star as the ladies' man "who goes through fever dreams of past relationships as he tries to recover from a recent breakup and turn his life around."

Ha... HaHa

Also starring in this film is Jason Schwartzman and Aubrey Plaza!!

All right, we're hooked! The roster along warrants our $15!!
