Tone Loc Has Seizure, Collapses On Stage

Posted: 16 Oct 2011 12:20 PM PDT

What is going on?!

Just a day after Rick Ross suffered from two seizures, rapper Tone Loc collapsed on stage during a performance in Atlanta Saturday night.

Several witnesses at the concert said they saw Tone suffer from a seizure on stage, then collapsed.

His reps however, say that he was just merely exhausted from doing 12 shows in two months and he's now fine after being transported to a nearby hospital and given an IV.

12 shows in two months doesn't seem THAT extreme that it would cause so much exhaustion for Tone. But whatever it is, we just hope he gets it checked out and slows it down for the sake of his health.

Rest up and get better.

Lindsay Could Get More Than A Year In The Slammer

Posted: 16 Oct 2011 12:00 PM PDT

Are we even surprised anymore??

As we all know, Lindsay Lohan is scheduled to appear in court this Wednesday to see whether or not she violated her probation.

After failing to show up for her community service work at the Downtown Women's Center 9 different times and not meeting with her therapist every week, as required by court order, Judge Stephanie Sautner is going to have some serious questions for LiLo.

And if Lindsay doesn't convince her with her "excuses," she could be thrown in jail for more than a year.

Shiz.

You better hope the judge is in a severely good mood that day, Linds, because otherwise, no one wants to hear what you have to say.

Zachary Quinto: I'm A Gay Man

Posted: 16 Oct 2011 11:20 AM PDT

Zachary Quinto's acclaimed role as the self-involved Louis Ironson, a man who abandoned his AIDS-stricken boyfriend, in the New York stage show Angels in America, was an eye-opening experience for the actor.

It was the "most challenging thing" he'd ever done as an actor and in a new interview, spoke publicly about his sexual orientation for the first time.

He says:

"Doing that play made me realize how lucky I was to be born when I was born and to not have to witness the decimation of an entire generation of amazingly talented and otherwise vital men.

[It was] the most challenging thing I've ever done as an actor and the most rewarding. And at the same time, as a gay man, it made me feel like there's still so much work to be done, and there's still so many things that need to be looked at and addressed."

He also spoke about society's role in bullying, such as in the case of gay teen Jamey Rodemeyer, the boy who committed suicide after a series of attacks from his bullies. Zach added:

"And again, as a gay man I look at that and say there's a hopelessness that surrounds it, but as a human being I look at it and say 'Why? Where's this disparity coming from, and why can't we as a culture and society dig deeper to examine that?' We're terrified of facing ourselves."

We 100% agree. And, we are so happy that you are speaking out openly and honestly, Zachary. It makes us proud.

Shannen Doherty Ties The Knot In Malibu!

Posted: 16 Oct 2011 10:40 AM PDT

Brenda Walsh Shannen Doherty is officially a married woman!

She and her fiance Kurt Iswarienko tied the knot at a private estate nestled in the hills of Malibu on Saturday.

The two said "I do" to each other at sunset in front of family and friends at their swanky black-tie ceremony, which was filmed for the season finale (oops! spoiler alert!) of her new reality show on WEtv.

This is Shannen's third marriage. Believe it or not, she was previously married to Ashley Hamilton and Rick Salomon.

Third time's the charm for Shannen though. The actress says she wants to have a positive outlook this time around, adding:

"Marriage to me is such a gigantic commitment that it's not something I'd ever go into lightly anymore. "I've learned my lesson."

Good for you, Shannen. We're really happy for you.

Congratulations to the newylweds!

Rick Ross Ends Up Canceling More Shows

Posted: 16 Oct 2011 10:20 AM PDT

No surprise. He needs to get rest!

Despite suffering from two seizures, Rick Ross still planned on taking the stage at his North Carolina and Memphis shows over the weekend.

Looks like Rick changed his mind though, (which he should have done in the first place!) and decided to cancel his performances at the Greensboro Coliseum in North Carolina and his Friday night show in Memphis.

Rick's reps wouldn't elaborate on WHY he decided to cancel, but we have a pretty good feeling that it was due to his health.

Take time to get some rest and take care of yourself, Rick. Your health is way more important!

SIGHting

Dina Lohan outside East Hampton Studio Friday night, telling the press that her daughter Lindsay is "great," "wonderful," and "really on" her community service, despite reports that she was booted from her position at the Downtown Women's Center for...well, pretty much the exact opposite!

Who's shocked? Anyone?

Wonder if Judge Stephanie will be just as huge of a fan of LiLo's work ethic!

Cloverfield Director Snags Gig On New Twilight Zone Remake!

Posted: 16 Oct 2011 09:40 AM PDT

Oh! Inneresting choice!

Matt Reeves, most well-known for Cloverfield and more recently, his US remake of Let The Right One In, has been reportedly tapped by Warner Brothers to helm Jason Rothenberg's adaptation of The Twilight Zone TV series, which is also being produced by Leonardo DiCaprio!

Apparently, the position was seriously in demand by a variety of different, well known directors, and the final contract negotiations will be underway during the next week or so!

Unlike the last film based on the Rod Sterling classic, which was an anthology, the new project will be more of a science fiction action flick, with a single story linked to the original in tone and aesthetic!

Well, Reeves has certainly proven he can more than handle action, horror, monsters, AND a college-aged Keri Russell unable to decide between two different, if not equally attractive suitors, so we're curious to see what he brings to this one!

What do U think?? Are U looking forward to a new Twilight Zone flick??

Spider-Man Will Knock Your Socks Off On Broadway!

Posted: 16 Oct 2011 09:20 AM PDT

We had a lot of trepidations about seeing Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark on Broadway. We had heard so much bad buzz and the show was so fraught with real-life drama, but saw it on Saturday night and....

It was one of the most dazzling theatrical experiences we have ever seen!

And, most of that, we think, can be attributed to the bold and inspired work of Julie Taymor, who also helmed Disney's groundbreaking Lion King stage musical.

EVERYTHING about Spider-Man worked! The music, from Bono and U2, was so beautiful and varied. It was nuanced, passionate, fun and meaningful!

The performances, especially that of Patrick Page as the Green Goblin, were great!

The sets were breathtaking! The stunts were jaw-dropping! The costumes were clever!

But, most importantly, the show was not campy or silly. It had a sense of gravitas. We bought into this world and FELT for the title character.

Plus, Spider-Man gave us a little bit of everything! It had action, romance, drama, science fiction and even comedy!

It was so spectacular!!!!

Can't recommend it enough!!!

The only problem with the show???? It seems like it would be impossible to take on the road and tour the Broadway production!

So see it here - like it's meant to be seen!
