Kandi Burruss Covers UPSCALE Magazine's April 2013 Issue, Explains Why Pre-Nups Should Be "Standard" Posted: 21 Mar 2013 08:53 AM PDT Kandi Burruss is helping to ring in Spring as she rocks a lime & white lace dress for the cover of UPSCALE magazine.  Check out what the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star has to say about the controversy she's stirring aorund pre-nups... Kandi knows how to bring the soft and pretty when she needs to.  The 36-year-old singer/songwriter is looking fab on the April 2013 cover of UPSCALE magazine.  And while topping off her lips with a trendy orange lip color, Kandi chatted up the mag at her Atlanta studio to give the scoop on her new Bravo television show, "The Kandi Factory", and her relationship with fiancé Todd Tucker. She also answered advice questions from UPSCALE readers on everything from relationships and sex to money and business.  And of course, she gave her explanation about the recent controversy she caused on RHOA after her comments about why pre-nuptial agreements should be mandatory. On her relationship with fiancé Todd: “The cool thing about Todd and I is that he’s very smart, intelligent. We have so many ideas that we’re planning to make happen together. We’re workaholics. That’s something we’ve been talking about lately, trying to find more ‘us’ time.” On everyone making a big deal about her suggesting a prenup: "I don’t see why it’s such a huge topic of conversation. Pre-nups should be standard. Those things should be put in place when everyone is thinking clear-minded. Why would you wait until y’all fall out? People do things to hurt the other when they’re hurt. If I was a man and made that [comment about pre-nups] I don’t think people would’ve even cared, probably.”   And here's a taste of the real talk Kandi gave to a reader in her special Advice Segment in the issue: I've been casually dating this guy. He's really nice but I'm not really feeling him like that sexually. Should I kick rocks or hope it gets better? —Bianca, Denver, CO Kick rocks [laughs]. The reason why is because old married couples always told me that there are three things to make a relationship work: financial stability, good communication and great sex. If any one of those things break down? The whole thing is falling apart. Think about it though—if the sex ain’t good, one of y’all will get bored and cheat or just be bored and tired of them. Financial stability— and I don’t mean rich. I just mean stable— being able to maintain and do day-to-day stuff. If the person never has financial stability and they’re never able to pull it together, then you’re having financial arguments and when you have arguments and y’all fighting all the time about money, then what happens? CUTENESS: First Lady Michelle Obama And First Dog Bo BRING EASTER GOODIES To Military Families Posted: 21 Mar 2013 08:18 AM PDT First Lady Michelle Obama brought First Dog Bo along for a trip to visit military families at the Walter Reed Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland yesterday. Find out what goodies The FLOTUS passed out inside..... The FLOTUS Michelle Obama, dressed in full out spring colors for the first day of spring, brought Easter goodies to a few military families staying at Fisher House in Bethesda yesterday.    Wearing a purple cardigan set with a pleated skirt and a strand of pearls, it was Mrs. O's second trip to Fisher House, where families live while our servicemen are treated at the Walter Reed Medical Center.   Mrs. Obama spoke about Fisher House saying, it is just 'so important to families who are recuperating. As you can see, the houses are beautiful. And all around the country, they are as beautiful, welcoming and comforting as you guys are experiencing here." Bo roamed around the room and Mrs. O passed out Easter cookies shaped like the 4-year-old Portugese water dog.      Our fab First Lady also helped the children with some Easter crafts and revealed that everyone would receive tickets to the annual White House Easter Egg Roll on April 1.  Nice!   And as President Obama continues his first official trip to Israel to promote racial harmony, it's refreshing to see the First Lady holding down the homefront for the families of those who put their lives on the line.  Fab! TV FAB: Halle Berry Discusses Her OWN Scary "911" Moment While Promoting "The Call" Posted: 21 Mar 2013 07:46 AM PDT Halle Berry appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!"  last night in a sexy dress where she promoted her film The Call and discussed her own scary moments on the otherside of a "911" call.  Watch the inteview inside....  Last night, Halle Berry chatted it up with Jimmy Kimmel where she talked about the upcoming "My Little Pony Bowling Party" she is planning for 5-year-old Nahla.  And she revealed that the little one has her own bowling shoes (which she received as a gift).  'At five they don't really know what day is the day, so we're having a little pony bowling party. The ponies will not bowl." She also said that Nahla doesn't understand that Mommy is a big Hollywood actress, but she was really excited about her appearance in Sesame Street.  She told her friends, "My mommy met Elmo." And while discussing her latest Hollywood flick, The Call, Halle discussed her own scary "911" call where she phoned in to report an intruder who had broken into her property.  She described the amount of fear she felt and how the "911" operator had to calm her down and talk her through the home invasion.   "About a year before doing this movie I found myself having to call 911 myself. Somebody was actually trying to break into my property and the scary part for me was I thought he was in my house." "The operator said, 'Be quiet, you've got to stop talking.' And the last thing I could do was stop talking. And I kept talking, and she said, 'Ma'am stop talking.' My body was on auto nerves pilot." Watch Halle's interview here....

SPRING BREAKER: Jamie Foxx's Daughter CORINNE Flaunts Her Bikini Bod On Miami Beach Posted: 21 Mar 2013 06:53 AM PDT There's a reason why Django Unchained star Jamie Foxx's daughter, Corinne Foxx, had folks all a-Twitter during last month's Academy Awards.  Because she's an absolute stunner.   Check out the 19-year-old flaunting her bikini bod and chillin' on Miami Beach for Spring Break... Oh the life of teens.  After finishing a semester and a half at college, youngin' Corinne (who celebrated her b-day last month) is all about Spring Break.  Jamie's oldest daughter and her friends hit the beaches of Miami to relax and have some fun.  And we've been saying Corinne is a YBF chick for a while now, but she's growing in to a gorge young lady who we also hear is pretty grounded:   Cute bikini top.    Fab times.   Lil Foxx, who often posts positive carefree messages on her Twitter page, also posted her own pic on the beach saying, "Bring on the sunshine, the laughter, the love. RELEASED: Bobby Brown Starts...And COMPLETES 55-Day Jail Sentence......In NINE HOURS! Posted: 21 Mar 2013 06:21 AM PDT Singer Bobby Brown is a free man after serving a whopping 9 hours....of a 55-day jail sentence.  Decide if America's justice system is a "fail" inside....   Controversial R&B singer Bobby Brown, who has a very long history with substance abuse, was sentenced to 55-days in jail following his most recent DUI arrest.  But it's the amount of time he spent behind bars that's put him on Lindsay Lohan-status. Though a judge sentenced the singer to 55-days in jail for his third DUI arrest (it was his second arrest in 7 months), he spent a total of nine hours behind bars.  If that sounds shocking, it's interesting to note that being a "celebrity" had very little to do with the short turnaround time.  Bobby was in-and-out so quickly because of jail-overcrowding! Now that he's out on the road again, he's expected to attend alcohol education classes for 18 months and complete 4 years of probation.  We can only hope he makes it through without violating probation or turning back to the bottle.

HOT SHOT: Beyonce For H&M's Summer 2013 Campaign Posted: 21 Mar 2013 05:36 AM PDT Beyonce is giving the summer some.  For H&M's 2013 Summer campaign, the "Bow Down" singer is taking over the ads, the commercials and even helping to design some of the looks.   Deets and the first official pic inside.... Looks like that beachy photoshoot in the Bahamas back in January was indeed for H&M.   H&M just released their first Summer Campaign ad, and it's featuring fab chick Beyonce Knowles. WWD reports the singer will appear in billboards, print ads, and televsion commercials for the affordable retailer for their summer advertising push.  The site released some details about what we can expect--including Bey aiding in the designs herself and helping with the charitable line: “They are full of her own personal style,” said Ann-Sofie Johansson, head of design at H&M. Items include what’s described as “the perfect body-con dress,” a beach gown slashed to the thigh, high-waist shorts and a sleeveless shirt. In one of the ad images, Beyoncé wears a tie-dye bikini from the H&M for Water range, with a quarter of sales donated to the WaterAid charity. And speaking of commercials, Bey will also be releasing a song specifically for her commercial(s), called "Standing In The Sun".  The 31-year-old said about shooting the campaign: “It was a beautiful shoot on a tropical island. VIDEO FAB: Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" Ft. T.I. & Pharrell + Wale's "Bad" Posted: 20 Mar 2013 07:45 PM PDT Robin Thicke just released his brand new video for his new single "Blurred Lines."  Pharrell & T.I. hop in the visuals, plus Wale drops his "Bad" video....   Robin Thicke premiered his new "Blurred Lines" video on "106 & Park" tonight.  And after his finale of "Real Husbands of Hollywood" last night, he dropped this video today telling Access Hollywood: "I figured this was a great song with a personality that matched the show.  The silliness and the sexiness, we just felt like it was the perfect song to air at the end of the show to keep that life alive." Robin and his homies T.I. & Pharrell, who also appear on the vintage style dance track, dance around with half naked models, furry animals, and metallic suits.  Check out the craziness above.  And Robin's upcoming album is yet to be titled.   MMG's Wale also dropped his new video for his single "Bad."  The song features Tiara Thomas and he tapped model Bria Murphy for the visuals. Wale's new album The Gifted hits stores June 25th.

HE STRIKES AGAIN! Chad Ochocinco GOES IN On Evelyn Lozada.....On TWITTER Posted: 20 Mar 2013 04:48 PM PDT Chad Ochocinco struck Evelyn Lozada once again....but this time it was on Twitter.  Find out what nasty secrets Chad spilled on the web inside...   Earlier today, Chad Ochocinco lashed out as his ex-wife Evelyn Lozada.  But unlike the first time....this was a virtual smackdown.  Ev's ex-husband used his Twitter timeline to throw a few jabs at Evelyn's publicist Danika Berry....and of course Evelyn was caught in the crossfire. In the tweets, Chad makes reference to Evelyn cheating on him with more than one person and insinuates that she might be sleeping with someone from the YMCMB crew to keep her money up.  So far, Danika has not responded to Chad and we're not sure why he got so upset with her for doing PR for her client....it's her job.  On Evelyn's side, she has not addressed Chad directly but she did tweet....   And on Instagram she posted.....   SMH....remember when he was so hard pressed to get her back? Tyga also shot his video for "Molly" featuring Wiz Khalifa. The video will be directed by Colin Tilley and will drop soon.  Not the biggest fan of songs glorifying bad drug use, but maybe people will get something else from it.     And Melanie Fiona has tried her hand at fellow Toronto native Drake's "Started From The Bottom."  She rocks her Toronto hat and represents for her city.  She even creates her own beats with just her hands and voice.  While working on her third album, she tweeted: “Toronto stand up! Cedric The Entertainer To Host 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' + Michael Baisden LEAVES Radio Show...And Gets LOCKED OUT Of Studio + Jennifer Hudson & Octavia Spencer STARRING In New LIFETIME Movie Posted: 20 Mar 2013 12:43 PM PDT Cedric The Entertainer has just landed a plum spot on daytime television as the host of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire."  Get the deets inside and read about Michael Baisden's shocking departure from radio and Jennifer Hudson's new LIFETIME film....   Funnyman Cedric The Entertainer has joined long-running syndicated game show "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" as the host of the show's 12th season.  Janice Marinelli, president, Disney-ABC Domestic Television dished the news saying, "With his deep roots as a successful stand-up comedian and actor, Cedric will bring his fresh approach and unpredictable fun to the show." Cedric, who also stars in his own TV LAND sitcom "The Soul Man," talked about his new gig saying,  "I'm truly looking forward to hosting 'Millionaire. The show is a modern day game show GIANT, and the team at Disney-ABC has been great at putting the right elements together over 11 seasons. I'm excited to entertain all those who watch and play as season 12 launches ... It's going to be a good time every day!!" Congratulations to Cedric!   And on the radio.... Michael Baisden has announced that he is leaving his successful radio program after nearly 10-years on the air.  He posted a letter to his fans via his Facebook page where he made it pretty clear that it was not his intention to leave the show....but things happen.  Where have we heard this before? Though he didn't get into the behind-the-scenes politics behind the decision, the motivational speaker put a very positive spin on the situation and said that "It’s Not About The Job It’s About The Journey." Here a snippet of his announcement to fans.... For years I’ve encouraged you to step out on faith to live your dream, to never compromise your principles, and most importantly, not to be afraid to try something new, but above all else, dare to be different. Well, it’s time for me to practice what I preach! No, it was not my intention to leave radio, I had plans for The Michael Baisden Live Tour, my 10-year anniversary party in DC in July, and I was looking forward to being on the air this summer to get justice for Trayvon Martin and his family. But sometimes fate, the universe, God, or however you want to label that undeniable force, has it’s own plans. Someone once told me that the greatest experiences in life are unplanned ones. I guess I’m about to test that theory. Oscar winners Jennifer Hudson and Octavia Spencer have both signed on for the Lifetime original movie Call Me Crazy: A Five Film, about mental illness.  According to the press release, the film "brings together an all-star ensemble cast with five interwoven stories about how everlasting bonds of love and family can overcome life’s most challenging hurdles." Executive producer/Actress Jennifer Aniston talked about her involvement in the project saying, "When we started researching this topic, we were all surprised to learn that one in four adults lives with some sort of mental illness. With so many people dealing with this in their private lives, there is still so much stigma and shame. It's time we bring it out of the closet and into the light of day.” Call Me Crazy is actually an extension of the Five series which was started in 2011 and focused on breast cancer. You'll recall that Tracee Ellis Ross was among the celebs who starred in that series and Alicia Keys was a producer.  The movie premieres Saturday, April 20, at 8:00pm ET/PT on Lifetime.

Jeezy, Rick Ross, Juicy J & T.I. + Rih's Tour Buses Get STOPPED For Weed At Canadian Border Posted: 20 Mar 2013 11:52 AM PDT Pour it up, Pour it up.  Rihanna's balling out with Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, Juicy J. and T.I. for her brand new remix.  Check it inside, plus why her tour buses got stopped at the Canadian border today.... As Rihanna just wrapped up two nights in Toronto on her Diamonds tour, she's letting the fellas take over her "Pour It Up" track for the official remix.   Young Jeezy's up first on the track, then Rozay pops in with a few bars, Juicy J. adds his strip club flow to the newest strip club anthem, and T.I. closes it out trap style.  Rihanna's hook stays in tact. Check out the "Pour It Up Remix" below: Not gonna lie.  This remix BANGS.  We like it better as a rap track with Rih on the hook.   Meanwhile, Rihanna's 10 tour buses were crossing the Canadian border into Detroit today (ahead of her tour stop in the D tomorrow) when they were stopped.  All because border patrol smelled...you guessed it...weed. TMZ reports only a "small stash" (the real shocker) was found on one person after a bus-to-bus search with drug sniffing dogs.  The fella who was caught received a "civil penalty" citation. It's all good though.  Rihanna wasn't on any of the buses....and she still got her money.

Bow Wow RESPONDS To $80K Lawsuit JUDGEMENT, Says French PORN STAR "Aint Getting A Dime From Us!" Posted: 20 Mar 2013 10:41 AM PDT Rapper Bow Wow is speaking out about the $80K lawsuit he just lost, claiming he isn't paying a dime to the porn star who claims he ripped off her image.  Find out what he said inside....   Scary Movie 5 star and "106 & Park" host Bow Wow has finally spoken out about the $80K lawsuit he lost after a French porn star sued him for using images of her pole-dancing in a video, without her permission. And he made a few interesting points....   It's interesting to note that Bow Wow acknowledges that it IS NOT his video and it IS NOT his song.  If this is true, all he needed to do was respond to the lawsuit that was filed.   Porn star Celine Tran won a "default" judgement, which means Bow Wow never responded to the lawsuit.  Perhaps he and his lawyer should have worded his Facebook statement into a legal defense document and showed up at court.  Then he wouldn't owe $80K.  No matter how you twist it....he and his legal team/manager dropped the ball on this one.

Future Spills His Heart About Ciara -- "I Only Need 1 Woman, She Is So Professional & Intelligent...." Posted: 20 Mar 2013 09:49 AM PDT Future isn't afraid to express why Ciara was that "perfect" girl he's been looking for.  Check out the "Turn On The Lights" rapper gushing about being loyal to only one woman--Ciara--and why her next album is already classic in his eyes.... EPIC Records labelmates Ciara and Future have been dating a little while now.  And their relationship has spread inside the studio too, as Future wrote Ci's most recent single "Body Party." Ciara posted the above pic yesterday gushing about her boo saying, "Happiness. Love. Caring. Bomb. Inspiring. Everything. He Is...❤" And it was likely a Thank You for Future's very public display of love during his SXSW interview with Fader.  The 27-year-old rapper talked about loyalty to the magazine this past weekend after his show.  And he said, "I only need 1 woman." Maybe he's learned that accumulating several baby mamas is not hot.  He also dished on what it was like working with his 27-year-old girlfriend, Ciara, on her new album, One Woman Army: "It's great.  I just play the role of playing beside her and let her run it the way she run it.  She knows what she wants.  It's easy working with a superstar who's done it over and over several times making hits.  So outside our relationship, when we're in the studio, we just go freelancing and just let her do whatever she does as an artist.  I'm there to critique what she's got going on." And he continued dishing on his love for her:  "She's so professional and intelligent you wouldn't believe it.  Behind the scenes, her voice is so big and she's so empowering. That's why One Woman Army is going to be one of the greatest albums she releases. Because she took her time with it and overcame a lot." And like any supportive boyfriend, he's already given her upcoming album the CLASSIC stamp: "Through time, it's going to be one of those albums you look back on.
