Royce Reed: I QUIT "Basketball Wives"!

Royce Reed is officially done with the Miami "Basketball Wives."  Her ongoing beef with Evelyn, Jen, and the others is so last season.  And Royce apparently may not be down for another round.

After 3 seasons of "Basketball Wives," Royce took to her twitter yesterday to say she's decided not to return for a 4th.  She commented:

Good Afternoon! As of right now I have decided NOT 2return 4 Season 4 of BBW due 2 artistic differences.Things may change but as of now, NO!

I want to thank all my fans for your support.

She surprised her fans with the announcement...as well as VH1 themselves.  Can't say that I blame her for throwing deuces though. Now that means no Royce and no Meeka. Who's next on the chopping block?

Meanwhile, the former FAMU cheerleader returned back to campus last weekend for Homecoming with her son Braylon.  She hit the football field to cheer on the Rattlers with her fellow FAMU alumni.  And she posted these pics:

She even showed off her skills that she's still got.  Fun times!
 

FLOTUS Michelle Obama Talks Fitness And Shopping At Target + 10-Year-Old "Work Out Kid" Stealing Shine From Justin Bieber?

The FLOTUS Michelle Obama was featured on the "TODAY" show this morning speaking to Al Roker about her Let's Move campaign and her "secret" shopping trips to Target and Petco.  Get the deets inside and find out about the 10-year-old boy and his 8-pack that rivals Trey Songz...and the uproar he's causing (good and bad)....

 

First Lady Michelle Obama has had a very busy week. Yesterday, she led hundreds of local school children in doing one minute of jumping jacks on the South Lawn in hopes of breaking a world record for most people doing jumping jacks in a 24-hour period.

The verdict is still out on whether that happened or not, but Mrs. Obama did take time to talk to Al Roker about her Let's Move campaign and also to reveal that she makes secret shopping trips to local stores in the DC area. Yeah, we noticed.

With over 4,500 workout DVDs sold or donated, 10-year-old CJ Senter is taking the workout world by store and giving dudes like Usher and Trey Songz a run for their money in the body department. 

First......get a load of his 8-pack!

Although CJ isn't officially a part of the FLOTUS's Let's Move campaign, he's started his own movement with kids around the country and the word on the streets is that he's the Justin Beiber of fitness.  He has fans and a huge following!

And he's serious about weight-loss goals saying,

'You can go outside and have fun, but some kids, they'll just go outside for like 10 minutes and come back in. But if you just do a workout, your body will sweat more.

'Sweating, it lets, you know, you're losing weight. You're really working.'

 

But not everyone is co-signing this.  Some parents are up in arms saying this is a bad example to teach kids to be such workout fanatics.  And some doctors say it's unhealthy for a kid this young to be doing such strenuous activity.  Your thoughts?

With a cover shot that was meant to mimic The Breakfast Club movie, "BE" Magazine's 2011 Fall *Blue Collar Hollywood* issue celebrates artists who aren’t afraid to break a sweat and work for their dreams.

The inside article features features model Kai Morae (daughter of actress Lisa Raye McCoy), actor/rapper Quincy Brown (son of Al B. Quincy Brown on being known as Diddy’s son:

“I don't want to be labeled or have any handicaps for when I actually
achieve or earn something. It’s very easy for someone to say,"Oh, he got
that because he Diddy's son." My job is to make that HARD or IMPOSSIBLE for
anyone to say.”

Alfredo Flores on working with Justin Bieber:

“Justin is like my little brother. As he gets older, he has become one of
my best friends. At first, I was his big brother who talked to him about
girls and tried to show him the way. Now, that he is older, it’s like we can
talk about the same things and relate to each other in more ways than one.
He is a great kid, with a great heart and truly one of my best friends.”

Skye Townsend on when she realized her dad was a celebrity:

“I knew he was famous at a young age. I was always on set for "The
Parenthood" and realized he had to leave town a lot. However, I went to a
school where most kids lived like me with parents like mine so I assumed
everybody lived in such a way. I got a quick reality check on that though.”

Kai Morae on being independent:

“I’ve always been a very independent person. I could ask my mom (LisaRaye)
for stuff if I really wanted to but that’s not the kind of person I am. If I
want something I’ll work for it.”

H. Wood City on having a back-up plan:

“My mom would always tell me ‘Make sure you have a plan B just in case
acting & music doesn’t work out.’ As painful as it was to imagine all my
hard work and sacrifices being done in vain, I knew she was right.”

The issue goes on sale October 21st, 2011.

Chris Brown Drops $15K At The Strip Club With Bow Wow & Rocks BET Cypher+Lil Wayne Responds To Uncle Luke

Well at least they didn't drop even more 0's on the strippers.  Chris Brown and Bow Wow kept it to a minimum--relatively speaking--when they hit the strip club in Miami last night.  Pics and deets from their FAME Tour afterparty stop, plus what Weezy has to say to Uncle Luke who recently fired shots at him and other MIA rappers....

 

Breezy rolled into Miami last night for his FAME tour stop.  And of course, had his obligatroy strip club afterparty at King of Diamonds.  TMZ reports though that Chris and his homie Bow Wow tipped at least 3 of the strippers $5,000....each.  They also had singles all over the floor and bought their entourage a ridic amount of bottles.  Well that's better than Fabolous and co. dopping $30K.  Here's pics from the after party where Chris was given a 2-story Swarovski crystal FAME cake:

And in other Miami news, Lil Wayne has responded to Uncle Luke's threats about getting out of HIS city.  Days ago the "It's Ya Birthday" rapper took Wayne, Rick Ross, and other MIA rappers to task for what he calls just spending up money and ruining his city--instead of giving back to it.

"I'm giving them a deadline" Luke warned. "They got until January 1. If I don't see them giving back to the Magic City, I'm gonna have their Miami cards revoked. They won't be getting into any more nightclubs. They won't be able to go near our women. And Lil Wayne is gonna have to find floor seats for New Orleans Hornets home games because he won't be allowed inside the Triple A."

So Weezy responded via twitter with:

This Nigga Luke trippin!!! I ain't feelin khaled rite now neither

Kelly Rowland finally dropped her video for her single "Lay It On Me" featuring her homie Big Sean.  Peep the sexed up vid inside....

Ms. Rowland threw on her barely-there white one-piece and grinded with and got carried away by the buff shirtless fellas for her newest video.  It was directed by Sarah Chatfield and choreographed by Frank Gaston.  Kelly even whipped out an elephant for her goddess-inspired vid.

"Nasty" Nas is back with a new clip titled..."Nasty." Watch the video inside as well as the new video from Tyrese and Ludacris for "Too Easy."

In his Gold Watch-directed video, Nas takes it back to the streets of Queensbridge for his "Nasty" clip.

The sexy rapper walks through the projects, enters a few buildings and dons a headset while he rocks out on the mic in an apartment based studio.

Rihanna just dropped her brand new album covers for her upcoming (November 21st) LP Talk That Talk.  Peep it inside and decide if we love it....

Esquire's 2011 Sexiest Woman Alive is seen on the cover of her upcoming album rocking dark eye makeup while seductively licking red lips.  In a black, white, and cream camo top and blonde hair in a bun, she has the album title TALK THAT TALK written on her forearm.  And a new R logo in the top corner.

And her Deluxe Album cover shows a black and white image of an open-mouth long haired Rihanna blowing smoke.

Malcolm-Jamal Warner & Tracee Ellis Ross Host Kanye West And More At "Reed Between The Lines" Screening

BET is pulling out all the stops for its latest scripted comedy series "Reed Between The Lines" starring Malcolm-Jamal Warner and Tracee Ellis Ross.  See the duo along with the rest of the cast and Kanye West inside from last night's NYC screening....

Yesterday, the stars of "Reed Between The Lines" hosted a "meet and greet" at Foot Locker in Times Square, New York City.   

Tracee Ellis Ross, rocking a cute striped tee and pencil skirt look, was joined by Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Anna Maria Horsford and Melissa De Sousa.

 

Afterwards, TheYBF.com hit the scene with the cast at a VIP Screening at Bar Basque.

Tracee and Malcom discussed the first episode of "RBTL," which also will have an appearance from Robin Givens.  And the audience got to watch the first episode.

The show itself takes a bit of inspiration from Malcolm's claim to fame, "The Cosby Show."  The comedy is very light-hearted and positive.  But some viewers may think the writing, set aesthetics, and background may not be the best, even though the actors do a fabulous job in spite of the writing.   It will be interesting to see if a generation of viewers who have become accustomed to cat-fights and drink tosses will embrace it.

Tracee and her Louis Vuitton shoes had some fun with BET CEO Debra L. Lee.

Anna Maria changed outfits and got summery in a sleeveless tee and hot pink skirt.  Most folks will agree, she brings a lot of humor to the show.


 

Malcolm posed with cast member/on-screen daughter Zoe Hendrix.

Then Kanye showed up and posed with cast member Nadji Jeter and the rest of the cast.

RUMOR CONTROL: Fantasia CALLS INTO "Wendy" To Clear Up Rumors About The Mahalia Jackson Film And Antwaun Cook!?

A lot has been said about Fantasia lately. There are rumors that her baby daddy is still married (based on an open court case) and that her Mahalia Jackson bio pic is in jeopardy because of her lifestyle and pregnancy.

 

Find out what she told Wendy Williams this morning about her "situation" inside....

Earlier today, Fantasia called into Wendy Williams' daytime chat fest (pic above is from a different previous episode) to clear up recent rumors in the press.

First, she revealed that she's still on bed-rest and confirmed that she's due to give birth to a baby boy on December 29th.

Then she said she almost went into labor when she heard the shocking news that the "Mahalia" pic might not get made and it might somehow be her fault.

As far as the movie goes, Fanny said she was told in January that several investors had backed out and the producers were trying to get the financing together. She also added that no contracts were signed and that a date for production was never set.  Interesting.

So where does the movie stand? Fanny said she hasn't heard from producers....she learned about its status through the press.

But what we REALLY want to know is about her pregnancy. When Wendy asked if she was still with Antwaun Cook (and if he was still married), she went silent on the phone. But she told Wendy she would come by to discuss the situation after she gave birth.

Sigh.....ok Fantasia.  Good luck with this bedrest though.  That can't be fun at all.

The Cosbys With A 2011 Twist? Meet The Cast of BET's "Reed Between The Lines"!

Ahead of tonight's BET premiere of "Reed Between The Lines," meet the cast who are bringing back the "Cosby" feel we all loved.  TV vets Tracee Ellis Ross & Malcolm Jamal Warner head up the fab cast of characters in the new family sitcom.  Check out a clip from the show and who's who inside....

 

"Reed Between The Lines" is about a modern, blended family negotiating parenting, love, and careers.  Balancing kids, careers and co-workers is a crazy thing...but they always make room for love.

Tracee and Malcolm-Jamal play "Dr. Carla" and "Dr. Alex Reed," a psychologist and an online English professor respectively.  And The Reeds are the loving parents of three dynamic children: teenage twins "Keenan" and "Kaci"(Naji Jeter & Zoe Soul) from Carla’s first marriage, and 7 year-old Alexis (Zoe Hendrix).  Alex and Carla are crazy about each other, and enjoy a fun, sexy marriage.

Melissa De Sousa and Anna Maria Horsford round out the cast as Carla’s co-workers.

Carla's M.O.: She's a work-a-holic mother with impeccable style. And her shoe game is HOT.  ("Joan," anyone?)

Alex's M.O.:  He works from home and home schools Alexis to support his wife as she expands her practice.

The Kids' M.O.: Alexis is unquestionably Daddy’s Girl. She’s even named after him!  And the teenage twins, of course, bring the drama.

Now how will this couple successfully make their blended family work in this modern age?

Back-to-back episodes of "Reed Between The Lines" premiere tonight at 10p after the BET Hip Hop Awards and the show airs weekly every Tuesday at 10/9p CT.  Check out a sneak peek clip before tonight!
