LEMON-CHELLA: Solange Knowles Goes Citrus Crazy At Coachella, Rocks Out With The XX Posted: 15 Apr 2013 08:38 AM PDT Solange was in a citrus-y mood for Day 3 of Coachella on Sunday afternoon.  Check out the sunny Knowles sis out in Cali, plus her rocking out with the British band the XX last night... In a lemon-covered Alice + Olivia Candice A-Line dress, Solange made a fun statement as she hit up Coachella again on Sunday. Chick knows how to pull off crazy prints.  Love the spring-fresh look. By the way, she made her way to Coachella on Saturday as well, and hit the stage with the XX to rock out with the British band.  She performed her “Locked in Closets” track off her True EP.  And after dancing around on stage,  she did a duet with frontman Oliver with Aaliyah’s “Hot Like Fire.” Check it below:    BONUS: H-Town ladies Solange, her sis Beyonce and mom Tina and girls Kelly & Michelle have all teamed up to fight hunger in their hometown with the Miss A Meal campaign:   The ladies have all joined forces with Bread of Life, Inc. the Houston-based non-profit organization founded by Rudy and Juanita Rasmus, to fight for the needs of the less fortunate with a fundraising campaign they call Miss A Meal. OH?! Fonzworth Bentley & WIFE Fuane Chambers Are PREGNANT.... Posted: 15 Apr 2013 08:02 AM PDT Did you know Fonzworth Bentley -- Diddy's former umbrella holder turned G.O.O.D. Music artist -- is now married with a baby on the way?  Yeah, we didn't either.  Until today.   Check out Fonzworth & his wife Fuane Chambers showing off the baby bump while on a dinner date last night... Mr. Bentley took his Fonzworth Bently took his wife, Fuane, to dinner at Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills last night.  And it was that burgeoning baby bump in that fitted striped dress of Fuane's that caught our eye.  Get your baby umbrellas ready because Fonzworth & his lady are expecting a little one! The twosome got hitched last year and wasted no time making their twosome a trio.  And last we've heard, Mr. Bentley was still on G.O.O.D. music and released his album C.O.L.O.R.S on iTunes.  No telling what's transpired since then, but we wouldn't be surprised if everything has changed. LADIES WHO LUNCH: Kelly Rowland & Michelle Williams Hit An Afternoon Party At Bagatelle In L.A. Posted: 15 Apr 2013 07:19 AM PDT Destiny's children Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams were spotted hitting up an afternoon party at Bagatelle Restaurant in Los Angeles on Sunday.  Check out the fab ladies inside... While their sis Beyonce is in Serbia kicking off her Mrs. Carter World Tour today,  Kelly & Michelle were all about lunching it up in L.A. this weekend.  Kelly, in her bright yellow sweater and perfect jeans and cream pumps, was spotted making her way out the restaurant with Michelle and a friend.   Kelly was sweet enough to say wassup to the paparazzi before driving away.  And by the way, according to her press release, Miss Kelly will have a song on her upcoming Talk A Good Game album (June 4) that features Bey & Michelle.  She told Billboard, "It’s not a Destiny’s Child track, it’s me featuring Beyoncé and Michelle."  And she describes the sound as "soullllll". Big Sean Opens Up About Girlfriend Naya Rivera, Explains Why He Broke Up With His High School Sweetheart Posted: 15 Apr 2013 06:52 AM PDT Rapper Big Sean is opening up for the first time about his new girlfriend, "Glee" star Naya Rivera. Find out what he had to say about their "cool" new relationship, and why he broke up with his high school sweetheart... "A$$" rapper Big Sean chopped it up with WKYS' The Urban Informer about his crazy rise in music and all his career goals.  The G.O.O.D. music artist had our ear, though, about why he's suddenly popping up everywhere boo'd up with a TV star.  And yes, he confirms he and Naya Rivera have been dating for a while now. As for the couple's pics together popping up everywhere online, he claimed, "I had no idea it would be like that." Yeah right, Sean.  He said he usually takes his mom to events, so people weren't expecting to see him and Naya together. But we're sure he expected some buzz from their appearances as the two have decided to play the celeb dating game that he knows damn well garners publicity.  Let's keep it real. On new girlfriend Naya: Naya, I been dating her for a little while, and I guess that event (the 42 premiere) was one of the first big events that came up while I was dating her.  We were like, 'Yo let's go to it' because we both wanted to go.  I'm kinda a private person and she's a private person.    On breaking up with his high school sweetheart Ashley (pictured above): I had a girlfriend too before that who I was with since I was like.... I always been in a relationship since I was 18 or 19 when I got with her.  Things didn't work out and not because of this music stuff.  But sometimes when you're with somebody and you're 18 and you grow up...and it's long distance because she lived in New York and I lived in L.A.....you grow apart as people.  It's nothing more and nothing less.  It's not like I've changed.  It's not like that at all. We just really had our differences and it just clearly didn't work out.  It may work out later, it may come back too.  Who knows. But as far as Naya, it's something new.  Naya's really cool.  Our relationship is cool.  She's tight. Hit the 6:45 mark to hear him talk about his girlfriend Naya and breaking up with his ex. Posted: 15 Apr 2013 06:15 AM PDT Amid controversy about supposedly lightening her skin, "Cocoa Butter" singer India Arie hit the stage for the first time in four years yesterday. See pics inside.... Yesterday, "Brown Skin" singer India Aria hit the stage at the Arizona Jazz Festival at the Wigwam Resort in Litchfield, AZ.   It was India's first stage performance in four years and was under the spotlight as fans were interested in seeing if the singer's skin tone matched her "tone." She made light of the recent skin lightening controversy with a performance of her latest single "Cocoa Butter" where she told the audience that the song would explain everything best.  She then laughed off rumors that she intentionally lightened her skin for the single cover like everyone thought. 2013 MTV MOVIE AWARDS: Kerry Washington, Jamie Foxx & Corinne, Snoop & More Hit The Red Carpet Posted: 14 Apr 2013 10:54 PM PDT A few YBFers made their way to the red carpet Sunday night for the 2013 MTV Movie Awards at the Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, CA.  Check out Kerry Washington, dual winner Jamie Foxx, Zoe Saldana and more inside...   Django Unchained star Kerry Washington made a bold statement on the red carpet with a long sleeved black dress with a yellow skirt and train from the Michael Kors Fall 2013 RTW collection.  The fashionable "Scandal" actress made the look effortless as she hit the carpet solo, as well as with her co-star Jamie Foxx. And speaking of Jamie: The actor, rocking a Trayvon Martin tee, brought his gorge 19-year-old daughter Corinne on the carpet as his date for the evening.  We're sure the two celebrated hard as Jamie was awarded the MTV Generation Award (an award given to an artist "who has shown a variety of impressive roles, a personal and professional flair and of course, an awesome level of talent").  And he also copped the "Best WTF Moment" award with Samuel L. Jackson for their scenes in Django Unchained. Zoe Saldana also donned a long sleeved black top, and paired it with a stand-out bottom half.  The Givenchy Autumn/Winter 2013 floral lace & sheer polka dotted long skirt was topped off with a pair of Jimmy Choo Kalpa sandals.  Chick is looking like she's either dieting extra hard...still... or she's still stressed about her break up with The Words co-star Bradley Cooper, who was also there and copped an award.   Scary Movie 5 star Snoop Dogg hit the carpet in his Cali plaid shirt and pants, paird with a pimpalicious red fur jacket.  And can't forget the pimp curls. Cutie Quvenzhané Wallis, who's starring in the upcoming Annie remake, kept it young with a lavender jacket & a multi colored hi-lo dress with matching sneakers.  How adorable is she!   "Access Hollywood" correspondent Shaun Robinson dazzled it up in her black, nude & white sparkling dress.  She looks great. COACHELLA CHICKS: Solange, Eve, Kelly Rowland, Rita Ora & More BRIGHTEN UP Cali Posted: 14 Apr 2013 01:59 PM PDT Solange Knowles, her "sis" Kelly Rowland, Eve and more made their way out to Day 2 of Coachella yesterday.  And we're got their fun pics inside...   Solo kept it fresh in pink florals while making her way out to the fields for Coachella yesterday: The vintage loving singer was there, alongside Coachella performer Earl Sweatshirt of Odd Future, to listen to some great indie bands and looked cute and spring ready.  And we're loving her clear orange CC Skye Bright Love Lucite clutch.  Loves the look.   Her girl Kelly Rowland hit the fields with Adrienne Bailon: Didnt know these two were friends... Kelly rocked some camo shorts and boots while Adrienne went the cropped tee and skirt route with sneakers. Rita Ora spent day and night at Coachella yesterday.  She hit the LACOSTE L!VE Desert Pool Party:   In a neon "Adults Suck" tee and a 50's style pink skirt and sneakers. And was also spotted getting carried around by her guy friends...possibly drunk, possibly just having fun. Chanel Iman was out in the mix in short shorts, a sexy cut out top and barely there sexy sandals that probably made walking around the grass impossible.  But she's a model, so she's a pro at walking anywhere: And Eve rocked out on stage at the NYLON x BOSS ORANGE Escape House at Lake La Quinta In.  In La Quinta, CA.  Who knew there was such a place:     Totally adore this look.  Fresh, young and fun.   Oh ok.   And elsewhere at Coachella, Russell Simmons was making his rounds trying to find his next prey: Y'all already know.   Photos: Fame/Splash/Getty

HOMERUN! "42" Nabs #1 Spot At The Box Office Posted: 14 Apr 2013 11:07 AM PDT The story told about Jackie Robinson's legendary career, 42, made a surprising debut at the box office this weekend.  Check out how the flick slid into #1 inside... Brooklyn's going hard at the box office this weekend.  YBF stars Chadwick Boseman (Jackie Robinson) & Nicole Beharie (Rachel Robinson) have landed the 42 film at #1 at the box office with $27 mill cumulative. Deadline reports that a Warner Bros. exec told them: “While we do not poll race breakdown, I can tell you we performed extremely well in all the large urban markets. But the highest grossing theaters were the country’s most commercial screens.” Well, looks like people were ready to see a positive and inspiring story with a black man in a lead role afterall.  It's been argued, though, that the film focuses more on Branch Rickey (played by Harrison Ford), the MLB exec credited with breaking the color barriers in the league with him signing Jackie Robinson to the then Brooklyn Dodgers. Meanwhile, Scary Movie 5 flopped at #2 far behind with $14.6 mill.  It was in over 300 more theaters than 42.  Bow Wow, Mike Tyson, Lindsay Lohan, and Charlie Sheen all starred.  But clearly it wasn't enough.  By the way, YBF chick Regina Hall, who starred in the first 4 installments, didn't appear in this one.  Neither did the usual lead Anna Faris.   BONUS: After seeing Chadwick Boseman on "The View" this past Friday, we've got a new crush.  The BK cutie, who was born in Charlotte, is well spoken, majorly sexy and determined to make a serious splash in this industry.  Not mad at all.  Check out his interview with the ladies below: Congrats!

ARRESTED! Kevin Hart Popped For DUI! Posted: 14 Apr 2013 10:11 AM PDT Kevin Hart is in deep doo-doo.  The comedian & actor isn't laughing today as he was popped for suspicion of DUI early this morning in Cali.  Deets inside... "Real Husbands of Hollywood" star Kevin Hart decided to get behind the wheel in the wee hours of the morning, despite the fact Highway Patrol officers say he was objectively intoxicated. TMZ reports that 32-year-old Kevin was arrested roughly 4 hours ago--at 6am PST--after he damn near slammed his Mercedes into a gas tanker truck!  According to the California Highway Patrol, officers spotted the comedian driving in a black Mercedes on the 101 Freeway at around 4:30 AM PT. The CHP says he was "driving erratic," "going 90 MPH" and "almost collided with a gas tanker truck." The CHP says when they pulled Hart over, he showed "objective signs of intoxication" and was "unable to perform field sobriety tests." He's still being held on a $6,000 bond.  Tisk tisk Kev.  Your career is getting far too big & respectable for this type of foolishness...   *UPDATE* Kevin tweeted his side of the story, which was him admitting to being drink and making a complete joke out of it: I'm officially a thug, I spent 6hrs in jail last night...I got pulled over 3blocks from my house by a dick head cop....This cop was the worst, he knew who I was & wanted to make a example out of me....I did 6,000 push ups & 13,000 sit ups while I was in the pin....shout out to my celly "Mark" we exchanged war stories LMFAO When the cop asked me to take the sobriety test I said "WHY WASTE OUR TIME...I'M DRUNK MAN" ..... #TrueStory Apparently driving drunk is a laughing matter.   Photo: Kevin's Instagram
