Remember Pam From TOTAL? She's Now MARRIED To "Unofficial" Pretty Ricky Member J.Long Posted: 10 Oct 2013 09:24 AM PDT Now that Kima and Keisha are married and have gone on about their lives, the third member of Total also just got married.  Check out Pamela Long's love story inside... Cue up "Trippin' because one of our fave girl groups has some news.  At least 1/3 of the group does. Pamela Long is now married to the love of her life, singer J.Long.  Both are now Christian artists, and they even have a song together called "Sweet Thang". Pam's been posting all kinds of lovey dovey pics with her man, and the one above showed off her engagement ring and her social media followers figured out she was engaged. But for the last week, she's been offering up "Thank You's" to those people telling her congratulations on her MARRIAGE.  And she put in her bip she is now a wife. So it looks like things are official. And the two coincidentally already had the same last names. As for her new husband J.Long.... He was a solo artist on Bluestar's roster but also an unofficial member of Pretty Ricky. Since getting Baptized and becoming a Christian artist recently, he now has a song with Pretty Ricky member Slick'Em called "Anything." J.Long calls her his wife on many of his posts, and also called himself a Husband on his Twitter bio.   Pam posted a pic of them at the recent Houston Rockets game saying: This is the Love Of My Life! Thank you Jesus 4 Loving Me So Much That You Would Send Me a king Who Follows After You w/all of his Heart! We are and will never be perfect but we follow the One that is: And that's You Jesus! The King of kings and Lord of lords! Hallelujah! Rough Day At "The Office": Actor Craig Robinson BUSTED For Drug Possession In The Bahamas Posted: 10 Oct 2013 08:13 AM PDT Actor Craig Robinson was busted for taking his "party" on the road...and by party, we mean 18 pills of "Ecstasy"! Get the deets on his drug bust in the Bahamas inside....   Craig Robinson is known for playing straight-laced characters on "The Office" and funny guys in movies with Kerry Washington like The Peeples, but the actor seems to have a wild side in his personal life.   The Hot Tub Machine actor was busted in the Nassau, Bahamas yesterday after he attempted to board a flight with half gram of marijuana and 18 ecstasy pills.  Supt. Stephen Dean of the Royal Bahamas Police Force said, "It was nothing major."  But he was taken into custody and appeared before a magistrate, where he pleaded guilty to two counts of drug possession. Prosecutor Ercel Dorsett told the court that Craig brought the drugs from the United States and did not know they were illegal in the Bahamas. Umm.....did he know they were illegal in the US when he bought them? We will give the brother a pass on the Mary Jane (he may have a medical card), but carrying around 18 "E" pills will probably get you busted in most places. Magistrate Andrew Forbes ordered Craig to pay a $1,000 fine and be removed from the country. He got off easy because he could have faced four years in prison! DIDDY ON TOP: Cassie Gives Diddy A Foot Massage, Lets Him Fall Asleep ON TOP Posted: 10 Oct 2013 07:00 AM PDT "Numb" singer Cassie rubbed all the pain out of the feet of her mogul boyfriend Diddy on Instagram.  See intimate pics of the couple in their bedroom inside.... When your man runs a international empire, it's only natural that you may have to spend some of your intimate moments helping ease his tension.  Over on Instagram, singer Cassie showed how she caters to her man with a good foot massage.  Diddy tweeted one of their intimate moments saying "@casandrae was talkin shit on IG earlier! But now dis is later . My Baby and she gives mean foot massage . Lol" Well isn't that special.... The couple posted another intimate moment of themselves in bed sleeping.  Cassie said, "@iamdiddy can be pretty heavy sometimes...his picture is cute to me because I normally sleep on top of him..He really fell asleep like this". Rihanna just landed two AMA nods this morning.  And she's got stiff competition.  For the Fave Female Pop Artist category, Ri's up against Pink and country darling Taylor Swift.  And for Artist of the Year, she's up against Taylor again, Justin Timberlake, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Bruno Mars. Justin T. also landed 2 nods.  One is in the Favorite Male R&B/Soul category where he's up against Miguel & Robin Thicke.  And Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines", obviously, was nominated for Single of the Year. SPEAK ON IT: Kanye & Kimmel Face Off On "Late Night With Jimmy Kimmel" (Full Video) Posted: 09 Oct 2013 10:37 PM PDT Kanye & Kimmel faced off tonight on "Jimmy Kimmel Live."  And once the talk show host and rapper/fashion extraordinaire got to the bottom of their "beef", Kanye spoke on MANY-a-things that have been bothering him.   Check it inside.... Kanye West & Jimmy Kimmel swept away their drama Wednesday night that all started over one of Jimmy's spoof skits.  Jimmy explained where he was coming from with the skit as a comedian.  And he told Kanye he's always defended him to others saying he's not an asshole because he knew him on a more personal level--like how he flew out to a family friend's wedding.  But Jimmy also explained to Kanye how he believes 'Ye brings much of his drama lately on himself.   Kanye responded about where he was coming from with the Twitter attack.  He said he may have taken out his anger about all the sh*t talking tabloid writers and paparazzi he doesn't know, and put it on Jimmy in that moment. 'Ye also spoke at length about EVERYTHING bothering him lately.  At times he seemed to contradict himself.  For instance, he said he wants everyone in the world to respect him as a genius and recognize & respect & put him on a pedestal for everything he's done for music, fashion and so on.  But at the same time, he gets angry about being on that very pedestal, as it inevitably comes with criticism.  He also expressed valid issues of classism.  But some may ask if those issues he specifically brought up about--like his girl Kim K. not being allowed a star on the Walk of Fame and certain top fashion people not wanting anything to do with them-- are due to classism....or is it simply entitlement?  Especially when just like Kanye wants to be able to express his own standards, others can express their standards too, whether Kanye (or Kim) fits them or not.   Check out the sit down in full below:     Kim and baby North were there to support. TALKING IT OUT?! Khloe Kardashian & Lamar Odom Spotted Together For The FIRST Time Since Drug Allegations Surfaced... Posted: 09 Oct 2013 03:19 PM PDT Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian were spotted together for the first time since allegations of drug use were reported.  See the pic inside and find out where they went.   Headline-grabbing couple Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom were spotted together in Calabasas, California yesterday.  It was the first time we've seen the couple together since allegations of Lamar's drug use became front page news.  And how convenient the two reunite just one day after Kris Jenner & Bruce Jenner announce their separation.  The twosome possibly spent a lot of time talking about their marriage and about where Lamar has been all summer, but there's other trouble in the Kardashian camp.  Now that Khloe's mom Kris Jenner has separated from her husband Bruce, we suspect the family got together for a family/business meeting to plan next steps. BACK AT IT??!! Chad Johnson Still Pining For Evelyn? [UPDATE] + Torrei Hart CONFIRMS "Atlanta Exes" CAST Includes Tameka Raymond?! Posted: 09 Oct 2013 02:32 PM PDT Chad Ochocinco Johnson has been getting flirty with ex-wife Evelyn Lozada (and he wants the whole world to know).  See what he posted on Twitter and find out which famous "ex" wives will join Torrei Hart on "Atlanta Exes".   Fans of new CBS sports analyst Chad Ochocinco and "BBW" star Evelyn Lozada will recall that the ex-couple famously "met" on Twitter a few years ago and got very flirty with each other.  Well....we can't confirm that the two are back together, but we can confirm that Chad is "flirting" again.  He posted a pic of himself yesterday kissing her through the tv set, saying, "I caught bae by surprise... " Then, Evelyn sub-tweeted....   SMH...these two.   *UPDATE* Evelyn tells TheYBF.com she tweeted about loving surprises BEFORE Chad tweeted his flirtatious message.  We're told Evelyn has moved on with her life and she wishes that Chad Johnson would move on with his and leave her alone....         And on television..... Funnylady Torrei Hart revealed to HipHollywood that she'll be headed to the small screen on the new reality tv series "Atlanta Exes." While on the red carpet for ASCAP’s 5th Annual “Women Behind the Music Series,” she dishes on why she chose to do the show and revealed who her high profile castmates will be. “I just feel like it’s a way to see who I am. In the past I’ve been put out in the press, people have this assumption about me, and it’s a way for people to really get to see who I am. I want to do the show. I think it’s a great opportunity. It’s a great platform, and I’m excited about it.” So who'll be joining her on the show? Torrei said Usher's ex, Tameka Raymond, Cee Lo’s ex-wife Christina Johnson, and Idris Elba’s ex-wife Kim Alba will also be joining the show. “And the women that are on the cast, I really love the women. I think we can empower women, and they can see that reality TV can be positive, it’s not just fighting and negativity" When asked what Kevin said about the show, she said, “I did talk to my ex about it and at first he just wanted to know why I wanted to do it, and I just told him I think it’s something I need to do for me. Miley Cyrus & Mike WILL Made It Hang Out At Miley's BANGERZ Release Party Posted: 09 Oct 2013 01:45 PM PDT Rumored new boos Mike WILL Made It & Miley Cyrus hung out last night at the singer's Bangerz album release party in NYC.  Check out the pic inside, and see how the producer is benefiting from his new "relationship" with the most controversial chick of 2013.... While also partying it up alongside rapper Future, Mike WILL Made It was front and center with client and supposed booty buddy Miley Cyrus at her album release party at The General. And while Mike produced over half the tracks on her new album, it seems he's getting much more out of their "relationship" than money for his beats. Mike has produced for Jay-Z, Kanye, Ciara, Kelly Rowland, and plenty others in the last couple years.  But as soon as he linked up with ratchet wannabe Miley, his popularity reached a new level.  Dude is now getting mobbed by fans in Times Square:   The two avoid questions about whether they are dating, but Mike didn't post nearly as many "admiration" style IG pics of any of his other clients as he does with Miley.  He even posted a pic of himself watching her MTV documentary.   And he damn sure didn't spend this much time with them out in public. And since her ex fiancee Liam Hemsworth has more than moved on with gorgeous model/actress/singer Eiza Gonzalez, Miley could be on her rebound tip with the "23" maker. FAB CHICK ALERT: Meet Misty Copeland, The Black Ballerina Takes Italian Vogue Posted: 09 Oct 2013 11:58 AM PDT We love a fresh face in a fresh sector of art/entertainment.  And it's our job to shed some light on YBF folks doing big things.   Ballet dancer Misty Copeland is a fab chick and you should definitely take notice.  As the muse of Prince and a soloist with the prestigious American Ballet Theatre, her groundbreaking success in the cutthroat world of ballet is a story of resilience and determination. Meet Misty inside and check out he new feature for Italian Vogue... Misty Copeland, who rose to national recognition when she became a soloist with the American Ballet Theatre in 2007, is a trailblazer in the world of professional ballet.  This YBF chick was discovered on a basketball court at the age 13 and first landed a coveted position with the ABT at the age of 17 (a massive accomplishment for a dancer who began training at such a late stage in life).   Those legs! Though she does not fit the usual pedigree of a ballerina (where race, body structure and socioeconomic status a huge players), Misty has paved a road and knocked down many doors for Black professional dancers.  And who doesn't love watching gorgeous (black) women in tutus, pointe shoes & dancer bodies?! Misty now has a book coming out in March 2014 called LIFE IN MOTION: An Unlikely Ballerina; and FIREBIRD, a picture book in collaboration with award winning author/illustrator Christopher Myers hits the shelves in the fall of 2014.  Also, she's currently working on a documentary called A BALLERINA’S TALE directed by Nelson George. In the meantime, fab chick Misty talked to Italian VOGUE about becoming a muse to Prince, the challenges she's faced as a black woman in the world of ballet and how she's managed to carve out a place for herself in a world that was not very inviting. Here are the highlights:  I think growing up lacking financial resources can have two different outcomes. For some children, it forces them to dream of something more, and in some cases, poverty can suffocate a child’s freedom to dream. Were you a dreamer? I think as a child there weren’t dreams. I can’t recall as a child having some ultimate dream and thinking that it was possible. And when I started taking ballet classes, I don’t think I really understood what I was committing to because I loved it, and I had never found anything that I loved doing, so I just said “yes.” I didn’t want to stop. It was an escape from my every day life, and struggling with my mother financially. And then once I started ballet and I saw my first performance with American Ballet Theatre (ABT), that was when I started to dream. I think those were the first times I really started to envision a different life. During your training, did anyone ever explain to you how rare it was for a black ballerina to gain entrance into any of the major ballet companies? I think that in a lot of ways, I’m happy that my race was not something that was discussed (during my training). It wasn’t an issue that was presented to me at that time. Of course, I was aware that I was black. My mother was very clear about telling all of my siblings who we were. Even though I was of mixed raced, my mother was clear about it…telling me I was black, and that I was going to be seen as black. So that is just how I knew of myself. But it wasn’t something that I thought about when I started dancing. I didn’t see myself any different than all the other girls. And I think that helped me in the beginning. At what point did you realize how few black ballerinas there were in the world of classical ballet? By the time I got to ABT, I was not at all prepared to deal with what I walked into. I just had no history of the ballet and black women in it. I had no idea that I was going to walk into ABT and be the only black woman there, and for the next eleven years still be the only black woman there. And so I just wasn’t prepared. I think over time, maturing and growing, and understanding how the ballet culture and the history of it works, it’s become easier on a daily basis. But it is hard. You said in an interview that there were many people that helped you to reclaim your confidence, including Prince, who told you that “belonged in a tutu.” I think that it was timing. There were so many people that had come into my life at a very critical time. It was right before my promotion to soloist. I was surrounded by people that I really looked up to. Powerful people that had a strong voice, and powerful words that I was hearing for the first time. Like really hearing and taking them in. And it was nice to feel like I had this support around me. They were people that looked like me…that were successful and powerful. And that was really comforting to experience. It comes around in so many aspects of my life…people’s words and how powerful they are. Susan Jaffe who was a principal at ABT she said a lot of powerful things to me and that was one of them…like learning to sift through what people say. She said, “be careful because people’s words will start to define you and they may not be the right words that you should be possessing.” Read the full interview here. Misty will narrate the film, bringing us intimately into her world.
