Adrienne Bailon Goes Topless For ROLLING OUT, Talks Love Life & FINALLY Playing Her Age + Rihanna Covers "032c", READIES "Monster" Single With Eminem

Former 3LW & Cheetah Girls singer Adrienne Bailon opened up to Rolling Out about getting into more adult roles in Hollywood, her famous ex-boyfriend and her current man.  See what she said inside and check out Rihanna's latest magazine cover.

 photo abro4.jpg

Actress and reality star Adrienne Bailon, who entered the industry as 3LW's lead singer, opened up to ROLLING OUT about her starring role in I’m in Love with a Church Girl amongst other things.  And on a sidenote, we're loving this blonde bob'd shag she's been rocking lately.  Works for her.

Here are the highlights:

On leaving the Disney family:

“I was a 26-year-old and still playing a 15-year-old. I think The Cheetah Girls was originally supposed to be one film, but then it became two and three, which was a huge deal. But like all Disney franchises, they have to come to an end at some point. I was so grateful we went out with a bang. I think we died off peacefully.”

On I'm In Love With A Church Girl :

“The film is actually based on the true-life story of the project’s writer, Galley Molina. I think the biggest message in this movie is that your past does not determine your future. I think it has such a great message of hope, especially for people right now who feel hopeless — that feel they have done so much wrong. God wants you to come as you are. He can turn your life around.”

 photo abro1.jpg

On making new music and doing a solo album:

"It’s so crazy, timing for me is everything. I think that everything seems to be working right on time. People have been asking about my solo album for such a long time. When I originally came from Cheetah Girls, I was making music that was real to me but not believable. I think there was a disconnect there. I am a grown woman and I’ve been through a lot. The most important thing about my music is that we don’t jump the gun and throw anything out there. I want to make sure that it’s going to actually connect with my audience."

Advice to men on the first date:

"The best thing a man can do on a first date is be a friend. I think that’s the biggest mistake men make on the first date. Just get to know me. Be my friend. Just kick it with me as if I was hanging with a homeboy. It shouldn’t be this awkward situation. It should be that we’re there, having a great time. But the worst thing a man can do on a first date is act like he’s your boyfriend. I think attempting to hold hands is completely ridiculous. A lot of PDA, that’s awkward and uncomfortable. I think be cool, be chill and you’ll be successful."

 photo abro2.jpg

On dating Rob Kardashian and keeping her love life private:

I think the most important thing that I’ve learned is that you live and you learn. Try not to make the same mistakes twice. This time around for me, I think it’s just something you have to keep sacred. You have to keep to yourself and keep things private. Control it as much as you can.”

Rihanna is rocking GUCCI on the cover of 032c's "Issue 25 Winter 2013/2014: Picasso", a Berlin-based fashion magazine.

She tweeted, "Thank you @032C for the creative freedom you let me have in this shoot!!! Congrats to @melzy917 on a bad na$ty issue!!!"

The edgy fashionista kept it slightly goth for the cover...with a little peek-a-boob action.

Outside of photoshoots, Rihanna will be hitting the radio airwaves on Eminem's next radio single "Monster" ( slated to drop on Monday, October 28).

FOR RICHER OR RICHER: Kanye & Kim Hit The Dream For Future Africa Gala, Reportedly WILL SIGN A Pre-Nup

Posted: 25 Oct 2013 06:31 AM PDT

 photo couplekk2.jpg

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have reportedly decided to sign a pre-nup to protect their business interests.  Both are multi-millionaires, so it's no surprise there.  Get the deets inside....

 photo couplekk3.jpg

Newly engaged couple Kanye and Kim attended the Dream for Future Africa Foundation Gala at Spago in Beverly Hills last night.  After Kim, who rocked Nina Ricci's Fall 2013 White Crop Top and Gathered Asymmetric Pencil Skirt, flashed her ring on the red carpet, the twosome were spotted leaving out hand in hand.

But before they walk down the aisle (in front of millions of TV viewers we're sure), their respective legal teams have reportedly decided that it's best  the millionaire couple protects their assets.

According to TMZ, circulating reports estimate Kim K.'s worth to be around $40M, while Kanye is allegedly worth about $90M.  But they also say Kim actually may be worth more than Kanye, despite the alleged reports (you know THEY would know).

Apparently, sources close to Kim say that her lawyer father, the late Robert Kardashian, instilled in her the importance of having clear contracts when it comes to money.

 photo couplekk1.jpg

In addition to pre-nups, a source close to Kanye said the rapper is taking a very "hands-on" approach to the wedding and has already begun writing his vows.

“This is very special to him and he wants to make sure everything goes down the way he wants it. He’s already been writing his vows, too — that’s how seriously he’s taking it.

It’s not going to be anything corny. It’s going to come straight from his heart and it’s going to be real. It’s going to rhyme, know that.

He’s doing everything, from the music, to how many guests, to the cake — the whole shebang."

People surely know a whole lot about what's going on with such a "private" twosome...and just a couple days after the proposal.

We're sure more details will leak daily.  Stay tuned....

In the fabulous series of pics, captured by Willy Vanderperre and styled by Edward Enninful, Naomi models a collection of garments that's giving us Jackie O. and FLOTUS Michelle Obama steez.  And we love it.

If you've ever wondered how Naomi maintains that "glow", Styled To Rock star Pharrell says she gave him this advice

"Listen, this is what you have to do—you have to go to a dermatologist; you can’t keep using drugstore products.’ Well, you can, but with the store products you have to be really diligent. At the end of the day, you just have to take care of your face. I’m being honest with you. And, no, I don’t wear fragrance.”

Stylist Edward Enninful described the shoot saying, "It's a tribute to a modern day First Lady on a state trip, evoking the kind of timeless style that could have existed in the 1940's, 60's, or even today."

SPEAK ON IT: Should Jay Z DROP Partnership After Second Shopper Accuses Barneys Of RACIAL PROFILING?

Posted: 24 Oct 2013 02:23 PM PDT

 photo jay-z-barneys02.jpg

Now that a second accuser has claimed racial profiling is happening at Barneys in NYC, a petition is circulating and it's asking Jay Z to end his history-making holiday partnership with the iconic department store.  Speak on it inside.....

Famed luxury retailer Barneys, who has partnered with rapper Jay Z for a highly visible Christmas promotion called “A New York Holiday,” has sparked total outrage now that a second African American shopper this week has accused them of racial profiling.

 photo cover1023-01_zpse88c1894.jpg

The store made headlines this week after a black 19-year-old student and shopper named Trayon Christian, who purchased a $350 Salvatore Ferragamo belt, dealt with an unfortunate situation.  He claims he was cuffed and hauled in for questioning after cops asked him questions like, "How does a young black man such as yourself afford to purchase such an expensive belt?”

The situation happened AFTER Trayon showed his state ID to prove his identity, AFTER the bank was called to verify his bank card (and it was indeed confirmed as his), and AFTER Trayon left the store.  He says he was tracked down by "undercover cops" outside.

Trayon returned the belt days later after being upset about the entire situation because, as he says, he did not want to be a patron of the store in any way.  He is now suing Barneys & the NYPD (and we co-sign).

Shortly after that story went viral yesterday, a black 21-year-old named Kayla Phillips revealed today that she was stopped and interrogated by plain clothec officers after purchasing a $2,500 Céline bag from Barneys in February.  Reportedly, she was chased down after leaving the store and entering the train station.

Fearing backlash, Barneys quickly issued a half-hearted statement on their Facebook page yesterday saying:

“Barneys New York typically does not comment on pending litigation. In this instance, we feel compelled to note that after carefully reviewing the incident of last April, it is clear that no employee of Barneys New York was involved in the pursuit of any action with the individual other than the sale. Barneys New York has zero tolerance for any form of discrimination and we stand by our long history in support of all human rights.”

Thanks to this non-apology, the store has been getting backlash on social media.  And there's even a petition circulating that asks Jay Z to end his partnership with Barneys.  It reads, in part:

Recently, we have learned the shocking news that a young college student Trayon Christian (a black male) was arrested in NYC after making a $350 purchase at Barneys New York. According to The Post, following his purchase, he was stopped by police officers, allegedly called by a Barneys sales clerk, who believed the transaction was fraudulent. After hours being held in a precinct cell, Trayon was released with no charges.

Just days later, Kayla Phillips, a 21-year-old black woman, came forward with her similar story of discrimination. Kayla says that she was surrounded by police and questioned after she purchased a handbag from the store. She was also incorrectly accused of using a fraudulent card.

We can no longer tolerate blatant prejudice and discrimination. It is clear that the minority buying power is devalued by some. We must withdraw support to those who will not support us.

I've been a lifelong Jay Z fan. Jay Z is currently in partnership with Barneys New York for the release of his holiday collection -- called "A New York Holiday" (or BNY SCC). Barneys lacks any connection with the black and hip-hop community. And without his vast wealth and brand power, they would see him the same as they see Trayon Christian. Jay Z should be appalled by Barneys actions, and withdraw all support from them. If he does this, he will send a clear message to all corporations that are likeminded, that this behavior cannot be tolerated any longer.

But....you decide.  Should Jay Z actually end his partnership witht he department store...or at least issue a statement about the business' alleged mistreatment of these Black customers?

Speak on it!

*UPDATE* Barneys has issued a new statement:

Barneys New York believes that no customer should have the unacceptable experience described in recent media reports, and we offer our sincere regret and deepest apologies.

Further to our statement of yesterday, we want to reinforce that Barneys New York has zero tolerance for any form of discrimination. We are a strong proponent of equal rights and equal treatment for all human beings. Our mission is to ensure that all customers receive the highest-quality service—without exception.

To this end, we are conducting a thorough review of our practices and procedures as they relate to these matters to ensure that they reflect our continued commitment to fairness and equality. To lead this review, we have retained a civil rights expert, Michael Yaki, who also serves on the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. The Commission has been the nation’s watchdog for civil rights for more than 50 years. Mr. Yaki will be provided with unrestricted access to all aspects of our store operations.

In addition, Barneys New York has reached out to community leaders to begin a dialogue on this important issue.

Sincerely,

Mark Lee
CEO of Barneys New York

During an interview with the SiriusXM show, Food Talk, rapper Ja Rule announced his plans to write a prison-inspired cookbook full of microwavable recipes. If you're wondering what inspired THAT idea, he previously told TMZ, "I really didn't eat prison food. In jail, they're pretty crafty. We made lasagna, we made cheesecakes, we had lot of things."

But here's the thing...he was just joking!  He tweeted today, “Ok so I guess I’m doing a cookbook lol…” “The power of media it was a joke but I am a microwave master ha!!!”

Ja is currently starring in the film I'm in Love with a Church Girl with Adrienne Bailon (which is apparently the #1 independent movie in theaters according to their press release).

EDITOR'S NOTE: Post updated with Ja's response.
