K.Michelle Confirms Breakup With "Cheater" Lance Stephenson + Keyshia Cole's "I Choose You" Video

The two chicks in the game who like to blast their personal life on social media, but pull back when ish gets real, have some new things going on. K.Michelle is now confirming her breakup with NBA baller Lance Stephenson. And yes, it's over cheating.

Plus, Keyshia Cole just dropped her new video for "I Choose You." And she's got something to say about people who keep talking about her marital strife with her husband....

 photo bc7f56c82bf811e3a7d622000a9e298f_7_zpsc59d8713.jpg

K. is all about her girls these days.  Because she's no longer with Pacers baller Lance Stephenson.  After they let the world in on their vacays and plenty of romantic QT on IG, K. got pretty quiet when Lance was accused of cheating.

Several weeks ago, he reportedly IG'd a pic of himself--but his baby mama was laying in the bed next to him.  Once fans pointed out the likely unintentional photobomb of baby mama chick, Lance quickly removed the pic.  Guilty much?

Said baby mama has been tweeting somethings that insinuate she and Lance have been seeing each other again behind K.'s back.  So now, K. is done with dude.  She tweeted to fans this week:

“I’m single. I’ll explain later. I have to do what’s best for me … If it doesn’t make you smile, know when to walk away. There’s only so much a heart can take. No one deserves to be lied to and cheated on.”

She also tweeted pics of herself partying in NYC with her new besties like Elle Varner.  And said:

My girls always got my back. Welcome back K.michelle. Single and ready to throw glitter!

It seems K. stays having some cheating or other drama with men.  Hopefully she chooses someone not in the professional athlete or rapper world next time (and waits longer than a couple weeks to call them her man) since this all seems to be a common theme for her.  When the same things keep happening over and over TO you, maybe it's time to change something.  We heart K. and hope she finds what she's looking for.

Meanwhile, Keyshia Cole rolled to "106 and Park" yesterday and unveiled her new video "I Choose You."

 photo cc2b2c2e2bac11e3852322000a9e288c_8_zpse2d0c622.jpg

Rocking her own Keyshia Cole for Steve Madden shoes, jeans by Ventage Denim, and a shirt by American Apparel, Key Key had some things to say yesterday.

The co-hosts asked her last night about the marital strife she and her husband have been talking about on social media.  Her response:

“It’s all good. I’m living my life and I’m trying to do the best that I can do and the best way that I can do it,” she said. “If they wanna keep talking, they can keep talking. God is good to me and he’s blessed me so much.”

Well Keyshia, people only "keep talking" because you and Boobie "keep talking" publicly and putting your business out on IG's front street. Just an observation....

Check out the Elijah Blake-written ballad off her Woman To Woman album put to black and white visuals below:

If you're wondering why we're still talking about the "Control" verse, we think Kendrick might be coming at Drake because of a recent Billboard interview where Drizzy said, "I know good and well that Kendrick's not murdering me, at all, in any platform. So when that day presents itself, I guess we can revisit the topic."

Well....it looks like the rap batle continues.  Just keep it on wax fellas....

The 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards air October 15th on BET.

Lenny Kravitz COVERS "Ocean Drive" Men's Issue + Columbus Short COVERS "Heed" Magazine + John Legend's "All Of Me" (VIDEO)

Lenny Kravitz and "Scandal" star Columbus Short are among the faces featured magazine covers this month.  See their covers inside and watch John Legend's "All Of Me" video....

 photo kennyk1.jpg

In Ocean Drive magazine’s annual Men’s Issue, Lenny Kravitz opens up about filming Hunger Games by day and recording his 10th album by night. He also talks about his design company (he designed the set of The Queen Latifah Show), what has influenced his personal style and much more.

Here are the highlights:

On making his 10th album while filming The Hunger Games

There was this old-school ‘70s studio in Atlanta that I wanted to visit. The next thing I knew, I was booking myself in there, filming the movie by day and making music by night…

When I make my music, I write it, I produce it, I play the instruments – it’s my expression 100 percent. What I love about making films is that it’s completely not about me; it’s about a director’s vision, it’s about the character, and I’m there to serve. The music was a reaction of doing that all day. Something was brewing inside of me, so it had to come out. At night it would just be, Okay, now I am back to being me, and directing myself – and doing what it is that I do.

On his “life-altering” experience seeing the Jackson 5

Everything changed the next day. That’s when I realized what I wanted to do with my life. They wore these really funky outfits – they had the Afros, boots that came up to the knee paired with knickers, and colorful shirts and vests. It was the most incredible thing I had ever seen.

The day that Stevie Wonder entered his Miami home

“He came in, took off his shoes, and as I was walking him to sit down, he said, ‘ This space is so beautiful,’ recalls Kravitz, still in awe over the comment years later. “Imagine, its all based on feel and vibe.”

On his mother’s influence

She knew very early coming up that it was about who you are; it was about respect, integrity, love, and authenticity – and not all about this Hollywood glamour. My mother moved to Los Angeles when she got The Jeffersons and took the bus to work for the first season. The bus. She’s like, ‘I’m a New Yorker, there’s no subway, so I’m taking the bus.’

On his parents’ friends having a lasting impression on his personal style

I was around people like Miles Davis, who at the time had moved from his suit look to being really funky, wearing all these great leather, suede, and denim outfits, big glasses, and ethnic jewelry. A lot of my parents’ friends were poets, writers, actors, and directors, and this was the very early ‘70s in New York City, so people were very colorful. And their apartments were very expressive, and I was just drawn to that.

On his design company, Kravitz Design , not being a vanity side project

It wasn’t about, ‘Well I’m Lenny Kravitz, and I am going to use my star power to bully my way into some other field…’ It was about actually designing, creating, and learning.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire hits theaters on Nov. 22nd.

Also on magazine racks....

 photo heedc1.jpg

Inside the latest issue of HEED, 31-year-old actor Columbus Short (who's heading for divorce court) talked about his experience on Scandal and how it's shaped him as an actor.

Within myself, I feel like I am a versatile actor. Scandal has started to broaden the awareness of my range of acting. So, I consider myself a character actor. And I’m starting to see that (evidenced) in the responses…that respect…Now it’s not all about, ‘Oh, he’s hot! He’s sexy! They’re talking about the work. And that’s always what I wanted it to be about. There are more opportunities for African American males opening up. For me, this is just the beginning. Scandal is the beginning of a new chapter…

The magazine hits stands on October 8th and also features actor/singer Tristan “Mack” Wilds (90210), Jay Ellis (The Game) and actress/singer KeKe Palmer (Crazy Sexy Cool).

Jennifer Hudson Joins The "Women Paying For Engagement Rings" Discussion On "The View" + SPEAK ON IT!

Posted: 02 Oct 2013 02:43 PM PDT

 photo jhudring_zps3951fd99.jpg

While making her promo rounds today in NYC (shown above leaving "GMA") for her upcoming movie The Inevitable Defeat Of Mister & Peete, Jennifer Hudson chimed in on the new report that more women are putting money on their own engagement rings.  Decide if you're feeling the new trend inside...

A new report is out about the trend of women splitting the cost of engagement rings with their fiances.  NY Mag reports:

According to a survey on the Knot’s Facebook page, an increasing number of heterosexual couples are splitting the cost of an engagement ring. Female respondents reported putting money down on their own ring to help out a less financially stable partner, paying for a ring with a joint account, or, in a few cases, agreeing to contribute in exchange for a larger rock.

Since Jennifer Hudson and her fat rock were all over the promo scene today, she got in on the convo.  After hitting the morning talk show circuit, Jenny headed over to "The View" for a chit chat.

At the 1:20 mark below, Babs gets Jennifer to chime in on their earlier discussion and asks (this gag worthy question) if David Otunga paid for that engagement ring. Sigh. Jenny played along and showed her ring saying "Uh huh".

By the way, J-Hud revealed she's currently recording her third album.

So, should women pitch in on the engagement ring, especially if they have super specific requirements?

SPEAK ON IT!

Alicia Keys and Jennifer Hudson appeared with Robin Roberts on GMA, this morning, where they discussed their film The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete (October 11th).  The film, which Alicia produced and George Tillman Jr. directed, centers around two inner-city kids who are forced to fend for themselves in New York City after their drug-addicted mothers are taken away by authorities.

Jennifer, who plays a heroin addict, told Robin she spent time with a recovering addict in order to connect to her character.    Meanwhile, Alicia explained that the movie is a powerful story of redemption and you never know who'll be there to help you in a time of need.

Both women are mommies of 3-year-old boys (Egypt & David Jr.) and they joked that their kids are extra musical.   As expected.

Alicia also promoted her upcoming fundraiser gala, The Black Ball (November 7th). All proceeds will go to Alicia's charity, "Keep A Child Alive" which assists people affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India.

MORE Pics From Rihanna's GLAMOUR Shoot, "I Feel Like I'm ALWAYS Being Watched!"

We have more pics from Rihanna's November cover spread with GLAMOUR magazine.  See the pics inside and watch the making of "Pour It Up".

 photo article-2439114-186EE43000000578-989_634x813.jpg

In the November issue of GLAMOUR (revisit the cover at the link), pop priestess Rihanna opens up about being teased as a child and how the scrutiny of her peers prepped her for the music industry.  She also talked about her lack of privacy and always feeling like she's being "watched."  Which she probably is, since the way one becomes the pop star they want to be is by making people watch them. Just a hunch.  Here are the highlights:

GLAMOUR: You left Barbados 10 years ago as Robyn and became Rihanna. Who are you when you’re back home?

RIHANNA: When people call me Robyn, my head just flies around because I feel like that person knows me. But Rihanna, that tends to be people’s own [creation]. Robyn is who I am. Rihanna—that’s an idea of who I am.

GLAMOUR: You grew up not too far from here. But I’ve heard that school wasn’t easy.

RIHANNA: I got teased my entire school life. What they were picking on I don’t even understand. It was my skin color [which was lighter than her classmates’]. Then when I got older, it was about my breasts. But I’m not victimized—I’m grateful. I think those experiences were strategically put together by God for the preparation of being in the music industry. It’s so easy for me to deal with the bullsh-t now.

GLAMOUR: You were clearly prepared. You just edged out your pal Katy Perry for having the most number-one pop songs.

RIHANNA: Oh, right! That was the thing my fans tweeted me.

GLAMOUR: Wait, you heard about that from a fan on Twitter?

RIHANNA: Yeah! [Laughs.] My fans are on it. That’s where I hear about most of my stats.

GLAMOUR: They definitely keep their eyes on you. Do you ever feel too watched, or trapped?

RIHANNA: There’s stuff like not being able to walk around as I please. I feel like I’m being watched. Always. Like, I want to tan topless somewhere, and I know I probably could never do that. Even if I’m upstairs in my bedroom, and the curtains are pulled, I feel like a paparazzo’s outside on a boat somewhere or somebody’s peeping.

GLAMOUR: Yikes. You’ve said before that you get misunderstood a lot.

RIHANNA: I know I am. That’s why it’s important for me to know who I am. There’s no way for people to know me. All they have are a couple of pictures and some crazy headlines to go off of.

GLAMOUR: Well, they’ve got your music.

RIHANNA: One hundred percent. Music helps me tell my story. That’s where I can really be heard. But there’s so much focus on the things that aren’t music.

GLAMOUR: Ah, the haters. Do you pay attention to what they say?

RIHANNA: I can’t run from it. You can’t change who you are. It’s important for me to know who I am and work with that. They’re gonna keep knocking away until all this comes crashing down. But I’m not gonna ever crash. I’m in control.

GLAMOUR: You seem pretty fearless these days.

RIHANNA: I had to regain my fearlessness because it did go away for a little bit. My mother said something to me a few years ago: “I’ve seen something in your eyes I’ve never seen before: fear.” She was like, “No, this is not you.” I just got back to being OK with myself.

 photo article-2439114-186EE44900000578-989_634x872.jpg

In other Rihanna news, her Pacific Palisades mansion was vandalized over the weekend.  TMZ reports that someone threw a chair through a sliding glass door at the home during a failed robbery attempt.  Thankfully, they were scared off by the alarm.

And in upcoming videos......

We've shown you tons of pics from the "Pour It Up" shoot and now you can check out BTS video from the making of the video.
