Halle Berry had landed the lead role in a new CBS series. Get the show deets inside and watch Nelly talk about dating Tae Heckard on "Wendy". Halle Berry has landed the lead role in the new Steven Speilberg-produced sci-fi series "Extant". Set to air on CBS, the network has picked up 13-episodes for next summer. According to Deadline, Extant "centers on an astronaut (Berry) who returns home from a year-long solo mission in space and tries to reconnect with her husband and son in their everyday life. Her experiences in space and home lead to events that ultimately will change the course of human history." Steven talked about Halle's casting saying, “There’s only one Halle Berry and we are incredibly honored that she has chosen Extant to expand her illustrious career. As she does with everything she touches, she will bring a deep authenticity to her role and I very much look forward to working with her." CBS Entertainment president Nina Tassler added, “Halle is the type of award-winning actress you dream of collaborating with for an event project such as Extant.” Halle said “I’m always on the lookout for amazing roles and when you see material that contains this strong of auspices, nuance and complexity it compels me to run toward it no matter the medium. For five months a year I’ll get to live with and play this incredibly intelligent and vulnerable woman, and for the remainder of the year I’ll continue to look for other roles that move me as deeply as this one."
Also in television news... Nelly stopped by "Wendy" earlier today to perform his latest single "Rick James" off his new album M.O. After the performance, Wendy asked Nelly if he was dating ”The Game” actress Tae Heckard. The rapper (who famously refused to claim Ashanti in public) got very uncomfortable and “Tae’s a pretty girl. I don’t know what to think at this point. It’s not like you’re making it out to be, Wendy. Yes we're friends....we enjoy being friends.” Ummm...based on our past experiences with Nelly, we'll take that as a confirmation. BONUS: Ellen invited three-year-old Heaven King and her mom, Atlanta dancer Tianne King, on her show to recreate their Beyonce-inspired dance moves that have gone viral. Enjoy! |

Former NFL player Terrell Owens is set to appear on the next installment of Iyanla: Fix My Life. Watch a preview inside and see New York Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano being accused of being a negligent father. In an emotional episode, spiritual life coach Iyanla Vanzant travels to Alexander City, Alabama, the hometown of acclaimed and controversial American football wide receiver Terrell Owens, who despite incredible talent and enormous success as a professional athlete finds himself in personal crisis which threatens his future. As Robinson's money team sets off to negotiate a $300 million contract on the free market, his baby momma Jackelin Castro, told ESPN that Mr. $300 million regularly misses his $600 per month child support payments. She's also filed a lawsuit against Robinson in the D.R. During a profile with ESPN, she said,

When 34-year-old Miriam Carey, who has been identified as the now deceased suspect in yesterday's Capitol Hill chase, was discovered to have possibly suffering from mental issues, it sparked a different conversation amongst the masses.
Find out why some are saying it's an injustice the unarmed mom of a 1-year-old was fatally shot, even though she tried to ram the barricades of The White House.... Plenty of developments have surfaced after yesterday's frightening lockdown on Capitol Hill. The suspect who was identified as causing the lock down is Miriam Carey. With her 1-year-old daughter in her car, she recklessly drove into the barriers surrounding the White House and led Capitol police on a chase toward the Capitol. It was reported that Miriam, who lived in Stamford, CT but was originally from Brooklyn, was unarmed, but her seemingly reckless driving in a super secure area and getting out fo the car afterwards led cops to believe she was a major threat. Many know that making ANY wrong move this close to the White House or Capitol usually leads to security personnel shooting first and asking questions later. Now, Miriam's mother, friends and employer have shed some light on the incident. Apparently, Miriam, who works as a dental hygienist, told those around her that she believed her home was electronically rigged and President Obama was stalking her. Her former employer revealed to ABC News that she suffered a head injury over a year ago after some type of fall or accident and during her doctor evaluation, she learned she was pregnant. Miriam's mother told ABC News she believes her daughter suffered from postpartum depression after the birth of her daughter, Erica.
Cops found severe medication used for emotional instability when they searched her Stamford home. On December 12th, reports show Miriam was hospitalized for a psych evaluation after she said the city of Stamford was on lockdown (it was not) and Pres. Obama had electronically rigged her house. On December 21st, she had a confrontation with police after her boyfriend called authorities out of fear of their child's safety. Then this past January, she received postpartum depression treatment. Some experts believe there are psychosis issues involved as well since depression does not usually cause a person to drive from CT to DC to attempt to wrongfully enter the Capitol or White House. Many are outraged at the cops fatally shooting Miriam in her car (the child was not hurt and has been handed over to Miriam's family in Brooklyn) as she was unarmed. But what are your thoughts, considering the super tight security around the Capitol? [UPDATE] Miriam's family has now confirmed she suffered from postpartum psychosis, but was on medicine which seemed to be working. They do not know what triggered this particular incident, but her sister said at Friday night's press conference that she believes the police could have handled the situation differently.

Yesterday, REVOLT TV's Sean "Diddy Combs made a special appearance at National Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge at The Times Center in New York City. The "Challenge" was created by The Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), an organization that empowers teens through entrepreneurship education. At the event, the four finalists, Juny Nguyen, Jesus Fernandez, Dagim Girma and Toheeb Okenla (shown atop) received a coaching session from Diddy.
Jesus Fernandez and Toheeb Okenia, from South Holland, IL beat out 38 teen competitors with their business plan for T&J Soccer which centers on a manufacturing/retail business that sells soccer socks with pockets sewn into them for inserts that protect players' shins during soccer games. Diddy gifted the NFTE with a check for $250,000 in support of their good works. He tweeted, I'm here w/ @NFTE supporting our young entrepreneurs of tomorrow!! It's an honor!! #trepsTo whom much is given much is expected ! Thank God 4 Hip Hop ! #GiveBack Love it!
The $500 mill media mogul hit up "The View" today to talk about the teen entrepreneur program. And he says he feels like he's ready to take the responsibility of what it means to be Hip Hop's #1 cash king. And that means, he's helping to rear up the new batch of multi millionaires. And when Babs Walters asked him why he still isn't married, Diddy got a little shy but admitted that he's waiting until he's ready to be able to give a woman everything she needs. Actress Stacey Dash appeared on FOX NEWS recently where she attacked President Obama...again...and said she only voted for him in 2008 because he was black. Read the story of Stacey's talking points inside... During a segment that focused on school vouchers, Stacey Dash dropped by to talk about her forthcoming autobiography Not Black Enough (Here we go...) and to place blame on President Obama for healthcare, education, crime and everything else wrong with the United States and the world. because he is the inventor of every problem of the world...no problms existed before he took office in 2009. We're convinced that Stacey is the paid-representative of some anti-Obama right-wing extremist group. At least we hope that's the case because then all of her foolery would made logical sense. You don't have to be Team Obama, but you do need to be able to articulate your points with actual facts and not thirst or hate-filled garbage. While appearing on “Hannity with Sean Hannity”, Stacey commented on the Obama Administration’s lawsuit with the state of Louisiana over its current school voucher system. She believes vouchers should be allowed as they result in school "integration":
And while we applaud her take on the controversial voucher issue, she goes and says this ish. Stacey said she only voted for President Obama because of his race.
It's interesting to watch Stacey go from praising Paula Dean to criticizing President Obama. And not even acknowledging the responsibility of Obama's opposition has in also causing racial and unnecessary rifts in this country. We just want to know, what's her end game? Chris & V had just finished celebrating the birthday of Christina's mother, Carmen Milian, along with fiance Jas Prince.
Earlier this year, Jas threw a huge mother's day luncheon for Carmen & his own mom where Christina presented her with a Jaguar. Clearly Mama Milian is treated very well!

"Scandal" obsessors rejoice! Your social media craziness and obsessive watching of the season 3 premiere have led to record ratings! Find out how Kerry Washington and the rest of the Gladiators HANDLED tv last night.... While network TV's big Thursday night shows "Glee" (co-starring Amber Riley) and "X-Factor" (with judge Kelly Rowland) did well, "Scandal" did better. The salacious drama-soap returned with the biggest premiere ratings they've ever had. Entertainment Weekly reports:
Yep, 10.5 million. This beat out all the rest of the premieres of the night, except for ABC's "The Millers" which got over 13 million viewers. Congrats to YBF chicks Kerry Washington (we still have our Preggers Watch eye on you boo) and creator Shonda Rhimes and the entire cast for their record breaking night that had us laid out with heart palpitations afterwards...

A few weeks ago we broke the news that Mona Scott-Young was expanding her "Love & Hip Hop" empire to three additional cities (Los Angeles, Houston, New Orleans) and now we have an idea about which characters might be popping up in the H-Town installment. We guessed originally this would very likely involve Slim, Toya and some strippers. Did we call it...or did we call it? First up, rapper Slim Thug (who performed on Beyonce's #1 hit "Check On It" and the "I Been On" remix) is definitely a rumored cast member. With hits like "Still Tippin" under his belt, the Boss Hogg Outlawz owner is also known for famously dating ex-Destiny's Child member LeToya Luckett (shown atop). A source told TheYBF.com that LeToya Luckett has also signed up for the Houston installment and we will likely see the ex-couple sort through their unfinished business. You'll recall that they parted ways a few years ago after Slim allegedly impregnated another woman. And speaking of "paternity", Slim (who also took his followers on his vasectomy journey) recently received news that he is NOT the father of an 11-year-old boy whose mother took him to court (and froze his bank accounts) for back-child support. For the past few days, he's been celebrating the "good" news on his social media outlets.
