Charlize Theron in a little black Dior at a ‘Young Adult’ screening: pretty or boring? Posted: 20 Nov 2011 08:14 AM PST Here are some photos of Charlize Theron (and Elizabeth Reaser) at the Friday screening of Young Adult. Charlize is in Dior, because she's the face of the brand and she's shown the brand a lot of loyalty, even after John Galliano had his anti-Semitic episode and he was subsequently fired. Thoughts on the little black dress? As I rule, I don't care for boob ruffled, but it's pretty. On Charlize, it's kind of boring, right? Charlize is so pretty and she's got that amazing body, but she has not been wowing me recently, not even with her casual clothes. What is the promotional tour for Young Adult going to be like? Like this boringness? My concern for her fashion is because I'm starting to get the feeling that Charlize is going to get a lot of attention for Young Adult. First of all, she rarely does comedies, if ever. Secondly, Charlize rarely does movies that people really want to see. She does so many serious dramas and depressing-looking films, and Young Adult sees her join forces with Diablo Cody and Jason Reitman, the pair that brought us Juno. I just think that this will be a hit movie for Charlize, and she might even get nominated for some awards. So she needs to bring it, fashion-wise. Here's the Young Adult trailer once again: |
Is Demi Moore planning to “financially punish” Ashton Kutcher in the divorce? Posted: 20 Nov 2011 07:11 AM PST There are twenty-million stories about Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher this weekend, and almost all of them are pretty tedious and boring. Here's an honest question: do you think Demi Moore really cares about money? Yes, she's very rich (her production company makes her a lot of money), but do you think that Demi cares enough about the money to really fight tooth and nail about it during her divorce? I don't. Anyway, here are some highlights from various stories: *Ashton is keeping up with his professional obligations – he was spotted at work on Two & a Half Men after the divorce announcement. Fans say Ashton was "fine" and "very professional" and “business as usual" on set. Also, "It was a great show. He was his usual self. He seemed in good spirits. He seemed totally normal.” Probably because he doesn't give a crap? *Both Demi and Ashton have big premieres coming up in the next few months. Ashton is expected to make the promotional rounds for New Year's Eve in December, and Demi will be promoting LOL, the film she did with Miley Cyrus, next year. Oh, and Demi has a small film coming out in December too – Another Happy Day. A source says, “She’s moving full force ahead in terms of work.” *Sources describe the last days of Ashton & Demi's marriage as a lot of unhappiness and a lot of fighting. Counseling didn't even help. Shocking. *The Mail claims that Demi is going after Ashton's fortune in the divorce. A source claims that she's instructed her lawyers to "punish him financially." The source continues: "With a pre-nuptial agreement, Ashton should be sitting pretty. These agreements are designed to protect one's earnings during the marriage as well as one's pre-nuptial assets. But Demi is furious, raging in fact – you only have to look at every photo you see of her to see the toll Ashton's cheating has taken on her. She wants to punish him financially because of the way he has broken her heart. She is talking about going after a share of what he has earned since their marriage on the grounds that she contributed to much of what he has achieved. She is going to give him a bitter fight and, whether or not she wins, it will be an expensive lesson for him." *Demi feels like Ashton "violated her trust." The marriage couldn't even be fixed by a make-or-break trup to Parrot Cay in the Caribbean, where they stayed at Bruce Willis's house: "She was a wreck. She believes strongly in marriage and she really didn't want to spend her middle years alone. But in the end, she just couldn't see any way of making things work. Bruce told her he is in her corner." *Demi and Ashton were all about the threesomes while married, according to sources: "They would have threesomes. Demi liked women and Ashton would bring another woman into their relationship for flings, but they both agreed to it. If he wanted to do anything as long as she knew about it she was fine. It was the sneaky ones when he got caught that infuriated Demi. Demi is attracted to women just as much as men, so she didn't always get all she needed from Ashton. That's why she didn't mind having women in the relationship as long as she was involved." Do I believe that they had threesomes? Eh, sure. I don't think it was a regular thing, though. My guess is that it was a last-ditch effort to save their marriage in the past few years, and that it was more for Ashton than for Demi and her "needs". I'm not sure that I buy that Demi is all about having sex with ladies, either. I think her needs are about holding on to her youth and maintaining a certain image. |
Blake Lively in white & silver Marchesa: lovely or ice-skater fug? Posted: 20 Nov 2011 06:40 AM PST These are photos from the party for the 100th episode of Gossip Girl. Um… when a show gets to 100 episodes, do they usually do a formal event where everyone gets dressed up? No, right? Usually, it's just a nice cake and an afternoon off, maybe. But not Gossip Girl! Anyway, Blake Lively made sure that she got all of the attention at this event too, by wearing this completely odd Marchesa dress. Blake really needs to stop with the Marchesa – she's the face of Chanel, for the love of God, and if she's going to look like busted hell, it should be in Chanel. Blake in Marchesa ALWAYS looks like she's an ice skater or showgirl. I don't get the white fringe on this dress at all – it really does look like an ice dancer's costume, doesn't it? Also: Blake looks really, really slim here. Maybe it's just the dress, or has she lost some weight recently? Even her (fake) boobs look smaller. Poor Leighton Meester. Always overshadowed by Blake and her rack. Leighton wore this ragged-looking Balmain. Meh. She definitely needs to rethink this hairstyle too – I think Leighton is so pretty, but she's been looking kind of rough lately. And Chloe Moretz was there for some reason. I don't know. Don't get me started. She's 14 years old. She's wearing fug Stella McCartney. |
Mila Kunis attends the Marine Corps Ball with Sgt. Scott Moore in North Carolina Posted: 20 Nov 2011 06:15 AM PST After a lot of back-and-forth over the summer, Mila Kunis officially agreed to be Sgt. Scott Moore's date at his Marine Corps Ball this weekend. Justin Timberlake had gotten an invitation from a female Marine, and he went last weekend. But Mila's invite was the one to start this whole thing where Joe Citizens (or G.I. Joe Citizens) began posting cutesy videos asking out celebrities. Sgt. Moore was the ground-breaker, and this weekend he got his dream date. Mila Kunis arrived in Greenville, NC, and these are a few of the official Marine Corps photos of Mila and Scott Moore. CoughBANGScough. She apparently had a wonderful time on her magical Marine Corps Ball date:
[From People] I know many of you hate this whole thing where celebrities are put on the hot seat and asked out by members of the public, but I still kind of like it. Especially when it comes to members of our armed forces, who used to get a lot more attention from Hollywood. So few of these "big" celebrities do any kind of work with the USO, so it's nice to see a young actress like Mila taking an interest in our military personnel. And for goodness sake, this is a good-publicity bonanza for Mila, and you can beat that there are hundreds of young actresses who wish that they had gotten invited to this event, so they could look this good. |
Prince Harry makes his first trip to Las Vegas and he loved it, of course Posted: 20 Nov 2011 05:39 AM PST Prince Harry had another weekend off while training in America. So what did Harry do with his time? He went to Las Vegas, of course. Oooooh, nine months from now, there is going to be a spike in ginger babies born, I swear. Apparently, the third in line to the throne spent his time in Las Vegas doing some serious partying, gambling and drinking. What did you expect?
[From People] There's so much gold in here. "He later danced seductively with her, with his hands around her waist and zero daylight visible between their bodies…" I bet he was staring deeply into her eyes too. Harry has moves. Trust. I bet he put his hand in the small of her back, leading her gently, pulling her in closer and closer. "Don't mind that," he whispered, staring at her lips. "That's my royal scepter." But… "a slew of women to approach his VIP area… They were all turned away as security told gawkers it was a 'private party'"… Harry was c–kblocked by his security and handlers! You know he wanted to party with all of the club girls. Anyway, that was just what went down on Friday night. On Saturday night, Harry and EIGHT dudes (including security) went to see the Cirque Du Soleil show (he was overheard saying that he "loved" the show), and afterwards, Harry drank for free as he gambled. A source tells People Magazine, "He lost $300 gambling [Saturday morning] and his friends lost $200. He couldn’t believe you got free drinks from gambling at the blackjack tables." After he got good and hammered, he went to XS nightclub and had a quieter time (from assorted accounts) and he was overheard tells people that he was having such a good time, he might stay in Vegas another night. That boy LOVES to party. |
