Madonna's W.E. Release Pushed Back…But For Good Reasons

Posted: 10 Nov 2011 12:40 PM PST

Normally, we'd shun such a maneuver, but in actually, this might be the best thing for everyone, especially the Queen herself.

The studio behind Madonna's new movie W.E. has decided to push back the release date of the film to February 3rd. While the film will still run for a qualifying week in December (Oscars, Oscars, Oscars!), the official date has been pushed to capitalize on the hype of Madge in the new year. This new date is closer to the Super Bowl, where Madonna will be performing at the half time show, and the release of her new album.

Besides, if the flick makes its full debut at Christmas time, its going to have a lot more competition than it can handle. Too much, in fact. We don't want her movie to get lost in the shuffle ... do you?

Brett Ratner Apologizes To Olivia Munn!

Posted: 10 Nov 2011 12:20 PM PST

Brett Ratner has found himself swirling around in such a shit storm right now, it's unbelievable.

Not only is he gonna have to make things right with the LGBT community and the Academy (that is, if he ever wants to be recognized for his Scorsese-like work), but he's also gonna have to make 'em right with Olivia Munn.

After she wrote about dating a nameless Hollywood big-wig who likes masturbating with shrimp, he took it upon himself to claim the story was in fact about him (because surely he's the only Hollywood big-wig she's ever dated...lol). But then he argued her exaggeration was because he "banged her but forgot her."

In the days following his less than classy comments, Olivia stayed mum but word got around she was pretty upset. And yeah, we get it. We mean, she never used his name.

So now, according to an inside source, Brett called her to apologize. He also told her to listen to his interview on Howard Stern Monday when he'll attempt to make it right.

Of course, we don't know if any apology will really make it right with Olivia...at least for now. Multiple sources claim the actress "wants nothing to do with him ever again."

Oooh, Brett! Hurt feelings all around!! But we can't go forgetting about yours, either... If it wasn't for you, the greatest door for the Academy Awards would have never opened up. So thank you for that.

Yeah, U know what we're talkin' about... #MuppetsOscars

Twist! Previously Voted Off X Factor UK Acts To Be Invited Back To Replace Frankie Cocozza

Posted: 10 Nov 2011 12:10 PM PST

This is the kind of thing that is going to attract a lot of eyeballs!

Last night, the announcement finally came down that Frankie Cocozza will be leaving The X Factor UK for good and that this would be his last show. Following his announcement came another, a happier more exciting one in fact. The producers of the show have decided to bring back one of the four acts that were sent home by the judges in the first live show. So, we're talking about James Michael, Amelia Lily, 2 Shoes or Jonjo Kerr.

So who will it be? Well, U will get to decide. In bringing the acts back, each will have the chance to perform again, but this time, the public will get to decide who will stay and who will go home ... again.

An X Factor spokesperson explains:

"The four acts have never been in a public vote so, with Frankie leaving the competition, this is an opportunity for the public to decide who comes back to the show."

That seems pretty fair to us! And rather exciting! These guys are getting a real shot now. Maybe one of them will even go all the way!

What do U think? Are one of UR favorites coming back? Who will U be voting for?!

We think Adele would be proud!

And gosh, the turn around this show has! It's insane!!!

Not two weeks ago did we report that Glee had taped their 300th performance, with Naya Rivera, Amber Riley and Heather Morris tackling a wicked cool mashup of two of Adele's latest hits.

While we're not too sure about the plot context of this performance, we can tell you that it is SUPER hot, with Naya giving some of her best vocals to date!

We're impressed!!!

Ashton Kutcher Hands His Twitter Over To Mangement Team After Defending Joe Paterno

Posted: 10 Nov 2011 11:10 AM PST

Ashton Kutcher quit tweeting almost immediately after he posted a string of ignorant tweets in defense of Penn State coach Joe Paterno. Today, he was back on Twitter, but only to admit he is no longer responsible for his Twitter page. He is handing over the power to someone else.

Ashton took to his page to explain - in some length - this his micro-blog will now be handled by his management team. This team will now oversee everything he posts to filter out any, shall we say, absentminded thoughts he may wish to share.

You can read the message in full after the job, but here is the jist of his post:

"Up until today I have posted virtually everyone of my tweets on my own, but clearly the platform has become to big to be managed by a single individual. While I will continue to express myself through @Aplusk I'm going to turn the management of the feed over to my team at Katalyst Media to ensure the quality of it's content."

Maybe this is for the best ... and maybe this is also why he hasn't tweeted yet about what is going on between him and Demi Moore. Dude just can't be trusted with his own thoughts.

You're not the first celebrity to do this, Ashton. You won't be the last. We're guessing you've learned a very valuable lesson about all this.

Twitter Management

Up until today I have posted virtually every one of my tweets on my own, but clearly the platform has become to big to be managed by a single individual. When I started using twitter it was a communication platform that people could say what they are thinking in real time and if their facts where wrong the community would quickly and helpfully reframe an opinion. It was a conversation, a community driven education tool, and opinion center that encouraged healthy debate. It seems that today that twitter has grown into a mass publishing platform, where ones tweets quickly become news that is broadcasted around the world and misinformation becomes volatile fodder for critics.

Last night after returning home from work I walked by the television and simply saw a headline that Joe Paterno had been fired. Having no more information than that, I assumed that he had been fired due to poor performance as an aging coach. As a football fan and someone who had watched Joe's career move from that of legend/innovator to a head coach that fulfilled his duty in the booth, I assumed that the university had let him go due to football related issues. With that assumption (how dare I assume) I posted a tweet defending his career. I then when about my evening, had some dinner, did a little work, and about an hour later turned on ESPN where I got the full story. I quickly went back on my twitter account and found a hailstorm of responses calling me an "idiot" and several other expletives that I've become accustom to hearing for almost anything I post. I quickly retracted and deleted my previous post, however that didn't seem enough to satisfy people's outrage at my misinformed post. I truly am sorry if I offended anyone and more over am going to take action to ensure that it doesn't happen again.

A collection of over 8 million followers is not to be taken for granted. I feel responsible for delivering an informed opinion and not spreading gossip or rumors through my twitter feed. While I feel that running this feed myself gives me a closer relationship to my friends and fans I've come to realize that it has grown into more that a fun tool to communicate with people. While I will continue to express myself through @Aplusk I'm going to turn the management of the feed over to my team at Katalyst Media to ensure the quality of it's content. My sincere apologies to anyone who I have offended. It was a mistake that I don't think will happen again.

And Now, The Ark Music Factory Presents…

Posted: 10 Nov 2011 10:50 AM PST

Their latest attempt to recapture the magic of Rebecca Black. (FYI - It's still not working!)

It seems the Ark Music Factory hasn't learned from it's mistakes and is STILL trying to make a mega-super-awesome-cha-ching act of some poor, young "artists" who want to be the next Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber. Their latest act, Kelsey and Jack, just released their first video, Hold Me (above) and like the rest of Ark's acts, they're nothing to write about.

True, tween girls would probably really adore this Jack kid, with his surfer smile and Edward Cullen haircut. And yes, this Kelsey chick has some potential to sell crappy clothes to the masses of 9-14 girls who are searching for a new idol. But the thing is ... they can't sing! There's enough autotune in this video to make Lil' Wayne cringe and cover his ears. And the song? Atrocious!

Oh, and don't even get us started on Jack "playing the guitar." Waste of a perfectly good instrument!

Still, if we are placing blame and getting these kids' hopes up, than the fault lies with those parents of theirs. At the end of the day, if they don't make it big, their dreams are dash and Ark Music is $2,000+ richer. So really, who is the fool in all this!

Stephen King Wants To Keep You Warm, Maine!

Posted: 10 Nov 2011 10:40 AM PST

So he's giving back in a really nice way.

Times are tough all over, but in Maine, not having a steady income can mean not having enough money to buy heating oil. As we're heading into the winter months, that's really something that the residents in the area really can't afford to do without, so horror author Stephen King is stepping up to help some struggling folks.

He announced this week that his foundation will work with the three Bangor area radio stations he owns to raise $140,000 to buy heating oil for low-income residents. His hope is that his listeners will raise $70K for people, which he will than double with his own funds.

It might seem like a lot, but it means more than you can even imagine. The area can get all the help that they can get, so if you can do something for these people, you should. And Bravo to Stephen for putting such a wonderful event together to raise money for the cause.
