Tyler Perry's The New Morgan Freeman Alex Cross Posted: 01 Feb 2011 12:50 PM PST Inneresting! A real stretch from what he is used to, that's for sure. Tyler Perry's reportedly stepping into the role of Alex Cross, a detective-psychologist created by author James Patterson in a new flick. The role was previously portrayed by Morgan Freeman (twice), but we imagine Morgan's gotten a bit old for the role! Or maybe they just wanted someone who was more of a master of disguises! Who knows! No word yet what Patterson story will be coming to the big screen, but the script is said to be in the final stages. Along with a new movie, James also reportedly has an 18th novel featuring the character coming out later this year. What do U think of Tyler taking over the role? [Image via WENN.]

Justin Bieber In The Middle Of The Dream/Christina Milian Divorce Drama! Posted: 01 Feb 2011 12:40 PM PST Poor Justin Bieber! We bet he didn't see this drama coming his way! The singer is apparently in the middle of a nasty divorce settlement going on between The Dream and Christina Milian - because she wants more than the originally agreed upon 10% of the songwriter's publishing interest for Baby, the track he co-wrote for Bieber! According to court documents, now that Milian is trying to demand more support, The Dream is now attempting to cancel ANY payments to her! Good lord! It just never ends with these two, does it? Mariah says: "Even before we announced it was twins, I was trying to keep everything genderneutral because I didn't want to impose an identity on them too soon. There were fan contests on Twitter about what gender they are and rumors about them being two boys or two girls — but nobody guessed this!" We all knew the couple was expecting twins, due to Nick Cannon's live on-the-radio reveal back in December. We wonder if Nick ended up getting in trouble for that! The little ones are due in April! Cyndi Lauper Claims Her Blotchy Face Is Due To Rash Posted: 01 Feb 2011 11:30 AM PST Aw. Poor thing! It really does look terribly uncomfortable. Ealier today, we revealed a picture of Cyndi Lauper looking positively awful as she walked through LAX yesterday. We felt so bad for her, but assumed the redness of her face was due to a chemical peel or something. Wanting to set the record straight, Cyndi just reached out to sources to clarify that she's actually "suffering from a rash," but that she'll be okay. Well, we guess the rash still could be from some sorta cosmetic procedure. Quite frankly, we don't much care, so long as she's going to be alright. Keep your chin up, bb! Stephen King's The Stand Coming To The Big Screen Posted: 01 Feb 2011 11:20 AM PST This is a big idea to tackle. We hope they know what they are in for. If you're a Stephen King fan, most likely you've read The Stand. If you're not, you've probably been exposed to its story and not even known it. The 1978 cult-like classic has influenced a lot of other material over the years with its post-apocalyptic themes, but never has anyone actually tackled telling King's story in its on world. Until now… CBS Films and Warner Bros. have announced that they are taking the first steps in making King's The Stand a major motion picture…or two or three or more motion pictures! Meetings are being set up as we speak with producers to decided on a game plan in attacking making this story translate to a movie. Stephen's said to be a part of the brainstorming process, but no word yet if he'll actually be writing the script. For those of you who aren't familiar, The Stand is a story of good vs. evil after a virus wipes out most of the American population. A group of survivors spend the major of the book fighting the Antichrist-like character Randall Flagg. He's one scaaaaary dude! We can't even think of anyone who could play him! Maybe they'll get an unknown. Like we said, this is a huge undertaking, but if it's done right, they might have the makings of a prosperous new horror franchise. We'd be game for that. How about U?
