Idol Doing Well, Survivor Not So Much! Posted: 17 Feb 2011 12:50 PM PST Okay! Let's do this! So, Wednesday night numbers are in! Who took the top spot?? Well, it's not that surprising, but, American Idol's Hollywood week is the champ! It had no mercy on its competitior, CBS, beating the pants off them with a 153% difference! Wow! Suspect Behavior, Forest Whitaker's spinoff of Criminal Minds, actually beat out it's original counterpart on its debut. Survivor, unfortunately, had its lowest premiere ever. The source says this about Survivor:
Well, it makes sense to us that it would happen going up against Idol for the first time! And finally, we had an article last week about Mr. Sunshine pulling in extremely strong numbers for its debut. It didn't last, we're afraid, as it took a pretty big hit in numbers this week, alongside its lead-in, the hilarious Modern Family. Well, congrats Idol, and good luck to everyone else next week! What did U watch last night?? [Image via WENN.] |
Disney Responds To Billy Ray Cyrus' Hannah Montana Lash Out Posted: 17 Feb 2011 12:40 PM PST During a GQ interview that was released earlier this week, Billy Ray Cyrus lashed out at Disney and blamed Miley's Hannah Montana handlers for ruining Now, a source at Disney has responded to Billy Ray's claims:
Okay, so maybe it would have been nice if the Disney folks made a stronger effort to direct Miley down a different path, but as we said before, Billy Ray should have spoken up! Instead of burning some serious bridges and publicly blaming others, he would be MUCH better off taking some of that blame for himself…and then PRIVATELY taking measures to correct the situation. What do U think? Is Disney to blame? Billy Ray? Both of them? NEITHER of them??? [Images via WENN.] |
The Ladies Of The View Weigh In On Bieber-Gate! Posted: 17 Feb 2011 12:30 PM PST Everyone's got an opinion!! Quite a bit of controversy has erupted over some of the comments Justin Bieber made regarding abortion, rape, and politics in his interview with Rolling Stone Magazine, and to the surprise of no one, the ladies of The View were more than vocal about their thoughts on the matter this morning! Ch-ch-check out the discussion (above)! Personally, we think that Barbara Walters gets it exactly right when she says, "You can look at it as something coming out of a young mind who is still growing." Lots of tough questions we're asked during that interview, and although we may not agree with everything he said, we're just happy that he is thinking about these issues and trying to come to his conclusions about them! What do U think?? Were Bieber's comments out of line?? |
Seinfeld Cast Remembers Uncle Leo Posted: 17 Feb 2011 12:20 PM PST No one is feeling the loss more of Len Lesser than his of Seinfeld family. For many years, Len was simply Uncle Leo to the cast and in the wake of his death, they have come forward to remember him. Jerry Seinfeld released a statement calling Len a "very sweet guy," and mourning his passing. He recalled one of his favorite memories of Len, an episode of Seinfeld in which Uncle Leo is arrested for shoplifting a book. Jerry added that the cast "always loved having him on the show." His costar, Jason Alexander, took to his Twitter soon after and tweeted his sorrow over losing Len. He tweeted:
Sounds like he will surely be missed by a lot of folks. Sad day. We continue to send our condolences to his family and friends for their loss. [Image via Getty Images.] |
Brian McFadden Escorted Off Flight After Drunken Meltdown! Posted: 17 Feb 2011 12:10 PM PST What on EARTH makes people think that they can behave this way?! Australia's Got Talent judge Brian McFadden was reportedly escorted off an international flight today by Federal Police after he essentially had a drunken meltdown of epic proportions on his way from El Lay to Sydney! According to witnesses, he was seated in business class on a Virgin flight with Kyle Sandilands, when he began drinking heavily, abusing flight attendents, and even started SMOKING before his fellow judge was forced to restrain him! The cabin crew was forced to report his behavior to Sydney's ground staff and was apprehended by upon arrival. What a piece of work! How completely disrespectful to everyone else forced to deal with that - and during a flight, of all places! We imagine that he's going to have A LOT of explaining to do! Tisk, tisk, bb! Thoughts?? [Image via WENN.] |
Posted: 17 Feb 2011 11:50 AM PST Congrats, papa! Rod Stewart and his wife, Penny Lancaster Stewart, welcomed their second son yesterday in El Lay. Coming into the world at 7 lbs., 12 oz., lil' Aiden Stewart is reportedly "healthy" and his parents are "blissfully happy", according to the couple's rep. BB Aiden is Rod's eighth kiddie and his second with Penny. Aww! Precious! Big bro Alastair is one lucky kid! [Image via WENN.] |
Letterman Offers His Apologies To The Lohan Family For Making Them Look Bad Posted: 17 Feb 2011 11:40 AM PST Oh trust us, Dave - this is a minor incident in the larger scheme of things in the world according to The Lohans. Last night, Dave Letterman took a moment to explain himself and the whole Lindsay Lohan incident to his audience. As you well know by now, Miz LiLo was allegedly slated to do a Top Ten appearance on The Late Show, but it turned out Lindsay's commitment to the gig was greatly exaggerated by, who else, her father. Take a listen to how Dave takes one for the team and blames himself for the mix-up. (above) Stand up guy that Letterman. He's gotta learn to stop being so trusting though! |
The Kardashians Are SURRIOUSLY Ka$hing In! Made $65 MILLION In 2010! Posted: 17 Feb 2011 11:30 AM PST The reality of this may chill us to the bone, but we doubt anyone will be shocked, given their insane amount of overexposure. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the entire Kardashian family pulled in a collective $65 MILLION in the year 2010, thanks to their endless reality shows, endorsements, products, appearance fees. Yes. This means that they made more than Angelina Jolie, Sandra Bullock, and Tom Cruise COMBINED. Family matriarch Kris Jenner credits their success to being able to make the She explains:
LOLz! Agree with her take on parenting or not, you can't deny that this woman knows how to keep the family franchise going! And for that, you have to respect her! What do U think?? Can U believe that the Kardashians pull in $65 million a year?! |
The Relationship Between Snyder And WB Strained Posted: 17 Feb 2011 11:20 AM PST Not good! Right on the heels of the information that Guy Ritchie might be replacing Zack Snyder on the 300 follow up, Xerxes, we get news that the relationship between Snyder and the WB might be more strained than we thought. Why? Well, a source has this to say:
We're somewhat surprised at the mention of Sucker Punch's quality, because until this point it looked visually interesting enough that we were kinda looking forward to seeing it! Snyder had been relatively hot for WB, but it looks like that's simmering down when the studio looks back at the lackluster box office numbers for both Watchmen and Add all this to the rumors of the script for the Superman reboot being in dire need of help in the last act, and you have confidence disappear in a huge rush. Zack, bb, we're still holding out for you here! We hope everything ends up amazing for you!! Thoughts?? [Image via WENN.] |
Gwyn Uses The Power Of The Goop To Bring Peace Between Ryan Murphy & The Kings Of Leon Posted: 17 Feb 2011 11:10 AM PST It's been a turbulent ride, but we're glad there is finally peace. It's no secret to anyone that there is very bad blood between the creators of Glee and the Kings of Leon. There's been all kinds of nastiness said on either side of the line, but tensions came to a head about a month ago when King's drummer Nathan Followill spewed some particulary hateful venom at creator Ryan Murphy. We thought after that there would be no salvaging a relationship. However, we forgot about the undeniable force that is Gwyneth Paltrow. Sources report that while Gwyn was back at McKinely High filming her latest guest-appearance last week, she mediated a truce between Ryan and the band via text messages. We're told that both sides apologized and that everything is "all good now." In fact, if you were at KOL's private after-Grammy party at Trousdale, you would have thought the band was downright chummy with the show, as Darren Criss and Chord Overstreet were invited to join in the festivities. Darren even belted out a cover of the band's Sex On Fire. (Video, anyone? Please send to us immediately!) Like we said, we're all about rising above and we're glad to hear that this feud is pretty much put to rest. Just don't expect Chord to be singing Use Somebody anytime soon. We still don't think they are on that good of terms. [Image via WENN.] |
