Last night, Mehcad Brooks hosted a private dinner for Hennessy Privilege in West Hollywood.  And Hosea Chanchez, Solange Knowles, and Tristan Wilds were among the guests.  See pics inside...

Mehcad Brooks hosted a private dinner at Soho House in West Hollywood last night, on behalf of Hennessy Privilege.   

 

Looks like Mehcad arrived in style. 

As the perfect host, he made a toast to the table full of YBF celebs he gathered. 

Solange was there, sipping a mojito and rocking sequins.

"The Game" star Hosea Chanchez knows you always pose with the product.  Then they send you free stuff.

Mehcad chatted up fellow actor Jesse Williams at the dinner.


 

And Tristan Wilds was there, looking very dapper.

Later on the fellas posed for a group pic.  I see you looking good Michael Trevino, Tristan, Jesse and Mehcad.

Ex-Girlfriend Of Gabriel Aubry Claims He Is A "Borderline Racist" + Gabriel's Camp Starts Fighting Back

This morning in Halle Berry vs. Gabriel Aubry news, an unidentified woman, who claims to have dated Gabriel for two years, says the model is a "borderline racist." 

But now Gabriel's camp is fighting back and they have a few things to say about Halle.  Get the deets inside...

 

TMZ reports that a woman, who dated Gabriel from 2003 to 2005, told them that Gabriel was "very disrespectful to women" and "has always been a borderline racist."  We told you yesterday that Gabe has also been accused of using the N-word. 

The woman added that although he was verbal, Gabriel never physically assaulted her.  She also told the site that she plans on reaching out to Halle through mutual friends in the near future to offer support. (insert blank stare).

So far....Gabriel's camp had been completely silent.  Everything we reported was from "a source close to Halle."  But now, we have statements from "a source close to Gabriel."   

Radar Online reports that Halle sent Gabe a nasty email saying he was only good for one thing...a sperm donation.  All this comes, of course, from "a source close to Gabriel."

Gabe's source also said he has never heard Gabriel use the 'N' word and can't imagine him doing so.

"It's just not something that would come out of Gabriel's mouth.  "I'll confess that I've heard him call her "a f***ing b**ch" before -- when he's been provoked, but I am talking serious provocation," said the source.

He continued to provide the site with a few juicy tidbits that confirm what most people had been thinking.  She's the crazy one.  

"And it's very, very rare... usually when she would call him and go crazy at him he would go silent and let her rant and rave then just ask her 'are you finished now?'. I think that used to wind her up more than if he lost his cool with her, which, admittedly I know he did on a couple of occasions.

But there's no way he was ever abusive to her. It's completely the other way around if anything!

Halle's timing in these 'revelations' speaks volumes. It's amazing how she's only now chosen to come forward about all this 'abuse' and Gabriel's 'bad parenting', basically after he went to court to legally establish his parental rights.

All Gabriel wanted was to ensure his legal entitled access to his daughter, and to not have to be at the mercy of Halle's moods as to when and how he could see Nahla.

And now Halle's totally gone off the deep end, because it's all about her and it's all about her controlling Gabriel and controlling the situation.

She's totally gone into spin mode and is trying desperately to paint herself as this tragic victim figure, as she's done many times in the past.

But I've seen evidence to the contrary, and trust me - she's no tragic victim, far from it.

I honestly think Gabriel should release some of these messages he has from Halle, and tell his side of the story, but he won't, he said he's going to save them for family court, which will be a private, press-free environment. I know it sounds like I'm painting a picture but Gabriel truly does not want to do anything at all that could potentially damage his daughter, and he knows attacking Halle in the press would ultimately do that.

Unlike Halle Berry Gabriel is not concerned with the public believing he is the 'wronged one' and with controlling his image - he is concerned with his daughter and her welfare.

Perhaps if Halle spent more time truly worrying about that and less time worrying about how she's being portrayed in the press the situation would be better and easier for all concerned."

 

Honestly, Gabe's source sounds like a PR Crisis Damage expert....but then again, so does "a source from Halle Berry."

The couple we're most envious of--because they spend pretty much every day of their lives for the past couple years on a luxe yacht or somebody's beach--has hit Thailand.

 

Naomi Campbell and her man Vladislav laid out oceanside on one of the prettiest beaches in the world yesterday.  Pics of Na's bikini bo, her new British GQ cover and epic interview when you read on...

 

Nomi showed off her flawless skin and bod in her black bikini.

 

And played around in the ocean with her boo.  Cute.

Must be nice....

VP: I like the girls a lot, they’re beautiful. I like the calendar but it’s not the most important thing. As for the other one, well, in almost any country, probably in Russia in particular, it’s fashionable to criticise people in power. If you come out in support of someone like me, you’re going to be accused of trying to ingratiate yourself. The girls in the erotic calendar were courageous and they were not scared. As student journalists, they couldn’t fail to understand what might have been said to them after doing this. Nonetheless, they were not deterred and did the calendar anyway. So, frankly, that’s what I liked the most.

NC: You’ve been known to attend bare-knuckle fights. Ever been in one?
VP: No, it’s not my sport; since I was 14, I’ve done judo. But the bare-knuckle fight I attended was very impressive. These guys are tough. I watched the Russian, French and British teams and each and every one of these athletes deserves great credit. There are even women who do it.

NC: Big women?
VP: Not big, just strong women.

I see her Russian billionaire boyfriend has been getting her all kinds of hook-ups with the Russians.  Smart move Na.

Raven Symone Returns To Primetime TV With "Georgia"

One of our favorite YBF chicks is returning to primetime television this fall and we have the happy deets about Raven Symone's new sitcom when you go inside...

 

Fans of Raven Symone will be excited to learn her new sitcom "The Great State of Georgia" has been picked up by ABC Family.  The show is billed as a "multi-cam comedy series about an exuberant plus-sized performer from the south and her science geek best friend who try to make headway in New York City."

The show also stars Majandra Delfino and Meagen Fay.  I'm pretty excited about this one because I think Raven is such a talented comedic actress.  And I'm not ashamed to tell you that I watch reruns of "That's So Raven" on Saturday mornings.  Yeah I said it.  Congrats to Raven!

 

NEWS FROM SPLITSVILLE: Christina Milian & The Dream's Divorce Goes Money Crazy+Terrence Howard's Wife Files For Divorce!

A few days ago, reports surfaced that Christina Milian wanted to nab 10% of her ex-hubby The Dream's earnings from writing Justin Beiber's hit "Baby."  But apparently Mr. Nash is backing out the deal.  And Chrissy ain't having it.  And the new settlement docs were just released today.

 

Deets on the latest drama of the split twosome, plus Terrence Howard's wife files for divorce!

In the divorce settlement, Christina was looking to cash in on Terius' serious royalties he will receive for writing Beiber's "Baby."  Dream no longer wants to give her that kind of money.  So Christina took it to the Georgia court to have them enforce it.  Peep the documents here.

According to Radar Online:

In a letter sent to Milian's attorney Randy Kessler, dated January 13, "The-Dream's" attorney claims that the multi-million dollar producer acted in "good faith" in an effort to "finalize this matter in a manner that would allow each person to do so with dignity and grace".

But that hasn't "been appreciated... we apparently do not have an agreement," the lawyer wrote to Kessler.

Kessler, who also represented Tameka Foster in her divorce from R&B star Usher, told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview -- "a deal is a deal."

"Justin Bieber is not the issue here... Ms. Flores simply wants Mr. Nash to adhere to what he previously agreed upon," he said.

Mmmm.  If you're wondering what all Chris got out the divorce settlement, she came out alright for herself.  She and baby Violet get:

  • Visitation and parenting time with the couple's daughter will be negotiated by both parties, but the view and goal is to have Mr. Nash able to spend as much of the time as he wants with the child, up to 50 percent, as the parties can best work out
  • Milian will receive $10,000 a month in child support which includes a $6,500 a month payment and up to $3,500 a month for day care, nanny and private school
  • Milian will receive $3,500 a month in alimony for two years or upon remarriage or proof of a meretricious relationship with the opposite sex lasting at least 60 days
  • Milian will receive 10 percent of the Justin Bieber single, Baby
  • Milian will receive free and clear a Mercedes G55
  • Milian and Nash will keep their own possessions, jewelry, the gifts that the other one gave them, their personal effects and each will retain title to their businesses that they currently own and operate.

$13,500K/month in support plus the Benz plus some royalties.  I mean it's not the multi mills Juanita Jordan or Camille Grammer are getting...but it'll suffice.
 

In other Splitsville news, Terrence Howard's wife of 1 year, Michelle Howard, has filed for divorce.  After she just dished to her pals how he had a romantic surprise for hr at the Sundance Film Festival a few weeks ago, news broke today that she went to the courthouse and filed for divorce.

Interestingly, Michelle put in the docs they had been separated on January 27th, 2011.  Around the same time as Terrence's romantic gesture.  READ THE DOCS HERE.

Radar reports she's seeking spousal support, and cites the California standard of ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for the split.  And she’s requesting Terrence pay her legal fees. No more baby wipes for HER.

The couple has no kids.  And it's 41-year-old Terrence's 3rd marriage and second wife (he married first wife Lori twice).

The star of "Running Russell Simmons," Mr. Russell Simmons himself, recently sat for an interview with the folks at Media Bistro where he talked about parenting and answered the one question everyone wants to know--what's it like being married to Kimora Lee Simmons?

Being so wealthy or Super Rich like the title of his new book, Russell feels the upperclass has an obligation to help the less fortunate.  Instead of raising spoiled monsters, Russell says to his little girls:

”I tell them that their job as they become more famous is to use their celebrity to help others, use their good benefit if it’s money to benefit others. And that that’s gonna make them happy, and that any hoarding, holding onto anything will result in sadness and they believe me, I think. So, that’s a constant discussion." 

And don't you want to know what it's like to be married to Kimora Lee Simmons?  Without giving away too many details, seems as those Kimora knows how to crack the whip.

“I think that Kimora is such a good mother and such a good disciplinarian – I know; I was disciplined for many years, kept in order. So, I know she’s good at that… I was under a good thumb and the kids are under the thumb now. So I know they ain’t doing nothing wrong, ’cause I could NEVER do nothing wrong.”

I love how Russell and Kimora get along so well and they are raising young priviledged girls with their heads on straight.  So good to see.

ARRESTED! Juelz Santana Taken Into Custody After Drug Raid!

Uh oh!  Rapper Juelz Santana just got caught up by the Bergen County, New Jersey police department.  He was just arrested and taken into custody tonight, only a week and a half after his studio was raided for drugs.

 

Deets when you read on...

 

According to Rap Radar, the Bergen County Police Department's Gang Office just brought Juelz into custody.  He's been arrested on 4 counts of narcotic and weapon offenses.

At the end of January, police raided Juelz's studio and two loaded 9 millimeter guns, ammo, 17 bags of marijuana and paraphernalia were seized.  Sigh.

Juelz recently welcomed a new baby with his video vixen girlfriend Kimbella.

TV FAB: Kobe's Wife Vanessa Bryant Is Copping A Reality Show? + Blooper Reel From "The Game"

Vanessa Bryant and Khloe Kardashian are 2 Laker wives that have been going at it ever since Khloe entered the picture.  While rumors have been hitting the net for over a year now that cat fights and ish talking between the two are common occurrences, it looks like Vanessa is bringing her own reality show to the masses to compete.

Kobe Bryant's wife, Vanessa, is rumored to be pitching a reality show to a few networks.  But not without bashing Lamar Odom's wife, Khloe Kardashian's, show first.

Word has it Vanessa has banned her hubby of 10 years from ever appearing on Khloe & Lamar's upcoming show, which just got greenlit by E!.  Vanessa also had a hand in banning cameras from the Laker locker room supposedly.  Why?  I'm sure that little "J" word has something to do with it.  Jealous of what?  Who knows. Both chicks are only "famous" because of who sleeps next to them a night. *Kanye shrug*

Yet and still, Vanessa is supposedly "seething" over the Odoms copping a show.  According to In Touch Weekly:

“Vanessa and Khloe have been longtime rivals,” an In Touch insider explains. “Vanessa has been pitching her own reality series, with no success yet, and she hates that rival Khloe is impinging on what she considers to be her terrority.” Another friend adds: “Lamar has been ordered by the power that be to not talk about the Lakers Lamar might not even be able to wear his uniform on camera.”

Beyonce was spotted making her way to a business meeting today in NYC.  We've got the pics of her cute metallic look, plus Angela Simmons at her hotel in London, and Djimon Hounsou rolling in his Ferrari, when you read on....

Beyonce hopped out her chauffeured suv in a white button down shirt, black tights, black YSL Trib Two pumps, and sequin shorts today in NYC.  She threw on her hat to hit up a business meeting.  Lovin' that Bottega Veneta bag and croc jacket.  Hot!

 

Across the country in L.A., Kimora's hubby Djimon Hounsou was spotted heading to his blue Ferrari after lunch with a friend at Il Pastaio yesterday:

And over in London:

Angela Simmons is still overseas hawking her Pastry line.  She was spotted heading out of the Mayfair hotel to a nightclub last night in an Amanda Wakely top.

Whitney Houston Sings At The Funeral Of Bobby Brown's Mom (Video) + Fabolous Sued For Assaulting Restaurant Worker

Whitney Houston sang "Precious Lord" at the funeral of Carole Brown, the mother of Bobby Brown. Come inside to watch the emotional video. Also, Fabolous is in a bit of legal trouble for allegedly assaulting a restaurant worker. Get the deets inside....

 

On Monday, Whitney Houston sang at her former mother-in-law’s funeral in Boston, Mass. Carole Brown, the 69-yr-old mother of Bobby Brown, passed away last Thursday in Los Angeles.

Whitney sang twice at the funeral. First she sang “Precious Lord Take My Hand” then she joined the members of New Edition to sing “Never Would Have Made It.” After his mom died, Bobby Brown announced that he would dedicate his life to celebrating the life of his mother.

In a statement released to the media, he said, "It is a sad time for me right now. I am experiencing a tremendous loss but I vow to celebrate her life in every way that I can with my entire family, including my fiancée Alicia, and my children Bobbi Kristina, LaPrincia, Bobby, Jr. and Cassius.”

 

 

 

In other music news...

Fabolous is being sued over allegations he attacked a restaurant worker in Atlanta.  Octavious Butler filed a lawsuit with Atlanta’s Fulton County Superior Court claiming Faboulous and an unnamed acquaintance struck him with a glass bottle as he cleaned their table at the city’s Fox Sports Grill.  

No word on how much money Octavious is asking for.

"The Game" star Tia Mowry dished about her new baby on the way.  She and her preggers cuteness hit Access Hollywood and we've got the video when you read on.  Plus, Teairra Mari's new "Body" vid....

 

When asked how she told her hubby Cory Hardrict that she was preggers--she said she was on location for a film, so had to tell him via phone.  But not before she sent him a pic of a postive pregnancy test.  Awwww.

Gabriel Aubry Accused Of Calling Halle Berry The "N" Word

In a shocking new development, sources close to Halle Berry are saying that Gabriel Aubry called her the "N" word and was verbally abusive during their relationship.  Deets inside....

 

 

TMZ reports that sources close to Halle Berry are saying Gabriel Aubry was verbally abusive to the movie star and called her the "N" word. 

In addition to vulgar text messages, sources say he was also fond of calling her a "f**king bitch" and other expletives.  The source ended by saying, "He constantly demeaned her. It was awful." 

This is outrageous.  If Halle produces texts messages sent from Gabriel that are demeaning in nature...it's a wrap.  The custody battle will collapse...along with his career.  It will be interesting to see where this goes.

 

Tyler Perry's Movie Posters For "Madea's Big Happy Family" + Bun B Teaches Religious Studies At Rice University + Wiz Khalifa Introduced Amber Rose To His Mom

Tyler Perry's alter ego Madea returns to the movies on April 22 and we have a peek at two of the movie's posters inside.  Also, get the deets on Bun B teaching religious studies at Rice University and what happened when Amber Rose met Wiz Khalifa's mama.

 

 

Tyler Perry has released two new movie posters advertising his new flick Madea's Big Happy Family hitting movie houses on April 22.  On the funny posters, Madea is featured as both Black Swan and The Godmother. I hope Tyler releases a few more of these.  He really knows how to advertise his products.

 

 

In music news...

 

Rapper Bun B has traded the microphone for textbooks and stained glass windows as the“Distinguished Lecturer" of Religious Studies at Rice University in Houston, Texas.  The southern rapper is teaching “Religious Studies 331: Religion and Hip-Hop Culture” at Rice University because he wanted to expand the discussion past Hip-Hop 101.  

“The whole point of me as a Hip-Hop artist and a representative of the Hip-Hop community teaching this course, was to inspire people that Hip-Hop doesn’t have to be confined within the conditions that we know it to be confined.  You don’t have to just be a Hip-Hop artist in a club, or an arena or a studio or on television or on the radio. That Hip-Hop has the opportunity to educate and inform and inspire people across all walks of life, within all settings. I feel like being able to teach at a college university is a perfect example of showing how Hip-Hop can influence the minds of the next generation."

Some may find it hard to imagine Bun B is this position, but when he describes the course and what it stands for, it's easy to see his passion and what he brings to the discipline.

“People are under the assumption that this is a course that I created, but this was a course that was already in existence with Rice in association with the H.E.R.E. Project. The H.E.R.E. Project is Houston Enriches Rice Education. And what they’ve done with this program is taken the opportunity to bring the rich cultural history of Houston onto the campus of Rice University. Me being a part of Houston’s culture, this is a part of that process. This was the first program that asked me to actually be a part of the process: the building of the lesson plan, the forming of the syllabus, the actual lectures taking place in the class—everything that helps define the course.”

So what are the students learning? Bun said,  

"In this class it gives them an opportunity to ask questions and go towards a deeper level of introspection with this not just being a Hip-Hop course but a religion in Hip-Hop course and being based out of the Humanities and Religious Studies department,” Bun explains. “So it’s really asking real questions about people. It’s not just playing music and showing videos and stuff like that. We’re having a real dialogue and we’re showing how Hip-Hop as a culture addresses the real questions in people’s lives and how that relates to one’s spiritual or religious quest in life."

 

To his credit, the class is doing well.  Its size has doubled to 250 students since the start of the semester. I think it's great that someone like Bun B can take his expertise from the street and put it in the classroom.

Wiz Khalifa seems very happy with Amber Rose. He even introduced her to his mama. 
When asked how the romance was going, Wiz simply said, "Currently cool."

Amber has made appearances at some of his shows and they often get flirty on Twitter.  In his interview with Funkmaster Flex, Wiz said during the AFC Championship game in Pittburgh, he introduced Amber to his mother and they hit it off.   

Maybe Wiz will write a song for Amber. He sure has a lot of new music on the way with his new album  Rolling Papers due on March 29, while his next single, "Roll Up," hit the Web last week.
