Rihanna made her way into Milan this week ahead of her show last night.  And she was rocking a furry cardigan for the occasion.  Oh...and was spotted cuddling up to her bestie Melissa.  Y'all know how Rih likes to get tongues wagging.  No pun intended.

Pics inside...

Rihanna hopped in the car after leaving the Armani Hotel last night with her girls.  And snuggled up to Melissa while making an exit.

But beforehand, she stopped and signed autographs for her fans.  By the way, the "We Found Love" singer recently beat out other top stars to be voted Facebook’s “Most Liked” music star in 2011.  She's creeping up on an approximate 48 million Likes.  Damn!

Posted: 14 Dec 2011 07:12 AM PST

As award season heats up, Oscar-front runners Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer recently landed Screen Actors Guild awards for their work in the blockbuster The Help.  Get the deets inside....

Since making its debut in 1995, the SAG Awards have become one of the most prized accolades in the industry, and two fab YBF chicks are up for top nods.

Judy Greer from "The Descendants" and Regina King from "Southland" announced the nominees for the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards yesterday at the SilverScreen Theater at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood.  And it was revealed that new adoptive mom-to-be, Viola Davis, was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for The Help. Her co-star Octavia Spencer was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role.  The movie received 4 nods total.

Other notable nominations were the casts of Bridesmaids and The Help for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture and Laurence Fishburne as Thurgood Marshall for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries.

Also Tracy Morgan and Amber Riley were both nominated for their work in "30 Rock" and "Glee" in the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. "Modern Family" was also nominated in this category (Kevin Hart played a small role this season). And the cast of "The Good Wife" were nominated for their ensemble work in the drama category.

I still think "Homeland" on Showtime was snubbed.  FANTASTIC show.

Find out who will win on the live show airing on TNT and TBS on January 29, 2012, at 8 PM (ET) / 5 PM (PT) from the Shrine Exposition Center in L.A.  Congrats to the nominees!

FOXY LADY: Barbie Gets a 'Fro, Just In Time For The Holidays

Posted: 14 Dec 2011 06:49 AM PST

For YBF chicks all around the world seeking a doll that is a reflection of themselves....Barbie put down the products and went NATURAL! At least a group has made sure she did.  Get the deets inside.....

Here a interesting Christmas gift you never expected.....a black Barbie doll with an afro!

Sure, Barbie has had "black" friends in the past, but they were usually on that creamy crack. This Barbie is rocking a natural 'fro, thanks to a group of creative folks.  They’ve remixed the dolls’ manufactured hair into natural styles using pipe cleaners, end papers, and boiling water.

The doll is the result of efforts by an African-American natural hair group who plan to distribute the Barbies to young girls at Booker T. Washington apartments in Columbus, GA for the holidays.  The

This is a fab initiative and I think it should be done with ALL women to spread the message that there is more than one type of beauty. And shows that Nicki Minaj isn't the only black Barbie around this season.

Sweet!

Common Stops By "Chelsea Lately," Talks Big Asses & Love Songs

Posted: 14 Dec 2011 05:56 AM PST

Common stopped by "Chelsea Lately" last night exuding sex. *fans self*  We've got the video and highlights of his chit chat about the beautiful women he loves and more inside.....

Common chit chatted with the funny host about his new show "Hell on Wheels on AMC (peep that hot promo pic above), his new album The Dreamer, The Believer, and why he can appreciate a large ass.  Here are the highlights:

On loving women with big asses like Serena Williams

I do like those, but I like all shapes of beautiful women.  It's in (black guys') nature...we like all types of women.  Black guys like white women too.  (Asked if he likes white women) Yeah, I like beautiful women.

On talking about the women he sleeps with and dates in his music

They don't really get upset because usually I'm saying something good about them.  I talk about that type of experience because you go through the experience and you put it in your music.  I've done songs like "The Light" which was really giving love to a woman and at that time, she was happy to hear that. There's a song called "Lovin' I Loss" on the new album "The Dreamer, The Believer" album that I'm talking about losing love and it's a true experience.  When the woman hears it she's going to be like, 'Aw man that's for real."  She won't feel bad.  I don't ever put them down.

On his 14-year-old daughter loving Diggy Simmons

She likes Beiber, she likes Rihanna, Diggy.  She'll hear some of my songs and be like, "that's not better than Diggy--Diggy's better than you. I'm like--you really believe that?

He flirted around asking Chelsea if she likes black men (and we ALL know she does), and she responded yeah...and it usually happens around a certain time of year.  Like the Holidays. Ha!

Common's starring on "Hell on Wheels" on AMC Sundays at 10/9c.

Tracee Ellis Ross Gets BLOWN On December/January 2012 VIBE VIXEN Cover, Tells Single Black Women They're Not DOOMED

Posted: 13 Dec 2011 08:42 PM PST

This chick never disappoints in the style department.  Tracee Ellis Ross is covering the December/January 2012 issue of VIBE VIXEN...and totally working it out with blown out caught-in-the-wind hair and a vintage The Police tee.  Only her.

Check out the full cover, plus the advice she's got for her fellow single black ladies, inside...

Tracee Ellis Ross wants her fans to know her for being Tracee...not for the Joan Clayton character many think she is.  So now that she's in her new "Reed Between the Lines" role on BET, she's schooling folks on the new ways she handling her new life.  Sidenote: I just watched her show last night for the first time since the premiere and it's surprisingly gotten much better after it's first episode.

We've always been in lust with her clothes, hair, and seemlingly fun and down-to-earth personality.  And now she's talking about her Cosby show comparisons, viewer response to her new show, and her advice for single ladies.  Check out the highlights from the YBF chick's interview with VIXEN below:

Ross on the viewer response to "Reed Between The Lines":

I don’t know all of the viewers’ reactions. The only access I have is through Twitter, but I feel really proud of what we’ve done … But it’s still very different from what’s been on BET and it takes people a minute either to find it or for their palate to get used to it because it’s not typically found on BET.

On comparisons to "The Cosby Show":

BET seems to be promoting it as the new Cosby, which I don’t think it helpful, and I don’t think makes sense.

On balancing her new responsibility as producer with acting:

I wouldn’t say difficult, but it’s definitely makes for a long day. But it is the kind of full plate that I adore. I adore this kind of work and it’s very rewarding. The producer role very much plays into the kind of person I am.

On how different her style is from her beloved characters, Joan and Carla:

I am different than both of those ladies. I dress sexier than Carla, meaning I wear more form-fitting clothes. I have a little more edge to the way I dress than both of the ladies. And I dress down way more than both of those ladies.

Ross’ advice to single Black women:

I don’t think anybody’s doomed if they’re single. The only thing that dooms you is if you’re not willing to stretch outside of your comfort zone to try different things.

The entire interview will be revealed on VIBE VIXEN's site December 19th.

The clip also features spoken word from Chicago poet Malik Yusef and a backstage conversation between 'Ye and Spike Lee.

And in other Throne news, the duo are at the Staples Center today (ahead of their 3rd concert there tonight) shooting the video for "Ni**as In Paris." Guess they're not going back to the City of Lights for it afterall.
