Hit-making producer Rico Love celebrated his 29th birthday at Vic & Angelo’s Coal Oven Enoteca in South Beach last night with a swanky party hosted by Usher, Mary J. Blige and Diddy.
During the dinner, Usher made a heartful speech saying,
He then took out his Grammy for Best Male R&B Artist and presented it to Rico.
And how can you top a present like that?
The room was filled with fab YBF chicks like Melanie Fiona, Rocsi and Gabrielle Union.
Gabrielle later posed with music exec Steve Rifkind.
Gabby also chatted with Juwan and Jenine Wardally Howard and Deborah Cox.
Teairra Marie, who's signed to Rico's record label, looked hot in this sexy sheer and sparkly number. She was spotted with Sylvia Rhone.
Then Teairra and Rico posed with Cherlise, who's also signed to Rico's Division1 label.
Yelawolf and Chris Bosh also came out to toast Rico.
Then Yelawolf partied with Deborah Cox.
Fat Joe's wife Lorena Cartagena attended with Robin Cartagena.
And across the room, Diddy, who also co-hosted, was spotted kicking it with his former Uptown MCA boss Andre Harrell and Irv Gotti.
Meanwhile, Maino hung out with Cee Lo Green.
And later, Cee Lo got a few smooches from Melanie Fiona.
Before his guests left, Rico said to everyone,
Sean "Diddy" Combs left Rico's party and rushed over to Mr. Chows' where he threw a launch party for the artsy book Culo By Mazzucco. And he dined with Mama Combs.
Then Robin Thicke and Will Smith both came through the party to show some love.
Pharrell also attended and he rocked his own BBC gear.
And Chris Bosh brought out with his wife Adrienne who was glowing with a baby bump we have still yet to see.

Lil Wayne's oldest kiddie, Reginae, just rocked a cute photoshoot recently. We've got a preview of what it looks like, plus how Busta Rhyme's daughter Mariah has grown up to be a YBF kid indeed... It's a Cash Money/Young Money laced YBF kids post. Head honcho Lil Wayne just helped his daughter Reginae celebrate her Cinderella style 13th birthday. And the fab youngin' recently rocked this cute photoshoot with ATL photog Robert Ector that shows off her fun style. Rob tweeted the preview pic saying it was a hot shot from their last shoot. No wonder mom Toya calls Reginae her mini-me.
And speaking of 13 year olds Weezy's newest Cash Money signee Busta Rhymes may have a problem on his hands. Busta's daughter Mariah recently turned the big 1-3, and her newest picture shows she's a YBF chick in the making. Such a pretty girl. Just when we thought this ish couldn't get anymore odd, Vanessa Long announced this evening she will still file her divorce papers. This newest statement comes after an initial statement of divorce filing this morning, then a follow-up statement saying she is withdrawing the petition.
The hoopla inside... The AJC is reporting that Vanessa Long, Eddie Long's indecisive wife, has decided to stick to her original script of divorcing the pastor who was accused of molesting young boys. In a statement issued this time by her lawyers, it was said the divorce petition would not be dismissed: "Mrs. Long continues to hope that this matter may be resolved expeditiously, harmoniously and fairly; however, she has determined that dismissal of her divorce petition is not appropriate at this time," Kilpatrick Townsend partner Michael W. Tyler said in a prepared statement. "To avoid any undue confusion, Mrs. Long's future statements, if any, will be issued through her attorneys," Eddie said in a statement: "Vanessa is, and has always been, a loving, dedicated and committed wife and mother. My love for her is deep and unwavering. It remains our sincere desire to continue working together in seeking God’s will in these circumstances." I do find it odd the second "I've reconsidered" letter came from the New Birth PR firm. They'll be better off not saying a damn thing else till that ink dries.... |

Monica looked great yesterday as she hit the IT toy store of the holidays yesterday--FAO Schwartz. The twosome posed it up with the real life toy soliders who welcome you in, and hit the BIG piano and shopped for toys for their 3 little ones they share together. And for themselves.

Wonder what it feels like to wake up one morning and just decide to BUY a professional baseball team? Magic Johnson would know. He and his group of investors have made an offer to buy the L.A. Dodgers. And they're not offering up chump change.
Get the deets on the BILLIONS the fellas have and Magic potentially making MLB history by buying the Dodgers inside... NBA Hall of Famer and uber businessman Earvin "Magic" Johnson has just announced that he--along with the other members of the Guggenheim Partners/Guggenheim Baseball Management Group--is interested in becoming one of the new owners of the Dodgers. He commented to ESPN today, "I'm a big baseball fan and you think about what the Dodgers have meant to baseball and to Los Angeles, and that part's a no-brainer. ... I've been to that place [Dodger Stadium] hundreds and hundreds of times." If it all comes into fruition, Magic Johnson will become the first black owner in the history of the MLB. CEO of the Guggenheim group Mark Walter would write the big checks; Steve Kasten would oversee the baseball operations; and Magic, who recently sold his ownership share of the Los Angeles Lakers, would work as a president or vice president on both the business side and in recruiting players. The group's competition is none other than bllionaire businessman and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban. And seeing that Mark just saw his Mavs to an NBA championship, he's going to be stiff competition. Magic and the Gugenheim group have more than $125 billion in assets under management! The sale process begins next week. And coincidentally, the then Brooklyn Dodgers (with legendary Jackie Robinson) were the first professional baseball team to racially integrate in 1947 since the 1880's. Talk about a change of heart! Vanessa Long, the wife of embattled pastor Eddie Long, has just withdrawn her divorce petition...only hours after announcing she had already filed.
Drama ahead... Well isn't THIS peculiar? In a statement emailed to press just this afternoon--which interestingly beared the New Birth church logo--Vanessa Long says she has reconsidered her decision to divorce her husband of two decades. She has conveniently been guided into this new direction due to "prayerful reflection." The AJC reports:
Vanessa...is someone holding a pistol to your head as you type? Blink twice if yes, once if no. Just sayin'.... We all know how suspicious this ish now looks. Good luck with that. |
